"Do You Believe in Magic?"

Anyway, I started this last October and haven't finished it until now. Happy Halloween everyone and I hope you enjoy your night whether you're trick or treating, going to a party or just staying in! Please enjoy and review!

It was fall; the air crisp as it was filled with the scent of oak and maple while the trees were filled with leaves the color of yellow, orange and red that burned like fire in the sunset.

Sitting on the park bench under one of the trees was a 16 year old girl with mahogany hair that fell down her back and she was dressed in a black sweater with an emerald green skirt and black suede boots that reached up to her knees.

Around the chocolate eyed girl's neck was an orange crystal pendant that was in the shape of a jack o' lantern that had a smile on its face and the crystal was attached to a gold chain.

The girl was twirling a red maple leaf in her hand, sighing as she leaned back against the bench, waiting for a friend of hers to arrive.

"Man, come on. I'm dying of boredom here." She sighed.

Children were laughing as they ran around, some making leaf piles and jumping into them.

It made her smile softly at the sight of the children and some of the parents who joined in with their children, throwing leaves at each other.

Some little girls were gathering leaves to make a collage with them, comparing them with each other as they tried to see which one was better and less damaged.

While she was watching the children, a 16 year old male with blond hair and sky blue eyes dressed in crème colored pants, white sneakers and a burgundy sweater was sneaking up behind her.

The blond smirked as he saw how interested the mahogany haired girl was in watching the children and he then stood behind her as he placed his hands over her eyes making her jump lightly in surprise.

"Guess who." He teased.

"Wallace, you're late." She stated.

The boy, Wallace, chuckled as the girl removed his hands from her eyes and she pouted up at him.

"Sorry, Dai-chan, but I was shopping with my mom. We're doing some early Thanksgiving shopping." Wallace told her as he moved to sit beside her on the bench, wrapping his arm around her shoulders.

The girl's eyes lit up in recognition of the name for the holiday.

"Ah, right! Is it really that different from the one we celebrate here in Japan?" Daisuke asked.

Wallace grew amused at the wonder in the girl's eyes and he pulled the girl closer into his side to speak with her.

She did love learning new things about different cultures and found them all so interesting, even if they were the smallest things.

"You see, in America, we celebrate the holiday where families get together and eat a home cooked meal. There's turkey, potatoes, yams, pumpkin pie and all sorts of things. Every year my mom and I would make a wreath with the leaves we gathered outside." He smiled.

"It sounds really nice." She laid her head on his shoulder.

The blond smiled down at her as he started to play with her hair, twirling a curl around his finger as they watched the children play with the leaves.

"Do-Do they have a festival too? That's what we do here." Daisuke said as she peered up at him with an almost whimsical look that made him blush.

"Actually, we have parades. There would be large balloons and floats for the kids to enjoy. Mostly though, people stay home with their families. While my mom and grandma would finish cooking, my dad and the rest of us would be out playing football." Wallace explained.

Shaking his head, the blond boy stretched his arms up above his head and then stood, holding a hand out towards the mahogany haired girl.

"Come on. Let's go." He smiled.

Returning the look, the girl reached out and grasped his hand, allowing the boy to pull her up onto her feet.

She leaned against his side as he held her while they walked down the street, enjoying the peacefulness of the autumn day.

They passed by shops that had Halloween decorations strung up and they glanced at them as they passed by.

Halloween had never been popular in Japan until a decade ago when Disney World created a theme park in the country and introduced the holiday to the nation.

Slowly, it started to become popular in certain parts of Japan, including Odaiba because of the Digimon that kept appearing to terrorize the city.

Honestly, you'd think in a country where people had conventions where they dressed up as their favourite anime characters that Halloween would have been very popular in Japan.

"So, what are you going to be for Halloween?" Wallace asked with a cheeky grin at the girl.

"Oh, what I am every year." Daisuke commented.

A couple then walked by with their two little boys who had their costumes they had just bought and the two Digidestineds were amused to see that the boys were wearing WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon masks.

People had started making costumes of the Digimon for cosplay conventions and for Halloween much to the pride of the Digidestineds' partners.

Last year, V-Mon had seen a little boy running around dressed as Fladramon and it made him puff up with happiness and pride.

"The hottest girl in the world?" Wallace smirked.

Face turning hot in a blush, Daisuke ducked her head down as she elbowed the blond in the side making him laugh.

"Do you have to talk like that?" She whined.

"Yes. And you know it's true." Wallace said as he cupped her chin and leaned down to kiss her lips gently.

He loved teasing her, especially when she blushed darkly and seemed to get shy and bashful.

It just made her look so cute.

Leaning into the kiss, the girl wrapped her arms around her boyfriend's neck as he pulled her closer to protect her from the autumn chill.

Deciding to not disturb any of the children or adults by deepening the kiss, the couple pulled away as they smiled lovingly at each other.

"Come on; let's go get something to eat." Daisuke said.

Nodding at this, Wallace allowed his girlfriend to latch onto his arm and pull him off towards a café where some adults and teenagers were sipping coffee or nibbling on sweets.

(Halloween day...)

It was a school day and the students were in the bathrooms or locker rooms getting into their costumes and fixing their make-up.

In the bathroom on the first floor was where the Digidestined girls were located as they got dressed before the first bell rang.

Sora Takenouchi was wearing a white dress that had gold rhine stones decorating it with white heels, golden angel wings on her back and even wore a headband with a halo attached to it.

Hikari Yagami was wearing a pink princess gown while she wore a silver crown that had pink jewels and held a matching scepter.

Mimi Tachikawa was wearing a green dress that had flowers and vines decorating it with glittery green wings and gold flats on her feet.

Miyako Inoue was dressed as Dorothy from her favourite American movie 'The Wizard of Oz' and had a basket with a toy puppy inside and was wearing silver slippers instead of ruby since the orginal Wizard of Oz had silver slippers.

Lastly, Daisuke was wearing a black tube top, black spandex pants and had on a pair of black boots and fingerless fishnet gloves that reached her elbows, a conical witch hat and a black cape while she carried a broom.

Around her neck was her orange crystal pendant.

"Ooh, I can't wait for the party tonight! It's going to be so much fun!" Miyako giggled gleefully.

"I can't wait to go either. It's going to be the first real date Taichi and I are going on." Sora said.

She and Yamato Ishida had broken up a few months back and Taichi Yagami had waited a short while until he was sure they weren't getting back together until he asked her out.

Jun Motomiya was thrilled, not because she used to like Yamato, but because she thought Sora and Taichi were perfect together and were meant for each other.

"I'm sure you'll have a great time together." Miyako told her.

"Yeah, as long as my brother doesn't do anything to ruin it. You know how he can be." Hikari grinned as she applied lipstick.

"Come on, it'll be fine. Don't worry her, Hikari." Mimi smiled as she rubbed green glitter along her eyelids.

"What about you, Miyako? Is Ken going to pick you up for the dance?" Hikari asked her Jogress partner.

"No, we're going to meet each other there. By the way, Daisuke, you better make sure this dance is good." Miyako scolded the other girl.

Daisuke and Jun had both volunteered to decorate the gym for the Halloween dance and had been coming up with designs for the school gym along with ideas for the refreshment table.

"Don't worry about it. This dance is going to rock." Daisuke winked.

"I hope so." Miyako said as she braided her hair and then tied off the ends with blue ribbons.

Once they were ready, the girls left the bathroom to meet up with the rest of the group and found them in the cafeteria along with Jun.

The eldest Motomiya sister was wearing a black witch's hat on top of her head while her magenta colored hair had been straightened out.

She was wearing a short black dress with a skirt that poofed out around her and she wore black ankle boots, lace gloves and a mini cape.

Around her neck was a pumpkin crystal necklace.

Both sisters always dressed up as witches for Halloween and came up with different costume designs to wear and show off.

Koushirou Izumi was dressed up in a lab coat and wore a crazy white wig on his head while Iori Hida was dressed in his kendo clothing minus the padding and helmet.

Jyou Kido had taken one of his father's old clothes and dressed up as a doctor while he had a stethoscope around his neck.

Taichi was wearing a red t-shirt, red pants and shoes while he had tiny red horns poking out of the bush he calls hair and held a tiny red pitchfork.

Yamato was wearing a form fitting v-neck, dark wash jeans, black boots and he had on red contacts and was wearing fake fangs while his hair was a bit messy.

Takeru Takaishi was dressed in a green prince costume to match Hikari's princess outfit while Ken Ichijouji was dressed up as the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz.

Last of all, Wallace was wearing a black robe over his normal clothing and wore a magician's hat on top of his head while he had a fake gold medalion that had a garnet gem.

"Hey, there you are!" Jun called as she waved at the rest of the girls as they walked over to the group.

"Sorry, hope we didn't keep you waiting too long." Sora smiled as she stepped up beside Taichi who was staring at her in awe.

Mimi went over to Kouchirou and clung to his arm while Miyako stood beside Ken, Hikari linked arms with Takeru and Daisuke stepped into Wallace's arms as he wrapped them around her waist.

"Don't worry about it." Iori shook his head.

"We better hurry up and get to class now. The bell's gonna ring soon." Jyou said.

"Right. Hey, Yamato-senpai, you're bringing the sound system later, right?" Daisuke asked.

"Yeah. My band and I are setting up after the gym is decorated." Yamato answered.

"Great! Ooh, I just can't wait until tonight!" Jun gushed.

Wallace shared an amused look with Daisuke before he then kissed his girlfriend's temple.

"Come on, let's hurry up and get to class. We'll see you guys later." Takeru said.

Everyone called out their farewells before they then left for their own classes, some of the couples seperating along the way.

(After school...)

When classes ended, the Motomiya sisters rushed off to the gym to start decorating for the dance that night.

Jun strutted into the room with a confident look on her face as she cast her gaze around the wide exterior as she thought over how to start things off.

"Alright, let's see. I say we need a few pumpkins around the room. Should they be the real ones or the fake ones that light up? Because those are easier to clean up." The magenta haired girl said.

Daisuke shook her head in amusement as she walked over to the side of the room, looking it over to see if it would be the proper place to put the refreshments' table.

"Do whatever you want. Do you think we should have a cake or do we just stick with cupcakes and cookies?" She asked.

"Why not go with all of them, including a large dish filled with candy? This is a dance on Halloween night. We need to go all out." Jun smirked.

Grinning at that, Daisuke walked to the center of the room with her hips swaying along the way so she could stand beside her sister who was humming in thought.

Standing beside each other, their crystal necklaces began to glow.

"Shall we?" Daisuke asked.

"We shall." Jun sang.

Raising their hands, both girls' fingers began to spark with blue and green lights as they then threw their hands up into the air.

The lights exploded like fireworks as they rained down around the room and transformed it.

Spider webs were strung up on the ceiling while orange lights were shining down on the room as rubber bats and spiders were hanging from the webs.

Light up tombstones, ghosts and jack o' lanterns were placed around the room while a scarecrow with a frightening face was also placed by the stage along with a jack o'lantern that had a black cat sitting on it.

A table had been set up and was filled with cupcakes that had orange icing and tiny ghost shaped candies on top while there was a large cake that was made up of six layers and had orange and green icing.

There were also pumpkin spice and cream cheese chocolate chip cookies, a big punch bowel filled with apple cider that had gummy worms in the icecubes and a dish that had candy corn in it.

"Looks good. Although, I feel like we're missing a few more things." Jun mused.

Flicking her fingers, she sent out green sparkles that then made green lights appear above to give the room some more color.

"Okay, enough. Yamato should be here soon to set up the sound system. We don't need the Teenage Wolves seeing us." Daisuke told her.

"Alrighty then! Do you think we should get the Digimon too? I bet they have their costumes on by now." Jun said.

"I'll go get them. Try not to scare off the guys with your flirting." Daisuke teased.

Jun slapped her sister's hip in retaliation making her laugh.

The pendant around Daisuke's neck then glowed as the girl transformed into tiny orange fireflies as she was then teleported to her bedroom.

Walking out, she then found her parents helping Lunamon and V-Mon into their costumes.

Akane was zipping up the back of Lunamon's Alice in Wonderland costume while Tamaki was putting a black vest on Veemon along with a large red bowtie and top hat.

"Hey guys!" Daisuke greeted making everyone look at her.

"Hey honey, what are you doing here?" Akane asked as she stood up to her full height.

She was dressed as Elvira Mistress of the Dark and had yet to place the wild black wig on top of her beautiful crimson mane of hair.

"I came to pick up V-Mon and Lunamon. Jun and I finished with the decorations already." Daisuke answered as she walked over.

Ryuusuke, the raven haired male, smiled as he stood up and brushed off his black robe before he grabbed his warlock staff.

"We're ready to go!" V-Mon dressed as the Mad Hatter gave a large grin and thumb's up.

"This will be my first Halloween dance. I'm very excited." Lunamon smiled sweetly.

"I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time. Just try not to eat too much candy." Akane smiled down at the moon bunny.

"Have fun, but not too much fun." Ryuusuke said.

"Don't worry, Dad. Everything will be fine." Daisuke assured as she picked up V-Mon and Lunamon.

"If you say so. Remember, you and your sister are allowed to stay out until 1:00 am. Any later, and there will be consequences." Ryuusuke told her sternly.

"I know, I know. You guys have fun tonight at your party." Daisuke said.

"We will. Try to stay out of trouble." Akane said as she kissed her daughter's cheek.

"Sure!" Daisuke chirped.

Akane placed her wig on and walked over to Ryuusuke who held his arms open for the woman and hugged her to his chest.

"If everything is sorted out, we'll be on our way now." Akane told the girl.

"Bye!" V-Mon waved.

"See you later." Lunamon smiled.

"Good-bye, kids!" Ryuusuke waved.

He and Akane then transformed into a flurry of red and purple lights before they then left to go off to their party.

"Alright you two, let's get to the dance!" Daisuke smiled down at the two Digimon.

"Yeah!" V-Mon cheered as he picked Lunamon up in a princess carry making her blush.

Laughing at the adorable couple, Daisuke touched her pendant as it glowed orange and teleported the group of three outside of the doors to the gym where no one was at the moment.

Reaching out, Daisuke pulled the doors open and walked inside to find Yamato was inside already with his three bandmates as they began setting up their instruments and the sound system.

Jun was watching over them over they worked and slapped one of the boys when he tried to steal a cookie.

"Hey! You can eat after you're done!" The magenta haired witch scolded.

"But I'm hungry!" He whined.

"Jun, just let him have the cookie. There's enough food." Daisuke said as she walked over.

"Thank you!" The boy said as he grabbed the cookie and walked off.

Gabumon, who was up on stage with Yamato, was wearing a black and red vampire's cape and a ruby pendant.

Spotting the other two Digimon, he jumped down from the stage and walked over to V-Mon and Lunamon to speak with them as they gathered around the refreshment table.

"Hello. I love your costumes. They look great." Gabumon smiled.

"Thank you." Lunamon blushed bashfully.

She was terribly shy, which was a surprise since she is Jun's partner.

"Your costume looks great, too." V-Mon said.

"I wanted to match Yamato." Gabumon told him.

The Digimon then continued their conversation while the Teenage Wolves finished setting up their instruments and sound system.

"Alright, everything is set up and ready for tonight." Yamato announced as he stood up.

"Great! This is going to be the best party yet!" Jun grinned happily as she picked up Lunamon and held her close to her chest in a hug.

(That night...)

The party had started and the gym was filled with students and their Digimon while teachers were gathered around to watch over the crowd.

Yamato and his band were up on stage as they performed some Halloween based songs for the crowd to dance to.

Sora was dancing with Taichi out on the floor, her white dress changing colors from the lights that shone down from the ceiling.

Jun, Miyako and Mimi had dragged Koushirou, Ken and Jyou out onto the floor to dance as well while Daisuke, Wallace, Hikari, Takeru and Iori stood by the refreshment table to watch the Teenage Wolves perform their songs.

"It seems like everyone's enjoying themselves." Hikari commented as she saw the Digimon dancing in a group.

"It's a good party. You guys set this place up pretty well." Takeru said to Daisuke.

The girl was leaning into Wallace's side as he had his arm wrapped around her waist to hold her in place.

"Thanks." She said as she took a bite out of the cookie she held.

Leaning down, Wallace bit off a piece of the cookie making the girl pout up at him which caused the blond to grin innocently.

Hikari giggled at them before she then turned her attention over to their friends who were dancing and then smiled up at Takeru.

"Why don't we go dance now? I don't want to spend the entire night chowing down on sweets." The brunette said.

"Isn't that what people normally do for Halloween?" Wallace joked.

"Not unless you wanna be newly single." Daisuke smirked.

Wallace chuckled at that as he stepped back and spun Daisuke around as he began leading her away from the table.

"I can take a hint!" He said.

Takeru laughed as well as he offered his arm to Hikari before he then led her over to where their friends were so that they could all dance together.

"Okay, I'm going to need a bit more footwork from you." Jun teased as she danced around Jyou who was barely moving to the beat.

"I'm not very good at dancing." The bluenette told her with a small grin.

Giggling, Jun then grabbed Jyou's hands and started swaying as she had the older boy follow her movements.

"Then let me help you." She told him.

Blushing, Jyou followed the girl's lead as he allowed her to help him dance.

Laughing softly, Daisuke was spun around the dance floor by Wallace who then pulled the girl into his arms before he then dipped her making her giggle as her hand reached up to hold her hat in place.

"Suave, as always, Wallace!" She teased.

"Only for you." He smirked before he then pulled her back up.

Pulling her closer to him, he then leaned down towards her face which made her smile as she moved upwards to meet him halfway and placed her lips over his in a chaste kiss.

They lingered a few centimeters away from each others' lips before Daisuke then grinned as she grabbed Wallace's hands.

"Follow me." She whispered to him.

Nodding, the blond followed after the girl as they rushed out of the room catching the attention of the Digimon who stared after them curiously.

"Oh my. Where do you think those two are going?" Lopmon inquired.

"When it comes to Daisuke, you'll never know." Tailmon commented.

"Come on, guys, we have a party to enjoy." Piyomon said as she tugged Agumon after her.

Up on the roof, Daisuke and Wallace stepped out to find it empty which made the young witch smile as the full moon shone down onto the school.

"Whoa, check out the moon! I don't think I've ever seen it so big before." Wallace comemnted as he gazed up at the moon which was a pure white color.

"It's a beautiful night, isn't it?" Daisuke smiled as she walked over to the edge of the roof to gaze up into the starry sky.

Wallace smiled adoringly at the girl as he walked up beside her and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her temple making her blush lightly.

"Yeah, it is." Wallace said as held the girl tightly as she then rested her head on his shoulder and kissed his jawline.

The couple remained in that position as they stared up at the sky, enjoying the beauty of the night as the sound of the music pulsed from below.

"So, what did you bring me up here for anyway?" The American asked.

A smirk then curved the girl's petal pink lips as she then turned in her boyfriend's arms.

"I thought we'd go for a little ride. Unless you're too scared." She said.

"Me? Scared? Please!" Wallace scoffed.

"Really? Because you seemed pretty scared when you first rode Lightdramon." Daisuke mused with a teasing look in her eyes.

"We were kids back then! Besides, I've ridden that crazy dragon plenty of times now. I can anything." Wallace said confidently.

"If you say so!" Daisuke chirped.

Turning around again, the girl's pendant glowed as a broomstick then appeared in front of the couple and levitated there.

The handle was made of oak wood while a crystal sat on the very tip as it glowed orange.

Jumping up onto the broom, Daisuke sat side saddle as she placed both hands on the handle in front of her.

"Then come on up." She told Wallace.

Chuckling, the blond stepped up onto the edge of the roof as he then used it to help himself sit on the broomstick before he then placed his arms around his girlfriend's waist.

"You ready?" Daisuke asked as she looked back at him.

"Yep!" Wallace nodded with a grin.

He was a bit worried since it was his first time, but he knew that Daisuke wouldn't allow anything to happen to him during their ride.

"Then let's ride!" The girl cheered.

With those words, the broomstick shot off into the night making Wallace cry out in surprise as he then tightened his hold on Daisuke's waist and pulled himself closer to her body making the girl laugh.

A trail of orange dust glittered in the sky as the duo rode off on the broomstick, smiling as they took in the sight of the night as they soared towards the moon that shone above.

The end.
