"Secrets"
Here is a Daiei for suntan10. Please enjoy and review!
Yolei was frowning as she sat in the park with Kari, TK, Cody and Ken as they waited on Daisuke to arrive so that they could spend some time as a group like they had in the past before they all became busy with their own things.
TK was focused more on basketball and his writing skills while Kari worked on the newspaper as the photographer, Cody was on the kendo team, Ken was on the debate team, Yolei was the student body president and Daisuke was of course the captain of the soccer team, but she also worked hard on her cooking in home economics.
"Where is she?" Yolei asked for the third time.
"She should be here soon." Ken said.
"She's not going to show up." Yolei growled as she looked around.
"What makes you say that?" Kari asked.
"Are you kidding me? She has been blowing us off for a while now." The lavender haired girl said.
It was true, Daisuke had been doing this with many times and it was getting on their nerves, but they let it go since she always apologized with small gifts that they all loved.
Not only that, but they noticed a new necklace that she wore and played with constantly as a fond smile grew on her lips.
It was a simple red pearl that was on a thin gold chain and she had it on all of the time, so it made them wonder where she had gotten it since they didn't know red pearls existed.
Just then, TK's phone rang and he pulled the green I-phone out and answered it.
"Hey, Daisuke. Where are you?" he asked.
The others gathered around him which made the blonde scowl.
"Uh, sorry. Can you wait a moment?" he asked then pulled the phone and away from his ear as he pushed the speaker button.
"OK, say it again." TK said.
"I can't make it today. I've have got something important I gotta do." Came the girl's voice.
"What?!" Yolei shrieked.
"Gee, TP, next time warn me that I was put on speaker. That way I can pull the phone away from my ear so a certain banshee doesn't try to make me deaf." Daisuke joked.
"Daisuke, why can't you make it this time?" Cody asked.
"I told you, I have something else to do. I'm really sorry, but I promise to tell you later, OK? I gotta go. Bye!" she said and then hung up.
"Great, now what?" Kari asked as TK hung up and put his I-phone away.
Yolei then stood up with a confident look which made the others worry.
"We're going to follow her and see what she's been doing." She said oozing confidence.
The others all groaned at this since they knew this wouldn't end well when Daisuke found them all spying on her.
(Later on…)
Daisuke was walking down the street dressed in a red tube top, jean shorts and red convers with that necklace still on as her hair was pulled up into a messy bun while her bangs were free in her face.
Yolei was following her with Kari and TK since Cody and Ken had refused to go with them knowing this way they could escape their leader's wrath.
"Wow, she looks…happy. Really happy." TK pointed out while Yolei shushed him.
The trio watched as Daisuke walked into an ice cream shop, so they followed and looked in to see her sitting down at a table where a man with black hair that shot up in spikes except for his bangs was sitting.
He also had a white star burst around his bangs while his skin was tanned and his eyes were sharp with scarlet irises that matched Daisuke's pearl perfectly.
He seemed to be half a foot shorter than her, but he had a strong body under his brown jacket and black shirt that showed off a bit of his chest, jeans and heavy combat boots while he wore a white bandana under his bangs.
"Wow, who is that guy?" Kari asked as she blinked her cherry eyes.
"Who knows? But Daisuke seems to know him." TK pointed out.
"What are you guys doing?" Someone asked making the trio jump.
Matt had spotted them and so he walked over to see what they were staring at so intently.
"Oh, well, Daisuke canceled on us again so we wanted to see why." TK explained to his brother.
"And the reason you're at an ice cream shop is?" Matt asked.
"Look!" Yolei said as she pointed at the window.
Curious, Matt walked over and looked inside of the window and was surprised to see that Daisuke was sharing an ice cream sundae with a strange male that seemed to be a few years older than her.
If Tai were here, he would charge right into the shop and demand to know who the guy that was with his successor.
Matt and Tai were both protective over the girl, but the child of Friendship was more cool headed when she was around boys and would make them uncomfortable with his eyes while Tai would be all up in their face.
"Who is that guy?" Matt asked.
"No idea, but we think he's the reason Daisuke hasn't been spending any time with us." TK said.
"If she's on a date, I can understand why." Kari said.
Tai, Matt and Yolei wouldn't leave her alone if they found out about this.
The two older males would do this out of love, but Yolei would do it just because she loved to get involved in other people's business and make them her own.
(Inside the ice cream parlor…)
"So how has Yukina been? I haven't seen her in a while." Daisuke said.
"She's been fine. As shocking as it is, she's now dating…Kuwabara." Hiei said with a shine of dislike in his eyes.
The mahogany haired girl was trying not to laugh since she knew how much Kuwabara and Hiei fought, so the fact that the large orange haired male was dating his sister was troubling for Hiei.
It was cute though to Daisuke, Botan and Keiko because they loved how protective Hiei was over Yukina especially after he told her the truth about being her long lost brother she was looking for.
Yukina was happy about this and hugged him when he told her much to the surprise of Hiei while everyone else just smiled at the sight, though Kuwabara did faint from the news.
"Aw, that's sweet. Hey, look on the bright side; if he breaks her heart, then as her brother, you have full permission to kill him." Daisuke offered.
Hiei gave a small grin at that, but then his eyes flickered over to the window where he saw a group of teenagers watching them or to be specific, Daisuke.
"It appears your human friends are spying on us." He announced.
Shooting up straight in her street, she went to turn to see them, but stopped as she just pulled a seed out of her pocket and let it grow into a mirror that had roses around the sides.
Moving it to the side, she frowned as she saw Matt, Yolei, Kari and TK were staring at them.
The mirror then turned back into a seed.
"I can't believe those guys are actually spying on me. They'll be lucky if I don't slice them all up." She growled as she leaned on the table.
Hiei smirked as he knew that the humans were in trouble.
He had first met Daisuke when she was visiting her cousin Yusuke Urameshi and when he had seen how close the two seemed, he kidnapped her to get the rest of the Darkness tools from the Spirit Detective, but she had fought and cursed at him as he captured her.
Even when he was fighting Yusuke, the girl kept on yelling and wouldn't shut up so he slashed at her forehead to turn her into one of his demon minions, but he was defeated and she was saved.
Then there came the time when the Dark Tournament come up, so she went with Botan, Keiko and Shizuru to go see what the boys were doing.
Kurama had taken the mahogany haired girl under his wing and taught her about plants and how to use them as weapons with her Spirit Energy and she loved the lessons.
"OK, we might as well get this over with." Daisuke said as she stood up and grabbed the fire demon's arm and dragged him out of the ice cream parlor with her.
They walked outside, the group seeing this and tried to sneak away, but were stopped when a flower grew from the side of the building and tripped Yolei making them all stop, TK helping the girl up.
"What are you guys doing and give me one good reason on why I shouldn't kill you here and now?" Daisuke demanded.
Matt, TK, Kari and Yolei all slowly turned to see the girl was leaking out killing intent while Hiei was just standing behind her smirking at them, enjoying the fact that they were soon going to pay.
"Because we're your friends." Matt offered.
Daisuke just kept glaring at them all.
"Because you love us." Yolei grinned trying to save herself.
"Because we're in public." TK added in.
"Hn. She can always kill you in your sleep or just drag you off into the forest area to do away with you. Frankly, I'm tempted to see which way she'll go about exacting your punishment." Hiei mused.
This made the four teenagers go pale as they stared at their friend wondering if she would do that as she glared at them.
"Yeah, well, she's in the wrong too." Yolei said getting her nerve back.
"How do you figure?" Daisuke asked in a chilling tone that made TK and Kari hide behind Matt and truth be told, Yolei also wanted to hide.
"You have a boyfriend you've been blowing us off for." Yolei pointed at Hiei who gave her a cold glare.
"Yeah, your point?" Daisuke asked.
"Hn. I don't understand why you waste your time on such insolent people." Hiei scoffed as he walked up beside her.
"Hiei, do try to be more polite." A silky voice spoke.
Matt, TK, Yolei and Kari all looked over to see a red headed male with green eyes had walked up along with a raven haired male who had the same large brown eyes as Daisuke and an orange haired male.
Hiei simply folded his arms over his chest while Daisuke turned to smile at the males, the raven walking over and patted her head.
"So you weren't kidding when ya said your friends were snoopy, eh, coz?" he joked.
"No kidding. Guys, this is my cousin Yusuke Urameshi, this is Kazuma Kuwabara, Shuichi Minamino and this is my boyfriend, Hiei Jaganashi. Happy now?" Daisuke retorted.
"Boyfriend?!" the Digidestinds cried out in shock.
"Wow, you didn't tell them yet?" Kuwabara asked.
"It was none of their business. Besides, I was planning on telling them next week when the entire group was together." Daisuke amended.
Kurama shook his head in amusement at the girl as she looked over at the group in slight annoyance while Hiei wrapped an arm around her waist.
The truth was now out or at least the partial truth.
They had no idea how her friends were going to handle the fact that demons existed or that she was being trained by one and was also dating one, soon to becoming his mate.
"OK, I want to state this now that this entire thing was Yolei's idea and her fault." TK pointed at the lavender haired girl.
"Hey!" Yolei exclaimed in outrage.
"Well, it is your fault." Kari agreed making the taller girl pout.
Matt sighed at this as he looked over to his successor to see how happy she looked as she rested her head down on Hiei's.
He supposed that as long as she was happy, then he would talk Tai down from wanting to go on a murderous rampage.
"Can we all at least talk this over?" Matt suggested.
"I don't see why not. Come on, I'm starving." Yusuke grinned.
Kurama walked over and held his arm out for Kari, the girl blushing lightly at the gentlemanly behaviour of the redhead and linked her arm with his.
"Very well, let's go." The fox demon smiled at the child of Light.
Yolei pouted jealously at Kari being led off by the beautiful male, but shook it off as she followed the group.
"Man, first Daisuke and now Kari. Tai's not gonna take this too well." Matt sighed as the group walked off.
The end.
