Also please review and tell me what you think. Any advice that you have will not be criticized. In fact it would be most helpful. Enjoy.
This time it was Midna who had the same dream as Link except she talked to King Bulblin.
"What are you doing here King Bulblin?" Midna asked.
"I'm just here trying to remember what I did the last time I was here."
"Well you know that Link was from here."
King Bulblin nodded his head. "Yes, I know that. But what I don't understand is how someone who came from here turned out to be so strong."
"Actually to tell you the truth he wasn't really that strong to begin with. He just had the determination to save the people he most cared about."
"How do you know so much about him?" King Bulblin asked. "You being from the same land as Zant."
"Well if you don't know this already but me and him are married and are the Rulers of the Twilight Realm."
King Bulblin looked at her. "So there is a light dweller ruling the Twilight Realm."
"Yes, and Link said he dreamed about you here a night ago."
"Oh yeah I was trying to tell him that I was sorry for attacking his village."
"I will tell him for you."
"Thank you Princess Midna."
As the dream faded into blackness Midna woke up and saw that Link was still asleep. She stared at the ceiling for a while trying to comprehend what King Bulblin told her.
That really is strange that King Bulblin wants to apologize to Link for attacking the village. Midna thought as she drifted back to sleep.
Early the next morning
Link and Midna both woke up at the same time.
"Good Morning My queen." Link said, "Did you sleep well last night?"
"Well actually I dreamt the same dream as you did but I talked to King Bulblin and asked what he was doing there and he told me to tell you that he was waiting for you to tell you that he was sorry for attacking your village."
Link looked at her. "Really, he told you to tell me that. Besides how did he know that you knew me."
"I told him that me and you were the rulers of the twilight realm."
"What did he say after you told him that?" Link asked curiously.
"He actually said that there is light dweller ruling the twilight realm now and come to think of it the wat he sounded it seemed he didn't think that it was a bad idea."
"Well, if you see him tell him that I forgave him long ago."
Midna nodded her head as they both finished putting there royal robes on and they left to go wake up Twila so she could continue working on her presentation.
"Did you know that Vadt passed his exam?" Link asked.
Midna shook her head. "No, I didn't know that how did you know this."
"Well, I told the captain to give him the exam now. The captain told me he didn't think that he was ready."
"Then what did you tell the captain?"
"Well, he gave him the exam and he passed with flying colors as the examiner put it."
"I'm pretty sure that the captain was surprised with the results."
"The examiner told me that I have pretty good judgement."
"Well, you didn't get that judgement from the realm of light that's for sure."
"You're right as always it has been from trying to be a better king than any other king before me."
"If that helps you then keep on thinking about that."
They walked in silence for the rest of the way to Twila's room. Once they got there Rant bowed.
"Good Morning Your Majesties nothing to report through the night."
"Thank you again for coming early yesterday." Midna said, "You may take the night off to spend time with your wife and we'll have someone else guard Twila's door."
"It's not a problem and thank you for allowing to spend time with my wife."
Once Rant bowed and left Link opened the door and he saw that Twila was already up and ready.
"How long have you been up Twila?" Link asked.
"I just got up about ten minutes ago." Twila replied as she got her sandals on, "Is that a bad thing."
Midna shook her head, "No it's alright because pretty soon you would need to be independent. For as the princess of the realm you will start to have some more responsibilities."
"Mom, what kind of responsibilities did you have when you were the princess?" Twila asked as they walked to the dining hall.
"Well, the responsibilities that I had are less than the responsibilities that you would have because the land is bigger now than it was back then."
"Can you name some of them?"
"One of them that I had to do that you would do also is have meetings with important people."
Twila looked at her mother and nodded. "How about you dad what did you have to do when you were the prince?"
"Well I wasn't a prince for long before I became king but I had to go to meetings as well."
"Wait, you weren't born a prince."
Link shook his head, "No, my daughter I was a goat herder."
Twila laughed so hard that Link and Midna stared at each other.
"You are joking with me aren't you."
Link shook his head, "No, I'm not joking I really was a goat herder."
"Yeah, your father isn't joking he was a goat herder before he became a swordsman."
Once Twila realized that they were both serious she looked at Link. "Sorry for laughing it's just that I always thought that you were the prince from the realm of light and you met mom when Zant attacked."
"No, it's completely alright."
"Besides it is pretty funny that I married a goat herder of all the kinds of people." Midna chuckled, "But I love your father with all my heart as I do you."
Once they got to the dining hall they sat in their places when Zert walked to them and bowed.
"Good morning Your majesties and your highness what can I get you for today."
Twila answered first, "May I have some bacon and eggs?"
Zert nodded and looked to Midna and Link. "And what would you two like."
"I would like the usual." Link said, "Would you please ask the chef to give me a little bit extra please for I am really hungry."
"I would like the same thing that Link is having." Midna replied. "Besides how are you and Gavra are doing with the newborn."
"We are doing great with our newborn son."
"What did you name him?" Twila asked.
"We named him Vont after my great-great grandfather." Zert replied, "He looks a lot like his mother. Well let me get this order to Valt and your food will be out shortly."
Zert bowed and left. Once he left Link looked to Twila, "What did I tell you about interrupting when the adults are talking."
Twila looked down, "Sorry dad but I was just curious."
"It's alright for now but next time ask me before you want to say something okay."
Twila nodded her head, "Okay dad."
Once their food arrived they ate in silence. Until Midna broke the silence
"I feel that the baby will be born any day now"
Link looked at her with a mouthful of food.
"Well, I am looking forward to the birth of the baby myself. How about you Twila?" Link asked.
Twila looked at them. "I'm also looking forward to being a big sister like Ms. Avra."
"You like Ms. Avra don't you?" Midna asked.
Twila nodded her head, "Yes, I really love her. Is there something that you don't like about her."
Midna shook her head. "No, it's just that you talk about her a lot."
"Oh, that's all."
Once they were finished with their meals Link got up and was about to leave when Twila called him.
"Where are you going dad aren't you going to take me to Ms. Avra's today?"
Link shook his head. "No I'm sorry but your mother is going to take you to tutoring today for I have to talk to the captain of the Palace Guard early this morning so I have to leave right now."
"Will you be able to pick me up?"
Link shrugged his shoulders, "I'm not really sure but I will try if I can. But don't be sad if I can't okay."
Twila ran up to her father and gave him a hug. "I love you dad."
"I love you too sweetheart."
Once Link left Midna grabbed Twila's hand. "Come on let's not keep Ms. Avra waiting."
Twila and Midna walked in silence for a while to Ms. Avra's place until Midna broke the silence.
"What are you thinking about?" Midna asked Twila.
"Nothing."
"No, I can tell that you are thinking of something for usually you are really talkative."
"Do you think dad hates me?"
Midna looked at her. "Why do you think that?"
"It's just that lately he hasn't been dropping me off at Ms. Avra's anymore than he used to."
"Your dad is a really busy man nowadays since he has a kingdom to rule."
"But shouldn't you be the one to take care of the kingdom since he wasn't born a prince. And also that he was born in the realm of light."
"Well actually your father really loves our kingdom as much as he loves you, it's just that he needs to focus on the safety of you and me and also the safety of all the people of the Twilight Realm."
"Oh, would I have to take care of the kingdom in his and your place when you get older."
Midna shook her head, "No, actually have you heard of the legend of the Eternal Rulers of the Twilight Realm."
Twila nodded her head, "Yes Ms. Avra taught me about that about last month."
"You see, me and Link are those eternal rulers."
Twila perked up. "So I won't have to rule this kingdom."
Midna shook her head, "Not as much as we have but you will have responsibilities to help your father and I with the work that we would have to do."
They walked in silence for a little longer until they finally arrived at Ms. Avra's place.
"Now you be good to Ms. Avra okay."
Twila nodded her head, "That's exactly what dad always tells me."
"Well, me and him think a lot alike."
"I hope I find someone like that when I am older."
"Yes, you will for sure."
Once Link left the dining hall he walked to the palace courtyard to meet the Captain of the Palace Guard to talk to him about recruiting Vadt as a part of the royal guardsmen. Along the way he saw someone he hasn't met before and he noticed that it was a Rito. Link approached him cautiously.
"May I help you?" Link asked the Rito.
The Rito turned and looked at him. "Yeah, I'm looking for the King."
"I am he."
"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know that the rumors were true about a light dweller ruling the Twili people but it is true. I am Ovesht, the chief of the Rito."
"Pleased to meet your acquaintance," Link replied. "How can I help you?"
"Well I was wanting to talk to you about an alliance with my people and your people."
"What is it that you would have to offer us?"
"Well, we Rito are great for delivering things because we can fly pretty much everywhere a lot faster than any other form of delivery." Ovesht replied, "We are also excellent in wind magic and skilled archers."
"I'm really looking forward to having your people as a part of our land but I would have to consult the elders about your offer."
"How long is that going to take?"
"I will tell them and I will let you know as soon as I can."
Ovesht bowed and left. Once he left Link continued on to meet the Captain of the Palace Guard. It wasn't long until he finally made it. Once he got there Ragt walked up to him and bowed.
"Your Majesty, what can I do for you," Ragt asked.
"I would like Vadt to take over for Rant on Guarding Twila's door starting tonight."
"Of course your majesty but are sure you would trust someone who just barely joined the Palace Guard to protect your daughter."
Link nodded his head. "Yes I am absolutely sure about him. I trust him completely. In fact, would you please call him in so I could interview him."
Ragt bowed and left to retrieve Vadt. Link waited until Ragt returned.
I really need to get to know him. Link thought as he waited. I need to find out if he would protect my daughter even though it means his death.
Whenever Ragt returned Vadt was waiting outside the the courtyard.
"Your Majesty I have returned with Vadt."
"Of course send him in."
Ragt bowed and left and Vadt entered.
"How are you doing this morning Vadt?"
Vadt bowed. "I am doing well your majesty. What do you need me for?"
"I'm about to get to that, let me just congratulate you on passing the Royal exam."
"Thank you but I really didn't think I did to well."
"So they didn't tell you that you passed the exam."
Vadt shook his head. "No your majesty they didn't"
"Well they should have let you know because you will now be stationed as my daughter's guard."
At the mention of that Vadt looked up at Link. "Your Majesty I think I am too young to handle something like that."
"If you don't mind my asking but how old are you Vadt?" Link asked.
"I am only 11 years old."
Link looked at him shocked. "Really then that means that you are the youngest ever to pass the royal exam."
"Yeah I don't know why they gave me the test early because when I asked them when I will be able to take the exam and they told me that when I was 16 years old."
"Well, you see Vadt I have been watching the trainees in the yard for over 2 years now and you seemed like the perfect person to escort my daughter for when she travels the land on behalf of the kingdom."
"So what you are saying is that I am the only person that caught your eye in those two years."
Link nodded his head. "Yes, well since we are on this subject let me ask you this, are you left-handed."
Vadt nodded his head. "I am left-handed how could you tell?"
"I noticed by the way you handle the sword."
"Most people can't even tell that I am left-handed unless I tell them."
"The reason I could tell that you were left-handed is because I am left-handed as well."
Vadt looked at him. "Really."
Link nodded his head, "Yes, with that advantage we are hard to beat with the sword."
"I am also very skilled with magic as well."
"If you don't mind I would like to have a sword dual with you."
"No I actually would be honored to."
Once they were both into position. Link waited for Vadt to charge first but they both stood there waiting for one of them to make the first move. Link decided to charge first.
Meanwhile back in the Palace
Midna walked around the Garden as the gardeners were watering the crops the palace grows for the royal kitchen. When all of a sudden she felt as if the baby was about to come out. She collapsed on the ground and one of the gardeners ran to her.
"Are you alright your majesty?"
"No, can you go get the nurse and tell her that the baby is about to come out."
The gardener nodded his head and ran. After a few minutes Kerea was already there aiding Midna to the delivery room.
Kerea called her assistant.
"Radha will you go and get His majesty and tell him that Midna is about to give birth."
Radha nodded and ran out.
"I want you to just breathe deeply."
Link and Vadt were both wore out when all of a sudden Radha ran into the courtyard.
"Excuse me your majesty, but Midna is about to give birth."
Link stood up quick when he heard that Midna is about to give birth.
"Thank you Radha I will be on my way." Link replied, "Vadt will you please pick up my daughter from tutoring and take her to the hospital where I will be waiting."
Vadt bowed and left towards Ms. Avra's place. When Link stopped him.
"Wait take this with you. It is a letter to Ms. Avra that I gave you permission to pick up my daughter."
Vadt grabbed it and left once more. Link teleported to the royal hospital and waited outside the door to the OR.
After a few minutes Twila ran to Link. "Dad is mom okay."
Link nodded his head, "Yes, your mother is going to be okay."
Vadt caught up to Twila. "Your highness you need to stay with me and don't run off."
"I just saw my dad and I ran to him."
Vadt saw Link and bowed. "Your majesty."
Link looked to Twila. "From now on you need to stay with the guard that I assign to pick you up until you either catch up to me or your mother."
Twila nodded her head. "Yes father."
Link looked to Vadt. "You may leave now and make sure you don't miss the invitation."
Vadt nodded, bowed, and then left. Once Vadt left Kerea came out and told them the news.
"You may now come in."
Once Link and Twila walked in the door Link saw that their new son was a Hylian.
"Twila this is your baby brother Atra." Midna said, "Come and see him."
Twila walked up and she was already in love with her new baby brother.
