Prompt 1

A Mother's Duty is to her Children

Today was probably one of the worst days of her life. And yet, Inko knew it was a million times worse for her baby boy. All he wanted was to be a Hero, like All Might. To save people. But the doctors say he's Quirkless. A part of her was relieved; Inko knew how dangerous Hero life was. Once upon a time, she'd been a reason it was so dangerous. But a far larger part knew this would break him. The situation was made all the worse by her husband. Once he'd gotten the call, Hisashi had outright disowned Izuku as his son, going so far as to suggest Inko had had an affair because "there's no way any child of his could be Quirkless". Despite Izuku wanting to talk to his father, Inko had instead hung up the phone and told him the man had to go back to work. Izuku was a bright boy but he hadn't gotten the hang of time zones yet and didn't realize what time it was over in California.

So she'd tucked her little boy into bed before returning to her own bedroom and thinking over the situation. Her precious baby had his dream shattered and lost his father in the same day. Still, perhaps there was a way to fix one of those problems. It was possible for Izuku to get a Quirk, if she was willing to call on some old associates. But she'd sworn she was done with that life. She fought hard to get out and leave it all behind. Still... for Izuku's sake, she'd do whatever it took.

That was why, thirty minutes later, Inko was walking into an old tool shed in an abandoned lot she owned under a pseudonym. While the building itself was obviously in terrible condition, the lock on the door broken and the walls covered in graffiti and burn marks from vandals, the floor was still in one piece. With a quick application of her Quirk, Inko changed that in a heartbeat. While it was true the Midoriya matriarch could only move a few kilograms of weight at once, she could manipulate multiple objects at once so long as they didn't exceed her limit. In this case, she ripped up numerous small fragments of the floor to break up the whole thing. Underneath the concrete floor was an old safe, the sort that could only be opened with a key, which she'd destroyed years ago. Using her Quirk to manipulate the lock's tumblers, Inko opened the safe door and revealed its contents. Inside were stacks of gold coins, bundles of unmarked bills, and numerous bullets of various makes (though no firearms). Brushing them all aside, Inko reached in and pulled out an old cellphone and one of several amulets. Inserting a new battery into the phone, she dialed a number from memory and waited. The other end picked up exactly three rings later. "Midoriya-san, to what do I owe the pleasure?"

Taking a steadying breath, she idly fingered the amulet and spoke the words that would change everything, "Tell Shigaraki-san that I'm calling in that favor he owes me."

The next morning, Inko was woken up from a too short slumber by a loud cry of alarm from her son's room. Launching herself out of bed, Inko sprinted into Izuku's room, ready to confront any who'd harm her darling son. But rather than an intruder, she found Izuku trying to put out a small fire on his bed. Inko promptly pulled the apartment's fire extinguisher towards her and used it to put out the fire. Only taking notice of her as the fire was extinguished, Izuku jumped towards his mother and started babbling too fast to comprehend. The danger past, Inko used her Quirk to put back the fire extinguisher as she kneeled down to his level. "Izuku baby, slow down. What're you trying to tell mommy?"

Taking a deep breath to calm down slightly, Izuku shouted in glee, "Mommy, I got my Quirk! I breathed fire, just like dad! Isn't it great!? I have a Quirk now! Can I be a hero too, mommy?"

Smiling at her son's excitement and overflowing joy, Inko hugged him tightly and assured him, "Of course you can dear. You'll be the best hero ever."

Over a decade later, Inko sat in a chair as she waited to hear from the doctors about her sons' condition. Her darling Izuku, or Hearth as he went by in the field, had been involved in a raid against the Shie Hassaikai and while the raid was successful, he was once again hospitalized. In the waiting room with her were Katsuki, Izuku's best friend, along with his mother Mitsuki and the little girl Izuku had risked so much to save, Eri. At that moment, a doctor came out of the operating theater. "Mrs. Midoriya? Your son's going to be alright. He had quite a few injuries, including several broken bones, but he should make a full recovery. We have him sedated right now but he should awaken tomorrow morning."

Thanking the doctor, Inko watched him leave before turning to her long-time friend. "Mitsuki-chan, could you watch over Izuku and little Eri-chan for a bit? I'm afraid I have an important errand to run." Despite her kind and motherly tone, Mitsuki knew better than to refuse. She still remembered who Inko used to be, and in the matron's eyes, she could see the woman who'd ripped out two of her teeth as a "friendly warning" back when she was a dumb teen and didn't blink at news of her husband disappearing. Accepting her nod, Inko turned to Eri next, "Stay with Auntie Mitsuki for now, alright Eri-chan? When I come back, we'll have some apple juice and mochi." Awed by the idea of her favorite food being a juice as well, Eri nodded rapidly at the nice lady who had introduced herself as Izuku-nii's mom.

Kai Chisaki wasn't having a good day. Not at all. Between those damned heroes and those "League of Villains" upstarts, his entire operation had been dismantled and most of his men killed or imprisoned. To his knowledge, only himself, Kurono, and Nemoto had managed to get away. Kai himself had barely managed to evade those bastards from the League of Villains. Now they were slumming in some total dive of a motel, trying to figure out their next move. At least they didn't have to worry about the manager of the joint ratting them out, not with the amount of cash they'd slipped him. Just then, there was a knock on the door. Kai gestured Nemoto to get it. Using his Quirk, Nemoto called out, "Who is it?"

A woman's voice answered, "I've been sent by the manager to tend to some special guests." Looking out the peephole, Nemoto saw a scantily clad woman with a bit too much makeup on.

Looking back at Kai, Nemoto told his boss, "Guy sent us a hooker." At Kai's nod, Nemoto opened the door and allowed her to enter the room, closing it behind her.

Kai looked her up and down. She certainly walked and dressed like a prostitute, clad in a dark green miniskirt and bra that matched her hair, her legs clad in black fishnets. While he certainly had no interest in touching some filthy streetwalker, his subordinates could at least have some fun with her. Warily, he asked, "So management sent ya, did he?"

Smiling behind her hand, the woman replied, "Oh yes. You see-" With a sudden gesture, Kai's hands were ripped off his body. Kurono and Nemoto both went for their guns, only for the revolvers to be ripped apart. Kurono's prehensile hair shot out but was ripped off his scalp. They trio barely had time to yell before they were gagged, Kai by his own hands and his underlings by the barrels of their guns. "He knows better than to hide the one who hospitalized my precious Izuku." In that moment, the woman's demeanor changed from "overdone flirtation" to "burning hatred". She calmly opened her purse and used her Quirk to bind the three men as she continued talking, "You really should have listened to your boss. He would've known better than to provoke me by trying to kill my son. But don't worry, I'm going to spend the rest of your life making sure you learn your lesson."

-]|[-

An hour later, Inko Midoriya left the rundown motel room, passing a trio of gold coins to the manager on her way out, adding to the one she'd given him earlier. He'd deal with the… clean up from her work. Now, she'd have to get changed and hurry back. It wouldn't do for her to not be there when Izuku woke up.

Prompt 2

Rescue Mama

Izuku ran through the testing grounds, doing his best to find faux villains to fight. While he'd managed to get twenty-two points so far, he wasn't certain that'd be enough. Rounding a corner, Izuku spotted another contestant facing down a trio of Three Pointers, only for a pair of two pointers to sneak up on them. Pulling out a pair of ball bearings from the pouch at his side, Izuku took careful aim and activated his Quirk, launching both spheres at high speed right through the Two Pointers. As he continued onwards, Izuku heard a voice behind him calling, "Thanks for the save!"

It wasn't the first time he'd aided someone during the exam, though it was the most points he'd earned from doing so thus far. Sometimes he didn't earn any, such as when he Pushed one girl out of the way of some falling debris. But if there's one thing his mother had taught him, besides ducking when you Pull something you don't intend to catch, it was that a hero's job was to save others. A black-haired boy he'd seen a few times seem to have the same idea, using some kind of defensive Quirk to shield others at times.

Just then, a loud rumble echoed across the exam area. Looking towards the source of the noise, every examinee in the area saw a massive robot, towering over even some of the buildings, moving in their general direction. In shock at how over the top such a thing was, Izuku couldn't help but mutter, "Oh my fuck. Is that what they mean by Plus Ultra?" Before he could turn and run along with the others, he spotted someone trapped in the Zero Pointer's path. It was the brunette girl from earlier; it looked like some rubble had fallen onto her legs and she couldn't get free.

As he ran towards her, Izuku started Pulling off what he could with his Quirk. But once he reached her, Izuku realized how much trouble they were in. Most of the rocks were too heavy for his Quirk and while he was in good shape, he couldn't move this much fast enough to get the girl free in time. At that moment, the black-haired boy Izuku spotted before ran over as well. Even as he helped dig the brunette out, he spoke, "Damn, bro. Got any ideas?"

"Depends. Can you pierce the robots when using your Quirk?"

Looking up in confusion, the teen responded, "Um, yeah. I tear right through them."

Nodding, Izuku responded, "Then I need you to use it to the maximum level you can. And you, um, sorry I don't know your name. Can you use your Quirk on him and hold it for a few seconds?"

The girl they were trying to rescue nodded, "Maybe, but that's about it." At Izuku's direction, she struck the hardened teen, removing his gravity.

Picking him up, Izuku aimed carefully and said, "Now, this is going to be really insane, but it should work."

"Bro, are you go-" Before he could finish his sentence, Izuku Pushed, firing the other boy like a missile straight into and through the massive Zero Pointer. With a giant hole in its chest, the humongous mecha fell backwards, short-circuited parts exploding as it crashed to the ground. Mere moments after launching him, Izuku Pulled, bringing the other teen right back into his arms. "Holy shit bro! That was manly as hell! And insane!"

"AND THAT'S TIME!"

-]|[-

It was the day of their first Practical Heroics class and Izuku was happily chatting with his new best friend Eijiro Kirishima (who'd recently dyed and restyled his hair) as they left the locker rooms, having changed into their hero costumes. The pair of them had bonded over both their shared experience in the entrance exam and being the target of Bakugo's anger at having come in third place due to the rescue points they earned from saving Ochako. Unlike Bakugo, Izuku didn't mind being second place nor did Kirishima rub it in that he took first. "Okay, I can see how sleeves would be useful if I have to grab someone, but won't my Quirk just tear right through them?"

Shaking his head, Izuku replied, "Not necessarily. If you can get the right material, it will be durable enough to withstand your hardened body while also being soft enough to not injure others accidentally." While Kirishima wanted to believe his friend, he couldn't think of any fabric that could do both nor could he even guess where he'd find such a material. His doubt must have shown on his face as Izuku further elaborated, "I'd have to ask my mom, but I'm sure she knows someone who could create it. She helped with my costume after all!"

Before either of them could say more, a new voice chipped in, "Does your mom work for a support company designing hero costumes?" The speaker was Ochako Uraraka, Izuku's other new best friend. While Kirishima was sporting a loose-fitting pair of pants, harness, and face mask, Ochako wore a tight-fitting catsuit with bulky boots and gauntlets. Combined with her visored helmet, the whole costume gave her a space theme, as befitting her Quirk.

Once he fought down his blush at her form-fitting costume, Izuku replied, "Not quite. Mom's Quirk is similar to mine, though where I can Push or Pull anything that weighs under five kilograms, she can only Pull, though her weight limit is over twenty times my own. So she called up her old support staff and asked them to design me a costume. And well, this is the result." Izuku gestured at his own costume, a jungle green jumpsuit with thick dark green lines going from his wrists to his shoulders, then down to his ankles. Thick white gloves and black boots encompassed his hands and feet. Finally, dotted all over his costume were small metal plates. While some covered vital areas such as his chest and thighs, others seemed more random such as his forearms and shoulders. "Each of these plates provide protection but I can also use my Quirk to fire them at enemies if need be. And they're light weight enough to not impede my movement."

As Izuku explained, a lightbulb seemed to go off in Ochako's mind. "Support staff? Wait, don't tell me! Is your mom Magnetic?! The highest-ranking rescue hero ever!?"

Surprised at her exclamation, Izuku responded, "Um yeah. I mean, she used to be. Mom retired when she found out she was pregnant with me. I asked her once and she said some heroines try to continue their career while pregnant, often wearing some form of body armor. It always ends in tragedy. So she retired rather than risk losing me before I was born. Though, I am surprised you know of her Ochako."

Nearly vibrating with excitement, Ochako declared, "Know her?! She's my favorite hero ever! Not only is her Quirk kinda similar to mine, but she managed to get all the way to seventh place in the hero rankings despite almost never fighting villains! I have all her merchandise! Oh my god, could you get me her autograph? I would sell my soul for Magnetic's autograph!"

Unfortunately, Mineta chose that moment to speak up, "Magnetic? I still have that swimsuit calendar she did for charity years ago. I've lost count of the number of times I've beat my meat to her in that tiny bikini." Before he could say any more, one of the plates on Izuku's costume suddenly rocketed across the field and beaned Mineta right between the eyes.

Prompt 3

Gotta Go Fast

Izuku Midoriya rushed to reach class on time. It was the first day of classes after the Sports Festival and being recognized as the second place winner resulted in a mob of well-wishers and admirers that held him up for far too long. While Rumi-chan might have simply pushed through the crowd once they got on her nerves, he was still too shy to think of doing similar. Besides, even if his final match was one-sided to the point of being almost embarrassing, it was still nice to be acknowledged for his efforts. After breaking four fingers to barely defeat Todoroki, Izuku just didn't have anything left in the tank to give Rumi-chan a proper fight after she'd beaten Kac- Katsuki. Still, he refused to give less than his all, especially against the one of his two girlfriends who'd likely take it as an insult. So he'd gone out filled with determination to fight to the end, even if he was almost certain to lose. Instead, the moment the match began, his more volatile girlfriend had almost gently pinned him to the arena floor with one leg. With a smile much softer than her usual cocky smirk, Rumi-chan had told him it was alright. That they could fight again some other time. With her reassurance, Izuku conceded the match.

So lost in his thoughts was he that Izuku didn't realize he'd arrived until he felt Nemuri-chan greet him with one of her customary embraces. "My my, if it isn't my favorite cinnamon roll," Nemuri's throaty voiced purred into his ear, "You look so delicious right now, I could just. Eat. You. Up." While Rumi might have been the more aggressive of his girlfriends, Nemuri was definitely more physical and flirtatious. Whereas Rumi was liable to hem him in against a wall with one of her legs, nearly forcing him to get a good long look at what she dubbed her best assets, Nemuri preferred innuendos and pressing up against him.

Before Izuku could respond, a tired voice grumbled, "Settle down." Once everyone rushed to their seats, Aizawa continued, "Right. As you know, your internships are next week. Most of you have gotten a decent number of offers. For those who didn't, we have a deal with various agencies, so all of you will be interning under a Pro Hero." As he spoke, Aizawa activated a display which showed how many offers each student got. To no one's surprise, Rumi took the top spot at just over four thousand offers, though Izuku was surprised to find himself in third with nearly three thousand offers. "However, before we send you off, there's something you have to do first." As he paused, the class took a collective breath, expecting another of his "Succeed or be expelled" tests, "You have to decide on your hero names."

"That's right. And I'm here to judge them," Came a new voice. It was their Modern Hero Art History teacher, Mashirao Ojiro aka Tailman the Martial Arts Hero, carrying a stack of whiteboards. "Each of you are to write down your chosen hero name on these whiteboards and bring them to the front to be approved. Please take this seriously as it is very difficult to change your hero name once it's been approved and thus it will follow you the rest of your career. Also, while there is a great deal of leeway in hero names, ones including copyrighted terms or cursing will not be approved."

-]|[-

The various members of Class 1A quickly had their names approved for the most part, minus a few standouts, such as Mina needing to argue that "XenomorpH" wasn't copyrighted and that if it was, it'd long since expired, or Bakugo who couldn't seem to come up with a hero name that didn't include "Murder". Finally, there were only two students remaining to decide on their hero names: Izuku and Nemuri. As the pair shared a glance, Izuku gestured for her to go first. Strutting up to the podium with her trademark hip sway, Nemuri eagerly revealed her chosen alias. "I will punish villains as Midnight, the R-Rated Heroine!" While the rest of the class applauded her hero name, Aizawa grumbled to himself about "problem children giving him headaches".

At last, only Izuku was left. Taking a deep breath to settle his nerves, he walked towards the podium, only jumping slightly when Nemuri patted his ass in passing. Before he turned over his whiteboard and revealed his hero name, Izuku spoke, "I thought long and hard about this. I've been considering my hero name my whole life, even before my Quirk came in, trying to decide what kind of hero I want to be. And so, that's why I've decided," with this, Izuku flipped his whiteboard around, "That I am going to be Vanguard, the Blitz Hero." After a brief moment of silence, in which Izuku's nerves shot up once more, the class burst into the most enthusiastic applause since Tsuyu unveiled her hero name of "Froppy".

-]|[-

"So who are you planning on interning with?" Rumi curiously asked her boyfriend and girlfriend after class a week later. The three of them were casually walking towards the train station while discussing their pending internships. "I hear Endeavor wanted Todoroki, but he gave his old man the finger by joining up with one of his former sidekicks. Some chick named Burnin'."

Nemuri was the first to respond, "I accepted Kamui Woods offer. His fighting style will be great for helping me learn to subdue enemies long enough for my Quirk to knock them out. Though at least I don't have to tear my costume anymore to use my Quirk, thanks to our little cinnamon roll here." As she spoke, Nemuri pressed herself up against Izuku's arm.

"I-it was nothing Nemuri-chan. I just remembered how heroes like Mt. Lady can use their Quirks without damaging their suits and spoke to the Support Department," While Izuku's stutter wasn't nearly as bad as it used to be, both Nemuri and Rumi liked teasing him (or "sexually bullying" as Rumi put it). "A-anyway, whose offer did you accept Rumi-chan?"

"Captain Mizuki. She's not high ranked but her Olympian Quirk is a good match for me." Rumi suddenly stopped walking, causing the other two to stop as well and turn to her. "And I just remembered, you owe me something lovers~" In an impressive display of flexibility, Rumi put her foot on Izuku's shoulder then hooked her heel behind his head and brought him down for a passionate, tongue-filled kiss. After several seconds, Rumi lowered her foot and allowed her boyfriend to catch his breath, only to repeat the move with Nemuri. After getting her fill of both her lovers' mouths, she continued, her cocky smirk taking a lustful edge, "Whoever got farthest in the Sports Festival was owed the date of their choice. And you both owe me one hell of a date."

Actually blushing for perhaps the first time since Izuku met her, Nemuri coughs into her fist before trying to get the conversation back on track, "And you Izu-kun? Who did you choose?"

His previous embarrassment forgotten, Izuku perked up immediately, as he always did when discussing heroes. "Oh! Well, I had a lot of trouble maneuvering while moving at high speeds, so I decided to find a hero with a speed Quirk to help me out. Iida pointed out that one of my offers came from a cousin of his, so I'm going to be interning under-"

Before Izuku could finish, a garishly pink monstrosity of a car came hurtling down the road at truly insane speeds. The automobile swerved around traffic like the driver was playing Mario Kart, often with millimeters to spare, before slamming on the brakes hard enough for the back tires to come off the asphalt before slamming back down again as it stopped directly in front of them. The wing doors opened and out stepped a tall man with sweptback orange hair and sunglasses the same shade of hot pink as his car. "Fantastic, a new record. Another five seconds to live!" The man paused as he caught sight of the trio of teenagers gaping at him. "Hey! Is one of you Izumo? The name's Straight Cougar! I'm here to pick you up for your internship!"

AN: The first prompt was naturally inspired by the John Wick movies.
The second one by some fanart I've seen of young Inko as a hero
Third one just came up from a conversation with some friends. And yes those two mentioned heroes were Straight Cougar from S-Cry-Ed and Captain Mizuki from One Punch Man

Updates will be sporadic. If I think of new ideas, I'll type em up and upload them here.
