"You have got to be kidding me?!" Fleur held the phone away from her as Marie yelled at the top of her lungs. She slowly placed the phone back on her ear, her volume hadn't changed.

"Marie, calm down, it has to be midnight over there. You don't want your mom to wake up, now do you?"

"You're telling me a hot guy with everything I described is over there?!" her tone didn't change in the slightest. Fleur should have expected as much.

"I never said he was hot," Fleur couldn't help but smile at her friend's excitement. The young woman continued to listen to her friend as she wrapped the cord of the phone around her finger.

"Fleur, you have to get him. He sounds like the perfect guy for you!"

"Keep in mind, I met him like an hour ago. Also, I'm not looking to date a boy that I will never see again once this year is over," she hesitated for a moment. "And I was kinda a bitch to him"

"What did you do?"

"I have been single my entire life, okay. I will be fine either way. But I just was cold to him,"

"Oh, so you were just being yourself,"

"Hey!,"

"Love you dear, but hey it's okay. Things happen. The next time you see him you walk up and give him a big kiss,"

The young woman chuckled. "That's not how that works. I'm sure I would scare him off even more,"

"Hmm, I doubt it. Just do it you, big dummy. What's the worst that can happen?"

"Well I-,"

"Oh stop being smart, you can't let this opportunity run away from you. You're perfect for him!." The young woman felt her body tense up, the cord tightening around her finger. A lump formed in her throat., Marie seemed to notice her friend's sudden change in tone. "Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't mean it, The beauty took a moment to gather her thoughts. "Fleur, I'm so sorry,"

"It's okay Marie, it really is. It's stupid for me to still be affected by something so trivial,"

"Honey, don't think like that. You know that I love you for how you are. I'll be here, always,"

"I'm gonna go take a shower,"

"Okay, I love you, Fleur,"

"I love you too, Marie. Good night,"

"Sweet dreams, don't be afraid to call,"

"Alright, night,"

"Night," Fleur placed the phone back on its receiver, her finger was beginning to lose its color. Another sigh left her body.

The young woman quickly climbed out of her bed, placing herself in front of the small mirror. "Look at me," She placed one finger under her eye, pulling it down to see the whites. "Why are my eyes so red? I need more sleep," A sudden golden sparkle caught the beauty's eye, she looked over at the source; a tube of dark red lipstick.

"Perfection, that is key," She whispered to herself. "I have to be perfect," She wrote it slowly in her mirror, followed by a rating of herself. "I look like a 6 right now," A feeling of sadness took over the young woman as quickly as it came, the feeling was replaced by the feeling of anger. She slowly squeezed the lipstick but throwing it across the room.

"I hate you mama,"

A knock from the door broke her train of thought. Fleur snapped out of her trance and quickly walked over to the door, trying to be presentable. When she opened it, she was met with a boy who was shaking like a fool. "Can I help you, Noah?" She asked as she looked down at the shorter boy.

"I- I have this for you," He held out a letter with a heart on the envelope with a fancy P written on the cover.

She grabbed the letter and looked back at the boy, who looked like he was about to pass out from fear. She gave a fake smile. "Thank you, Noah," She kissed him on the cheek and as she closed the door, she heard a thud. The beauty chuckled and walked over to her bed. "That boy deserves better, oh well,"

Fleur looked at the letter and groaned. She snapped her fingers and the letter was soon in ashes. She threw herself on her bed, burying her face into her sheets. She slowly allowed her mind to wander.

(Next morning)

"So where did you disappear to last night, Harry?" Finn asked with a smirk. His green tie was a mess and he seemed to be missing half of his uniform. It's a miracle he can even find this way around the school. "I saw you sneaking out, don't think you can be smarter than me,"

"I"m always smarter than you Finn," he answered as he continued to poke at his breakfast. "Besides, I don't think I'm really gonna care about that tournament. Did I miss anything?"

"Nothing much, all you need to know is that you can put your name into that goblet over there," He pointed to a goblet that spewed out blue flame at the front of the great hall. "If you do, you can be selected to be the champion for Hogwarts in the tournament. But as you stated you won't be competing so that just means more of a chance for me,"

"The only rule is that you have to be seventeen," Micheal added. "We are announcing who gets to be chosen tomorrow evening. Any of you dressing up?"

"You two thinking of entering?" Finn asked as he shoved a waffle into his mouth and ignored Micheal's question.

"I don't think my father would want me to enter a tournament that could kill me," The gray-eyed wizard stated. "And you heard Harry,"

"That's perfect, there goes number one and number three,"

"Number 1 and Number 3?" Harry asked.

"The ranking for our class. Harry, you're number one by miles. Followed by me, then Micheal. With you two out, that means that I will be guaranteed to get the starting spot."

"First of all, that is not accurate at all. If you're talking just about our year, then Abigail is the clear number two, then Laura. If we are including the ENTIRE school. Hermione would be at number 2, by far. " Micheal stated loudly as he animated his words. "The only thing I will give you is that you are strangely good at the transfiguration and surprisingly you are good at dueling as well,'"

"Why do you always analyze us?" The Irishman added.

"Spend a summer with my dad and you'll know. But anyways, I heard something that might interest you, Finn. If you think you're up for a challenge."

"What is it?"

"Beauxbatons has a Veela."

Both of the friends looked at him intently. "A Veela?" Harry asked with peaked interest.

"Yes, sir. A Veela. I heard it from Ron last night in the common room. He was talking all about it with your brother and Hermione. And if I know anything about Veelas, she'll be very good with fire." Micheal suddenly motioned towards Harry.

"What does that have to do with me?" he asked the girl he met in his mind.

"You're good with fire, so I figured if Finn does get selected. He would be able to train with you,"

"You think there's gonna be a duel?" Finn remarked.

"No, but better be safe than sorry just in case there is one,"

The Irishman turned to the man who's being mostly quiet. "What do you say?"

"If you get selected, then sure. I'd love to," Suddenly he felt a weird pull, the one he felt from the last night. He turned his head towards the feeling and not to his surprise, everyone was looking in the same direction. That's when he saw her. Just as beautiful as last night.

"I believe we found her," Micheal stated with a chuckle.

She was alone, which was weird for Harry. Without a second thought, he stood up and walked over to her. As he got closer, he felt the pull getting stronger. He felt the number of eyes looking at him. They were piercing and the room suddenly got tense. She looked up at him and he noted that her face relaxed a bit.

"Well, I didn't expect to see you here," he stated quietly.

"I needed to get out,"

"I see, why did you choose to come here?"

She shrugged. "Wasn't my choice but my 'eadmistress told me to go explore and I figure I just go to zee one place I know,"

He chuckled. "Fair enough," He noticed that she looked over his shoulder and sighed.

"May I make a request?"

"Uh, sure,"

"I would like zat tour now," Harry was taken aback by the request but he didn't mind.

"Of course,"

She smiled but it quickly went away. "Lead zee way," She turned tail and began walking away. Harry looked back and noticed his two friends staring at him with gaping mouths. He chuckled and followed her.

The pair sat quietly at the lake, the young man stood in the shallow part of the lake, skipping rocks. The young woman hugged her legs and watched his figure, she caught herself staring a little too long. Neither of them said much to one other. Despite being strangers, she felt comfortable with him"Did you really want a tour of the school or was that just an excuse to leave?" he asked while still looking out to the water.

She scoffed. "I would expect a loner to understand, but zere was somezing else,"

"What was it? And what makes you think I am a loner?" He kept skipping rocks.

"Well, you did tell me last night that you don't like being around ozzer a lot, so I just assumed. And zere was a boy walking up, I didn't really want to talk so now we're 'ere. "

He chuckled. "I guess you have a unique problem."

She looked at him with curiosity. "Unique? Now, why is zat?"

"Well you're a Veela aren't you?"

She looked at him with her head tilted, he looked back with a slightly smug look. "Well, you're smart, but I'm only part. If I was fully one, you would be my dinner," Fleur smiled widely as a scared look came on his face, though he tried his best to hide it. "I'm kidding, full Veelas aren't humans so I wouldn't be allowed to go to school. You can relax"

He chuckled and went back to his task. "Would you say it's a curse or a blessing?"

She leaned back on her hands and looked to the sky. "Well, let's see. Girls hate me because zey zink I want to steal zier boyfriends, boys want me and act like fools around me, old men want me and eet's creepy, everyone talks about my body and 'ow much zey want to sleep with me" she watched as the young man looked stunned. "Now what do you think?"

"It doesn't seem easy."

"It's not, but I don't 'ave to worry about make-up. So zere are some nice zings."

"So why did you come to England?"

"I didn't 'ave a choice. My school chose me and I couldn't protest. Not unless I want to hear it from my family. Zee only zing I miss is my room at school but ozzer zen zat, it isn't much different,"

"I see, did you enter into the tournament?"

"Not yet, but I will later tonight when zere isn't so many people. Et toi?"

"I'm not entering, I don't really want to risk my life for my school,"

"At least we can agree on somezing," she looked around the space, noticing he seemed to be familiar with it. "'Ow often do you come 'ere?"

"Quite a bit, I like to sit here and play the guitar."

"Zee guitar? 'Ow long 'ave you been playing?"

He stopped throwing the stones and began to think. Fleur looked at the young man and a strange feeling went over her. She couldn't explain what it was, he had a look she couldn't place. She had to quickly snap out of her thoughts. "I want to say maybe, 12 years now. It's been a long time."

Fleur gave him a small smile "Ah, did you choose to play?"

"My dad taught me, I fell in with it, and I just kept with it," she noticed his expression changed. She thought about getting up to give him a comforting hand.

"Zat's cute, I like zat,"

"You play anything?"

"Zee piano, since I was four"

"Why did you choose the piano?"

"I didn't really have a choice, I used to enjoy eet but eet is just a chore nowadays," She dug her fingers into the ground and he seemed to notice. He decided not to press the question.

"Well, I think that's impressive, I could never learn the piano if I tried. My little sister is good at it though"

She chuckled. "Little sister? How old is she?"

"She's gonna turn nine soon." he slowly made his way over and sat down next to the beauty. He seemed more confident than last night. "I also have a younger brother that goes here. Do you have any siblings?"

"I 'ave one little sister, she just turned eight before I left for school."

"Are you guys close?"

"Oui, I love her more than anyzing,"

"I understand where you're coming from. Does she know how to play the piano as well," Fleur shook her head slowly.

"No, zey didn't force 'er to,"

"Parents?"

"Grandparents,"

"I see, I'm guessing you're not that big of a fan of your family,"

"I would be but eet would be easier to live life if I didn't have a marriage proposal every ozzer week,"

"Does that really happen?"

"You would be surprised," he laughed.

"Well, what do you think life would be like if you weren't a Veela? Like people saw you for, well you and not just your looks,"

"I'm only part Veela like I said but I would guess eet would be a little more manageable. I 'ope you know zat my looks are from my parents, not my heritage right?"

"Really?" She had to hold back her laughter as she stared at his stunned expression.

"Yes, zere are 'ugly' Veelas, but even zee ugliest ones, are still attractive compared to human standard,"

"So you're tall because your family is tall?"

"Oui," the beauty giggled to herself and watched as the young man began to blush. "Don't worry, you're zee first person I've told zis information to,"

"Oh, is there a reason you haven't told people?" he asked as he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.

She thought about it for a moment. "Well, you're first to ask/not trying to grab my chest,"

"Oh,"

"You're cute, 'Arry. In a lost puppy kind of way," she watched as the young man turned away from her. He was nervous. But this time it was different. The young man smiled widely and moved a little bit closer to the young man.

"Um, thank you," his voice was a little bit higher than before.

"May ask 'ow your romantic life is like?"

He cleared his throat before turning back to her. She noted that his face was a little bit pinker than normal. "Well, there isn't one to talk about. I haven't had a girlfriend ever,"

"Ever? Not even a crush?"

"Well, I had crushes. I'm assuming you did as well,"

"I'm a teenage girl, of course, I've 'ad," Fleur gave him a sly smirk. He rolled his eyes in response.

"Really? I would have expected you to have scared them all off," She slowly opened her mouth in shock.

"Now, now. You 'ave some bite don't you," she tried her best to hide her smirk.

"It's nothing like that, you just seem a little confident. That's all," she noticed his voice getting deeper. Either by choice or accident, she didn't care.

She responded in kind "A little confidence can go a long way. Mr. Potter," Fleur watched as his face got redder and redder. "I win" her smirk got wider.

He shook his head vigorously, slowly regaining his sense. "Wow, that was intense,"

The French beauty looked at the young man, slowly leaning on her side. "Am I zee first girl you've ever flirted wiz?"

"Um..."

She giggled under her breath. "You are interesting, 'Arry."

"How is that?"

"Well, for someone who may or may not 'ave 'ad any experience wiz girls. You are 'olding your composure very well against my magic."

"Your magic?"

"You know zat strange feeling like you feel like you NEED to talk to me? Zat's my magic. Every Veela 'es it," she watched as if a lightbulb just went off in his head. "Not many people can form full sentences, especially when zey sit right next to a Veela,"

"So be honest, have you ever used your magic to your advantage?"

"A lady 'as to keep some secrets right?"

"Come on, just one quick story,"

"Hmm, maybe anozzer day. But I'm gonna 'ave to let you know,"

"Fine, fine," The young man looked down at his watch and a look of terror went over his face. "Oh, crap I'm late!" He jumped and quickly gathered his items, the beauty watched in amusement as he frantically gathered his things. She smiled widely for the first time. "I have to go, I'm really sorry. Can we talk later? Same spot?"

"Of course, now get to class," She watched as he ran up the hill. His figure got smaller and smaller.

"He is something else. Oh Marie is gonna love him,"
