It was quiet during the trip to Antarctica, of course, as quiet as one could have it as they were avoiding the routes Godzilla patrolled. Ilene watched Kong as he ate his breakfast of fish, as Jai was eating some cereal next to her. Kong seemed pleased with his food as they continued slowly going onwards through the Tasman Sea, the military fleet in formation to protect Kong. That was until things went wrong, starting with the fact that everything seemed too calm. Ilene had also told the ship captain that 'Kong bows to no one' earlier, but that had been in the heat of the moment. She didn't know if Kong would bow or not as he wasn't like his ancestors.

The same ancestors that butchered all of the Titanus Gojira species before Godzilla tore them apart by himself.

She shuddered, remembering that bloody history from the book. Starting over a young Titanus Kong killing a Titanus Gojira baby that had wandered outside the sanctuary that all the young Gojira species grew up in. After that, the first and most bloodiest war in Titan history began. Ilene could vividly see the war playing out in her dreams whenever she put that book down, it was starting to drive her mad with what the Kongs actually did. Much to her horror, she had to say that Kong was related to Tyrants and bloodthirsty monsters that killed other Titans for sport.

Several years into the war, Godzilla's elder female sibling was brutally despined by a group of raiding Kongs. All of her dorsal spines were torn from her back before she was eviscerated right in front of him. She had learned that in the pack system the Gojira species had, Godzilla was the lowest of the low in birth. Unlike Kong, who was born to royalty, through his mother being the daughter of the reigning Titanus Kong leader. But in the long run, that had been the last straw for the current King of the Monsters. In an act of revenge, Godzilla castrated every raiding Kong, tore out their own spines and made them eat their own family jewels before he tore their heads off.

After that, Godzilla became a roaming butcher. No Titanus Kong was safe from his rage, as it became known throughout the Hollow Earth that Godzilla had become Gaia's Wrath Incarnate. Kong after Kong was slaughtered; children, women, men, it didn't matter. In the end, Godzilla was forced into a trap. He fell into a volcano that the Kongs used to charge their weapons before sealing it up, before they attacked the Titanus Gojira pack. In the end, the war would have ended right there as the Kongs killed almost every Titanus Gojira specimen. However, it was written that a few of the species escaped into the wild that the Kongs refused to traverse due to not being skilled enough to handle swampy areas.

Godzilla had escaped his prison then proceeded to kill every Kong in his way until he reached the temple of the Kongs. There, he killed Kong's Mother's family then beheaded Kong's Father's Father. Then he caved in Kong's Father's eye, leaving a mark that would remind him of what happened that day. In the end, only three families of Kongs escaped to Skull Island but Kong was the last survivor as the Skullcrawlers came after them. Ilene mentally grimaced as she looked at the last surviving Kong as he finished off his fishy breakfast, trying not to see the burning and death his bloodline caused that made the last Titanus Gojira in existence to want Kong dead so badly.

Kong was having a wonderful morning, Jai was safe, he had gotten his fill of food and everything was okay. Sure, he missed Skull Island, the only place he ever knew. But, he was also pretty sure that after Camazotz attack that even he couldn't handle the raging winds that were tearing his home apart. That was until the atmosphere changed and became darker, oppressive and dangerous. Looking up, Kong felt shock take hold of him as he saw spines coming out of the water like a shark. In his nightmares, he saw those spines in the distance, a primal force that would not be stopped or halted by anyone.

He panicked, trying to get his shackled off of his wrists. They wouldn't come off, much stronger than he was at this moment as he heard the humans firing upon the monster that had come. He knew why that monster was here, the Iwi told him to never ever leave Skull Island for any reason. In Iwi mythology, the Wrath of the planet ruled land and sea and had declared Kong's people to remain on that island after what they had done. The planet had decreed it so Kong knew that what his ancestors must have done had to be really bad, but now that Wrath was here to end him because he left Skull Island.

He paused as he saw half of a ship get dragged under the waves, Kong gathered his courage and roared at the water. In a heartbeat, Godzilla erupted out of the blue water and slammed into the ship with enough force to cause it to flip over. Kong cried out as he fell into the water, trying to pull himself back onto the ship but only got a last gulp of air in before he was under the waves. Looking around, he saw the beast charging him at full speed. The water demon nearly tore out his throat if Kong hadn't been able to defend himself due to his restraints being undone. He held his enemy back as he tried to bite his face off, over and over again. In a moment of thought, and losing oxygen quickly, Kong smashed his skull into his opponents.

The Wrath of Gaia was stunned, then Kong used his enemy to springboard himself back to the surface and onto the ship. Pulling his water drenched body into the ship, he stood up and pulled the neck collar off. With a roar, Kong looked for the Wrath before realizing Jai was in trouble if he stayed here on the ship. He spotted the spines then looked behind him, spotting one of the largest ships that the humans had. He leapt from the ship he was on, to a smaller ship to jump to the largest ship. Once upon it, he threw one of the small objects at the Wrath, who ignored it.

With a roar, the Wrath erupted out of the surf and onto the same ship, which began to sink under their weight. Kong slammed his fist into his opponent's face but because he had a tail, he only took a step back before being slapped across the face with more power than he had put into his punch. On his back, unable to do anything, Kong expected nothing but death. The humans saved his life as they distracted the Titan, Kong quickly got up and shoved the Wrath off the ship.

Kong then realized he made three mistakes; the first was that he pushed his opponent into his home turf, the second was that he was now on a sinking ship and third, the water was glowing. Kong quickly, and stupidly, jumped into the water. The ship he had been on exploded behind him as he felt the heat nearly burned his hair away. He was about to swim to the surface when he was hit from behind, and began being dragged under by the Wrath. With very little oxygen left and the darkness filling his vision, Kong accepted his fate to die.

It shocked him when he was released, before he swam to the water surface and pulled himself onto the ship. Coughing up water and gulping down air before collapsing onto his back on the ship, spotting the Wrath looking at him through the flame covered waters. He had been beaten and he was so, so tired. He closed his eyes and knew no more, as the darkness consumed him into the nothingness.
