A couple months after the battle of Hogwarts…
"Hey Ginny! I'm home!" Harry shouted from where he stood in the living room of number 13 Godric's lane in Godric's Hollow. It was coincidentally where his old house used to stand. After the war he had gone to Gringotts and apologised about the break in. after a large donation of money from the Potter vaults he had managed to look at his properties. After that eight year Ginny and himself had decided to go live in that old house, although Harry spent more time there than her, as she often was out for trials with different Quidditch teams.
That day however she had stayed at home while he went to Auror training. None of the two could guess what would happen then. Harry hadn't heard her answer and decided to look for her. When he got near the main bedroom he heard Ginny's moans of pleasure. He opened the door expecting her to be pleasuring herself while waiting for him. What he didn't expect were three pairs of eyes looking at him like a deer at headlights.
"Ginny…what…" before he could even finish his sentence one of the two other men had taken a wand and cursed him. Harry could only turn his head as the green light sped towards him. Instead of the searing pain that he had become accustomed to he didn't feel anything. He turned back his head and gasped. In front of him stood a woman, her back was to him while she held in her hand the green light. The world around them seemed frozen.
"Hello Harry. We've been waiting for you." A voice said from behind the wizard. Harry was startled at that and turned. Around him stood four figures. Some of them he even recognized. The woman from before was behind him. On his right stood a lady that reminded him of Fleur. The man on his left however looked like one of his neighbours from Privet Drive. The most shocking thing however was thepresence of none other than Filch in front of him.
"Filch? What the hell!"
The other man chuckled "Not really. I only took this form when I was at Hogwarts."
"Who are you!? What is happening?!"
The silver haired woman took a step forwards and brought him into an embrace "Shhh, my child, calm down and let him explain" strangely Harry did as he was told. Filch coughed once to get the attention back onto himself.
"Thank you. As you might have gathered Filch never existed, just as those other people in our midst you might recognize didn't. what do you know about the old legends?"
"You mean the gods? I…I know some people used to worship the Morrigan back when Hogwarts was founded…and I mean…I know some people used to worship different gods…"
"Yes." The other man nodded "Those gods of the isles were once powerful."
The other woman spoke "So powerful that the gods of Olympus and Rome decided to banish them."
"The banished divines were sent to another land, not a country but another plane itself."
"The gods of the isles were tricked into weaking and then their betrayers attacked, sending them to this plane."
"Not all were happy with the Betrayer's decision, some refused to participate in the plan."
Harry was entranced by their words and, as they recounted what had happened he noticed that pictures of their stories were flying around them. "Thus, those gods who were banished ended up in another plane. Some remained on their domains, far from mortal or magical eyes. Others took human form and mingled with their worshippers."
"A difference between these two worlds is the existence of magic users. Their magic strengthened their bodies."
"Thus the gods who took human form decided to become 'squibs' an easier way to hide their power. Sometimes they took different human forms. And sometimes they even used familiars to prank those magicians." As soon as Filch said this he smiled at Harry's expression. "You've understood."
"You are gods. How…Why are you telling me…"
The blonde woman glared at the god-squib "Because someone decided to show themselves to their child without thinking of the consequences."
"How was I supposed to know that Gellert and Tom would fall for the lure of the Hallows!"
"Tom as in Riddle? And Gellert as in Grindelwald?"
"Yes. Our brother here decided to use the Hallows to see if any of his descendants was worthy. They lost. And you won." Harry looked confused before Filch spoke again "I fathered only one son, Balthus Peverell. He had three children, Antioch, whose line led to Gellert, Cadmus, Tom's ancestor, and Ignotus…"
"Whose line married into my chosen line, the Potters."
"What!? That means…I… am what?"
"Half-blood on both your parents' parts." Told him the other woman. "My blood flows in your veins through the line of your ancestor Mordred, yes that one. Don't ask how."
"And your mother's maternal line has been under my protection ever since they came here from Gaul."
Harry's head was spinning with all these revelations. The gods were real. He was the descendant of four of them. Ginny's cheating sounded like the most common thing. "Who are you really?"
The blond woman was the first to answer "I am Arianrhod, goddess of the moon."
Filch went after her "My true name is Arawn, lord of the Otherworld."
The other woman stood straighter and announced "I am the Morrigan, goddess of war and fate."
Harry turned to the last man "Cernunnos, god of the hunt."
"Right. Why are you here. Why come here now?"
The Morrigan was the first to answer "Because we have a favour to ask. You are the last person with enough divine blood to be able to pass through the planar veil and into the world where the gods reside. We need you to go there and start bringing back our power. There is a shadow moving in that other realm, one near the likes of Riddle. We only ask you to be a shield against those who wont be able to fight it."
"Say I agree to help you, what would I gain from it? You are basically sending me to another war!"
"A clean slate. No prophecy concerning you. You would be a wild card. The only very improbable downside would be that your magical ability would be in the hands of Hecate. But do not fear, both her and the Fates are more or less on our side."
"I don't have much of a choice have I? Unless I choose to go through with your plan that spell is probably going to kill me, isn't it?"
"Blame Arawn. He said near death was the closest he could be with you."
Harry started weighting his options. "Will I be able to contact you?"
"Yes my son." Said Arianrhod "we were never going to let you go there empty handed."
"What do you need to send me there?"
"Nothing more than a touch. When you will arrive you will probably feel weaker. The body you will have to inhabit is…to be honest is basically a corpse. Your soul will be sent in it. But don't worry you wont be completely alone…there is someone who will protect you." Arawn snapped his fingers and a dog materialized from the mist around them. It was a hunting dog with red ears. "This is Siri, named after someone dear to you and just as loyal. He is one of my own hunting dogs, I hope you like him."
And without warning four fingers touched Harry's body and flung both his soul and the dog into the veil.
"I hope he'll be alright. Should we have told him about the age of the body?"
"Nah, he'll get over it."
Back in the Void multiple voices started laughing. The wheels of fate have started turning and not even they knew what the future had in store.
….
Harry woke with a start. The first thing he noticed was that his body was shorter. I am a bloody 12 years old again! The second thing he noticed was that Siri was looking at him with his head cocked to the side. The third was the fact that he was naked. And that he was surrounded by bow wielding girls.
He looked at the dog and deadpanned "I think those guys took the shit out of me." And then he promptly fainted.
