Hello everybody Zelda777 here with another chapter of the Eternal Love of Twilight. I hope you all are enjoying the story so far. I'm sorry for the delay in this chapter but for some reason when I typed this address in the address bar it showed that this site was for sale now that I can write I will try to keep you all entertained. So for now let's get started on chapter twenty-eight.
The next morning
Link woke up and looked next to him and saw that Minda wasn't next to him. He got up and put on his royal robes and walked out of their bedroom. He was met by Volk
"Hey, Volk have you seen Midna." Link asked.
"Yes, your majesty she is in Twila's bedroom," Volk replied.
"Thank you, Volk."
"You're welcome, your majesty."
Link walked towards Twila's bedroom and nodded to the guards at her door. He walked in and saw Midna asleep on the floor next to Twila's bed. Once he walked in Twila woke up and was about to call him. But Link put his finger to his lips and pointed to Midna. She looked to see what he was pointing at and saw her mother asleep. Link walked to her and picked her up and walked out.
He walked to the dining hall with Twila in his arms.
"So how is Daddy's, Little Princess."
"Good."
"Great job, you said a new word." Link said. "So what do you want to eat for breakfast."
Twila looked at him and shrugged.
"How about you try Daddy's favorite breakfast of eggs and bacon."
Twila nodded her head quickly.
Once they got to the dining hall Midna was there waiting for them.
"So you think you can take Twila while she was sleeping and walk to the dining hall," Midna said furiously.
"Well you were sound asleep and when I walked in the door and Twila woke up so I decided to take her to the dining hall to wait for you."Link replied defensively. "Right Twila."
Twila nodded her head.
"Well, I can't really argue because I left the room and didn't let you know where I was going."
"Yeah, you had me worried, I thought something happened to you."
"I'm sorry I worried you."
"It's okay, I love you so much that I worry about you."
"And I love you too."
They kissed and sat Twila down in her high chair. Then they sat down. Zert walked to them and greeted them.
"Good morning Your Majesties and Your Highness," Zert said bowing. "What can I get you today?"
"I would like the usual," Midna said.
"Could you get me some eggs, sausage, and hash browns?" Link replied. "And can you get Twila some eggs and bacon in a small portion?"
Zert nodded his head. "Of course your majesties."
Once Zert left Midna looked to Link. "So you are ordering for Twila now."
"I asked her if she wanted to try Daddy's favorite breakfast and she nodded yes."
"Oh, is that what happened Twila."
Twila nodded her head. "Right."
"Well if it's alright with her then I guess that's alright," Midna said. "So Link what's on the schedule for today."
"Well to tell the truth I am free today, "Link replied. " So I was thinking about me and you taking little Twila to see the realm of light."
"Wait what?" Midna asked making sure she heard correctly. "I thought the sages said not to come back."
"Thye did but the goddesses said they would let me." Link replied, "I want to show Twila where I am from."
"Are you sure the Elders will approve of this?"
"I asked Vegt last night and he said that it was alright," Link replied. "He also said that it will do Twila some good to know where I am from."
"Yeah, that is true," Midna said. "But do you think she will be alright being exposed to light?"
"Well, she is a Half-Hylian and Half-Twili, "Link replied. "So she should be just fine."
"Yeah, that's true." Midna agreed.
Just then Zert walked up with their food.
"Here are your food your majesties and here is Your highness's."
"Thank you, Zert."
"You are very welcome your majesties," Zert replied bowing.
Once Zert left Link and Midna continued their conversation.
"So what do you think Zelda is going to say about our daughter?"
"To tell the truth I actually don't know what she is going to say," Link replied. "I know Uli will be excited."
"Why do you say that?" Midna asked.
"Well, you see I am like a son to them so that will make Twila their granddaughter."
"Yeah, that would be nice for her to know at least half of her grandparents." Midna agreed. "But I'm still worried that she will take the light from the sun too harshly like I did when Zant exposed me to too much light."
"Everything is going to be fine." Link assured her. "Plus the sages said I can bring her to the realm of light any time."
"Did they guarantee her safety?"
"Yes, they said she should be safe from the light of Hyrule because she is a half-blood."
"Well, I guess I should stop worrying about Twila because she isn't a full-blooded Twili."
Once they finished their food they got up and went to get ready to go to the realm of light. They walked Twila to her bedroom and Midna went in to put Twila in her Royal Robes. Meanwhile, Link went to go talk to Vegt the Chief Twili Elder.
"Your Majesty are you taking Twila to the realm of light today," Vegt asked.
Link nodded his head. "Yes, I am."
"Well, make sure you stay safe. Also, make sure that you keep Midna and Twila safe as well."
Link nodded his head. "Of course, I would. I would protect them with my life."
"I know you would it's just that I am worried that something will happen to them or you."
"I will be extra careful just so that you wouldn't be worried." Link replied.
"Thank you, Your Majesty," Vegt said. "I should know that you would protect them for you fought against Zant twice and also fought Enza, Former Elder Zurk, and Velt."
"Yeah, they were all a part of the Sols' way of having them test me to see if I am worthy of being the Eternal King of Twilight."
"Well, I better let you go before Midna gets worried that you are taking a long time to get to the Temple of Twilight," Vegt said bowing.
Once Vegt left Link went to the Palace Entrance where Midna and Twila were waiting for him.
"What took you so long?" Midna asked. "You left before we did."
"Well, when I was on my way here I ran into Chief Elder Vegt." Link replied. "He wanted to tell me to make sure that I keep you and Twila safe from harm."
"Oh, Vegt sure is a worrier." Midna said nodding at Link, "So let's be on our way."
Twila held out her arms to Link. "Daddy."
Link reached out and took her in his arms. Once she was settled in his arms she fell asleep on his shoulders.
"Well look who has her wrapped around her little finger," Midna said teasingly.
Link laughed quietly. "It looks like someone is getting jealous."
"I'm not getting jealous. It's just that I thought that our first child would take a liking to me before you."
Link looked at her. "Well, some things don't work the way that you think that they are going to happen."
"Yeah, that's true," Midna said. "I didn't think that my father was going to be killed."
"You thought that he would be alive to see his first grandchild," Link asked.
Midna nodded her head. "Yeah."
The two of them walked in silence for a while. Then all of a sudden an arrow whizzed by them.
"Here take Twila." Link told Midna.
Midna reached for Twila and Link put a barrier spell around her and Twila he summoned a ball of twilight energy and hurled it toward the direction that the arrow came from and it hit someone. They cried out in pain. Link walked toward the direction of the sound and saw that it was something that resembled a Zora.
"Who are you?" Link demanded.
"I am a guard for the Zora kingdom and you are trespassing on our land." The Zora replied.
"Well, I'm sorry that We are trespassing but we are heading to the Temple of Twilight."
"You may be on your way after you see our King." The guard said getting up and walking to Link and grabbing him putting his arms around his back and he escorted him and his family through an archway. Link looked around and noticed how excellent the architecture is. Once they got to what he supposedly thought was the throne room the guard walked up and bowed.
"Your Majesty I found these three wandering through the river."
"Who are they?" The King asked.
"I didn't get the chance to ask them but the male said they are heading to the Temple of Twilight."
Link looked to the King. "If I may speak your majesty. I am Link King of Twilight and this is my wife Midna and my daughter Twila."
The Zora King looked at him. "You surely aren't a Twili."
"No your majesty I am not." Link replied. "I am from Hyrule in the Realm of Light."
"So the rumors I heard about a light dweller being the King of Twilight are true." The King said. "I am King Hiri of the Zora."
"It's pleasing to meet your acquaintance." Link said bowing.
"There is no need to bow to me in fact I should be the one bowing to you." King Hiri added. "For you are the King chosen by the Sols of Twilight themselves."
Midna looked to the King. "Wait how do you know that."
"You are wondering how I know." King Hiri asked. "Well, I can see the marks of the Sols on his right hand."
"That makes sense," Midna replied while shifting Twila to the other shoulder. She was still sound asleep.
"I'd like to ask you something."
Link nodded. "What is it that you would like to ask?"
"Well, you see we are a small kingdom and we would like some protection from your kingdom."
"What will you give us in return?" Midna asked.
"Anything you want," King Hiri replied.
"What do your people specialize in." Link asked.
"Well, we Zora are great architects, and also we are excellent fishers."
"Well, this is not a decision I can make on my own I need to consult with the elders of my kingdom to see if this is acceptable to them for we have to agree on things."
"I thought the King can do whatever he wants." The Zora guard said.
"Ilin I didn't ask you to say anything." King Hiri scolded.
"I'm sorry your majesty," Ilin replied.
"Well, before my rule that was the case but I changed it because I think it is better and easier to rule a kingdom if you agree on things," Link said. "If it keeps the people happy then there wouldn't be no chance for a rebellion."
King Hiri looked at him. "That makes a lot of sense. If you don't mind my asking, how long have you been King of Twilight."
"Well, it has been about eight years." Link replied.
"Wow, you are pretty wise for not being King for that long." King Hiri said impressed. "Okay talk it over with your elders then get back to me as soon as you can."
Link and Midna both nodded their head. The movement woke Twila up. Midna tried to calm her but she reached out for Link. Link took her in her arms and held her in his arms.
"Sorry, your majesty but it seems that our daughter likes her father more than me."
"No, it's alright my first daughter was like that too." King Hiri assured. "Well, I will have Ilin here escort your majesties to the Temple of Twilight. For now, it is in this land."
Ilin looked to his majesty and bowed. "Of course, I will take them right away."
Once they left Ilin looked to Link. "You are pretty good with the twilight magic being a light dweller and all."
"Well, I can't really say that I am an expert, but I had a pretty good teacher." Link replied looking to Midna.
Midna grinned. Ilin looked at them and shook his head. "Are you two newlyweds?"
Midna shook her head. "No, we've been married for ten years now."
"Really, well you two sure don't act like it," Ilin replied. "You two act like you two were just married a month ago."
"I'm sorry but we were separated from each other for a pretty long time." Link said. "Midna here shattered what I thought was the only entrance to the Twilight realm. But I found my way here well with Midna's help. But she was in disguise."
Ilin looked at them. "If you don't mind my asking your majesties how long have you known each other?"
"I'm actually not sure but I know we met in the realm of light."
"You mean when Zant attacked the palace."
Link and Midna both nodded their heads. "Yes pretty much."
"When Link entered the Twilight he turned into the Twilight Sacred Beast."
"You're joking right," Ilin asked.
Midna shook her head. "No, I'm not joking. He did turn into the Twilight Sacred Beast. Show him Link."
"Here take Twila for a second." Link said.
They stopped where they were for a second. Midna grabbed Twila and held her while Link focused his energy to blend with the light of the Twilight realm and he transformed into a wolf."
Twila saw that for the first time and started clapping. "Daddy- Wolf"
"Wow, so it is true," Ilin said finally after Link transformed back into his human self. "So that makes you the Eternal King of Twilight."
Link nodded. "Yes, I am the Eternal King of Twilight."
They walked in silence for the rest of the trip until Ilin stopped them.
"Well here is the Temple of Twilight," Ilin said pointing to the building.
"Thank you Ilin for the escort." Link said reaching for his hand(Or should I say his fin) and shaking it.
"Just following the orders of my King," Ilin replied. "Well, be safe on your trip."
Link and Midna both nodded. They waited for him to leave before they opened the portal to the realm of light.
"Well, Midna are you ready to go." Link asked.
Midna nodded her head. "Ready when you are."
"Alright let's go."
They walked through the portal and Link and Midna felt the normal feeling of everything becoming a blur and they found themselves in the Mirror Chamber in the Desert of Hyrule.
