Within the third and final Mark-5 Jaeger stationed in France, Narcissa and Circe Potter (legally) watched the cooling body of the kaiju that had come ashore on the Dover coastline. The white cliffs were sizzling from the kaiju blood that had splattered all over it, the Jaeger "Grim Faith" was smoking lightly but was otherwise undamaged. The category 3 kaiju looked like a cross between a shark and a multi-legged salamander, but was in two pieces due to Grim Faith's scythe weapon. Unlike the other Mark-5 Jaegers, Narcissa and Circe didn't get her until a year after they joined the PPDC.
Grim Faith had, formerly, been an amalgamation of several various Jaeger types. That was until it was scrapped and the new one had been created, the mother-daughter duo was relieved at that. The original Jaeger had been a mess and most likely would have killed them but Monarch saved them from that fate. The new Jaeger was jet black and ran on magic, like many of the magical ranger run Jaegers did.
The duo got the Jaeger to stand up as they waited for the helicopters to pick them up, silence filling the com pod. Both were missing Harry deeply, however, they both knew that he wasn't going to just run back to them at the slightest bit of danger. They knew who he was, what he was. He was the Alpha Predator and he had a bigger role on the natural order of the planet then anyone else. The former Malfoy's decided that joining the Jaeger Program would allow them to at least help defend humanity from the kaiju threat while Harry did what needed to be done.
"All pilots," A crisp voice said over the intercom of the Jaeger, "More Titans have arrived. Repeat, more Titans have arrived. Atlantica Iris, Titanus Moonhidorah, Titanus Scylla, Titanus MUTO, Titanus Mosura, Titanus Biollante."
Both mother and daughter looked at one another in surprise, more Titans?
"Titanus Rodan, Titans Rodania," The voice continued.
"Really, Rodania?" Circe rolled her eyes, "Calling Rodan's hatchling that?"
Narcissa hushed her as the voice continued, "Titanus Mother Rodan. Any Jaegers that wish to be dropped in with the three Rodan specimens must consult their Shatterdome commander and Monarch agent for further details."
Both women looked at one another then shook their heads, no, they wouldn't be transferring to the Rodan partnership. Working with flying Titans was a hazard of its own making and ones that were part volcano were not the best with Jaegers not designed to handle those temperatures.
Deep in the Arctic ocean, Godzilla or as others that were close to him knew him as, Harry Potter, was heading to an opening to the Hollow Earth. He had only recently woken up from his hibernation state, only realizing that the Earth had come under attack from another ancient threat. The false Titans, or as the ancient humans called them, the Gods of the Outside. The Titans were recovering from the Titan War when the false Gods attacked, coming through the breach.
Titan's were one the assault once more and drove the false gods back into the breach before he closed it. Then a few years later, the One who is Many arrived. He pushed those memories away, finding the opening before swimming into the tunnel and exiting into the vast hollow ocean that filled many deep places. This section of the ocean bordered the ancient and long forgotten Gojira sanctuary, and where his sister's bones lay. Harry felt a tear roll down his cheek, ignoring it as he tried to rationalize that she was Godzilla's sister, not his.
That failed as he also knew that his Mother had a stillborn before he had come around, that stillborn had been a girl. The parallels between the Alpha and himself were quite striking, but he was starting to realize that maybe he was more then just some powerful wizard or some Titan king. He then pushed the philosophical thoughts away as he came out of the ocean waters and into a darkening storm. Hollow Earth was quite dangerous in everything, including the storms that came down upon both top and bottom of the ecosystem.
It was how Titan's got to be strong, the survival of the fittest and wisest lived long enough to survive to adulthood and have a family. That was how it worked, he knew this and he knew that the Earth knew it. He moved through the storm, as the rain slammed into his hide like bullets. Lightning struck his spines, but he didn't react. This was a test, a test Gaia did to all previous Alpha Titans before him. Yes, there had been other Alpha Titans. He was just the only one that lived the longest, as the cycle demanded.
He stepped onto the soggy mud and sand that made up the beach, the winds trying to shove him down into the soil. He growled and his spines ignited, glowing completely blue. The winds died and then the storm broke, the test was over. He made his way inland, past the marks of previous nests that had held the children and eggs of Gojira. He finally reached it, crouching down to uncover the bones. They had been covered, like someone had buried her.
Probably that stupid Kong, as he was a simain, he had no concept of burials amongs the Gojira species. He soon uncovered her bones and looked at them, ancient and cold. Her spines had been recovered by him in ages past and reconnected to her body, so they wouldn't be used again as weapons. He didn't know how long he stayed there, remembering his elder sister before he was sidelined by something massive.
With a howl of rage, he collapsed, seeing white. He scrambled to his feet, blinking until the white left. He saw one of the false Gods, grinning darkly at him over some cruel joke. The thing had a hammerhead shaped skull, multiple tails, a muscular build and was taller then him by about a dozen or so meters. He roared, his spines igniting the dark area around them in a dazzling blue show of power.
The false God backed off, startled by the display before leaping at him. Harry caught the offender, hands throttling the kaiju as he smashed it into the ground. The monster gasped before he was back handed by something else, the strike sending him flying into a nearby mountain. He groaned weakly, not really feeling his legs or body as the massive hulking black shape came into view. It was even taller then the False god, all black, grey and dark green. It had softly glowing orange orbs all over the sides of its chest, either side of its neck and down its tail.
Its two huge arms were connected to hands that had six fingers, all of them were massive and tipped with massive claws. Its feet had five toes with the same claws, its small head gave him a dark look as he felt a huge hand grab him by his throat. He growled but he couldn't concentrate long enough to attack with his atomic breath, as he was dragged away from the mountain. He was dragged into the ocean before he saw the orange glow of the breach, the creature pulled him in before he was now in the place where the kaiju came from.
He felt something trying to force dominance on his mind but he sent it back and forced his mind on whomever dared to do that. He gained information and realized that these were the masters of the Kaiju, these Precursors that thought all things nodded before their grand empire's edifice. Of course, they stole other monsters from different empires they had destroyed. This included the monster holding him by his throat, dragging him towards the biomass sea. This beast was called Nemesis Prime, a monster created by the Aeros, the former malevolent extraterrestrial empire.
He also found out that they were nearing completion of their next phase, of what that was, this mind didn't know. Or did know but he didn't get it out of the accursed thing before it died, the corpse slowly collapsing in the alien gravity. It felt like earth's oceans here, like he was swimming in this place. Nemesis Prime growled before throwing him bodily into the biomass ocean, the muck swallowing him with an alien hunger.
He panicked, thrashing around before reason took control. He charged his spines, filling them with power before causing a shockwave to come out of his body. This wave incinerated the biomass ocean around him, the smell of flesh and other organic materials burning filled his nose. He didn't care, he stood up and glared at Nemesis Prime. The hulking monstrosity growled back, eyes staring him down.
He charged up his atomic breath before rushing Nemesis Prime, the monster lifting a massive hand to slap him away. He opened his jaws, catching a glimpse of it's surprised face and opening mouth before his most powerful weapon went into its mouth. Nemesis Prime couldn't scream as it lost its head, before aiming his atomic breath down. The blue beam cut open the alien beast before it exploded, consuming the area around it and himself in a massive explosion.
