"Fox's Mate"

Here is a Yu Yu Hakusho and Digimon crossover. Please enjoy and review!

Down the street, Sora Takenouchi and Daisuke Motomiya were both walking dressed in their tennis and soccer uniforms, the orangette holding her racket while the mahogany haired girl was spinning her soccer ball on her finger.

Daisuke's family had been killed in a car crash, so Sora's mom adopted her and the three women moved off to a different town.

Sora was in her senior year while Daisuke is in her freshman year, the two girls meeting the class president named Suichi Minamino, who was a very pretty male with long rose red hair and emerald green eyes.

He had helped the girls around the large school, Daisuke pouted mostly about the pink uniform the girls had to wear while the boys wore purple.

It made no sense at all why the uniforms were like that and the two sisters wondered if the founder of the school was a woman for choosing the colors or maybe a gay man since a male who was straight would choose normal colors and the girls' uniforms would have skirts that were far short or would be able to be flipped up easily by the breeze unlike their pink uniforms.

The two girls had found their own friends to spend time with, but Daisuke preferred spending more time with Suichi who was also happy to have her around him.

She amused him with how sweet she seemed and then there were moments where she was hissy like a kitten when something got on her nerves.

Present time, the children of Love and Miracles were talking about their practises they had and when their match and game were going to be coming up when Daisuke felt as if she were being watched.

Sora saw the look on her sister's face and frowned.

"Daisuke, what's wrong?" she asked the younger girl.

"I don't know. Just a weird feeling." Daisuke responded.

Unknown to them, they were being watched by a demon who had a small bomb that would be used to kill the child of Miracles and also the child of Love just for game.

Suichi, who is really a demon named Kurama, was off in a martial arts tournament where he was fighting to stop evil demons from getting the prize.

One of his opponents had found out that he had two weaknesses.

His human mother, Shiori and the human he chose as his potential mate, Daisuke.

The demon's brother was watching her to see when to plant the bomb on her while his brother beat Kurama in the fight since he was scared for Daisuke's life.

The blue skinned demon slowly crept in the shadows as he watched the two girls, the scene being shown on the screen of the Dark Tournament.

Kurama watched with his arms crossed behind his back, worry in his green eyes.

"OK, someone is following us." Daisuke said as she stopped walking.

"Are you sure you're not just being paranoid?" Sora asked her adopted sister.

"Hey, I am not paranoid! Ken used to stalk me when he was the Digimon Emperor, remember?" Daisuke retorted.

"True, but how do you know someone else is following us?" Sora asked.

The demon then jumped out of the shadows, the two Digidestinds turning to him in shock at the sight of him.

He was blue skinned with curved ears, yellow eyes with red irises and had fangs while he was dressed in a black trench coat, green pants and brown boots.

"Hello, ladies." He sneered.

"You were saying?" Daisuke asked looking smug while Sora gave her an apologetic smile.

"What do you want with us?" Sora asked as the girls glared at the demon.

"Well, my brother wants me to kill Kurama's mate." He said pointing at Daisuke.

"Mate? Mate?! I'm no one's mate!" she yelled at him as her eyes glowed from orange to blue and finally gold.

"Do you even know what he means by 'mate'?" the child of Love asked.

"…Who's Kurama anyway?" Daisuke chose to ignore the question making Sora shake her head with an amused smile.

"I believe you know him as…Suichi." The demon said.

The girls gasped as they shared a look, then their eyes narrowed as Daisuke's chocolate eyes turned orange and Sora's wine colored eyes turned into a bright red color.

"Let's torch his ass." Daisuke said.

"Gladly." Sora agreed.

The demon looked confused by that, but then he was stunned when they both had flames dancing around them.

The powers of Courage and Love gave them the ability to control fire, while the power of Friendship gave Daisuke and Matt control over lightning and the power of Miracles allowed Daisuke to do just about anything, but she preferred using the other two.

The demon dropped the small bomb as he turned to run away, but the girls shot out fireballs at him, making him burst into ash.

Back at the tournament, the demons were all gasping in shock at what happened, Koenma being so surprised that he dropped his mangu since he didn't know anything about these two girls.

"Whoa, who are those girls?" Kuwabara asked.

"The human girls that Kurama always followed. I knew there was something off about them." Hiei commented as Kuwabara looked at him in confusion.

Kurama smiled in relief, but knew he was going to get it from the mahogany haired spitfire when he got back home for keeping a secret that almost got the girls killed.

Daisuke walked over to where the small bomb was and picked it up, looking it over.

"This guy was gonna blow us up." She noted as Sora walked over.

"Come on, let's get back home. I'm sure Izzy can look this over for us." Sora said.

Then, she looked up at a tree where a camera with bat wings was positioned looking at them.

"I think we're being spied on." She said as Daisuke stood up and looked at the camera.

"Not for long." She said as her eyes turned to blue and she sent out a blast of lightning.

"Shot circuit it, don't destroy it!" Sora called.

The camera fell out of the tree, while it cut off the link to the monitor at the Dark Tournament.

Sora and Daisuke then brought these items to Izzy, who with the power of Knowledge was able to control all types of technological devices.

Cody also had this ability while with the power of Reliability, he and Joe could heal any and all injuries.

When Izzy was done and told them what he found out, he was able to redirect the camera to go back to the tournament at Hanger Neck Island so they could see what was going on.

Daisuke was stunned to see Suichi or Kurama as he was called by the annoying fox girl that looked more like a cat and the demons, fighting with plants and then Kurama turned into a man with gold eyes that were narrowed like a cat's while his hair was silver and he had white fox ears and a tail while his clothing were all white.

He was a very beautiful male, but Daisuke was going to tear him limb from limb when he came back home.

(Two weeks later…)

Kurama walked over to the flower shop that had some people living in the upper level where the apartment was located.

He knew that Daisuke knew something about him and she would go after him to find out the truth, so he might as well tell her.

After all, she also kept a few secrets since he saw her shoot out those flames and bolt of lightning out of her hands, her eyes changing colors when she did so.

Koenma had went to work to find out more about these girls, still in disbelief that he didn't know anything about these humans before when they had these strange powers.

The redhead walked inside of the shop and spotted Daisuke placing some of the flower pots down where the sunlight was streaming in from the windows to help the flowers grow.

Smiling at her, he walked over to the girl as she looked over to see him, quirking her eyebrow at him.

"Hello Daisuke, it's lovely to see you again." He greeted.

"Can it, fox boy." She snapped.

"Yes, I see you've found out about my true nature." He said.

"You have a lot to explain." Daisuke crossed her arms.

"Yes, as do you. Where shall we start?" he asked.

"What's your real name?" she asked immediately.

"Youko Kurama." He answered.

"And you're a what exactly?" she whispered, eyes darting around discreetly to make sure no one was spying on them.

She was wise that way to make sure their secrets were kept between only them.

"A fox demon. I died when I was 2000 years old. I spent those years as a criminal stealing ancient artifacts and precious jewels while living in the Makai otherwise known as Demon World. A bounty hunter finally ended my life 16 years ago, but my spirit found its way into the soulless fetus of a human woman so that I could survive." He explained.

She looked down at that, unsure of how to feel with this new information and his smile dropped allowing himself to show he was a bit upset that she wouldn't want anything to do with him now.

He took her hand in his making her look up at him curiously.

"I admit, when I was a demon, I grew up cruel and cared only for myself. I did many things I am now ashamed of. But my human mother helped me. She raised me and treated me with love which my real mother never did. You also helped me when I met you. I had once thought that human females were obsessive and care only about looks, but you proved me wrong and became my friend. Won't you please give me another chance to prove myself?" he asked.

Sighing at this, Daisuke looked up at him so that he could see the emotions shining in her eyes as she tried to sort them out.

She had gone through trying to decide whether or not she could trust Ken and gave him a second chance and she had never regretted her decision, but then again, Ken is human.

Kurama grew a bit worried as she just kept quiet, but then relaxed when her lips curved up.

"Cross me and I'll kill you." she warned.

He smiled at her and nodded in agreement as Sora walked over to them with a spray bottle for the plants in her hands.

"Is everything OK here?" she asked.

"Yeah, it's fine. Fox boy spilled his guts. Now it's our turn." Daisuke said.

"Good thing the others are upstairs." Sora said placing the bottle down.

"Let's go." Daisuke said.

Kurama followed the two females upstairs to find all of the Chosen Children were waiting on them, Tai sitting on the couch eating chips while Matt was strumming his guitar.

Once the two girls walked in with the demon, everyone looked up at them.

"Right, everyone meet Kurama the fox demon. He's good, don't worry about it." Daisuke assured as she sat down in a chair while Kurama stood at her side.

"Hey." Kari chirped.

"So should we tell him about us?" TK asked.

Everyone looked around the room, then settled their gazes on the mahogany haired girl who nodded making them all relax and smile.

"Why not?" Joe shrugged.

"We're the Digidestinds. First generation and second. We first generations received our Crests which represent our most powerful virtues. The second generation inherited our Crests, but two members of the second generation have their own Crests as well. Over the years, the Crests gave us powers." Izzy explained.

"I'm Tai, the leader of the first generation. My Crest is Courage which gives me power over fire."

"My Crest is Love and it gives me power over fire as well." Sora explained.

"Matt, my Crest of Friendship gives me power of lightning."

"TK, Matt's brother. My Crest of Hope gives me the power to teleport."

"I'm Mimi; my Crest is Sincerity which gives me power over plants. A bit like you, huh?" she grinned.

Kurama smiled at that.

"Yeah, only you can't make weapons. I'm Ken; my Crest is Kindness which gives me power to phase through solid surfaces."

"I'm Kari, Tai's sister. I have the Crest of Light which allows me to astral project and use telekinesis."

"I'm Joe and I would have been Daisuke's brother-in-law if her sister hadn't been killed. My Crest of Reliability allows me to heal even the most fatal injury."

"And I'm Izzy, my Crest of Knowledge gives me the power over technology."

"Finally, our turn. I'm Yolei, I inherited the Crests of Love and Sincerity so I have power over fire and plants. Weird combo, I know." She shrugged.

"My name is Cody; I inherited the Crests of Knowledge and Reliability. Yes, I have the same powers as Joe and Izzy."

"As for me, I inherited the Crests of Courage and Friendship, but I also have a Crest of my own. It's called Miracles which allows me to go above and beyond which means I can do whatever I want like make gold or compel others to do as I say." Daisuke explained.

"But she's mature enough to not abuse her powers." TK said.

"Which is a huge surprise to all of us since she was a total immature brat when she was younger." Yolei muttered.

Kari rolled her eyes as she flicked her finger making the lavender haired girl fall out of her seat while Tai chuckled at that.

"Speaking of immature." Joe sighed.

Kurama chuckled at this as he created a chair out of his plants much to everyone's amazement as he then sat down in the sturdy structure.

"It's a pleasure to meet everyone. I hope you don't mind my telling you this, but the Prince of Spirit World is trying to find out more information on you." he informed.

"Wait, there's a Demon World and Spirit World?" Daisuke asked.

"What? OK, so what do we do about this Prince guy? Do we meet with him?" Matt asked.

"Sure, we'll meet with him." Ken said.

He then looked over to Daisuke who caught on to what he meant and smiled at him, their eyes flashing gold and amethyst.

"They're doing it again." Mimi chimed.

"Please elaborate." Kurama said.

"Ken and Daisuke have this way of being able to read each other's minds. It's weird, but it helps." Tai chuckled.

Kurama nodded in understanding as Daisuke and Ken held each other's hands, then transformed into a swirl of gold dust which made everyone watch as they left.

Ken and Daisuke both appeared in the office of the Prince of Spirit World which made the toddler jump in surprise at the sudden appearance as the two Chosen Children looked over at him.

"What the-?! You two can't just barge in here like this! You need to make an appointment!" Koenma yelled.

"Shut up." Daisuke scoffed.

"Mister Koenma, I hate to bother you, but the fact is we aren't ordinary humans. We were given these powers by a powerful god called Azulongmon. You have no power over us whatsoever, therefor you cannot control us." Ken stated.

"So step off and leave us alone. If you want more information on us, ask Azulongmon himself." Daisuke placed her hands on her hips as she glared at the Prince.

With that done, Ken placed his hand on her shoulder and she shimmered away and back to the Takenouchi home.

Koenma blinked at this, but then frowned as he pressed a button to buzz in George his ogre to get as much information he could on Azulongmon.

When he got all of the documents, he realized that the two Chosen Children were right about what they said.

He had no right to try and control them and he really didn't want to start a war between the Digital World and the Human World, so he gave up on wanting to have the Chosen Children help on some cases.

(Three years later…)

Daisuke was tending to a garden that was outside of the house, smiling as she plucked the weeds away.

She hadn't seen Kurama or his other friends Yusuke, Hiei, Yukina, Keiko, Shizuru and Kuwabara for a few years since they were all busy, but she respected them for that, though she did them dearly, especially Kurama.

As she was working, she didn't notice someone step up behind her with a smile curving their lips as he saw how beautiful she had become over the years, even growing her hair out.

Spotting a budded flower, he allowed some of his youki to enter it and it grew large making Daisuke look at it in awe as she turned to see the fox demon had returned.

She smiled at him which made Kurama return it as he walked over to the girl, cupping her face in his hands.

"Hello again." He greeted.

"Hi. So what took you so long to come back?" she asked.

"I've been busy training and meeting with old acquaintances of mine. Then there was helping Yusuke save the world yet again." He answered.

"Well, at least you have a good reason for it." Daisuke said.

She then walked into the house, Kurama following her inside as they went to the kitchen, the young woman washing her hands in the sink as the fox smiled at her.

He walked up behind her and wrapped his arm around her waist making her smile up at him as the fox planted kisses along her neck, over her mating mark.

After Koenma had decided to leave the Chosen Children alone, Kurama had begun courting Daisuke and soon enough claimed her as his mate.

Smiling, Daisuke turned around and kissing her fox back, Kurama running his fingers through her hair lovingly as he kissed her, tongue prodding her lips and she allowed him entrance.

As he went to pull her top off, she teleported out of his arms making him blink his emerald eyes curiously as he looked over to see his mate sitting at the table with a smirk.

"You've been gone for years. Right now, we're gonna do things my way and I say I want to play with Youko." She said.

Kurama chuckled knowing his other self was leaping in joy since their mate hardly ever wanted to play with the silver fox who enjoyed…playing with her far too much.

"If you wish." Kurama said.

Slowly, his eyes turned gold as his form grew taller, his face becoming more angular as his hair turned silver and he grew out his matching ears and tail.

Daisuke smiled at him as she walked over and wrapped her arms around the legendary thief's shoulders, Youko smirking down at her as he made a low rumbling purr in his throat as he nuzzled his nose to her neck, taking in her scent.

"Come now my dear. Let's go have some fun." He purred seductively in her ear making her giggle.

She gave a gleeful shriek as the fox scooped her up in his arms and went off to the bedroom with his little mate.

The end.
