Sorry for the long wait, life got in the way. Man, I haven't been able to update two stories in a while. Feels good.

But here we are folks, the end of the Geonosis Arc, and then we head into Grevious Intrigues episode, and then The Deserter. I will admit Legacy of Terror and Brain Invaders freaked me out a little when I was kid.

Also, I want to thank you all for giving me 200 favs and follows... well 199 favs, so please send me another to make it 200. I can't appreciate this enough.

Also, I know about the Bad Batch and Omega, I've only seen clips of the episodes, and I like what I see so far. Also with Omega being a female Jango Clone, gives this story some more credibility. So I guess if you want to picture Huntress, then picture her as an adult Omega. Even though I sorta made Huntress's face portray as Zoe Kravitz. You all can choose on your own.

I hope you all enjoy.

Brain Invaders

The Second Battle of Geonosis only lasted for another week, due to the main Droid Factory being destroyed, and that caused resistance to be cut down, and destroying the less bigger factories a little more easier, but it was still hard. Once the factories were destroyed, this left cleanup, and then the planet would be under Republic control.

One other thing that had needed to be done was finding and arresting Poggle, which was done a week after destroying the Droid Factory, and also led to finding and taking out the Geonosian Queen. Which also led to a terrifying encounter with undead Geonosian's being controlled by some type of mind control worms, after General Unduli went missing, but was recovered without harm.

The rest of Beta Squad weren't there for that adventure; it was only after General Skywalker returned with the survivors that he told them about it. From there understanding, it sounded like one of those Horror-Holo's with the undead, something that Tessa, Coric and Zeer liked, especially the Slasher kinds for Tessa, which was something that baffled the rest of the Squad, including Commander Tano, but left them to their own devices regarding that.

It didn't help that Tessa was using some of those as tips for her Vibro-Blade work.

And regarding the Squad, there seemed to be an air of sorrow after Cutup was killed, but the thought of knowing he died peacefully, and that they'll remember him fondly helped them get back into good spirits. They didn't want to bury him on the planet he got killed, but one time, he had jokingly said if he were to die, he wouldn't mind be given a send off like how the Jedi did it. Apparently, Jedi Master Ropal's funeral left a mark on him, and got him thinking about it.

That was what they had done, it was after the first day of the battle, and when things had died down enough for them to do it. They had gotten some material to make the Pyre, and once it was set, and Cutup's body was placed there, they set it on fire, and saluted their fallen brother as his remains were cremated. General Skywalker, Commander Tano, Captain Rex, and the few members of Torrent who didn't have a job at the moment, attended and paid their respects.

Huntress knew her batch mate and brother deserved it, a hero's funeral, because she wouldn't have been standing if it wasn't for Cutup. She had promised him that she would continue to fight on, and live her life once the war was over, and was fully intended to do that.

Right now, the Squad was given the task of escorting Poggle back to Coruscant, while Commander's Tano and Offee went to a Medical Station to get supplies for General Windu on Dantooine.

They would've gone with the Commander's for the task, but General Skywalker said that escorting Poggle was more serious.

So the squad that was left to escort the Commanders was some of the members of Tango Company. Beta Squad were a little hesitant, they guessed that it had to with the fact how close they were to Commander Tano, they considered her one of them, like their sister, and they ended up being protective of her.

They watched as both Commanders walked up the ramp, with some of the members of Tango, with Lieutenant Trap leading them.

"Oi, Trap! Take care of the Commanders! Normally we would be by their side, but apparently guarding the head bug is more important."

Trap nodded, and said," Don't worry Sergeant, we got this."

"Yeah, maybe we'll become Commander Tano's new personal squad." Pulsar said.

Nax laughed sarcastically, and said," Over our dead bodies!"

Attie cracked his knuckles, and said," Let us know if these punks give you trouble, Commander Tano, Offee. We'll make short work of them."

Ahsoka rolled her eyes in amusement, and said," Play nice you guys. You'll see us soon."

As she and Barris walked into the Frigate, Barris chose that time to speak.

"You are rather close to them, aren't you?"

Ahsoka shrugged, and said," Yeah, I am. It helps out with how we all work as a team. You should consider asking Master Unduli or Commander Gree if you could have a couple of men in the 41st to become your own Squad."

Barris hummed in thought, and said," That doesn't sound like a bad idea."

Beta Squad watched the Medical Frigate take off, and they soon began walking to the shuttle that held Poggle.

"I'm not the only one who's worried, right?" Tessa asked.

"No, I feel the same." Echo said, and the rest of the Squad voiced their agreement, with the exception of Zeer.

"I'm pretty sure it's the fact this is one of the few times we aren't with Commander Tano. Remember, there will be times where we won't be by her side. This is one of them. And also, we all worked together without her with us. We can't be dependent on her. Am I clear?" Zeer said.

"Sir, yes sir." They all said.

Tessa let out a small sigh, and looked at the direction of where the Frigate flew off too.

'The Sergeant's right, what's the worst that could happen?' She thought.

Apparently, a lot of things could happen.

"Give us one good reason why we shouldn't walk in there, rip the bugs wings off, and make him tell us how to get rid of those things." Attie said, as he was talking to Zeer.

Tessa and the rest of the Squad were outside the detention center of the Resolute, and they were just updated on what was going on with the Commanders and the Medical Frigate, and were now also outside the door of the Detention Center of the Resolute.

The update wasn't good, the parasites that the Generals discovered while rescuing General Unduli on Geonosis had gotten onto the Frigate, and infected all the clones, with the exception of Ahsoka and Barris.

There hadn't been any updates from the Frigate, or from General Fisto and the Medical Station. This only caused more worry, and the Squad were a little more worried after General Skywalker came in, told them leave the room, and went to talk with Poggle.

"I can't believe I didn't say anything. I had a feeling but I didn't say anything. Karabast." Tessa muttered.

Fives and Echo patted their sister on the shoulders, they knew she was taking this hard, and Echo had told her earlier that she couldn't have known something like this would happen.

"I understand you all are worried, for Force-sakes, I am too. But there is nothing that we can do. And you all should realize that General Skywalker is probably doing something to get the bug to speak right now. We know he'll get the job done, and put a stop to this mess." Zeer calmly said.

Everyone had to give the Sergeant credit, even though they were all badgering him about doing something, he took it all in stride, and still calmly placated them the best he could. Even though they all had the feeling he would also give them some type of punishment for doing so, but they hoped he wouldn't.

They were all taken out of their thoughts when the doors opened, and General Skywalker walked out of the room.

"Sir, did you-"

"Get back to guard post Zeer. Poggle told me how to put a stop to this. Also, he may need medical attention, he accidently fell." Anakin simply said, and rushed back to the bridge.

Everyone gave each other looks, and decided not to say anything. Zeer motioned for Coric to check on Poggle.

If he or the others noticed bruising or tenderness around his neck, or paid any attention to what the Translator Droid said, no one batted an eye or just ignored it.

Later on, the Squad were now at the Medical Station, the Resolute had docked not too long ago. No one was allowed to see the Commanders or the Clones, in the risk of getting any type of infection. But that didn't last long, so the Squad ended up visiting the Commanders, after they went to check on Tango Company.

They were all fine, with the exception of Lieutenant Trap, who was killed. The others were a little shaken up, but would live. After that, they went to check up on Ahsoka and Barris. And they made it just in time too, due to Ahsoka already being awake, and was talking to General Skywalker, while General Offee was still asleep.

Tessa and the rest had a feeling that there should be a limited amount of people visiting, but they didn't care, they wanted to see if Ahsoka was okay.

Coric in particular was a stickler for rules regarding patients, but in this instance, he decided to make an exception.

Ahsoka grinned at them when she saw them, and said," Hey guys."

Tessa sat next to her, and had a relieved smile, and said," Hey to you too sir. How are you feeling?"

"Tired and relieved. So, are you guys still going to kick Tango's butts? Even though it wasn't their fault, or in their control?"

Attie and Nax smirked at her, with Nax saying," The jury is still out on that, sir. But say the word, and we'll do it."

"But I'm your Sergeant, and I get to say how much pain." Zeer quipped, which made everyone chuckle.

Anakin bit back a snort, he had heard the bantering from both Squads, as Tango got on the ship back at Geonosis. It was nice to see the Squad back to normal, the death of Cutup was still raw to them, but he was surprised how fast they seemed to bounce back. That had made sense, Cutup wouldn't want them to mope, and feel sad.

And thinking back to how the Squad had reacted to what was happening earlier, Anakin could tell they would protect Ahsoka with their lives.

He was thankful for that, and wondered what the future would hold for them now.
