"A Day Out"

"Remind me again why I'm doing this?" Davis Motomiya asked.

Currently, he was at the mall with his girlfriend of a year, Yoshi Fujeda and he was carrying three shopping bags and he watched her as she looked over the shoes on display.

"Because you said you wanted us to go out and spend some time together. This is exactly what we're doing now." Yoshi smiled at him.

"Why didn't I see this coming? I should've seen this coming. I have an older sister for pity sake." Davis muttered.

The dark pink haired girl chuckled at her boyfriend as she moved further into the shop and he followed her over to a rack that had dresses hung up on it.

Humming as she looked them over, Yoshi picked up two dresses of the same style, but one was orange and the other was green.

"Which one looks better?" she asked holding them up.

"Green." He said.

"That was fast. I didn't even need to try it on." She said as she turned to the mirror and held up the dress in front of her.

"The orange doesn't look good with your hair and the green looks better with your eyes." Davis said.

Turning back to him, she gave him a curious look which made him blush.

"What? Jun used to drag me out shopping with her all the time and even dressed me up when I was a kid. I learned these things." He pouted.

Yoshi giggled at this as she leaned over and kissed her mahogany haired boyfriend on the cheek making him smile at the girl.

"I think it's cute. Come on; let's go get something to eat. I'm starving." She said.

"Oh, I love a woman who loves to eat." He laughed as they walked out of the shop.

"Why?" she asked linking arms with him.

"Well, it means you're healthy for one thing. Most girls I see who go out with guys just order a salad or pick the fries from their date's order. It's the whole thinking they need to starve themselves thing that I find a total turn off. And girls who are as think as twigs. You at least have a healthy figure." Davis explained.

This made her grin at his ramblings which she found cute.

When they had first met, Davis quickly got along with Marcus and even admired the street fighter for being able to punch out a digimon and it made Tai jealous that his position as role model was being poached.

Thomas had even taken on Ken as his protégée and the plum haired boy was eager to learn whatever he could while Yoshi was happy to talk to the Digidestined girls.

While with the group, Yoshi saw that Davis was always nice to all the girls, never favouring any of them and treated them all as equals, except for Sora who was viewed as more of a sister to him.

It interested Yoshi and she had decided to spend some time with him and he started as a great friend to talk too, though he was a bit silly, but he did that to get other people to forget their problems, even if it meant they were mad at him.

After a while, she slowly started developing feelings for him and Yolei advised her to just go up to him and kiss him because the direct approach would work perfectly on him and it did.

He was stunned speechless and turned nearly the same shade of his hair, but was happy to take her out on a date to the beach which she loved and even Veemon and Lalamon had come for the fun.

"So, what do you want?" Davis asked when they got to the food court.

"Traditional Japanese food or American fast food?" he asked.

Pink eyes roaming around the different restaurant stands, Yoshi decided on one and started pulling him over to it.

"Subway." She chirped.

Laughing at this, Davis let her pull him along as they walked up to the Subway stand and ordered their food, Yoshi carrying the tray with their subs, drinks and chips while Davis still carried the bags and they then walked off to a booth to sit in.

Placing the tray on the table, Yoshi slid into her seat while Davis set the bags down beside his seat before he then sat down and started rubbing his arms.

"Geez, if you keep working me like this, I'm gonna be huge." He joked.

"If that's true, then you'll be able to take out Marcus in a fight." Yoshi commented as she took a sip form her drink.

"No way! No one can take out Marcus. He's awesome." Davis smiled.

Meanwhile, somewhere off in an apartment complex, Tai was gripping his heart in pain and dramatically whining about his awesomeness being stolen from a lousy street fighter while Mimi rolled her eyes at her boyfriend's antics.

"I think you're the first human to ever think that. Anyway, what should we do after this?" Yoshi asked.

Davis unwrapped the paper from his sub as he hummed in thought, then blew his bangs out of his face.

Without the goggles Tai had given him, his bangs and fringes tended to fall in front of his face and he had to flip his hair back or tuck the hair behind his ears.

"We can head back to my place and watch a movie." he suggested.

"And make sure Veemon and Lalamon haven't trashed the place." Yoshi added.

"Don't make me panic." He deadpanned.

After they finished eating, the couple walked off to the Motomiya residence, Davis carrying the bags as he gave Yoshi his key to unlock the door.

Cautiously, they walked inside and blanched at the sight of empty poki packets thrown all over the floor and followed the trail to Veemon and Lalamon who were curled up together on the couch.

They were both snoring away peacefully which made the couple look at each other, then sighed at the mess their partners had made.

"I'm terrified to see the kitchen." Davis groaned.

"Don't worry; I'll help you clean up. This mess is partly Lalamon's fault too. Aw, they're so cute." Yoshi cooed as she watched over the two Rookies cuddling on the couch.

(Twenty minutes later…)

It hadn't taken the two teenagers long to clean up the mess and then they carried the digimon into Davis' room and tucked them into his bed.

Yoshi took a picture of them on her cellphone, then she linked arms with Davis as they went back to the living room and sat down on the couch.

They put on a TV show and sat back to watch it, Yoshi lying her head on her boyfriend's chest as they held hands and Davis ran his fingers through her hair, smiling lovingly down at her.

"So, what do ya wanna do tomorrow?" he asked.

"Hmm, how about we go out for ice cream?" Yoshi suggested.

He nodded at that and went back to watching the TV show and kissed the side of her head every now and then.

The end.
