~ Adventure Logs of Vampires with Monsters in Their Pockets ~

"Are you busy?" Damon read aloud the text he'd just received from Liz. "Sorry, I can't move right now," he murmured as he typed the words into his phone.

Then he held the phone up as far away from himself as he could manage and snapped a picture, which he attached to the message.

A pile of four freshly-hatched Eevee were sleeping on his chest. As Damon composed a follow-up text message without waiting for a reply (Stefan's Flareon keeps laying eggs under his bed and a bunch of them hatched while he was at school.), his Umbreon came down the stairs carrying another Eevee, which My Shadow then proceeded to place on his trainer's chest with the other four that were already there.

My Shadow made an unhappy sound as Damon's phone dinged with a message notification, startling the newest Eevee awake.

"Veeee," whined the baby Eevee.

"Shhh, baby," Damon murmured, stroking the tiny Pokemon's fluffy mane. Then: "Ow! Don't bite me!"

"Vee!"

"I'll put your little ass in a Pokeball if you're going to be like that."

At this point, My Shadow picked up the mean little Eevee by the scruff of its neck and deposited in on the floor beside the couch.

"Thank you," Damon said, with much less sarcasm than he could have used.

He looked at the message on his phone, which read: Well, is your Crobat busy? I got a call to remove a wild Skuntank from a house, but I don't have any Pokemon that are resistant to poison type.

"Hey, Mama Purple Bat," Damon called to his Crobat (who had finally let him change her name from Baby Blue Bat to something more fitting). "Do you want to go help our friend Liz fight some skunk monsters?"

Mama Purple Bat responded with happy bat noises and fluttered over to the door.

"My Shadow, use Psychic."

The Umbreon complied, using the move to open the door so that Mama Purple Bat could leave.
