Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Southern Hospitality. Enjoy the 7600-word chapter. I don't own Red vs Blue; Rooster Teeth and a few others do.

Every single Freelancer would need to be quiet, only need to end sometime soon, always and upper wards, for now, focusing more and more problems need end. It'd always need to end… Yes, if anything else? South and her group were to end and end properly… It needed to be addressed and yet? All of them were here, sitting on a Pelican waiting until they reached the military base where they'd need to end.

Then again? He was a freelancer before anything South looked at him before crossing her arms before she looked up into the sky. South was all too into killing plenty of soldiers and it was something that needed to get off the ground.

Still? They had to reach the ground for now as she felt the craft shake, ratted by gunfire as she questioned what would be happening next…. They needed to be ready and yet? None of them felt at all prepared for now and perhaps it was all more than it appeared to need to be.

South mentally prepared herself for what may or may not come next as she sighed before a jolt went through the craft.

"We're going to need to get going now…." Tenn said before standing up as did the rest of his self-assigned group. "We're meeting up with you after we cause enough damage to destroy the rest of the defenses," Tenn said before hitting the door controls to exit the craft.

All of them glanced down at the water, interested in what may or may not need to come to pass… Perhaps it needed to end and end rightly… If anything? Well, it needed to be remised that their enemy was prepared and they… Was it all to end? This would mean something, a lot more than what was done.

The group dropped downwards, each carrying a single-use thruster that would arrest their fall JUST enough to not break their legs upon hitting the ground. It was clear that simply being around the base caused problems and they were just going to cause more and more problems, for now, it needed to be ended, properly… Without it crashing down and down to the ground, only managing to make it end sometime soon before it all crashed downwards.

The ground, silent and as cloaked as possible each impacted the ground with such a thing for now. Only more and more power for now. Did South seem only prepared more and more for killing and yet? it'd not end before now, all interest as of now, only questioning more and more as of now, it seemed to end sometime soon.

"Are you going to be, ok?" Tenn asked as South nodded, checking gear and making sure it all ended sometime soon.

It'd be more and more terrifying if not simply for the idea problems would raise, nobody would notice their arrival, and nobody would dare even speak of it as they slowly moved inwards a destination.

Yes, it seemed as if more and more problems would need to arise and die downwards, more problems would come and go, it always seemed more and more proper, more fascinating for now, only more and more amused and anchored in place.

"South? Take point, Tenn? Cover the flank." They heard before looking around the room.

"I'd be surprised if North isn't dead yet… He's not big at being a frontline guy…" South stated before Tenn hummed.

"Neither is my family… But? We're the ones making noise while they're busy and it's going to be easier and easier for them… Probably isn't going to get us a thank you from them but then again? What will?" Tenn joked, raising his weapon, eager only to try and end it properly.

It needed to end… It'd always need to end sometime soon. All problems would be done and all threats squashed by them. Yet? Well? Both South and Tenn formed up as Wash behind them looked at the door.

It was clear more and more both Tenn and South wanted a fight, wanted to wet their fangs upon an enemy such as this. It's not all end anytime soon… Yet? All problems could not be solved by bullets alone.

Still? Both South and Tenn raised their weapons as the steel door slid upon and each Freelancer was allowed inside, only pausing to check corners, glancing around at each other, openly finding it ready to end, ready to be ended.

South was the first one in as always, eager for violence and death to follow, it'd not at all need to be done so but South did not care nor did it seem she'd ever care. All South and Tenn wanted was a chance to fight, to prove their mettle against the rebels and defeat them, both soldiers turned, curious and unsure as they looked down at the moment, curious only upon how well it'd en.

"We need to get going sometime soon. I don't at all know what to do next." Wash and Tenn heard before looking up and into the sky.

"Great…" Tenn stated before frowning to himself and looking upwards and into the sky before. "Are you going to be good, guys?" Tenn stated before frowning to himself and looking upwards into the sky.

"Are you ok?" Tenn questioned before raising an eyebrow. "I don't see any rebels now; I don't see any but I doubt that means anything now. We need to get going." Tenn stated before frowning to himself and looking upwards into the sky.

"I don't even know what's going to happen sometime soon," Tenn stated before frowning to himself and smirking to himself before now, only curious for a few seconds.

Yet? it seemed to be a lot more of an ideal for now… All of it came down to how well they could operate for now.

"How many rebels do you think we're going to run into?" South asked before she looked at Tenn.

"Probably 50. We need more of them to come after us or the mission isn't going to work… Take down every single one we find." Tenn said before looking at Wash. "Part of me wonders if you're going to be ok going on a non-stealth mission." Tenn stated before Wash shrugged.

"I'm good at fighting… You know that, right?" Tenn heard as South looked around before rolling her eyes.

"We need to get going or else this is going to suck either way…" South said before she opened the door. "Damn it, today already sucks… Tenn just shoots them if you see them. We're going to try and kill them for now… I don't even know what to do at the end." South said before sighing.

The awkward talk was interrupted by a squad of soldiers marching by, making them raise their weapons to confront them, eager to get some good old-fashioned payback on the enemy.

South unleashed a barrage of bullets into the first soldiers as they turned to look at them, eager to try and kill them as Tenn raised his shotgun. Another of the rebels had a giant hole inside their chest.

It was a very short second of silence as they looked around the room and found it to be more silent. It'd be odd for now as the two soldiers fell to the ground. Wash managed to put a knife in the chest of the third soldier.

The last three soldiers all opened fire, sending the trio rolling for cover as they all shared looks. Alarms began to blare as the trio of freelancer soldiers all looked around.

"Well, think we got their damn attention." South snarked as Tenn chuckled, amused more and more.

"Maybe, it's nice to be popular to be fair," Tenn stated before he looked around and pumped the rack of his shotgun, ejecting a shell from it. "Anyone got a grenade? There's going to be more of them and the last thing we want is them tossing a rocket our way and killing us all." Tenn said as he sighed and looked at the craft.

It was clear if a single rocket was fired toward them. Well, people would die and it wouldn't be rebels, all it'd take was one rocket to turn all life upon the landing pad into corpses. Tenn was very terrified and utterly so if they managed to fire which would and could kill so many of them.

South didn't seem to care as she raised her rifle to try and shoot one of the remaining soldiers only for the doors to open and a dozen more rebels to march in. South could only curse in anger as she realized just how annoyed and screwed, they'd be at the end of the day. They had to get out of there for now and find a better angle of attack.

"Ok… So, we are never telling them that this happened as soon as we got here, right?" Wash asked before Tenn pulled a grenade off his belt and tossed it.

The resulting screech and crash of screams and voices reminded them just what was going on as the grenade exploded, blanketing the entire room in silence a few seconds later.

"Yes, we will… Now let's go. We need to take down as many as possible before they regroup." Tenn said before raising his shotgun.

The group slowly proceeded inside, opening the doors and gently stepping over the bodies of fallen soldiers. It was clear they all died painfully but the group had neither the time nor effort to care at the end of the day. They were at war and as horrid as death was? These people were still horrible and had their fates coming at the moment.

"Where's the biggest place we can do damage? We get there, we blow most of it up and we continue blowing everything we can?" South asked before the others nodded.

"Yeah, find a landing pad or something and blow that up, maybe it will send half the base into lockdown. Either that? Or we find a command station and blow everything in there up." Tenn stated before South nodded.

"Wash? Can you get your fancy AI to try and boot up? We need a path there without as many of these guys as possible. We can stick to gunfights when their attention is already on us." South asked before more gunfire forced them into cover.

"No, not yet… Damn it." Wash said before raising his rifle and opening fire as bullets began to fly. "I'm going to go out on a limb and say we might have ticked them off a bit too much," Wash said before shaking his head as he fell silent.

There was a bit of confusion as Tenn and South shrugged. Tenn drew his sidearm, leaving his shotgun leaned against the wall before starting to fire as he knew range would be better than spread against soldiers at a distance.

"Great job on finding us an exit, wash," South said before putting a burst through the chest of one rebel and causing them to collapse.

"Maybe, but it's a start. We just keep slogging through them and their keep off the others." Wash said before downing another as a bullet zinged off his armor. "OW! DAMN IT THAT SMARTS!" Wash yelled before Tenn rolled his eyes.

"Maybe we can get out of here…. BEFORE they shoot us to death." Tenn stated before sighing. "Maybe it's just me, but I'd like not to get shot to death if that's possible… Hopefully, we can do that, maybe?" South heard before she sighed.

This wasn't going to be as well as it could have been and it was clear more and more that whatever needed to be handled would be handled and properly. She had good teammates and it was clear more and more they were going to make headway regardless of what was going on and whatever obstacles lay in their path.

All it did was bother them more and more as he considered it to be a very odd little idea due to how many risks were involved and just what failure would bring if they did so.

They turned the corner only for a pair of turrets and a fresh squad of soldiers to fire on them forcing them back. The group dove for cover.

"Are we seriously getting stopped by a group of these guys?" South heard from Tenn as he sighed. "Damn it, we don't have time for this crap!" Tenn hissed as he raised his shotgun only for a barrage of bullets to force him down.

"Guys? How's it going on your end? We're making good progress so far, few grunts Carolina is kicking the crap out of." South and Tenn heard as they looked at North and Wash.

"Busy getting f****** shot at." South hissed before she turned and continued to open fire with her battle rifle. "Pinned down by a group of them…. Tenn, I need a damn grenade!" South stated as Tenn fished one from his belt.

"HERE!" Tenn yelled before he turned and tossed the object which spiraled towards her.

She watched a bullet nick his armor and he growled in pain as she grunted and tossed it, turning and lobbing it before a pair of bullets slammed right into her and sent her to the ground.

"MOTHER…!" South hissed before static roared over her radio.

There was a loud screech as the explosive went off, silencing the soldiers who were blown backward, a trio was simply grazed due to armor but at least the soldiers were all down and she was utterly able to relax, all too unsure of themselves and yet suddenly very amused, unsure of what was coming and what was going to happen next. It needed to end and end before more and more people died. Whatever they did next wouldn't allow them to rest easy, it'd at best be something else, something they could contain…

Control even if they were lucky. It was just a matter of how well they could fight and if they were more or less capable of not dying. Yes, it was very good and very hard for them to contain and control.

Still? If anything? There was a lot more about this that he needed to handle and yet he couldn't be controlled at all sadly.

"I know, feels pretty damn bad as well, fight through the pain!" Tenn said as he rose to his feet and growled before slowly starting to think.

"Damn it, we got hit!" South said before she ground her teeth and slowly started to think. "We're going to burn down part of the base, we still got the charges, Wash?" South asked before more gunfire came over the edge.

"Great… More people with guns trying to kill us and the turrets are still on…" Tenn muttered before he fell silent, utterly unsure of what to say and do next.

This seemed to be more and more horrid at the end of the day, he didn't at all want to try and focus on it, this was a lot more to try and understand as he questioned what to do next. It was a terrible little monstrous problem and one they needed to deal with and deal with now.

South and Tenn rose and fired only for a dozen or so bullets to rake across the cover where they were, bullets slamming into the cover they used as if it was paper.

Tenn and South shared a look as they realized they were very outmatched here, very thrown into the wall.

"Guys? I think I have an idea, but it will drain a lot of power." Wash said as the two looked at him, unsure what to say or do at the moment and eager to end this.

"Do it." South hissed before a bullet slammed through the cover next to her. "Damn it! I swear to God I'm going to rip your heads off when I get over, you f****** ass!" South roared as she turned and put a bullet into the head of the first rebel she saw before more gunfire put her back in cover.

"Seriously. Please do the damn thing, we're busy almost getting shot, at and the last thing we need is to get a bullet into the head, Wash!" Tenn stated before he sighed. "South? I only got a pair of grenades left and I'm running out of ammo. What's the game plan here?" Tenn stated before he slowly started to think for a second.

"Kill them, all we can do is kill them…" South ordered as she looked at Wash. "Do whatever the hell you are going to do, it isn't at all hard to pick when the other option is getting shot in the damn head," South stated while she was busy trying to avoid being shot.

She knew more and more that if they weren't able to go forward? A lot of them would die and she'd be damned if she was going to die. She looked at Tenn who was busy racking his shotgun, sighing as he put the last few slugs into the weapon. He'd discard it soon and steal a weapon from their enemy. A classic tactic, one meant to try and make it easier to try and fight.

They were on enemy turf but it was not at all something he found to be at odds for now. he needed to relax and he might just end up regretting it. He was too unsure of himself, too eager to try and get into a scrap with them, far too removed from it all to try and simmer down. The fight was consuming them over and over again and they both were something they could both deal with at the time.

They needed to move fast before they were killed or worse and was all too amused at the end of the day before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, utterly unsure of what to try and handle next. It was a lot more to try and understand.

Wash slammed his hand down on the ground, unleashing a group of sparks that cut through the ground before he slowly started to look upwards before they cut across the ground and unsure before now as the sparks blew out all over the place.

He was a lot more amused more and more to try and handle. He watched as the lights burned off and the turrets shut down, their systems fried. He was utterly baffled more and more as the soldiers went to say something only for a shotgun round to blow off one's head and a group of bullets to slam through the head of the other.

Both South and Tenn gunned down the rest of the rebels in the span of a few seconds, dropping their bodies in a hail of gunfire before he sighed at the end of the day.

"How many people are left? We've at least taken down 20 rebels by now. there's a lot more of them here and I've already run out of ammo." Tenn said, discarding his shotgun and looking upwards.

He tossed it onto the ground before grabbing his assault rifle and felt more and more interested before he grabbed more ammo from another rebel. He then grabbed an SMG and then strapped it to the leg.

"Are you ok?" South asked as she looked at the others.

"Depends? How many bad guys have we left to deal with? Nice EMP by the way." Tenn stated as he slowly started to find more tired at the end of the day.

"We got a lot more rebels to deal with. This isn't going to be a problem; we still got to try and kill them." South said as she slowly started to try and understand what to do next.

Tenn looked at South as the two Freelancers slowly started to try and understand each other before he seemed to hum, utterly tired more and more.

"Where do we go next? There have to be more rebels ahead…" Tenn said before slowly deciding to fall silent.

"We should probably see if the command center ahead is still up. Then we can shut down the rest of the defenses and cut through all of it." Wash said before he clicked his tongue and looked at one another.

She was all too amused before now, it seemed to be harder and harder to try at the end of the day. both South and Wash nodded once more before he fell silent, utterly so as he seemed to be curious, interested in what to try and handle next.

There was a lot more to deal with at the end of the day. He was utterly tired as of now, utterly unsure of it all. He didn't at all need to focus more and more if he was dead and he'd probably be dead at this rate considering what was hunting him and what was coming.

He looked at South who was similarly tired, resting a hand on her side as she looked at him. He noticed a weapon in the wreckage and grabbed it.

"Need a better gun?" Tenn asked, offering the girl a rocket launcher one of the rebels was holding and prepared to use.

"Sure," South said as Tenn tossed it to her and then offered a DMR to Wash who politely and awkwardly took the gun.

"We need to move, they're going to send more and the last thing we need is being caught off guard," South said before the others nodded.

"Lead the way…. Wash, you wouldn't be able to do the thing again, right?" Tenn asked, gesturing to the turrets.

"Sorry, no… Only once or twice, drains a lot of power, Epsilon is trying to get it back so my armor doesn't burn out." Wash said as South felt her sigh.

"Screw it, I'll just blow the wall down then if we find more turrets," South said as Tenn looked at her.

"We might need a better idea. Wish we could just blow-up part of the base with the pelican. Hey, can Epsilon help?" Tenn asked before he slowly started to sigh.

"The damn AI won't do anything. They never do anything to make this easier or else we'd not be here." South muttered, tired and turning to run as the group rushed down the corridor.

"Just checking our options, South." Tenn deadpanned as he sighed. "We can't just shoot everyone we see; we're going to run out of ammo sooner or later…" Tenn stated as South nodded.

She knew he had a point as did she. If they kept fighting? They'd eventually be outgunned or outmatched, simple logic for them. South knew they were better fighters than any rebel in the base.

The problem was they were still only one group with a small number of guns versus an entire stocked military outpost with built-in security. Sinking the entire base and digging through the wreckage somehow seemed a better option than dealing with massive armies of rebels.

"We aren't going to be able to break through them alone, you know." South heard from Wash as she waved her hand back and forth.

"Then we just kill everyone in the way and take the stuff that way," South said before she looked at Wash.

"We're dealing with them," Tenn said before slowly slamming his rifle into his hands.

He knew more and more unsure of what to deal with before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth and he seemed to be utterly more and more unsure of what to do next. This became harder and harder to deal with at the end of the day, utterly eager to try and fight against the rebels in this sort of way.

Still? Too many problems seemed to be nestled in the way before it came down to it, they would be prepared for now what to try and handle next.

South and Tenn glance down the door and looked around before he sighed and looked down at the ground. They proceeded down the corridor and rounded the corner, sweeping their weapons around the room, unsure of it.

South and Tenn both shared a glance as more boots signaled the arrival of far more soldiers than before. They were outnumbered by a far larger number of insurrectionist soldiers than before as dozens of them emerged, all armed to the teeth.

It bothered Tenn that it took them so long to get so many soldiers onto the field and he knew that they couldn't fight that many at the end of the day.

All it did was make him further and further annoyed as he and she aimed their guns down the hallway, being confronted by at least 30 or 40 rebel soldiers.

"Great, just like the damn oil base," South muttered before she glanced to the side. "Retreat! Down the damn hallway!" South roared as the soldiers started to open fire.

The group ducked around the corner as gunfire passed by the group. Bullets flew all around them as Tenn sighed and began to fire, emptying his entire magazine in their direction as did South.

Wash simply watched as the two dropped empty magazines, the metal clacking next to groups of spent bullet casings as they slammed new magazines into place. He looked down at the ground and noticed cracks in it, fresh scaffolding, and new concrete surrounding them. The corridor was new, unfinished, something that they couldn't tell.

"Wash, little help?" Tenn asked before a bullet clanged next to him. "Damn it, they owe us for this…" Tenn stated before he sighed.

"We're going to need more people," Wash said as South glared at him.

He knew the look all too well. She didn't want anyone else; it'd feel like someone was pitying her like she was being written off as too weak and helpless to try and say much.

She didn't want to deal with it and both of them shot down at least 4 rebels before an explosion sent them to the ground, armor scratched as more soldiers moved in to try and finish them off. The ground cracked and new plaster and paint fell below.

Instead? Tenn unfurled the last two grenades from his belt and tossed them down at the ground, feeling the explosion throw them through the ground as the fresh concrete vanished under the detonation and they collapsed into the depths of the next level.

There were screams as the ground collapsed, the Freelancers at least having the advantage of their armor which didn't stop both South and Tenn from slamming into the ground, and landing on their limbs.

There was a sickening crunch as Tenn's right arm and left leg bent like a piece of spaghetti and South's right arm and leg cracked. They roared in pain as their limbs were moved in ways not meant to be moved. Wash was the one who looked at them as they fell silent. Their limbs were cut in pieces and it was clear they were in pain. Both freelancers looked dinged up but they could still move.

"South, your vitals just dropped by half, what the hell is going on? we need to get on with the mission, are we clear?" South heard as she sighed and looked down at the ground.

"We're wounded, limbs are all banged up… I'll deal with it, we're almost done, the team is almost done," South stated before she sighed.

She didn't at all know what to do, what to say and understand at the moment. She had a lot more to try and understand before now. This was a lot more to try and understand over and over.

She glanced at Tenn who was utterly silent, too curious to try and figure out at the end of the day when it came down to it. She knew utterly tired over and over and again at the end of the day, all too eager to try and say… Something, unsure of what was coming and just how well it'd end.

"We should get out of here, there's too much…" Wash said before Tenn turned and held up his good arm, holding his magnum as he did so.

"We're planting the explosives and get out… You guys owe us a good word to the director, we've taken down dozens of damn rebels, and I and she are dealing with fractured to possibly broken arms." Tenn said as he sighed.

He and South shared a look as the two climbed to their feet, Wash knew neither would be in shape for a serious fight so he decided to try and deal with the heavy lifting. He gripped his battle rifle before they sighed.

"Go, we're not in the mood to fight anything besides the rebels and the last thing we need is dealing with people who can't fall in line… I'm breaking one of them like a candy bar for that." South heard before Tenn grunted.

"Kick their asses later… Worry about living now." South said as she turned and looked at her bad leg. "Go, we plant bombs down here. Things should take out half the base and make it easier to escape for the others… They do owe the hell out of us, though. Tenn is right about that." South ordered before she turned and pulled the charges from her hip armor.

"You know more of the others are probably going to come, right? Might end up destroying most of the base if that thing goes off the wrong way." South heard before she waved her hands back and forth.

"Don't worry about it. It's not our problem anymore… Ugh, I'm going to kill North if he cracks jokes about my bad knee or arm. Medics are going to need a week to deal with this crap… And don't even get me started on what to understand next, there's a lot more to deal with anyway." South said before she snorted, utterly exhausted and just plain worn down.

She and Tenn slowly dragged themselves towards the supports with no haste in their step. Tenn growled, grunting as he forced his damaged leg to take steps, and South bit back a primal scream of pure rage, both of the damn bad luck and the fact they had been forced

This was coming to an end sometime soon and they had a lot more to understand at the moment before now as she sighed, leaning on the wall once more.

She had a lot more on her mind as she slowly started to press the buttons, utterly unsure of what to say next, what to figure out at the moment.

Still? They had so damn much on their minds that it bugged them plainly and utterly This was coming to an end sometime soon and they had a lot more to understand at the moment before now as she sighed, leaning on the wall once more.

She had a lot more on her mind as she slowly started to press the buttons, utterly unsure of what to say next, what to figure out at the moment.

She sighed and cracked her fingers before she slowly started to type in commands. Tenn looked at her before he seemed to be utterly worn down at the end of the day as she seemed to be more and more unsure of herself.

"Are you going to be good? My knee feels like silly string." South heard as she nodded before she looked to the side.

"I'll be fine, we have a lot bigger things… Screw it, my leg sucks," South said before she looked upwards at the time. "Yes, my damn leg hurts a lot more than it did before," South said as she looked at the bomb, typing in the last commands before she leaned on the wall.

"We need to go," Tenn said before South went to push off and collapsed onto the ground. "Screw it… Wash? Call the damn transport, we're coming in and South has a bad leg, tell the others the bombs are armed and wired to Carolina's suit, they go off when she wants them to, I'm taking South to the pelican and getting out of here." Tenn stated before he looked around, too exhausted to really focus, to understand now.

She looked around, unsure of what to see next, more and more plans were on her mind, and just something else at the moment. They had so damn much, so much beyond what they were now, and just more and more of a plan from it all.

He wrapped an arm around her waist only for her to glance at her. She wanted to try and say something but she could only fall silent, looking around as she did so and ran forward once more. She was all too worn down to even try and comment on it, whatever doubts or regrets she had on her mind. Well, they paled compared to what she was dealing with it all.

The sheer malice at the moment was something he could not or would not have figured out by the end of the time being, what little he did next would become harder and harder to fathom.

They were better than this, they should have been unstoppable to anyone and anything in the way, the sheer idea they had been stopped was a terror they did not need or want, something far worse and far hard been dwelling in their mind.

"I didn't think they'd bust out all the heavy guns already." South heard before she snorted and sighed.

"Might be because the last base we hit was probably wiped out entirely by what I heard. I and North killed a lot of rebels last time and then someone blew the entire base up, I'm not surprised they all might want to be on high alert." South stated before she hummed.

She didn't at all know what to try and figure out it all. She was all too eager and uncertain about what to deal with next, she wired the bombs with a fit of anger that easily matched it all. They had to keep going or else everyone would and could suffer for now.

"We still did something, you know. I don't know why you think we haven't. Not yet, we've done our job and it isn't like Carolina did any better at the moment, they have something else to worry about anyway else." South heard as she snorted.

"I got pulled down the damn leaderboard because of her damn antics. A guy bringing them coffee shows up and lands on the button I need to avoid. No, of course, it causes problems the entire time. One damn mistake and I get blamed for everything while Carolina gets us our damn glory for doing it. no, everything is SOUTH'S f****** fault. I'm so damn tired by it all." South hissed before she turned and looked around.

"So, you hate yourself for one damn mistake? Pff, one sounds better than the mistakes I made before I got recruited for the damn thing." Tenn said as South raised an eyebrow.

"Why? You screw some important mission?" South asked before Tenn hummed.

"Ended up getting an entire battalion killed and command cares that we won even when the airstrike leveled EVERYTHING, soldiers and the enemy. I've never seen so many damn bodies on the ground and everywhere else. So yeah, I've screwed up, command offered me a damn promotion for people dying and all of it just ticks me off." South heard.

She fell silent, utterly exhausted by it all, something else that could not be done nor completed anytime soon. She looked at him who looked down at the ground, utterly exhausted by it all. She would not be ready otherwise, not at all unsure of what to focus on at the end of the day.

They had a lot more to deal with and he was prepared, for now, something that he could only grow worse and worse for each second, each too much for now. Something that she could scarcely figure out, all of it became harder and harder to handle in his mind.

South had no gripe against him as a person. She didn't at all want to try and say anything, at the moment. She was scared more and more by it all and she knew it. She wanted to relax at the moment as of now.

They had sent her on these missions all the time and it became harder and harder to question if she hated herself at the time. Maybe they wanted her ticked off, it seemed so hard to doubt and understand what was coming and what had been done to try and figure it all out, unsure of it all.

"Maybe command just hates us. They sure love making me all ticked off all the time, maybe the boss is just a prick. It'd explain a lot of why he does all this crap at the moment and I don't understand what to figure out at the end of the day. There's a lot more we don't know about command." South said before she looked down at the ground.

"Maybe, but we don't know how bad command is. I'm just paid to do a job, make some friends, kill bad guys, South. What about you? You come here to do something with your life? Maybe some rebel jackass looked at you wrong? Not my place to pry but I'm well aware of what's what when push comes to shove." Tenn responded as he clicked his knuckles and looked down at the ground.

He was utterly too exhausted at the end of the day. she didn't at all know what to say to him as the two slowly struggled towards the stairs.

"Hey, take care of her, bud. She's a big softy at heart when it comes down to it." Tenn heard as South huffed.

"F*** off, North. I'm too tired at the moment to deal with this crap. I just want someone to unbreak my arms and legs and get me a damn doctor." South muttered before she sighed and groaned and looked down at the ground.

"Maybe we find someone to fix that when we get out of here… Wash? How are we looking on evac? We need to get out of here. My damn leg is going to break more if I have to press it on the ground any longer than usual. I feel like I'm going to break in half now." Tenn muttered, sighing as he did so.

"Busy setting up a signal flare now. I'm going to get to the others, figure out what's going on, and help them." South said as he sighed, utterly tired by it all and not in any real mood to figure out what was going on.

"Fine, go. I'm getting a damn doctor and then I'm going to blow up half the base." South muttered before she huffed, unsure of what to try and figure out.

She didn't want to say and do next, something that was just too much, far beyond what to try and figure as of now, that could and would continue to make it all too much, something that was all too heartbreaking for now, something that could be relaxing as of now.

"Are you going to be, ok?" Tenn asked before he looked down at the ground.

He didn't at all know what to say next and looked down at the ground, uncertain of what to look for next. There was a lot more practice to figure out as of now… All of it trickled down into the ground like raindrops. None of them were going to be able to relax, not at all when it came down to the time being.

Still? Whatever he had done next? Well, it'd be something for the history books, something that wasn't in the normal ones at least but it was still something that would be recorded.

"No, she's going to get all the credit for it. A guy with a damn coffee mug makes me lose my spot because I can't shoot him perfectly? Give me a damn break." South muttered, holding her side as she did so.

"If it makes you feel better? I hear the director wants to give one of us three a damn AI… Like we need one. if you want? I can share it with you, I won't need the guy rattling off code in my brain."

"Are you a damn idiot? Why would you share an AI? Those things…." South started to say as he shrugged.

"Because I don't want them? The director doesn't want us to be a team, he wants to fight… Why? Do you think I'm trying to get a damn edge on you, South? That what you think?" Tenn asked before dragging her up the stairs.

"This ain't an inside war, it's us vs the bad guys and a fight for survival. I don't give a damn about being better than someone, you fought well when we were fighting. I didn't go to your room to mock you, I did it because you fought well and I wanted to tell you that you fought well for someone who's not military." Tenn said before a dead rebel fell in front of them.

Wash looked at them before beckoning them towards the next area, unsure of what to do.

"C'mon, there's about 30 to 50 of them coming, and they're not going to let up anytime soon," Wash said before Tenn snorted and rolled his eyes, looking at him a few seconds later as he did so.

"We're not going anywhere until we get to the landing pad and clean it off. There's a lot more of them than there are of us and there's nothing they can do to kill us anytime soon." Tenn said before he shook his head and he sighed to himself as he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.

He knew more and more about what he was going as he raised his magnum and put a bullet through the next soldier before the sound of aircraft slowly surged and flew over them as he looked down at the ground, so unsure and uncertain of what to do next as he seemed to be able to relax.

"Crap…." He muttered as he sighed, unsure and uncertain of what to say. "Command? We need a ride out of here, we're wounded and completed our goal… I don't know how well the others are doing but we need a ride out." Tenn muttered.

"Someone kills those damn jackasses now!" He heard before there were more sounds of engines. "Launch the hornets! Blow up the entire landing pad if you have to but don't let them… Damn it, someone sends reinforcements to the other side of the base, those ass*****, and deal with the rest of them all!" He heard as he seemed to be able to relax once more as he looked down at the ground.

"Crap…" South muttered, remembering what to try and figure out what to do next. "We need to keep going, command? They've scrambled air support; we're going to be pinned down soon. There's a lot of damn soldiers coming and no time to deal with them the way we need to, requesting evac." South said as she sighed.

"We're going to have to get out of here. There's a landing pad up ahead… But against air support? Well, unless they have a big cannon we can use? We're going to be screwed once more." Tenn said before he looked down at the ground as he looked down.

He didn't at all know what to try and do to their comrades. He didn't at all know what to say as he looked more. He seemed to be able to relax once again as they slowly marched upwards to the stairs, looking around as he thought once more.

The silence bothered him as did the annoyance he felt, he felt South lean against his shoulder, annoyed once more by all their lack of progress at the moment.

He could not blame the woman, not at all. They were still being screwed with by their enemies and it was clear more and more they had to keep fighting as nothing else would allow them to relax at the time being.

"Ok… How do we get out of here without it all falling apart?" Tenn muttered as he sighed, thrown off more and more by everything.

"We keep going up… Carolina? They scrambled Hornets, how are we supposed to get out of here? The landing pad is cut off and Tennessee and South Dakota are wounded." Wash stated before he sighed.

"I need you to tell them to head to the lower level, there's another cargo hanger below and less security… We're busy dealing with the rest of the rebels… York, watch the left!" Carolina said as Tenn turned South.

He was ready to relax for a moment, tired by it all and not eager to do anything for the moment, relaxing.
