PREVIOUSLY-

"Andddd there goes Jake. Sam must've provoked him." Jared said as he sat up, immediately alerted at the sound as if it had triggered his own wolf.

"Do you need to go?" I asked him quickly.

He listened for another few moments before sitting back and answering me. "Nah, Sam would've howled again if he needed me or if it had been the leech."

I took a breath of relief.

He then continued, "I'm sure Sam explained to you about keeping your distance from Jake for a while?"

I nodded. "I know, Jare. I promised I'd keep my distance."

"I'm sorry babe, but we're going to be super overprotective of you until the danger has passed. We already were before you got pregnant, but our wolves are on overdrive now. Until that bitch is dead, we're probably going to be more wolf than man." Jared told me, reaching up to wipe his face with his hand.

I reached up and ran my fingers through the hair at the base of his neck. "Hey, it's okay. We all knew you both would be if I got pregnant. It's not just me you're protecting now."

About 20 minutes later, we heard another howl and Jared stood up immediately.

"Fuck, that is a call for assistance." He growled. "Dammit, I don't want to leave you right now."

"Go, Jared. Help your pack. I'll be fine here." I reassured him.

He nodded to me and started heading for the door. "One of us will be back soon. If it's not me or Sam, it'll be Paul or Embry."

I nodded and shooed him out the door, then the wait began.

It was over an hour later that I heard a car pull into the driveway so I rushed to the window, only to see Charlie's cruiser sitting there with him and Embry climbing out of it.

I quickly opened the door in worry and let them both inside.

"What's going on?" I questioned Embry immediately.

"There was a leech poking his nose around Charlie's place. It was a different one this time. Dark skinned with dreads. The rest are chasing him." He replied.

I gulped a few breaths and sat down, staring at nothing. "Laurent."

"Wait, you know that one too?" Embry asked immediately.

"He was part of the same coven as Victoria," I responded, still staring blankly, worried about what was to come and the fact that he had been to Charlie's.

"Let me go tell the guys real quick. I'll be right back, I'm just going outside." Embry told us before running back out the door.

Charlie just watched him before taking a breath and sitting down across from me.

"Well that was a fun way to be woken up from my nap." He stated, running his fingers down his mustache. "Jared burst in there nearly damn frantic, naked as the day he was born, and next thing I knew, I was being pushed out of the house and into the car with Embry to come down here."

"Jared and Sam are kind of on wolf-overdrive right now, so I guess they both kind of freaked when they found one of them near your house," I explained to him.

"Wolf-overdrive?" He questioned. I knew I was going to have to just tell him.

"Um, yeah. We – uh – just found out this morning that I'm –" I took a deep breath. "That I'm pregnant."

"Pregnant." He stated, staring off at nothing before turning his gaze to me and raising his eyebrows. "You're pregnant?"

It was that moment where a father finally has to truly accept that his daughter isn't a virgin, despite already knowing it in the back of his mind, and I could see it all written out on his face.

"Surprise?" I attempted, hoping he would react okay.

He ran his fingers down his mustache and sighed. "Well, I wish you'd have given me a chance to get a full head of gray hair before you turned me into a grandpa, but it's not exactly a shock. To be honest, I'm damn near surprised it didn't happen before now."

I stared at him in clear shock at his response.

"To be honest, Dad, I'm really surprised you're taking this so well," I muttered after a few moments.

"Bella, you live with and are, as you call it, 'supernaturally married' to two men. As much as I still want you to be my little girl, you're all grown up now. With how those boys are and always have been with you, I knew it was only a matter of time. Was it planned?" Charlie asked me curiously as I continued to stare at him in pure amazement.

"Uh, no, not exactly." I blushed, carefully brushing a small piece of my hair behind my ear.

"Not exactly? What's that supposed—you know what? Never mind, I don't want to know." He grunted. "Anyways, congratulations Bells."

I smiled up at him. "Thanks, Dad."

I heard the door and looked over to see Embry walking back inside and over to us.

"How was everything? Is everyone okay?" I asked him quickly, worried about the pack.

"They're great now. You definitely don't have to worry about that leech for sure." Embry told me excitedly.

My eyebrows rose immediately. "You mean he's dead?"

"Heck yeah, he is. I got to see Sam and Jared rip him to pieces in real time." I breathed a sigh of relief. "Sam phased out to start the fire and Jared is headed back here."

I felt like a weight was lifted off my chest. Laurent was dead.

It wasn't even a few minutes later and Jared came through the door, making his way to me and pulling me out of my seat to hug me to him and breathe in my scent. He pulled back and leaned down to kiss me sweetly.

When he pulled back, he whispered, "I love you."

"I love you too. I'm so glad you're okay." I told him with such a relief. I would be even more relieved when Sam was home too.

I heard Charlie clear his throat behind us and we both turned around to look at him. I then looked up at Jared and bit my lip.

"Dad knows," I muttered to Jared, who's eyebrows rose before he looked back over at Charlie.

"Well son, I guess congratulations are in order," Charlie told him.

"Thank you, Charlie," Jared replied to him happily.

"Now don't forget, I have the entire Forks County arsenal at my disposal, so if you and Sam don't take care of my daughter and grandchild, my boys and I will go wolf hunting. Understood?" Charlie told him seriously.

Jared just smiled at him. "You don't ever have to worry about that, Chief. Bella and this baby are the most important things in our entire world. You have no idea how happy I am about becoming a dad. I might not have had the best example of one growing up, but I've been learning a lot from you, so thank you."

I had tears gathering in my eyes as Jared spoke to him, and I could tell it was getting to Charlie too.

Charlie cleared his throat and looked away, blinking rapidly, before turning back to Jared and holding out his hand. "That, uh, that means a lot, son."

Jared forwent the handshake and opted to hug Charlie instead.

I had tears rolling down my cheeks as I watched the heartwarming spectacle in front of me.

When Jared stepped away from Charlie, he looked back at me and his hands immediately rose to my cheeks, using his thumbs to wipe away my tears.

"What's going on? Is everything okay?" I heard from the doorway. It was Sam and I knew he was concerned.

"Happy tears…"I replied to him, unable to stop crying. "I think these hormones are starting to get the best of me already."

Sam walked over to me quickly and Jared stepped aside, letting the alpha be the alpha.

Sam essentially inspected me from head to toe and when he was sufficiently happy that nothing was wrong with me, he finally leaned down and kissed me.

After breaking away, he looked in between me and Charlie.

"What caused the tears, honey?" He asked me, wiping away another stray tear from my cheek.

It was Charlie that answered before I could. "Jared and I had a little heart-to-heart about my new grandbaby and she let the floodgates open." He chuckled.

Sam raised one eyebrow and looked back at me. "So I guess I don't have to tell Charlie about the baby?"

I giggled. "I think that's been covered. Had to explain why the two of you are on wolf overdrive at the current moment."

Charlie reached out to shake Sam's hand and Sam took it proudly. "Congratulations, son. I already gave Jared the speech, but I'm sure you already know what it's about."

"I do. I can promise that Bella and the baby are both mine and Jared's top priority. Even when I'm having to deal with pack business, Jared steps in for the both of us." Sam explained to him before quickly turning back to the doorway. "Jared, you stay with Bella."

I looked between the two of them in worry immediately as Jared came back to my side taking a protective stance.

"What's going on?" Charlie asked, looking toward the doorway.

I watched as Paul walked in, followed moments later by Jacob.

"Charlie, meet our newest pack member," Sam told him before walking over to where Jacob was standing near the doorway.

I couldn't read the look on his face as he just stood there staring at everyone.

Jacob looked at Sam in confusion. "Charlie knows about the pack?"

Sam nodded to him. "The council deemed him worthy, especially with Bella being pack too."

Jacob's eyes flashed over to me in an instant and I wondered how much they'd told him in the pack mind.

"Welcome to the pack, Jake," I told him with a small smile.

"Jacob, you'll need to stay away from Bella until you can control your phasing. She's carrying precious cargo and Jared and I won't allow anything to happen to her." Sam explained to him very seriously.

"Precious cargo? What, it's not like she's pregnant or anything." Jacob stated and all eyes went to him.

I bit my lip as Jacob looked around in confusion.

I took a deep breath. "Uh, yeah Jake, I am," I responded truthfully.

His eyes widened and he looked quickly between me and Jared.

"What?! How? Who? Jared? Are you with Jared?" He spouted out rapidly as Jared stepped even closer in front of me, holding his hand out protectively. Sam stayed planted in front of Jacob, making sure that he wouldn't phase.

Jared spoke next. "Yes, she is with me, and I'm sure you know how someone gets pregnant."

Uh oh. I could practically sense Jacob eventually phasing from the conversation.

"When did that happen? Since when are you with Jared?" Jake asked me in a nearly defeated tone.

"I became married to Jared the same time I became married to Sam. Five months ago." I told him with complete honesty.

His eyes nearly bugged out of his head as he then noticed the rings on my fingers as well as the tattooed rings on Jared's and Sam's hands.

"Married? Both of them?!" He practically shouted.

Sam then looked at Jacob and pointed to the doorway. "Outside now. I'll explain in the pack mentality."

It was an alpha order. Jacob had no choice but to walk outside with Sam following behind him. I only hoped it would go over well, but I couldn't exactly see it doing that. Jacob wasn't like Embry, who took the news like it was just completely normal. Jacob had had a crush on me since the moment I moved back to Forks. I knew he wouldn't take the news well.

A/N- I know it's been a while and I'm sorry. I have so much going on at home and I've been spending as much time as I can with my kids as a family with their dad before the kids and I are being forced to move out on January 2nd. With that, the holidays, and trying to pack, I haven't had much time to just sit and write.

I do hope you enjoy this update and hopefully I'll have another update before Christmas. We'll just have to see.

On a happier note, I just submitted my TV pilot script to a huge competition, so now I get to wait 6 months for the winner to be announced. Wish me luck!

As always, please review. It warms my heart more than you know.
