Chapter Eleven: "The Rescue Mission"

Darkness had secretly seeped its way into the kingdom. Heavy rain continued to pour over the kingdom of Domino. Everything had changed in the mere hours after Mandragora's unexpected assault on the Capital City.

Thankfully there hadn't been any kind of civilian causalities, however the report given by Lewis, had indicated there had been injuries among fairies, wizards, and a few witches.

Prince Oritel gazed through the tinted window as the rain pelted against the glass heavily. His mind reeling back to the last moments of his daughter battling Mandragora off.

The nerve of the twisted witch dragging Bloom along with her into the portal had caused him to be in such an irritated mood, muttering every damned curse under his breath.

Oritel winced upon Marion's touch as the fairy was trying to heal his injuries. Dark blood had stained his attire. The prince gazed down at her to see the tears streak stained her face. Her once vividly emerald eyes filled with spark were long gone. It was replaced with heavy sorrow. Marion had long forgone her fairy transformation as she was back in her pale blue dress.

He could see that she'd been trying to heal his wounds, but no magic had escaped her fingers as much as Marion tried to concentrate on healing Oritel. Her emotions were all scattered. Her magic becoming erratic. It was no doubt due to her heart slowly braking to pieces.

"Marion," he softly whispered.

The girl barely lifted her head to see the heartbreak flitter across Oritel's face. She had tried to open her mouth to say something that would comfort both herself and Oritel. But no single word would cross her mind.

Her emerald eyes had widen upon feeling Oritel's lips brush against her forehead. The prince had startled her.

He gazed at her with a firey hope of pure determination.

"We will find Bloom and get her back, my love. I refuse to lose my daughter."

Marion had seemed to register Oritel's words and gave a slow nod. But still, her chest continued to ache. Her thoughts had reeled back to Bloom being trapped in sort of dimension along with that wretched witch.

Who knows what was happening to her poor daughter?

Chills had ran down the back of her spine in fear over her daughter's life. The redhead fairy couldn't help but shudder at the thought of her daughter enduring some kind of torture under the hands of Mandragora. Or possibly the three Ancestral Witches, if that bastard had managed to spill the information to his so called Mothers. Because of Valtor, Bloom's life was endanger once more. If she ever saw Valtor again, she will personally incinerate him to nothing but ashes.

Marion gazed at the window to spot the palace coming into view as they approached closer to their destination. Her stomach was twisted into a knot. A tear had rolled down her face.

What was she going to possibly say to the king, queen, and her parents?

That Bloom had decided to sacrifice her own life in protecting her and Oritel from the wicked witch? That Bloom had managed to throw herself and Mandragora into the unknown portal. Mandragora had originally planned to kidnap Oritel, but instead, it'd been Bloom who defended them from the witch's clutches.

Alec placed his hand on Marion's shoulder, seeing the heartbreak flitter her face. His emerald eyes were filled with pity over his sweet sister. "Don't worry little sis, Bloom will be back with us again, soon. I promise."

"But first, we have to figure out what kind of portal it was in order to pinpoint the exact location of where Bloom might be." Remesu chipped into the conversation. Everyone had stared at him. They had forgotten that he was with them.

Oritel had the urge to reprimand him, but remained silent as he was drained out of energy. The brunet prince couldn't concentrate on anything else, besides feeling the throbbing sensation of his injuries.

Sweats had already formed on his face. Oritel felt as if his chest were tight. It was getting harder and harder for Oritel to breathe. Oritel closed his eyes, already knowing that the bugs' poison were beginning to effect him. His body throbbed and his head ached.

"Oritel," Marion had placed her hand on his cheek, as if trying to alleviate his pain. The car had rolled in front of the palace's drive through where Marion had noticed an entire group of guards had stood in a firm position along with the king and queen and her parents.

Marion's heart had dropped down to the depths of Domino. Shame had filled her face. She shouldn't have allowed Bloom to fight off Mandragora. No words or any form of excuses could be said.

"Don't worry Marion. Everything will be alright," Oritel whispered.

The moment the car had come to a complete stop, the door was opened by the guards. Lewis and Alec were the first ones to get out as they had needed to support the injured prince.

King Hyperion and Queen Leilani had appeared to be completely disturbed by seeing their son heavily injured by no other than Mandragora herself. That veil woman! Hyperion will certainly make her pay for it due to inflecting wounds on his precious son.

Oritel could easily see the enraged temper cross his father's face. This was certainly one of those times that his father happened to be in a hostile mood. A mood in which no one should dare cross his path, otherwise it could stir up some very unpleasant things to occur.

Queen Leilani had approached her son's side. Her brown eyes had fallen on the sight of Oritel's injuries. Sadness and worry shinned in her brown eyes over Oritel's well-being. The woman cupped her son's cheeks for solace.

"Where's Bloom?" King Hyperion asked, noticing the girl's absence.

A shift of uncomfortable tension filled the air.

Lassandra, Adrian, and Leilani had turned their attention onto the group. Worry and fear had plagued their souls—already sensing the tragedy looming in the atmosphere. Something happened.

"Mandragora and Bloom fell through a portal." Oritel spoke wearily, though anger laced his voice.

Bloom shouldn't have sacrificed her life for him or her mother. Watching his daughter slip from his fingers had caused Oritel's soul to ache. Worse of all, he had no idea where the portal led to. Just trying to pinpoint his daughter's location was going to be quite difficult. No amounts of words could comfort him or Marion.

Irritation rose on the king's face, utterly displeased by such information. He clenched his fists, struggling for composure. Hyperion's temper had spiraled out of control. "I specifically warned Bloom not to engage in combat with that vile witch. That witch is not to be trifled with."

"My love, this isn't the time to be saying such things, don't you think?" Queen Leilani's brown eyes had shifted onto her husband, equally appearing to be upset by such news.

The brown-haired woman was trying to get her husband to calm down.

Certainly, they'll find a way to bring Bloom back home.

The king considered the queen's words. She had a point. This wasn't the right time for him to lose his temper. He gazed at the teenagers and a few young adults before him. They were practically exhausted and drained from their magic. Even Marion appeared to be heavily distraught by what happened as her brother and parents tried to comfort her.

"You all need to be checked by the healer immediately over your injuries and get plenty of rest."

"And what about Bloom? We can't just leave her in that witch's hands." Oritel breathed heavily.

Hyperion narrowed his hazel eyes at his son.

"We won't Oritel. But this mission, isn't going to involve you or Marion in rescuing Bloom. It's far too dangerous especially since we haven't gotten any ideas as to where that portal led to. But I do believe I may have some suspicion as to where, but that isn't enough without some research."

Oritel felt his blood boil over the idea of him or Marion not being able to save their own daughter. Bloom was his responsibility, but yet, he had failed her for almost the third time. This time he had to at least prove himself right. It made Oritel hate himself with each failure, as if he couldn't be able to protect her at all.

Then what was the point of the professors' comments about him being an excellent, skillful warrior? Was it all just empty and meaningless words? How could he allow himself to become wounded by Mandragora's parasites?

His injuries were proof enough that Oritel needed to be more advanced in techniques in defeating that woman and the evil that was lingering in the universe.

Wicked laughter had echoed off the unknown realm. Darkness had swept the land entirely. There was no source of light spilling anywhere. There was no signs of stars, moons, or suns, or anything that indicated she was trapped in some kind of realm.

Dragons know where was she.

She groaned heavily, feeling her injured thigh throbbing in an unbearable amount of pain.

The girl was still in her fairy form—the only source that emitted a faint glow around her body. She couldn't even make out where she was. But something at the back of her mind told her that this place was very off. That it was giving off dark and unpleasant vibes.

Negative energy had surrounded her.

It felt like total isolation from the entire universe. No connections to the other realms. Just alone. Dragons knows how Oritel and Marion had felt as they watched Bloom throw herself into the portal along with Mandragora? Pure heartbreak and possibly an unimaginable amount of rage had torn right through their souls.

Bloom couldn't even manage to pull herself upwards.

She laid flatly on the cold ground. Not even her wings twitched.

In fact, she couldn't even move a single muscle.

Her entire body burned from the poison that was slowly seeping into her blood stream. Bloom, knew that if her infection wasn't treated in time, she would die. Her visions began to blur as the girl heard the creepy, thinly, voice cackled in delight over some kind of near victory.

Fear had washed over Bloom entirely. The redhead princess had felt a very powerful, but dark magic swirl all around her. A familiar sensation had ran down her spine. No. It couldn't be. No. She couldn't even muster out a single word.

Her eyes had enlarged. Her blood went cold upon the familiarity dark magic looming over her. This time it was different from either Valtor's or Mandragora's magical presence.

The Ancestral Witches.

"So this is the future Princess of Domino? Oritel and Marion's daughter. . ." one of the witches said gleefully.

"Well, this shall be very interesting indeed sisters!"

Bloom's visions had blurred as the blackness had threatened to send her into a world of unconsciousness. The last thing she saw was the old witches glancing down at her in eagerness—as if they were ready to inflict the worse torment upon her.

Oritel was in his bedchambers.

Night had already fallen as the prince glanced over the magnificent kingdom through the balcony window. He had white bandages wrapped all around his injuries. The brunet prince glanced at his phone and slid his finger across the screen. It had unlocked as he began to scroll down through the pictures he'd took of Bloom.

The way Bloom's beautiful face lit up in excitement while talking with Marion. He flipped through some more, although he had taken videos of her along with Marion and their friends. Her soft voice giggled at the commentary from Radius.

In a few weeks of knowing her, it had changed him entirely.

He loved Bloom more than anything in the entire magical universe.

Just hours earlier, Oritel cherished having that conversation with his daughter.

The more he flipped through the photos and videos, the more it crushed his heart. What happened to Bloom was unforgivable. If something happened to her, Oritel would never forgive himself for it.

Oritel's hands turned into fist balls out of pure anger and frustration. The man couldn't sleep without knowing where Bloom was located at. Who knows in what realms that bitch had taken Bloom to?

Fear had struck him.

His brown eyes gone wide.

What if that damned witch had taken her directly to the three Ancestral Witches. No! All colouring had drained from his face. If the old witches had known who Bloom was related too, but then again, Valtor may had personally given his mothers all the information they need.

Oritel cursed under his breath, as he paced around in his room.

There was no doubt in his mind that the witches would certainly torture his daughter or do despicable things upon her or much worse. Horror crossed his face. The prince needed to save his daughter from their clutches.

The prince heard a soft knock on his door. He instantly knew it was his mother who wanted to check on him, after being healed by the healer a few hours earlier. She had wanted to give him some rest.

"Mum," Oritel had welcomed Leilani into his bedchambers. He could see the devastation linger in her brown eyes over what happened to her son and granddaughter.

"Oritel, darling how are you feeling?" she pressed her lips together. Her eyes drifting off to the bandages wrapped around her son's skin.

"I'm doing fine, but frustrated. Do you and Father have any leads as to where Bloom might be? I need to know every bit of information there is. I can't exactly sleep without having any kind of reassurance."

Leilani gazed at her son, with quite a somber expression. She wasn't sure entirely how Oritel would react. The queen herself had flinched once the words spilled out of her husband's mouth. Her entire body stiffened, nearly petrified.

"Unfortunately from what your father discovered, Bloom may be trapped in the realm of Obsidian—"

"What?! Mum that place. . . my daughter . . . she could die there or much worse. The witches, they're most likely going to torture Bloom for the being the fairy of the Dragon Flame. Who knows what they'll be exactly doing to her. I can't stay here and do nothing while Bloom needs to rescued from the damned witches' clutches."

Oritel stormed around, seizing in absolute rage.

He never felt so irked from before.

"Which is the reason why your father is dispatching a group of powerful wizards and fairies. Your father is going along with them. Going to Obsidian is very dangerous—"

"I'm very aware of the implications, Mum. You've always told me that legend when I was a young child. But now, I need to go after Bloom and bring her back home."

Queen Leilani's eyes hardened on Oritel. "You will do no such thing, Oritel. You're still injured from Mandragora's attack."

The prince sighed heavily. He knew what his mother's true intentions were. Leilani had wanted to keep her son here in the palace, where it was safe from all the dangers that universe posed at the moment.

Oritel grabbed his mother's slender hands into his own.

He gazed at his mother tenderly who was about a head shorter than her son.

"Mum, I know you want to protect me with the best of your abilities, but we both know that I don't like to stay put when people's lives are endanger especially when it's family. I'm the Prince of Domino and it's my duty to protect lives." Oritel pressed his lips against his mother's forehead for reassurance. He could spot the faint glint in her brown eyes, in a way that told him that she was pleased with her son.

Worry filled her face. "Your father will certainly not like your involvement in the rescue mission."

Oritel gazed at his mother. "Don't you worry about it. I can handle father."

Queen Leilani had a gentle smile, as she headed out for the door. She turned her head. "Have a goodnight, my darling."

"Goodnight, Mum."

Finally, he was left alone. Silence had befallen within the room. His attention fixated back on his cellphone. Oritel was certain that Marion and her family had already left the palace back to their manor. He hadn't had the time to speak with her in private about Bloom's situation.

Marion had been in complete distress ever since Bloom disappeared. He even promised her to tell her any new information about Bloom that would surely lessen her worries. But then again, if his father had an inkling as to Bloom being trapped in that damned place. . . he closed his eyes. Oritel felt his pulse beating heavily.

Just telling Marion that Bloom may be trapped somewhere—to be in particular, in the realm of Obsidian. It would simply give Marion nightmares. But she needed to know the full truth.

Oritel pressed on the number. A few seconds later, a holographic image of Marion appeared before him. The man couldn't help but give a small warm smile despite his irritation and worry filling him up entirely.

He could see the sadness reflect in her eyes.

"Hello Oritel," she said in a gentle voice.

"Hi Marion," he returned the smile.

How was he possibly going to break the news to Marion?

Obsidian was a place of pure nightmares, with demons lurking on every corner and fairies would potentially be drained from their magic. Even Bloom. Despite the Dragon Flame being inextinguishable, the very source of the magical universe. Magic in that place would cease to exist.

"Is everything alright, Oritel?"

He swallowed hardly and gazed at Marion sternly.

"My father, he located Bloom."

The girl's red brows shot upwards in alarm. "Really? Where Oritel?"

Oritel shifted uncomfortably. "You're not going to like it. Bloom's trapped in Obsidian."

Marion's face completely fell apart as horror crossed her face. "What? In Obsidian? That place is a nightmare! Demons and monsters lurk all around. She could be—"

"I know Marion, which is why I'm going after her, myself."

Marion appeared to be hesitant. Her eyes shinned in worry. "But your father?"

"I know. And don't you worry about that."

Marion bit her lips and glanced at the prince. "I'm also coming along."

The brunet man froze once he heard those words spill from the fairy's mouth, looking utterly determined with her decision. "It's far too dangerous for you to come along. No. You'll stay here, where it's safe Marion."

The redhead fairy narrowed her green eyes. She hadn't appeared to be pleased with his words. "Regardless of what you're telling me, I'm still going with you Oritel. Our daughter needs both of our help wether you like it or not."

Oritel sighed heavily and instantly knew that whatever he was going to say to her, it wasn't going to convince her to stay and do nothing. If anything, Oritel could sense that Marion wanted to give ultimate payback towards Mandragora for managing to tear her apart from Bloom. A new kind of fury blossomed within her upon seeing such sparks light up in her eyes.

"You need to get some goodnight rest, Marion. You'll need your strength." Oritel smiled warmly, trying to sooth down her worries. Bloom would soon return back and be safe in their arms again. The Dominian prince wasn't going to allow anyone to tear his family apart.

"Oritel, you need your rest as well," Marion said, finally saying her goodnight before she had decided to call it for the night. He placed his cellphone on the nightstand. The first thing Oritel had needed to do tomorrow in the morning, is to speak with his father in private.

Oritel was beyond annoyed as they were in the king's private office discussing several strategies in rescuing Bloom from Mandragora's clutches.

Irritation crossed the prince's face. The audacity of Remesu's presence had ruined Oritel's mood entirely for the worse. He hadn't expected him to be apart of this very mission as well.

He couldn't help but glare at Remesu.

Of course, his father had suggested that the experienced wizard should go along with him and the team of fairies and wizards as for he was the one to have informed the king and queen of Bloom's precise location. Obsidian. The thought of it just sent cold chills down his spine and his eyes were filled with fury.

Oritel couldn't help but feel as if something was very odd with the platinum-haired wizard. It just gave him unpleasant vibes. Almost as if he could feel dark magic surrounded them all.

Every time Remesu was around Bloom, him, Marion and their group of friends, something bad always happened especially when Mandragora shows up out of nowhere. Another thing to add to his list, was the dark wizard, Valtor. He would never appear around the same time as the wicked witch. How peculiar?

"Obsidian isn't reached by magic. It exists beyond the Magic Dimension," Remesu informed.

"Yes. I'm very well aware of that, and to access the gateway in Obsidian Circle, a specific key is needed," King Hyperion said sternly.

"And where do we find the key, father?" Oritel asked.

"If memory serves me, it would be located somewhere in Pixie Village. The pixies have access to all sorts of keys in the entire magical universe," Queen Leilani informed.

"We have to go to Magix then—"

"Magix is over runned by Mandragora's minions and monsters. It's too dangerous. . .we need to carefully plan it out. We can't just pop right in the middle of chaos, Oritel," Hyperion said, his tone came off rather harsh.

Unexpectedly, a translucent magical projection had sprung, dark wicked chuckle had bounced off the walls within the room. Everyone wore stern expressions. The adults had easily recognized the familiar laughter. It was no doubt it was them.

The Ancestral Witches.

Sparks of flames had sizzled from Oritel's finger tips. His eyes narrowed at the three old ugly women who were cackling in delight as if they had enjoyed rubbing it in their faces. The prince will certainly get his revenge on the trio if they had dared to lay a single finger on his precious daughter.

"Well, well, well, isn't this delightful to see you again King Hyperion," Belladonna crooned evilly. Her eyes glowing with thirst for power.

"Belladonna!" the king spat back, his hazel eyes shooting daggers at the three sisters.

Belladonna was the leader between her two sisters, Liliss and Tharma. She was the one who would point out direct orders to her servants (and minions) who were under her dark spell.

The elderly witch was extremely sadistic and malicious, followed by her sisters who would take the pleasure in inflicting torture among fairies, specific witches who allied with the fairies, warriors, and wizards.

The prince had watched with full attentiveness, as the conversation unfolded before his eyes. Oritel's brown eyes had widened upon seeing the image of his unconscious daughter. It had stung Oritel's heart. Something within him had snapped at that very moment. His expression had morphed into that of pure rage.

Lewis had placed a hand on the prince's shoulder, gently trying to calm Oritel down. Oritel had rarely shown this kind of side of him. The side that no one really knew about. At that moment, the prince had the urge to spring into action and tear the witches piece by piece until there was nothing left but bones.

The squire had a disgusted look on his face, also throwing a death glare at the old witches for harming the young princess.

The king had seethed as for the queen looked on the very verge of tears. Hyperion stood an inch away from the translucent Belladonna who had uttered words that would send one to their very grave.

Lewis hadn't known that the king could display cruelty as well, but then again, he had considered that it was own granddaughter's life on the line. Any parent or family member would go at extreme lengths to protect their loved ones.

"It'd certainly be a shame if something tragic would happen to her, wouldn't you say sisters?" Liliss patted Bloom's bruised cheeks.

Remesu narrowed his amber eyes at the witches. His eyes flickered with some kind of irritation. Was it anger he felt towards them? Fury over his mother over the way they had treated Bloom? If any indication of anger he felt, Remesu had tried not to express much with the exception of being absolutely disgusted.

His mothers had known that Valtor was in disguise—playing the role of an important, wealthily wizard, named Remesu Spellbinder. They were very well of the fact that he was the one that had been handing them very useful information about the planets he'd visited and their secrets. The witches would certainly not spill a single word of this.

"I would say so, Liliss," Tharma chuckled. "It would be a pity that the girl would not survive this ordeal."

"And it seems that she may not last much longer since the poison is flowing through her bloodstream. I would give about twenty four hours or the princess would face her untimely demise. Time is of the essence and if I were you—"

Oritel couldn't help but lose his patience. His temper got the better of him.

"Damn you to Shadow Haunt! I will hunt you down and save my daughter from your clutches and I will put an end to all this for once and for all," Oritel fumed. He had it with those damned witches who'd been nothing but a pain in the arse. They had caused chaos and destruction all across the magical universe.

"Good. One more thing, bring Marion along. If she's not present, well, all I can say is that you'll never get to see your precious daughter again. We will not tolerate any sort of intervention or else the girl will pay for it dearly in ways you can't even imagine," Belladonna warned, turning her attention back to the King and Queen of Domino.

They translucent versions of the Ancestral Witches had vanished.

Queen Leilani appeared to lost all coloring on her face as the woman glanced at her husband to see him storm around the office lividly. Sparks of flames kept escaping his finger tips out of frustration. "They're trying to lure into a trap, Oritel. They are extremely deceiving beings. They're using Bloom as a hostage."

"You think I don't know that, father. But still I'm going to save my daughter no matter what you'll try to say!"

Hyperion narrowed his eyes at his stubborn son. "And what if behind all their agenda, Lord Darkar was looming over the Ancestral Witches? After all, the witches serve his every command."

Oritel furrowed his brows. "And how can we be sure that they aren't acting on their own command and not Darkar's?"

"The Ancestral Witches fears his existence, but they want to achieve the same goals as him. And so naturally, they had allied with him in wanting to cause destruction and chaos all across the universe and more importantly they want to end out royal bloodline.

Darkar would go to extreme lengths in achieving the Ultimate Power, which is the purified Dragon Flame in order to access the Realix Dimension. And right now Bloom's flame is weakened. The witches want you to fall into their trap."

"The Realix Dimension? How would he be able to access something like that?"

"The Codex."

It was enough for Oritel to know what the Codex were. He wore a grim expression on his face. There is about seven Codex pieces that were scattered all across seven particular planets.

If they were pieced all together, the Codex would create a portal to a hidden realm that was forbidden to access as the Magix Council had decided to cut if off from the rest of the Magic Dimension. The horrors that laid beyond the hidden realm itself was unimaginable with demons, monsters and dark creatures that lurked, waiting to be freed into the Magical Universe causing ultimate destruction to all worlds.

"Darkar couldn't possibly have—"

"No. But he's planning on seizing all the codex soon. If he gained access to Realix, the horrors unleashed from within the realm is too great to speak of," the king rubbed his temples in frustration. He knew it would be a matter of time. Darkar's cruelty was well known all across the universe. He was utterly ruthless in his pursuit of absolute power.

Oritel closed his eyes in frustration. "I'm still going to save Bloom no matter what. Her life is on the line and I simply can't lose her."

The king had let out a heavy sigh, fully knowing that his son wasn't going to change his mind at all. Oritel already had his mind set on rescuing Bloom from the Ancestral Witches. "Very well, Oritel, but you're not going alone. Remesu and Lewis will be going along with you."

Queen Leilani appeared to be surprised by her husband's words. She tried to reach out to him. The king gazed at his beloved wife's eyes reflecting an emotion. She was worried about their son and granddaughter. He grabbed her hand and gave her a gentle squeeze of reassurance.

"Mum, don't worry. I'll be fine, alright." Oritel promised his mother.

Oritel founded himself in front of Marion's manor alongside Remesu to his annoyance.

Remesu side-glanced the prince. His eyes were filled with curiosity.

"So Bloom's your future-daughter. It makes perfect sense as to why you've been giving me the dirty looks all this time, which I thought was a bit odd. So I assume that no guy is good enough for your expectations?"

Oritel couldn't help but give him a glare.

"At the very least, you have the right idea in mind. You will never be good enough for my princess."

Remesu only chuckled in amusement. "But you have to realize one thing, this isn't exactly your choice Oritel. It's Bloom's choice in the end of who she wants to be with. You can't deny her that. And if you did she'll start thinking otherwise of you. . ."

"Like what exactly?" Oritel entailed, raising a single eyebrow.

"You're a stubborn traditionalist, and so the way I see it, you'll probably put her in some kind of arranged marriage."

"Of course I will. It's expected of her as being the Princess of Domino." Oritel emphasized the importance of upholding the Domino's royal family tradition and it was very common amongst other royals across different realms.

"Oh. I wonder how Bloom will feel about that?" Remesu enjoyed taunting the prince—hitting Oritel's every nerve he possibly could, seeing how much Oritel could handle it before steam would pour out of his ears. It seemed to Remesu, Oritel was at the edge of wanting to throw a punch in his face.

"Well, I wouldn't worry about that Remesu. Bloom places family above all." Oritel smiled tightly.

"Hmm. . . you know something, I find Bloom's skin very appealing."

Remesu couldn't help but gaze at the prince to see the startled expression cross his face.

"When I look into Bloom's blue eyes, I see the wonder, the curiosity, and the love burn ever so passionately. Her lavish wavy red-hair. It drives me insane that I just want to fill her up with all the desires I have towards her right under the stars, preferably in the royal gardens."

At this point, Oritel felt the heat travel up to his cheeks. He was red in the face. Remesu could easily tell that Oritel was fuming on the inside.

"Are you implying that—" he growled.

"That I want to have sex with your daughter. Yes I am. But I respect Bloom's decision, as she wants to wait until marriage. She's one admirable woman and I do have to give credit to Marion for raising such a proper woman." Remesu grinned. "And I do believe that even you think of Marion in such a way."

Oritel threw a nasty glare at the wizard. He looked on the verge of exploding on Remesu for his bold comments of his daughter and for assuming that he too had thoughts about Marion in such a way. Well Oritel did, but he would never outright say it to Marion's father. It was unsettling for a father to hear detailed things.

"Unless you don't find Marion appealing?"

Oritel appeared to be highly offended. "Excuse me? You have quite a tongue. Marion is enticing and a kindhearted soul with a burning passion. She's very caring and compassionate towards others. She's the woman I would spend the rest of my life with and would be an amazing mother and the prefect Queen of Domino."

"That is very thoughtful of how you think of my daughter, Prince Oritel," a deep, firm voice spoke up, startling both Remesu and Oritel from their mid-conversation about Marion and Bloom.

Adrian had gazed at the two men who carried their conversation a bit too far, unaware that they were in his presence. The older man shifted his green eyes to the light-haired wizard.

"And you on the other hand, the comments you made about my granddaughter is slightly disturbing. Not something Oritel or I would like to hear in details."

Oritel and Remesu's cheeks turned pink.

Adrian had welcomed them inside the manor. They were guided into the man's private office to discuss certain thing that revolved in rescuing Bloom and bringing her back home. It was a wide spacious room with an over looking window that showed the perfect view of the gardens. Tall wooden shelves contained over hundreds of books ranked in alphabetical order. Sunlight spilled into the room.

Apparently, Marion had been waiting for them to show up as she was sitting on the plush chair across from her older brother Alec. Fierce determination shinned in her eyes. Adrian had took notice of Marion's presence.

"Marion, sweetheart, what are you doing here?" Adrian asked.

It was clear to Oritel that he hadn't wanted Marion to be involved in a dangerous mission. Not that he could blame him for it. But no matter how much Adrian had wanted to keep Marion out of the mission, it wasn't going to happen.

Marion was involved as much as Oritel.

It was essential for Marion to be apart of the mission.

The girl had a sharp look on her face. "I have to be here Dad whether you approve of it or not. Bloom's my daughter and I have to be involved in the rescue mission."

"But it's far too dangerous for you, love. You're not even an Enchantix fairy yet," Adrian softly reminded her.

It made Marion more determined than ever in earning her full fledge fairy form just like her own daughter who finally completed her Enchantix. "And this is my chance to prove myself, Dad. I'm not exactly a little girl and I can take care of myself."

"I really admire that sweetheart. But you know, as a father I will constantly worry about you and your brother." Adrian turned to Alec. "You will protect your sister at all costs. In fact, I should tell you all to be very careful and be safe. Obsidian is a very dangerous place."

Excruciating pain radiated across his arm.

Damn that viel witch and Remesu.

That wizard had toyed with them the entire time! He was constantly seeking out reliable information from them as he was stringed along with them to every place they were at.

It wasn't the only thing that had disgusted the prince.

It was how close Remesu. . . no but Valtor had been to all of them, in particular to Bloom. He had talked to her, touched her and even kissed her. It was utterly disgusting! A dark wizard fashioned himself into an innocent man!

What had shocked the prince the most was the idea of him being from wealthy family from Andros whose parents had mysteriously vanished when he'd been a young child. It was a complete lie. More like a fraud.

He couldn't wrap his mind at the thought of the dark wizard working so close to his own parents!

Gaining every information he possibly could get his hands on, all the secrets and classified information and the structural layouts about the palace and where the most valuable artifacts were protected.

Valtor knows everything and there was no doubt in his mind that the young wizard had been spilling all those classified information to the Ancestral Witches, and Lord Darkar and their allies.

Crown Prince Teredor had cursed under his breath lividly.

Oritel had been right about Remesu.

But the way Remesu had acted with them so innocent and naïve about everything had caused such a believable effect upon them all. He had manipulated them for his own personal gain.

Teredor wandered through the dark, cold, realm. Aimlessly. He knew that he was trapped in some kind of unknown realm. There was a faint light in the distance. Perhaps it was a way out. He continued to walk to the faint source of light despite the pain radiating in his arm and leg.

Once he had gotten closer to the source of the light, his olive green eyes had widened in horror. It was a fairy. But it wasn't any random fairy, but Oritel and Marion's daughter. He bended down to the girl.

"Bloom? Bloom? Can you hear me?"

There was no response from her. Not even a single twitch of a muscle.

Teredor had pushed the hair out of the girl's face to see that extremely pale, more so than usual, and heavy sweats formed on her face. An indication that the girl was in some kind of pain as her chest heaved heavily for air. He grabbed Bloom's hand and tried to feel for some kind of pulse.

Teredor had got a pulse to his relief, but it was weak. The prince's eyes had drifted off to see a huge wound on her thigh and it was pretty deep. It was no doubt that it was Mandragora's dark bugs that had pierced Bloom's skin.

He knew that if Bloom didn't get the help from healers, then she was doomed to die from the infection that was seeping into her blood, unless. . . .no he couldn't wait for that. Bloom was far too weak to just wait for some kind of healer to spring out of nowhere. It wasn't going to be possible.

His mind had instantly clicked.

He remembered Niobe informing him all about Enchantix—the final stage that a fairy can earn to be a rightful guardian of her world. It had payed off. A brief image of Niobe reeled into his mind and his heart had ached deeply for her. Teredor had hoped that she was doing alright and if Valtor dared to hurt his precious girl, he will murder the damned wizard, slice him up to pieces.

Bloom was a full fledge fairy, so she's bounded to have a fairy dust bottle on her. He had spotted the bottle that was attached to her necklace and gently grabbed it. He uncapped the vial. Fairy dust was another way for a fairy to receive treatment as it was a very powerful antidote amongst fairies.

He carefully poured some fairy dust onto Bloom's thigh. He closed the dust bottle and watched as the dust seep into Bloom's exposed, tendered wound. Time had slipped by and he wondered if the dust would at least work. It should. Or so he hoped it would work.

The prince had spotted trickle of black ooze escaping from the infected area. He sighed in utter relief. The dust was working effectively on Bloom as the fairy's limbs began to twitch.

Teredor watched as the girl began to stir with heavy and painful groans. Bloom's breath had become erratic and her entire body had shaked, as it'd reacted to the fairy dust that was cleansing her system from the poison. Much of the poison had exited out of the wound.

Bloom's eyes opened. Her visions were slowly becoming clear. Her head throbbed heavily. The last thing she had remembered was throwing herself onto Mandragora into the portal. Her parents faces had appeared right before her eyes as they tried to reach out to her—to save her from Mandragora's clutches.

"Teredor?" Bloom whispered painfully. It was difficult for her to speak a word. Her throat was dry and rasped. Her entire body ached terribly. She closed her eyes. "What happened?"

"It seems that Mandragora's bugs poisoned you. But I used your fairy dust bottle to pour dust onto your wound and it worked thankfully otherwise you would've died," Teredor said calmly. He was pleased that it hadn't come to that.

"Where are we?"

"I'm not too sure, Bloom. But it appears were trapped in some kind of unknown realm."
