Outpost 54, also known as Castle Bravo, was silent as Monarch continued their research into the Titans. However, unlike most other outposts, this was their headquarters in the location that Godzilla usually stayed near. That hadn't been the case since the London incident that left thirty-seven percent of the city decimated and one unknown dead titan left behind. Godzilla had not been seen since that battle a few weeks ago, it was now mid-July and the tension was very high. Mark Russell was on edge as he looked at the reports from the research teams that had been studying the body, as he started to realize this Titan wasn't a natural creature of the planet. Most of its DNA was human, from someone that was around sixty to seventy years old.
The radiation signature was that of Gojira, meaning this human must have tried to turn himself into the King of the Monsters. That had failed in turning him into Gojira but into a hydra beast, before his untimely death via Godzilla's foot. Of course, it seemed that Godzilla was resting after the venom was injected into his leg, the researchers found the venom to be even more potent than the most dangerous venom on Earth. However, things on Outpost 236 were becoming worse. The storm had grown even more dangerous as it had only been enhanced by the remnants of Ghidorah's self created storm. Titanus Kong had been relocated to the biodome, much to the giant apes' displeasure.
"Sir?" One of the military personel looked up nervously, "Godzilla has just shown up on the scanners. He's heading to Pensacola, Florida."
Ilene Andrews winced as she watched the CNN coverage of Godzilla's attack on the Apex Cybernetics headquarters in Pensacola, Florida. Godzilla had been provoked by something going on there, something that would have most Monarch Employee's rushing to find out to keep Godzilla from destroying even more of them. However, the Alpha Titan used his atomic breath to blow up a massive section of the facility before grabbing a sphere and tossing it into a nearby park. He then blasted the thing and the area with his atomic breath, bathing it in his radiation to make sure everyone stayed away from it but could look at it.
With that out of the way, Godzilla left without any other actions against him. CNN reporters on the scene were busy trying to describe the object that the King of the Monsters threw into the park, like some sort of metal eye. She shook her head, walking out of the room to the security offices that checked on the security of the biodome. Kong had just thrown another tree spear into the dome, causing the illusion to break. She grimaced as Kong roared in anger once again, the massive Ape was not happy to be locked up in this place.
The world was in motion, ever since the Pensacola incident. People were starting to question what Apex Cybernetics were doing, while military leaders were clearly discussing the use of another oxygen destroyer missile to be launched at Godzilla should he ever resurface near land. Of course, that was promptly stopped as Monarch made a press statement that Godzilla had surfaced because Humanity was doing something that it shouldn't even be doing. Messing with the natural order of the planet, as the spokesperson for Monarch called on all peoples to not cause another mishap with the natural order.
Maia grimaced as she looked at the H.E.A.V that was being loaded onto a cargo container that would be heading to Skull Island to pick up the gigantic monkey. Her father had drawn the press away with his oily words, saying that machine hadn't been for some robotic titan. No, it had been for a new spacecraft prototype that had been using too much energy. People ate that explanation right up, as it seemed Godzilla had overreacted. However, it seemed that more people believed that Godzilla had surfaced because Apex was up to something much more dangerous.
She had been on the same chopper as her father and Ren, Godzilla had watched them for several long minutes. It was like he knew what she was before Ren snapped her out of her fear, having her calm down. Then Godzilla acted way more human than before and tossed the eye of Mechagodzilla into the open. That had not been the plan at all, but here they were now, getting Nathan Lind to Skull Island and to get the Monkey off of the cursed place.
The creature inside her head was silent, as it always was, it was so alien to know what it was feeling when the silence lingered. In her dreams, she saw it standing there in the ruins of Tokyo. It was a burning hellscape that it had created, standing sentinel over the ruins of the place that had been destroyed before by another creature similar to it. Its long tail swaying behind it as it stared at her with its unblinking eyes, like it was staring into her soul. By the end of these dreams, she was covered in sweat and her heart was trying to tear itself free of her body.
She walked towards the ship, ignoring Nathan as she walked straight past him. She wasn't in the mood to speak with anyone at the moment, she had too much on her plate at the moment.
Across the ocean waters in Hong Kong, Ren Serizawa watched as Mechagodzilla was being built in the main combat room. It had to be perfect if this human creation was to defeat Godzilla in combat, leaving Humanity on top. The son of the late IshirÅ Serizawa also knew that the battle would be one of family ties, as he saw Godzilla as the elder brother that his father constantly looked out for. Ren had once felt jealousy and loathing towards the Alpha Titan, but that had passed when his father gave his life so that Godzilla could live and kill Ghidorah.
The Irony was that they now had the head that Gojira ripped off to help them control the mechanized Titan. Though Ren would swear on his father's grave that the skull was trying to reach out and talk to him, it was unnerving but the CEO hadn't tested the connection just yet as they didn't have all the assets in place. Godzilla was still king and would hunt the mecha down if he ever got wind of this happening. But, with Maia on her way to get Kong from his island and take him to the Hollow Earth, they would soon have the power source needed to power Mechagodzilla for good.
