Dai had just come out of the shower, cleaning up after the school day was done and there were no more survival duels to deal with for that day which was just fine with her.

She was a bit nervous about going on this date with Jesse tonight though, it was her first date even though Kazemon and Ranamon insisted that when Zane invited her to have dinner with him once in the Obelisk dorms had counted as a date.

Drying herself off, Dai just grabbed a pair of jean shorts and black spaghetti strapped top to wear like she always did and had on her Crest of Miracles and her Eye of Horus bracelet that had once been a necklace, but was converted into a golden band that had the black tear drop shaped gem with the Eye on it placed onto the band so that she wouldn't lose it like she had once before when flying on XV-Mon around the island to search for Syrus.

V-Mon handed Dai her hair brush and she started to get the small tangled out of her wet hair while the dragon just watched her.

"Are you nervous about your date?" he asked.

"Oh, yeah." She said.

"I bet he's nervous too. Mikemon told me that he never dated anyone either and isn't sure what to do or how to act." V-Mon explained.

"Seriously?" Dai asked feeling a bit better, but also found it sweet.

"Mm-hmm, so Baby Dragon and Ruby started talking. I'm not sure what they came up with, but they're excited for it." V-Mon explained.

Baby Dragon then appeared and cooed happily with a smile.

"You know, you two have been spending a lot of time with Ruby Carbuncle and Mikemon. Will there be two more new couples at Duel Academy?" Dai teased the two dragons making them blush.

"Maybe." V-Mon said with a hopeful look in his scarlet eyes that made the child of Miracles smile at him softly.

Kazemon then appeared along with Ranamon while Lobomon and Agunimon were whining in misery at the fact that their Master was now dating.

They had always treated her like she was more like their baby sister much like Matt and Tai, but were far worst since they were with her everywhere she went.

"Come on now, suga, time ta make ya look beautiful for this country cutie." The Warrior of Water said as she took the hairbrush.

She started brushing the mahogany hair while Kazemon used her wind to lightly blow dry Dai's hair so that she would be ready in time when Jesse arrived.

"Hey, do you think I should be nervous?" Dai asked with a blush.

"Well, it is your first date, so having butterflies in your stomach is natural, especially since you really like this guy." The Warrior of Wind told her.

Ranamon and Kazemon finished with the hair and left it down around Dai's shoulders and the girl then stood up to check her reflection to see if she saw anything wrong with it, but thankfully there was nothing.

"You know, I don't know how I'd survive without you guys. You're always there for me." she commented as she smiled at all 11 of her Warriors as they stood in the room.

"Ah, come on, you got along fine without us." Arbourmon waved his hand dismissively even though he was smiling.

"Lady Daisuke, I'm sure even without us, you would be perfectly fine. Thou shan't sell thyself short." Mercurymon said.

"I don't know. It would feel weird not having you guys with me. You're all a part of me now and my family. It would be like I was torn in half if I ever lost you." Dai confessed as she sat down at her vanity.

V-Mon smiled softly at the girl while everyone else watched her feeling touched, even Duskmon who had known her for the shortest amount of time.

Sighing, Lobomon stood up and walked over to the girl making her look up at him with wide chocolate brown eyes.

"There is something we should tell you. You have the ability to break our bond." The Warrior of Light said.

Agunimon gasped as he looked at his best friend in shock that he would reveal such a thing while the others all looked guilty at keeping the secret when Dai glanced around the room at them in shock.

"What? But we have a soul bond. I thought something that powerful could never be broken." Dai said feeling confused and upset at this revelation.

"Lobomon, drop it. This isn't something she should know now." Agunimon said as he walked over.

"No. She needs to know." Lowemon spoke up.

It was silent then.

"So, can someone explain?" V-Mon asked.

Duskmon nodded as he stepped up as everyone looked at him.

"If the time comes when you decide to release us from our contract, all you need to say is your full name and then say that you release the 11 Legendary Warriors from the soul bond." The Tainted Warrior explained.

"That sounds really easy." V-Mon blinked.

"It sound easy, but really painful." Grumblemon wagged his finger in the air.

"Painful?" Dai asked.

"You will have 22 Spirits being extracted from your soul. It may or not cause you any permanent damage, but it will weaken your body and cause you great pain when we are extracted." Mercurymon explained.

"We're not telling you this to get rid of us. Honestly, we all love being with you." Kazemon smiled.

"Yeah, you're so wonderful." Ranamon said as the fairy and nymph hugged the girl.

"But this is something for you to keep in mind if one day you want us to leave you to live your own life." The Warrior of Light said.

"I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for telling me. But I don't think I'll ever want to get rid of you unless you want to return to your human partners." Dai smiled at them.

Everyone smiled back at that and then there was a knock on the door as Ruby Carbuncle appeared in the room, mewing as she went over to the Slifer Queen.

"Ruby, what are you doing in here?" she asked gathering the feline in her arms.

Baby Dragon rasped happily at Ruby who cooed at him and then pounced on him.

The Warriors all faded away as V-Mon went over to the door and Dai quickly applied a coat of strawberry flavoured lip balm to her lips.

V-Mon opened the door to reveal Mikemon who walked in with a smile as Jesse stood outside dressed in a blue t-shirt and a pair of clean jeans while he wore tan boots, his teal colored Crest of Trust glimmering in the light.

"Hey, Dai, ya ready to go?" he asked with a blush on his cheeks.

"Yeah, let's get going. V-Mon, are you going to be okay here alone?" she asked her dragon.
"He won't be alone. I'll keep him company and make sure he doesn't destroy anything." Mikemon winked making V-Mon blush.

Chuckling at that, Dai walked outside and closed the door behind her as she walked down the stairs with Jesse.

From the corner of her eyes, she saw Syrus and Hasselberry staring at the window at the duo as they went out for their date.

"So, where are we going?" Dai asked.

"Be patient." Jesse responded as he held her hand making her face turn pink.

He turned to her and admired the way her hair turned purple in the darkness and he then pulled her along with him to the perfect spot he found for their date.

As they walked, the child of Trust spoke more about himself, telling Dai about his Australian father Valon, who happened to be another person the girl's parents, Josephine Wheeler and Yugi Muto, knew.

Mai Valentine, his mother, got married to Valon and they then moved to Texas and lived there for ten years which was where Jesse picked up his accent.

Then he went into how he got Mikemon, which was when he was 11 years old.

He had been in his room practicing his dueling skills with his father when his computer then started to beep and a large white egg with orange and brown markings came out along with a digivice.

It soon hatched after three days and out came a YukimiBotamon, then six months afterwards she digivolved into Nyaromon, two weeks later she became Salamon and then a year later when he was being picked on by a group of thugs, she digivolved into Mikemon and beat them up.

Jesse had a fond look in his jade eyes as he spoke of how close they got to each other over their time together, then asked Dai about why she was so protective over Jaden.

This had her confess that they were always harassed and Jaden always played the role of a big brother by drying her tears and making her smile even though he was in as much pain as she was from the beatings from the kids.

Then one day the beatings got really bad and Jaden's arm was broken by an older kid right in front of Dai and something inside of her snapped.

She then started fighting back, attacking the boy who hurt her cousin and warned him to never come after them again.

After that, she asked her mother to teach her how to fight since Joey used to be in a gang when she was a teenager before she became friends with Yugi.

They arrived at the beach and Dai was surprised when she saw that a picnic blanket had been laid out for them, there were candles lit and a meal was waiting for them.

"Wow, did you really set this up?" she asked walking over to it.

"Well, yeah, but I had a little help. I actually called my Mom for some ideas. Mostly, she was excited that I was dating Joey's daughter. After all, my mom and yours used to be good friends." Jesse rubbed the back of his head nervously.

"This looks great. Let's eat." Dai smiled at him as she sat down.

"Sure." He nodded as he joined her.

They both then started eating the fruits and sandwiches that Jesse had made for them, enjoying the food and company as they ate in comfortable silence.

"So, we got the private details out of the way, what else do we talk about?" Jesse asked as he cleared the trash away into the picnic basket he brought

"Hmm, I'm not sure. I guess we could look at the stars." Dai said as she glanced at the sky.

The navy night sky was glittering with stars while a crescent moon was reflecting in the ocean.

Jesse stretched and laid down on the blanket, arms folded behind his head as he did so.

"Sounds like a great idea to me." he sighed.

Yawning softly, Dai moved next to Jesse and then laid down beside him with her hands folded on her stomach as she watched the sky, searching for certain constellations.

"Only when I'm on this island can I ever find the milky way." She sighed as she stared at the array of stars.

"Yeah? I guess it's easier when out in the open like this." Jesse grinned.

Looking at the girl, he saw how peaceful and beautiful she looked with her hair spread out around her head like a halo while her chocolate eyes were still the same color even in the darkness.

Feeling his gaze on her, Dai turned her head in the teal haired boy's direction to see him smiling at her and blushed at how close their faces were.

Their noses were touching and their lips were nearly touching, their breaths mingling together.

Jade and chocolate eyes stared into each other, reading the want in them as the two Digidestinds slowly leaned closer to the other person.

Jesse's hand made its way to the hair he was dying to touch and tangled into the soft locks as Dai's hand was placed on his chest and gripped his shirt as they lips finally met.

Both moaned pleasantly as they lips moved together and Dai curled her body into his as he held her close to him, allowing herself to be vulnerable with him.

He had the Crest of Trust for a reason.

Once oxygen became an issue, they both stopped, but stayed in the same position as they panted lightly, staring into each other's' eyes with soft smiles on their faces.

"Guess that means we're now boyfriend and girlfriend." Jesse smirked in pride at this.

After all, he had wanted her the second he saw her nearly seven years ago when he saved her from Ken who tried to force a kiss on her when he wanted her to be his queen.

Dai giggled at her boyfriend's words as she rested her forehead on his chest, lightly placing a kiss on his exposed skin making him smile and play with her hair.

"We are." She confirmed.

Happy with this, they both just laid there was the warm night breeze blew around them, enjoying the other person's presence.

The Warriors and Crystal Beasts all watched this with happy smiles, V-Mon and Mikemon even sneaking over to check up on their partners, the two digimon holding hands as they watched.

The end.
