It was huge on the inside, green light glowing brightly from the little mushrooms that were growing on the tree roots and on the ground.

''Hevi Kabisa...'' Kion muttered quietly, awed.

An elderly lioness that was lying on a big rock, lifted her head as she heard them coming and smiled.
''Grandmother,'' Rani began. ''This is Kion and the Lion Guard.'' She glanced at the Guard with a smile. ''Lion Guard, this is Queen Janna. Guardian of the Tree of Life.''

Janna gave the newcomers a warm smile.
''Be welcome here.''

''Thank you, Your Majesty.'' Kion smiled back at her before bowing, along with the rest of the Guard. ''My friend Ono and I have come to be healed.''

''Step closer, Kion and Ono.''

Kion took a few steps forward, Ono landing in between him and Rani.

''You have the mark of the Guard. You are from the Pride Lands, then?'' She asked.

''Uhh, yeah.'' Kion smiled.
''Indeed.'' Ono added.

''And so, the roar has returned...'' She muttered, glancing aside with a smile.

''You know about the roar?'' Kion asked, getting her attention.

''Of course, Kion.'' She replied. ''I take it that Rafiki sent you here?''

''Yes. Ono's eyes are hurt and my scar... I can't control the roar..''
Rani looked at him with a sympathetic look.

Janna looked at them for a moment before looking aside. ''Nirmala?''

Nirmala walked beside Kion, taking a good look at him.
''Nirmala is a fierce warrior, but she is also a gentle healer.'' She took a look at Ono's eyes next before jumping up next to Queen Janna, whispering something quietly to her.

''Ono,'' The Queen began. ''Healing your sight will be simple, but the remedy will take a few days to prepare.''

''Thank you, Your Majesty.'' Ono smiled gratefully, bowing.

''Kion,'' She continued. ''Your ailments are more complicated. It is more than just a scar.''
Rani glanced over at Kion again with a concerned look.
''Your healing will take time. And patience.''

''Then I'd like to start right away.''

''I'm sure you would. Nirmala?''

''We'll begin today.'' Nirmala smiled.

''Thank you, Your Majesty.'' Kion said, bowing his head.

''This way, Kion.'' Nirmala said, jumping off the rock and walking past him, Kion following suit.

''Rani?'' She turned to her granddaughter. ''Please show our other guests around.''

''But the Night Pride...?'' Rani began, a bit worried.

''Baliyo and Surak can handle the Night Pride duties for now. You must continue to take on the duties that I cannot perform.''

''Yes, of course.'' Rani said before turning around and smiling at the Guard. ''Follow me.'' With that, they left the tree.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. .

They were in the middle of their tour when Ullu came flying in, catching Rani's attention. ''Hold up, everyone.''
Ullu whispered something into her ears causing a frown to appear on her face. ''Tour's over, I gotta go.'' She said before quickly rushing off.

''What was that?'' Anga raised an eyebrow.

''I don't know, but something's up.'' Fuli frowned.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. .

''Finally!'' Seeing a log drifting closer to where he was, he quickly jumped off the edge and on to the log but ended up losing his balance and falling head-first into the river.

He surfaced, looking really disappointed, watching the log drift away from him.

''Try again.'' Nirmala said calmly, smiling.

Kion groaned before walking out of the water, shaking his fur. ''And we're waiting. Again...''

''Nirmala!''
Then Rani came, skidding to a halt. ''Come quickly, we need you!''

Nirmala took off running without saying a word.

''Do you need me too?'' Kion asked, hopeful.

Nirmala stopped, looking back at him. ''Yes. We need you to stay here and focus on your task.''
Taking a last look at him, Rani took off, Nirmala following closely behind.

Kion sighed deeply.
