Hello everybody and welcome back to another chapter of The Eternal Love of Twilight. I hope you all enjoyed the last chapter. Again, if you don't want to miss anything please follow and also review and tell me what you think.

Twila looked at her baby brother and then at her mother. "May I hold him?"

Midna handed him to Twila but as soon as Midna let go Atra started crying.

Link laughed. "It looks like he is going to be a mama's boy that's for sure."

"Well, I hope you don't get jealous." Midna added, "Because Twila only wanted you to hold her."

Twila looked at her mother. "Really I wouldn't even let you hold me."

Midna shook her head, "No, in fact you wouldn't stop crying until I handed you to him."

Link walked out of the room until Midna called out to him, "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to tell the elders to gather the people so I could make the announcement of the birth of our son."

"Okay I should be out there whenever Kerea releases me." Midna replied as she watched Link walk out, "Twila you will have a lot more responsibilities now that you have a baby brother."

"Like what would I have to do?" Twila asked curiously.

"Well, you will be taking over some of the things that I do like meet with the ambassadors to discuss anything to make the kingdom a prosperous one."

Twila looked at the ground. "Will I have to travel to the ambassadors home lands?"

"Every once in a while you will but don't worry you will have some of the best of the royal guards to escort you and protect you."

Link walked to Chief Elder Vegt's place and knocked. Once Vegt opened the door he bowed.

"Your Majesty, I am sorry but I am not really presentable right now."

"No, it's alright I just want you to gather the people because I have an announcement to make."

Vegt nodded his head. "Of course your majesty, let me just change really quick and I will get on it right away."

Link started walking towards the balcony where he would make the announcement. Once he got there he noticed that Midna and Twila were already there but Atra wasn't. He questioned Midna about it.

"Where's Atra at?" Link asked.

"He is still to weak to be in the twilight so Kerea is administering the shot to allow him to draw energy from the Twilight." Midna replied, "She said it would take a couple of hours since he is a Hylian."

"Did you have to get that shot dad?" Twila asked.

Link shook his head. "No, I didn't have to because I draw power directly from the Sols of Twilight."

Twila nodded her head and looked to Midna. "What about you mom?"

"Yes, I had to get that shot also."

"Did I have to have it?"

"Yes," Link answered. "But we didn't know it at the time that you actually needed it until you got really sick."

"I don't really remember it much."

Chief Elder Vegt walked up to the makeshift podium and announced. "Thank you everyone for assembling at a very short notice but the King of this Realm has an exciting announcement."

Link walked up in his full Royal outfit and cleared his throat. "Hello everybody, I am pleased to announce that Midna gave birth to a very healthy baby boy."

At that announcement the crowd applauded. Link waited for the commotion to die down. Once it did Link continued.

"I am please to announce the birth of Prince Atra. I thank the Sols everyday for the opportunities that they give me to make a difference not only in my family's lives but your lives as well."

With that Link stepped back as the crowd applauded. Midna looked to Link with tears in her eyes.

"When you were up there you reminded me so much of my dad when he made the announcement of our wedding."

"Dad I have a question."

"What is it my princess?"

"How long were you married to mom before you had me?" Twila asked.

"I was married to your mother for about 15 years before we had you." Link answered clearly omitting the time when she was dead.

"Did I ever meet my grandfather?"

Midna looked at her, "Which one are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about the grandfather that would live here in the Twilight Realm."

Midna looked at Link unsure of what to tell her. Link saw Midna's reaction and he answered Twila. "No, I'm sorry but he was killed way before you were born."

"Oh," Twila said. "I'm sorry for bringing that up."

"No, it's alright but you did meet your grandfather from the Realm of Light."

"You are talking about the one I met in Hyrule when I was just a child." Twila responded trying to remember his name. "Rusl wasn't it."

Midna nodded her head. "Yes, that's the one who raised your father. Although Link never knew who his actual parents were Rusl and Uli took care of Link like he was their own."

Link, Midna, and Twila walked together until Link remembered he had to let the elders know about the Ritos.

"Hold on Midna I will pick you up from the hospital whenever I get done talking to the elder about a possible alliance." Link said, "I meant to let him know this morning but I got sidetracked."

Midna nodded her head. "Twila I want you to go with him so you could get a feel for talking to other people besides your family."

Twila nodded her head, "Yes, mother."

Midna watched Link and Twila walk out of the room before she headed to the royal hospital to pick up their son Atra from Kerea.

"So dad, who am I going to meet?" Twila asked.

"You are going to meet the Chief Elder and some of the other elders. But you are definitely going to meet the chief elder."

"Aren't you talking about Vegt?"

Link nodded his head. "Yes, how did you know?"

"I remember you talking to mom about talking to him about the alliance."

"Oh, that's good that you have great listening skills because you are going to need it if you are going to conduct meetings with the coming ambassadors."

"Mom also told me that I would be traveling every once in while to meet the ambassadors in their homelands."

Link nodded his head. "Yes, but mostly you will be meeting them here in the palace."

"I am really looking forward to actually traveling to see the world."

Link just looked at her.

"What, I haven't really been outside the palace much since I have started my tutoring."

"Well, you won't be traveling for a while since you would have to finish your tutoring lessons which should be just about complete from what I have heard from Ms. Avra."

"So that means I won't be seeing Ms. Avra anymore," Twila said clearly sad.

"No, you will still see her but it won't be for tutoring."

"Then what will it be for?"

Link looked at his daughter and smiled. "You could see her for visits."

"So I could visit her."

"Yes, but that won't be as often as you think."

Link and Twila finally made it to the throne room as the elders were waiting for them to arrive.

Link saw Chief Elder Vegt and asked. "How long have you guys been waiting?"

"Well Your Majesty, the Queen informed me that you have something to discuss with us so we came here and were waiting for you to show up."

Chief Elder Vegt turned and noticed Twila and bowed. "Your Highness I didn't see you standing there."

"It's alright Vegt, my father thinks I should get used to having meetings because he wants me to be in charge of the meetings with the ambassadors," Twila replied.

Link looked to his daughter then back to Vegt. "Speaking of ambassadors we have another request for an alliance."

Link and Twila sat in their thrones.

"Who is it this time?" Vaurt asked.

Link looked to Twila as if telling her to speak. Twila didn't get it until later.

"It is a race called the Rito." Twila responded, "They are a bird-like people who are excellent archers and can transport goods from place to place."

"I think that they would be great for taking messages directly to people we could use for future alliances and also to spread the word about if any place is under attack."

"Your Majesty, I don't really want to say this but you are taking this alliance thing a little to far."

"What exactly are you implying Daank?" Link said.

"I mean with so many different people there is going to be a lot more people to rebel against us."

"But also vise versa with a different variety of people we would have a whole bunch of strengths," Cang countered. "I think that it would be really helpful to have a different varieties of people like Hyrule does because everybody has weaknesses but with a different variety of people we will have some strengths to cover those weaknesses."

"That was my point exactly." Link replied, "You really think that Cang."

Cang nodded his head. "Yes your majesty I do."

"I am to know as soon as possible so I could let the chief know of your decision."

"Why do you always ask us if we should like to form alliances with the people?"

"That's an excellent question Vaurt," Link replied. "What would the point be if I made all of the decisions and none of you really like what I do so I ask you so we could make the Kingdom a better place not just for me, but with everyone."

The elders whispered amongst themselves. Link looked to Twila. "So, do you think you could handle the meetings of the ambassadors like I do with these."

"It may take some time for me to get used to but I think I could handle it." Twila replied.

Once the elders made their decision Chief Elder Vegt spoke on behalf of the rest of the Elders.

"Link, I think that we the elders think that if you think having an alliance with a people will benefit us you should do it."

Link shook his head. "I don't really like that idea because, I really love having these kind of meetings with all of you because I don't want to be forced to make a decision that will harm the people so I ask you for advice because you are the Elders you have been really helpful to me."

"Okay we think that we could benefit from the Ritos." Zurk said.

Link nodded his head. "Thank you for your decision, I will let the Rito Chief know that we agree with the terms of the alliance."

Link, Twila, and the Elders stood and Link shook everyone's hands. Once the elders were gone Link walked back in to talk to Twila.

"Dad, are all of your meetings this short?" Twila asked.

Link shook his head. "Not the Trimonthly-meetings but these kind of meetings usually do."

"You make it look easy."

"Well, I have been doing this for longer than when you were born."

Link and Twila started to head to the Dining hall when all of a sudden Vadt came running to Link.

"Your Majesty but Midna told me to tell you that Atra has stopped breathing."

"Vadt would you accompany Twila to the dining hall." Link said as he broke off into a sprint. Once Link was gone Twila looked to Vadt.

"Would you take me to the Twilight Temple so I could pray to the Sols of Twilight for my baby brother."

"But your father told me to take you to the dining hall." Vadt replied, "And I have to listen to the orders of My King."

"Please, I can't just sit here helplessly."

Vadt thought about that for a minute. "Alright but let me just tell you that if the King asks me why I will tell him that you insisted on going there to pray for your brother."

"Okay, I will take the heat."

Midna just sat in the hospital as Kerea and the other doctors were trying to diagnose what caused this to Atra when all of a sudden Link run up to Midna.

"Is he going to be alright?" Link asked.

Midna shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know the doctors are trying to figure out what caused him to stop breathing but he is breathing right now."

Midna noticed that Twila wasn't with him.

"Where's Twila at?" She asked.

"I told Vadt to take here to the dining hall." Link replied, "But, I have a feeling that Twila talked him into taking her somewhere else because I sense that she isn't anywhere near the dining hall."

"Do you already trust Vadt to take care of her?"

Link looked at her. "I thought you liked the Idea of having Vadt as Twila's personal guard."

"I do, but it's just that he just barely became a part of the royal guard and you already assigned him something that may be too difficult to handle."

"I have faith in him and the Sols to protect our daughter it's just that I am really worried about Atra."

"I'm worried about him too." Midna said. "But I think that Vadt needs just a little bit more experience before I trust him by himself with our daughter."

With that the doctor came out with the news.

"Your majesties, Prince Atra is now breathing normally."

Link looked at him "Did you find out what caused him to stop breathing."

The doctor shook his head. "It's a total mystery of what caused him to stop breathing but I think that won't happen again."

Midna looked to Link then back to the doctor. "Doctor Caark are we to call you if anything happens."

He nodded his head. "Yes but I think that you wouldn't have any problems."

Nurse Kerea came out to talk the doctor.

"Kerea thinks that the cause of him not breathing was his reaction to the shot we gave him so he could draw power from the twilight."

Link looked at her. "Has anyone else had that kind of reaction before."

Kerea shook her head. "Not that I know of."

"How about you Doc?" Midna asked.

"Yes, I have seen that kind of thing happen before."

"Who was it?" Link asked curiously. "Or is that confidential."

"No, I will tell you." Caark replied, "It was Midna's mother Zalna."

"So it's not because he is a Hylian."

Caark shook his head. "No at first I thought that was the reason until you asked me if there was anyone else."

"Is it alright if we take the prince home now."

"Normally we would like to keep watch with him first to see if he is going to be alright," Kerea said. "But, I believe that he would be alright."

Midna picked up the sleeping Prince Atra. Once she got a hold of him her and Link made there way to the dining room where Twila should be waiting for them. But once they got there Twila wasn't there and Vadt was also nowhere to be found. Zert ran up to them and bowed.

"Your majesties, congratulations on the birth of the Prince."

"Thank you Zert, have you seen Princess Twila." Link asked.

Zert shook his head. "No, I haven't seen her since this morning."

Link looked to Midna thinking, See what did I tell you.

At that moment Twila walked in with Vadt when Midna started in on her.

"Now where have you been young lady."

Twila looked at her mother. "I asked Vadt to take me to the Temple of Twilight so I could pray to the sols to take help my little brother."

While Midna was talking to Twila, Link was talking to Vadt.

"I thought I told you to take her to the dining hall."

"I'm sorry your majesty but she insisted on going to the Temple of Twilight."

"Why did she want to go there?" Link asked.

"She wanted to go there so she could pray to the Sols to help her baby brother."

Link just looked down. "Well next time I want you to consult me first before you take her where she wants to go."

Vadt nodded his head. "Of course your majesty."

"Why don't join us for dinner?" Link suggested. "If you are not busy that is."

"I'd really like to if it is alright with you."

"Why wouldn't it be alright with you when I was the one to suggest it."

"That's a great point."

And with that Link and Vadt walked in the dining hall.
