I guess I've been hit with a huge bout of inspiration or something, because I've been updating for the past couple of days. And I know people have been wanting this to be updated, and here we are. Thank you all for your patience, and if your new, then please fav, follow, and review.

I'm just going to do the first episode, and then mention the rampage on Coruscant in the next chapter. That's right, we're heading to Geonosis, I hope you all are ready.

Now onto the chapter.

The Zillo Beast

The planet of Malastare was the next destination for the 501st, and the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps. The fuel that the planet produced, that were held by the Dugs, were a valuable source to either side to help power ships, and vehicles, so they were sent there to help defend the planet. So they were sent there to help guard the planet, and hope that the Dugs would allow them to use them. Unfortunately, the campaign wasn't going to well, Republic forces were close to losing the planet, to the point that a very large droid force was currently approaching the Dug Council building, and the capital.

The forces that weren't fighting across the planet, were setting , a defensive perimeter, which would include Torrent Company and Beta Squad. Huntress was currently standing behind some cover along with Cutup and Nax, while the others were spread out around the area. Basically, the cover they were using was mostly the equipment, tanks, or anything else in the area.

"So, what do you see?" Cutup asked Nax.

"Oh, you'll love this. A couple dozen columns, with more in reserve. Mixed with B1's, Supers, Crab and Spider's, I think I also see some Retails, and also tanks. Did I mention the reserves?" He said the last part sarcastically

"Well, we just have to rely on that new bomb to get the job done." Cutup said.

The Chancellor had also authorized the use of a new bomb as well, that would help turn the tide of this entire campaign. From what the reports said, it was called an Electron Proton Bomb. From what she was allowed to hear, it was basically an EMP bomb that packed a lot more firepower. When Tessa heard that, she remembered the Separatist Organic Bomb, and she could only guess the GAR wanted to try their own hand at that type of weapon.

Their forces were also told to watch out for it, once it was dropped on the droids.

"It sorta reminds me of that Organic one the Separatists had. Right, Captain?" Tessa asked Rex, who was nearby.

"Pretty much, kid. But enough chatter, we're about to have a whole lot of fight on our hands." Was his response.

Once the droids were close enough, they started to open fire. Tessa found herself ducking due to the hail of blaster fire that seemed to rain down on them. She felt someone tap her on the shoulder, and saw Cutup looking at her.

"C'mon sis, we got a battle to fight and win. We just need to hold on till that bomb blows them back to the factory they came out of. Besides, doesn't this all look fun?"

Tessa smirked under her helmet and said, "Pff, only you would fine this entire situation fun, Cut."

Tessa took a calm breath. She then whipped up, and used the large bolder they were using as stationary for her Rifle. It was a good call, due to it allowing her to pick off her targets more accurately.

"Looks out!" Someone yelled.

Tessa looked up, and immediately ducked when she saw a couple of shot down Vulture Droids came crashing down. None of them came close to hitting them, but she still heard the explosions when they hit the ground. She even looked on in shock and worry when a couple crashed into a couple of AT-TE's.

"Someone's gotta tell those artillery and tank operators to watch where they shoot." Nax grumbled.

"It's not like they can control where they land, unless their Jedi." Cutup said.

Tessa had to shrug in agreement with that. She then somehow heard the sound of engines throughout the fighting, and noticed the Fighters and Bombers were approaching the droids.

"All units in the area, the bomb is about to drop. I repeat, the bomb is about to drop. Be prepared for communications to be cut off, and make sure to take necessary measures for safety. And keep on guard once everything settles down." General Skywalker said throughout everyone's comms.

Tessa grinned under helmet, activated her comm unit and said," Hey Echo, are you going to repeat that to everyone?"

There were a couple chuckles from the rest of squad, while Echo grumbled some not so clean words.

"You just love to rib him, huh?" Cutup asked in clear amusement, even though they were in a middle of a battle.

Before Tessa couple respond, the sound of something large hitting the ground was heard from a distance.

Everyone found themselves seeing a large explosion seem to expand, and also to keep a spherical shape had hit right in the middle of the main droid column. Even though they all didn't have an aerial view, they knew the resulting explosion from the detonation pretty much incinerated anything that was in or around ground zero. If the explosion didn't cause enough damage, then the shockwave did. Droids were torn from the ground up, and Tessa had to duck it bit when windy debris came, but she got up to see the final part of it.

The final part of the bomb started to detonate. A large blue spherical ball of energy came next, there was a loud high ringing, and the sphere soon expanded outward. The droids that weren't incinerated, or blown away, had their circuits fried, and all fell down in a deactivated heap.

Tessa knew it wouldn't affect anyone organic, but everyone shielded themselves when they were caught in it.

Tessa found herself fine, but a loud screech was heard in her helmet, she was about to take it off, but it soon stopped. She tapped it a couple of times, and tried to use the comms, but the EMP deactivated it.

Tessa tapped her helmet at the others, and they did the same thing. It was the universal sign that their comms weren't working. But they could still talk through their helmets.

"That was intense." Cutup simply said.

Tessa was about to comment, but a loud rumbling was heard, and the ground started to shake. They then saw the origin of the blast shoot up dirt and rocks, and it looked like the ground was starting to give. Cracks were started to form around everyone.

"Run for it!" Rex yelled.

Everyone soon started to bolt in the other direction, all the while the ground was starting to sink. In Tessa's peripheral vision, she saw the tanks starting to fall into the growing hole, and knew the drivers and gunners were still stuck inside.

That gave her the incentive to run faster, and she almost tripped on overturned ground. Once she heard the shaking, and the sound of collapsing ground, she stopped, and pretty much fell to the ground.

She panted, and looked behind her. A huge hole was left from the entire ordeal. She could make out equipment and other things from what she could see through all the dust.

Everyone around her was silent, and was processing what had happened.

"That wasn't like the simulations." Tessa said with a shaky laugh, as she broke the silence.

Once communications were brought back, everyone was given two tasks, either do clean up and check if any droids were operational, or be a part of the rescue party see if anyone survived after falling into the sinkhole.

"I enjoy bashing clankers, but this is boring." Attie said.

The squad was picked to help with cleanup. So far, none of the droids were operational enough for them to fight back. The droids they found merely twitched, or were slightly moving. The latter caused sporadic sounds of blasters going off once in a while.

"I don't, I think it makes things easier for cleanup. For all we know, some droids could be operational, and could cause some unforeseen issues." Echo said.

Everyone, minus Zeer, glanced at Echo. Everyone, mainly his batch mates, knew that was something that Echo would typically say.

"Huh, who would've thought Echo would be the one to find this job interesting?" Cutup sarcastically said.

"Yeah, who would've thought?" Fives with equal sarcasm.

"Could've fooled me." Tessa casually said, as she used the butt of her rifle to check a droid.

Echo rolled his eyes, even though he could find some amusement and said, "Y'know, I still haven't gotten you back for that little comment during the battle, little sister."

Tessa looked up at him and said," Try anything, and you'll meet my Vibroblade."

"Knock it off everyone. That's an order." Zeer said, but he was slightly amused.

"Yes sir." Everyone lazily said.

A second later, a large noise was heard, and everyone stopped for a second.

"Did you guys hear that?" Tessa asked.

"Yeah… sounded like large growl or something. Unless it was Attie's stomach." Nax said.

The Heavy Specialist shook his head and said, "Wasn't me."

Everyone then started to look around the area. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. Other squads in the area didn't seem to hear anything, due to them still looking through the droid.

Zeer turned on his comm unit, and said," Captain Rex, this is Sergeant Zeer. The squad heard some kind of noise, somewhere nearby. We don't know if it's either nearby droids, or the local wildlife. Over."

"Copy Sergeant. Stay on your guard, we'll look into it. And I'll alert you about any follow up. Rex out." Was the response.

Zeer looked at everyone, and said," Be on the lookout. I don't want anything sneaking up on us."

A few minutes after Rex received the transmission from Beta, he then received another update. He frowned under his helmet after what he heard. He thought back to what Beta said, and it was agreed upon that it was probably the local wildlife that was in the area. Him and Ponds had ordered everyone to be vigilant, but it sounded like things were starting to look bad.

He then looked at General Windu, and Skywalker, and said," Sir, we have a report from the front. They've lost contact with the rescue team."

Mace sighed, and said," One problem always seems to replace another."

Anakin had a thoughtful look, and said," You don't think it may relate to what Sergeant Zeer's squad heard, right?"

Mace thought about it for a moment, and said, "Perhaps, but we should see for ourselves, before we jump to conclusions."

Rex had enough experience that something was wrong right now. But he held his tongue, he couldn't say anything yet without more information. But he had a bad feeling nonetheless.

It was only half an hour later that things then got more interesting. There was a creature in the area, but it was a giant one that was in the sinkhole. From what they heard, the Dugs, called it the Zillo Beast. Everyone was ordered to stay at a considerable distance, but the loud screeches of the thing kept everyone on high alert.

"So… while I'm on space duty, you guys get to deal with a giant monster? I can safely say that I got the safer job." Ahsoka smugly said.

The squad was given a short break, it was already nighttime, but everyone had to be on guard, because General Skywalker and Windu were coming up with a plan to deal with the Zillo Beast. So they decided to spend it by talking with Commander Tano, who was up in space dealing with the Separatist Navy.

"Thanks, Soka, you make us feel so safe with that remark." Tessa grumbled.

Ahsoka shrugged, and said," I'm just trying to lighten the mood. But seriously, I want you all to stay safe. I don't want to go looking for a new squad, anytime soon."

All of them chuckled at the joke, but Tessa's inner most thoughts were different. She thought with morbid humor that some giant animal could possibly kill her, even though she had been through other situations, which would've easily done the deed.

But she wasn't planning on hoping that to happen anytime soon.

And if you wanted her personal opinion on they should do with the Zillo Beast, then she was indifferent with it. It seemed like a problem that should be handled by the locals. They were there only for the fuel, and stopping the Separatists, but the Generals wanted to keep the thing alive. She could understand, but also couldn't, so she chalked it up as a Jedi thing. She was just a clone soldier fighting in a war, which she was made for, not to wonder whether some creature should live or die. Cause unless it came to something like that, then it would have to be with a life or death situation.

The others in the squad were sorta in the same boat, they believed that it was something that should be handled by the locals, but they had orders that suggested otherwise. Echo and Del seemed to be the ones who thought the thing should live, like the Jedi thought as well. While the others were on the fence, with Nax making the joke that they should have that let loose against the droids.

But later, everyone who wasn't essential with taking care of the Zillo Beast (Tessa felt sorta stung by that, but didn't know why), were guarding the perimeter, and were the line of defense of things went south. Captain Rex had also told them to look out for the Dugs, because it was suggested that the Dugs would try something, but Tessa felt they should be more worried about the animal in the sinkhole.

Or well, out of the sinkhole, after the Dugs poured fuel into the hole, and it came out, and started to attack, and destroy the area.

"Karabast, that thing is massive." Fives breathed.

Him, Tessa, and Del were on a platform, watching the tanks taking care of the Zillo Beast. Or, how it was throwing the tanks around as if they were pebbles, while everyone else was watching stressfully. Tessa had a feeling if things went further south, not even their blasters would take care of it.

"I think, calling in an airstrike would take care of it." Del suggested.

"I heard that General Skywalker's Lightsaber wasn't able to penetrate the skin." Tessa said.

"Orbital Bombardment then."

Fives snorted and said," Do you want to call it in, or should Attie?"

Del chuckled and said," If that was the case, then I'm pretty sure it would be the happiest day of his life."

"Nah, he would be too excited to say the right coordinates. I would be a much better candidate for that." Tessa said.

From their vantage point, they saw the Zillo Beast start to tire, until it slammed into the ground, going into unconsciousness.

"All troops start recovery and cleanup. Be on standby if the giant lizard wakes up." Captain Rex ordered.

As everyone started to approach, and help clear the area. Only a few were allowed to come within touch distance of the now unconsciousness Zillo Beast, who the Dug were tricked into thinking was dead. But Tessa was certain she was one of the many people who wouldn't approach that thing, even if they were ordered too. There was no telling if or when that thing would wake up.i

So she didn't want to end up Lizard food. Thank you very much.

But, that didn't stop her thoughts about it though.

"So, where do you think they'll take it?" Tessa asked.

Fives shrugged and said," I'm pretty sure that's below our status to know. But, it would be interesting to hear if it goes to Kamino."

Echo heard him from his area, and said," I can think of a couple of ways on how that would turn out. And it mainly involves it rampaging."

What started next, was a typical debate, and banter amongst the squad. As they were talking, Tessa's thought did stray back to the Zillo Beast, but decided to drop the thoughts. Like Fives said, it wasn't their problem, and they would go about their business, until it did.

So for now, they had clean up, and to finish the rest of the campaign in this part of the galaxy.

If only she knew what kind of events that would be happening very soon.
