Later on, the Weasleys are decorating the tree along with Tonks and Remus. There is a large fire in the fireplace and steaming mugs of cocoa around the room.
"What did you say you put on the tree?" Remus asks.
"Glass baubles, popcorn, and candles," Tonks replies. "The candles are bewitched to avoid burning the house down. A terrible fire risk, you know. Many a muggle met their fate that way before electric bulbs were invented."
"I suppose it would be!"
Molly says, "Boys, can you go search for the baubles? I'm sure there's some around here but I cannot remember which closet they're in."
"Sure, Mum," Fred and George echo.
"Thanks. And Remus, would you pop the popcorn over the fire?" As expected, Remus' eyes widen as he thinks of the expensive sweater he's wearing. "Oh never mind your sweater. For one, you'll be fine if you be careful, which you always are, and for two, I'll fix it up if anything happens. Good as new." Tonks eyes sparkle with a grin as Molly scolds Remus preemptively. "Now, I believe I asked you to pop the popcorn!"
"I'll get right on it, of course," Remus replies sheepishly.
"Good. Here are the pan and kernels." Molly says, handing Remus the materials. "Just do your best." After some crashes and bangs from upstairs, the twins come racing down the staircase with four boxes of Shiny-Brite ornaments.
"Here you are, Mum," Fred and George echo again, handing the boxes to Molly.
Tonks says, "You two are on the same wavelength tonight! I suppose that's every night, though." The twins smile.
"Thanks, darlings. Let's pop them open, shall we?" The boys begin opening the boxes. With each new shade to appear, Tonks' hair changes to match. "You do love color don't you, Tonks dear. It's simply in your blood." Tonks blushes. "I bet in another life you were an artist!"
"I don't know about that, Molly, but color does delight me to no end. These are simply stunning. Not like those plain bulbs in reds and greens some people put on their trees." They all take turns placing the ornaments on the tree while Remus tries to avoid burning the popcorn.
