You made sure to take in your surroundings to the best of your abilities while you held on to Aragorn on his fast moving horse. The forest was dark and felt endless around you. The sky was not visible through all the branches above your heads. In a way, it was suffocating feeling. You felt certain you had never been in a forest as dense as this. You could hear various animals in the tree branches overhead, at times you could have sworn you had seen the eyes of something quickly chasing you through the trees.

Aragorn rode to a fancy looking gate that was guarded by two elves and got off the horse. After getting himself onto the ground, he helped you down.

'My, how gentlemanly,' you thought. The elves approached Aragorn and started speaking in hushed murmurs. You could catch a few words here and there and from their glaces in your direction you could tell they were talking about you. It wasn't unexpected, you'd be talking about yourself too if you could remember anything solid. All your memories consisted of now were vague feelings and knowledge about just about everything except for yourself and other people.

"Well, m'lady," Aragorn said cheerily, "we are going to see the king!" It was false cheer, you could tell. He was trying to lift your spirits though he felt a little suspicious of you.

One of the guards led the way beyond the gate and into the cave system. It was very elaborate and you looked in awe at the architecture. Sadly, you didn't have much time to take it all in as you were whisked away with Aragorn to see the Elvenking.

The Elvenking sat upon a very kingly and majestic looking throne. His crown was elegant and pointy. His face was fair, you thought he look very handsome. Except for one thing... his eyebrows. They were a bit too thick for your liking. He gazed at you keenly, he had been told about you briefly before you arrived.

"So... they say you can't remember a thing. Is that correct miss...?" he inquired.

"That is correct," you answered, frowning slightly at the fact his question was more pointed towards getting you to reveal your name. He asked many questions of you like how you could remember how to fight, how you were able to understand the elvish tongues, which even you had been mildly surprised at when you discovered it. You answered his questions honestly, hoping that he wouldn't think you a spy. But since you had no explanation for anything, you did not have much hope.

The Elvenking asked Aragorn about how he found you and what he knew about you. Aragorn vouched for you. Then the king sat silent for a bit, considering all that was said. He gazed at you and there was a few moments of uncomfortable eye contact. You wanted to look away but you felt as though you couldn't. It lasted for what felt like several very long minutes but was in reality only about 10 seconds.

"Legolas, take her to her quarters," the king uttered in his monotone. You were scared as a young fair elf led you away down several long corridors. You thought you were certainly heading for the dungeons and whatever horrors lay down there, horrors of which you felt were most likely large spiders like those you had fought in the forest.

"Here we are," said Legolas with a slight smile as he opened a door. You were surprised to see it wasn't a cell but a well furnished room!
