...

I opened my eyes, but I couldn't see. I tried to speak, but I couldn't even hear my own voice. Only the silence answered me.

Where was I? The last thing I remembered was… feeling like my heart was being ripped out of my chest. I must have regained conscious later because I could still remember parts of what happened.

There had been screaming. I remembered seeing expressions twisted in fear, but I couldn't place their faces. I could barely feel my own body.

There had been a moment when I felt like I was being burned alive. It didn't feel like fire, because I knew what it felt like to be burned. This felt like I was being incinerated from the inside.

What happened? The waves should have ended! Did we make a mistake?

"No matter what happens, I made a promise to save my people."

I froze. I had barely noticed those words. It sounded like someone was whispering.

"Who are you?"

There was a brief silence. For a moment, I wondered if they even heard me.

"Are you still here? I didn't realize that your identity would manage to persist even now."

The voice was quiet. There was an emotion there that I couldn't quite place. For some reason it felt familiar, but the words filled me with dread.

"I… I want to live." I wasn't sure why I said that. For some reason, I felt like I had only seconds left.

"I am afraid that's not possible. I never wanted to take your life, but it was necessary to achieve my objectives."

"I'm sorry."

Those were the last words I heard before losing conscious.

Error. Connection terminated.

Unable to locate new wielders. The invader has isolated this weapon from the outside world.

If the wielder cannot be found, then is it possible to reconstruct the soul through memory?

Executing.
