"We'll locate this woman for you and let you know when she has been found." Bo spoke softly. They had yet another new client and the meeting was a success. It started off rough with Kenzi nearly insulting the guy, but Bo recovered and never let the girl get another word in. Bo smiled watching the gentleman walk out. "You're up first. Go look in those hideouts he named and call me if you find anything."

Kenzi gasped. "What?."

"You nearly pissed him off Kenzi. Any money is good money. Now, go do as I said, or I will find another partner." Bo stayed in her seat and called the waitress back over. She was thirsty and a little hungry.

Kenzi rolled her eyes. She isn't sure if Bo's Succubus is causing this or if Bo is just horny. She hasn't even flirted or winked at anyone in Kenzi's presence. She's been all professional. She won't crack jokes or laugh at Kenzi's. "Okay, I'm going."

Bo shrugged. With Kenzi gone, she can people watch and try to find more clients. She wants money and a lot of it. She wished she could have millions by the end of the day. But no case would pay that much. Not a case she's currently working on.

She has about an hour before she needs to work on the case before this one. She was given a time when their mark would be down the street from where she is now. As a Fae, she can easily get this done on her own. But Kenzi needs to make money too. Bo is not going to live with her forever. No. Her forever is with another woman.

Lauren and Dyson

"Don't you dare sit anywhere in my office!." Lauren screamed as Dyson walked around like he belonged there.

"This room doesn't belong to you. But you're good at trying to get things that don't belong to you." Dyson smiled.

"What the hell do you want?." Lauren asked.

"You know what I want." Dyson growled.

"Bo? What's the matter, wolf? Is she not playing house with you? Lauren laughed. She used her biggest smile to mock him.

"You've always been dumb, Lauren. You chose to stay in the fae world, when you could have ran away. You chose to leave Bo when she only wanted you." Dyson fired back.

"If Bo is such a catch, why can't you catch her, cop? Why can't you cuff her and stuff her? Why hasn't she fallen into your manly, Fae arms? Lauren stepped forward with every word.

"She won't as long as she believes she's mated with you! How could she think you would be a better fit for her than me? How can she think she can trust you with her heart? You walked away. I never left. Not once. I have been there for Bo since day one. I gave up my love for her. You gave her love back." Dyson growled.

"I'm glad you said you gave it up because that's another word for stolen. You didn't need to do that because I gave her a far more powerful weapon against Aife. Without it, Bo would have been her mother's thrall. Tell me how you little strength was going to block a succubus feed? Lauren half smiled. Dyson had always been arrogant behind his noble wolf bullshit.

"I wanted the Norn to take my wolf, but she took something else. If she would have taken my wolf, Bo wouldn't have fucked you ever again." Dyson smiled. He knows they were mere moments from becoming a couple. This dumb woman before him gave up Bo.

"You still haven't told me why you're here. Why you're here and she's not? If you are all that, go to Bo. See how she falls in your arms. How she will cheat on you when you're not enough to sustain her succubus. How she will drain you to the point you will need to see a doctor to get your mojo back." Lauren backed up. Dyson was starting to smell. He probably hadn't showered in days.

"I'm here to ask you to back down. Tell Bo you don't want to be her mate. Tell her, like the three of us know, that she belongs to me, forever." Dyson turned serious. It was starting to piss him off that he even has to do this. To come to Lauren of all people to ask her to do what's right.

"When I was on my own, by your own words, you had Bo all to yourself. If she wanted to mate with you she had plenty of chances to do so. I'm dating Bo. We'll see who she wants, forever." Lauren wanted to return to her desk, but she will never turn her back on this dog. He left her out there on her own so he could fuck Bo whenever the mood hit them. Which was probably often. She stood watching Dyson. He must have been thinking about everything they had just said to each other because his face went pale.

"Now, get the hell out of my office. Do not come back." Lauren finally started to turn and smiled when it happened.

Dyson had lunged for her. She turned back with her eyes blazing gold and green. "I warned you to go." She gripped his neck and he scratched at her hands trying to pry himself loose. She felt his wolf emerge, but he couldn't shift. His feet were hitting the ground like a tap dancer. Lauren laughed at the sight and dragged him over to the window. She pulled it open with one hand and tossed the wolf out. She shook her head. She needs a shower now. She can't be smelling like an animal when she treats her next patient. She pulled her jacket off, tossed it into the hamper and walked towards her office shower.

Dyson

Dyson growled on impact. He knew he broke his arm. He gritted his teeth and walked towards his car. This could work in his favor. Bo will see that he needs to heal, and she can heal him, in bed. He nearly wrecked his car when another idea hit him.

Bo

"I found your ex-wife, now give me my money." Bo spoke softly.

"You didn't tell me where she is!? The man screamed.

"The deal was that I find her. It's up to you to go look." Bo slammed a piece of paper on the hood of his car.

"That's more like it, lady." The man smiled as he pulled his wallet out.

Bo watched him count every bill and hand them to her. "A little something extra." He smiled as he walked away.

Bo held them tight as she walked to car and counted. She must really love that woman because he gave her thousands of dollars. He never had a bank account before, but she is about to open one, right now. It's not enough, she thought. She pulled her phone out to find a bank and headed over to set up an account.

The Dal

Dyson walked in and looked around. The place is packed, and he hasn't seen who he's looking for. When he spotted Trick, he walked over to him. "We need to talk." He had to speak loudly for Trick to hear him.

Trick raised his eyes in disgust. Dyson only has one brain and it's not in his head. He already knows what this is going to be about. "I can't help you with Bo, Dyson." Trick sighed hard.

"You don't have to help me with Bo. I'm actually looking to help Lauren." Dyson spoke.

"No. Not a good idea." Trick shook his head. "What the hell happened to you? Trick finally noticed his dangling arm.

"Never mind that Trick, I need you to focus." Dyson shook his head. His arm was aching but not so much that is bothers him.

"What's this about Lauren? Trick asked.

"We need to get Aife, Trick." Dyson looked down at the man.

"What!? No. Don't even mention her here, Dyson." Trick swallowed.

"Then get another succubus, I need one, now." Dyson took a seat.

"No Succubus will help you. They all know about Bo. They won't come near here or Lauren." For the first time in a long time, Trick laughed. Dyson is out of his mind with this.

"I tried to do this the right way, but you leave me no choice." Dyson snapped as he stood.

"Go near my daughter Dyson, and I will do what the Norn wouldn't and take your love of Bo too." Trick warned. He yanked at his sleeves so Dyson would take him seriously.

"I need a Succubus. Someone capable of wiping someone's memory out." Dyson bowed his head. He was having to do too much right now. Everything is not how it should be. Bo should be his. Lauren should be gone back to the human world.

"Playing with anyone's memory is dangerous. Playing with Aife is worse. Let her stay where she is, if we do need her, I will decide when to get her out." Trick rounded the bar and grabbed a drink. Aife is not well and Dyson screwing around with her, would make things much worse.

"Then what am I supposed to do? I'm stuck like this. Stuck with my mate. Bo could love me again. If Lauren doesn't remember her or if she steps down. From what she told me earlier, she's dating Bo." Dyson shook his head.

"If Lauren said that, it must be true. Bo must know it to be true too." Trick turned back to Dyson.

For once since this all started, Dyson knew it was over. His chance with Bo had long flown out the window. But that doesn't mean he has to like it. He doesn't.

"Who died in here? Kenzi asked as she walked in.

"Kenzi, is Bo with you? Trick asked.

"I don't know where Bo is." Kenzi looked at Dyson. He turned away and took a drink. "Yep, it's dead in here." She said as Trick walked a drink over to her.

Bo sat in the parking lot. Kenzi had done her job and they have a new client. Bo has nothing to do at the moment. Nothing but time. Time to think. Time to keep checking her phone and voicemail from messages from Lauren. Nothing yet. She sighed in her seat. She knows she can call, but she won't. She has to keep her word about letting Lauren choose when they have another date.

She thought of her own thought and the word choose. Lauren doesn't know she's Bo's choice. For years, the succubus was on the run and never thought anyone she took to bed would be her choice. Even if they had lived to see the next morning. A lady on the streets, but a freak in the bed was literally her life. One night in bed with Lauren and one conversation changed everything. She woke Nadia up and had to back down. She let Lauren grieve and waited until she couldn't wait anymore. Get the fuck out of your head, Bo. She mouthed loudly.

She grabbed her keys from the ignition, pocketed them and climbed out of the car. This is Trick's bar, and she wants a nice, single night out. She smiled when she heard the music. Dancing and liquor it is.

She walked in and was immediately swamped by Kenzi and Dyson. She pushed the wolf away and pulled Kenzi to the floor to dance with her. The floor was soon packed with other dancers. The music was loud, and the liquor was poured every time Bo emptied her glass.
Hours passed and it wasn't any use. Her heart ached for the one woman that should have been dancing, smiling, and laughing with her. She pushed off of another feely lady and walked to the bar. Trick poured her a few glasses of water, and she drank them. "I'm out of here. You guys have a good night."

"Bo, wait!." Dyson screamed.

The woman turned back to him, and he stopped. There was nothing in her eyes now. She turned back around and walked out. The trio stood looking. That wasn't the Bo they all know and love. She looked like a stranger, practically. Bo climbed into her car and laid her head on the seat rest. She took a deep breath and stared straight up. Home, she thought.

"Are you going to tell me about your arm now? Trick asked Dyson. The club cleared out when Bo left. Leaving only Trick, Dyson, and Kenzi.

Dyson hadn't even thought about his arm. If Bo is done with him, he needs to heal with time. "I was in a fight."

"With whom? Not a Dark Fae, I hope." Trick paced back and forth.

"It doesn't matter. But there is something that you should know. You both should. Lauren is not Lauren anymore." Dyson spoke into his beer.

"What do you mean? Trick raised his eyebrow.

"There's something in her. Her eyes turn green and gold now." Dyson shook his head at the memory.

"What?! Trick and Kenzi screamed.

"What did you do? Kenzi asked.

"I asked her to give up Bo. We went back and forth about it. Then she tried to turn her back on me. I wasn't going to accept that, so I approached her. She grabbed me. My wolf surfaced. She grabbed me by the neck, and I couldn't get loose. She opened the window and threw me out." Dyson explained to shocked eyes.

"Bo's mate." Kenzi whispered.

"No! I'm Bo's mate!." Dyson screamed.

"Not anymore, Dyson. Whatever happened to Lauren happened when Bo wrote in that book. It's over. Time to accept it." Trick patted Dyson's hand and the wolf pulled it back.

"I can still win her back. It's just going to take me some time. Lauren walked away from her, and I stayed. Bo will realize that and this mate thing with them won't matter." Dyson turned away from Trick and took another drink.

"Kenzi, can you leave us alone? Trick asked.

"For what? If you're going to talk about Bo, I want to be in on it too." Kenzi huffed.

"Kenzi." Trick said with a deep tone.

"Fine." Kenzi grabbed her jacket and walked out.

Lauren

Lauren groaned as she pulled her lab coat and scrubs off. It had been a busy afternoon after Dyson left. Surgeries, broken bones, everything that could happen to human bodies seemed to happen all at once and on her shift. She started her bath water and drank some wine while the tub filled up. She stared at the water flowing down and into the tub. She set her glass down and climbed in when it was ready. She gasped at the hot water and settled in. She set back and rested her head on the wall. She splashed herself and closed her eyes.

She thought of her talk with Dyson. He did hit a few nerves with some of the things he said. Like her walking away from Bo. The bastard conveniently forgot that she told him she wanted to come home. When she did come home it was as if she never left. Bo was back to fucking Dyson and the Fae were back to being assholes. The one good thing Bo did was to free Lauren. Now she answers to nobody but her own doorbell.

She thought about her eyes. It had taken a good long while for them to go back to their normal color. Probably because she found it amusing when Dyson's body hit the surface and she watched him nurse his broken limb. He probably went straight to Bo to fix it. If they are dating, Bo knows not to rock that bed again.

Bo

Bo showered and pulled on a kimono. She walked to the kitchen for a quick dinner and retired to the couch in her suite. She has some money now, so she will only stay one more night. She laid her head back and closed her eyes. She sat up when she heard a knock at her door.

She sighed and walked over. "Kenzi? What are you doing here?

Kenzi shyly smiled and walked in. She walked around the suite for a few minutes before finally turning back to Bo. "Bo there's something you need to know."

"About what? Bo asked.

"Lauren." Kenzi finally made eye contact.

Bo went pale and sat in a chair. "Tell me."

"I think she's dying, Bo." Kenzi kneeled in front of her friend.

"Bullshit. Lauren can't die. She looked fine yesterday." Bo shook her head.

"I'm no doctor by a long shot, but her eyes turning green, and gold doesn't sound healthy to me." Kenzi tapped Bo's hands in support.

"What the hell are you talking about Kenzi?!." Bo asked.

"Dyson saw her. Things got heated and she threw him out of a window. He broke one of his arms and that lead him back to the Dal tonight." Kenzi explained.

"I don't believe this. You guys have never much cared for Lauren. It could be lies." Bo stayed shaking her head.

"Trick thinks it happened when you wrote in that book." Kenzi moved away from Bo to give the woman some space.

Bo shook once more and stopped. Had she done this to Lauren? Damned her to a terrible life and fate? Lauren can't die. Bo would die too but that part of Bo would die taking every living creature with her.

"Lauren's not dying, and I will prove it. Tomorrow." Bo looked at the time and wouldn't dare disturb the doctor at this hour.

"I'll stay here with you tonight." Kenzi started prepping the couch to sleep on.

"No. You can go home. I need to be alone." Bo stood and walked to the door so Kenzi would take her seriously.

"Bo….." Kenzi prodded.

"Goodnight Kenzi." Bo pointed to the hallway.

Bo broke as soon as the door closed. She flopped to the floor in tears. What had she done to the woman she loves? Lauren is a Doctor, and she probably knows something is off too.

This is going to be a long night. She will likely stay awake. Paranoid that she killed the woman that won't live to see morning.

"What the fuck am I worried about. If she dies, I will bring her back." Bo suddenly stood and her eyes were an absolute blue. "She's my mate too." The Succubus grinned. "We won't disturb her, but we will spend the night watching from outside of her house. If she needs help, then we will intrude."
