"Bring Me to Life"
A continuation of 'Amethyst and Silver'. Please enjoy and review!
The battle against Ultron and his army of robots had caused great damage to the city and the Avengers, along with their three new teammates the Maximoff twins and Vision, were fighting off the army.
Nick Fury had arrived with a large air craft, an old helicarrier, for the civilians to be escourted onto and escape the floating city and the Avengers were helping people over to it.
Davey Motomiya was on the helicarrier as people were brought over and she was healing anyone who was greatly injured.
Currently, she was holding her glowing amethyst hands over a little girl's leg since it had been broken when she tried to run away from one of the Ultron robots.
A few other SHIELD agents were also tending to the minor injuries that the civilians had gotten when they were saved by the Avengers.
Ex-Veemon then flew above the air craft and tore apart an Ultron-bot that had been flying towards the civilians.
"Motomiya," Fury contacted the girl through her com.
"Little busy, Fury. What's up?" She asked as she moved on to an old man who had a huge gash on the side of his head.
Kneeling down beside him, she held up her glowing hands to the wound and watched as the blood and marred skin healed over.
"What's the casualty number out there?" Fury demanded.
"I'm not sure. I counted maybe three dead bodies, but there may be more." Davey reported as she finished healing the old man.
"Three?" Fury repeated in surprise at the low casulty number.
"They all died before I could get to them. They were found dead in the streets. One was crushed under a building, another was shot in the head and the last one fell to death." Davey reported.
The sight of all the dead bodies had made her stomach churn, but the damage wasn't as bad as the one from the battle of New York.
When the Avengers had helped with the clean-up crew and Davey had seen all of the dead bodies, the poor 20 year old had run off and thrown up as she broke down crying.
Steve Rogers had been the one to go after her and comfort her while the others had gotten to work fixing the damage.
"Keep working. Let's try not to lose any more people. We don't need this crisis to get any bigger than it already is." Fury told her.
"Roger that." Davey muttered.
Lifting her head up, the redhead found the rest of her team fighting off the Ultron-bots or helping people over to the helicarrier.
From far away, she could see red lights that were being used by Wanda to destroy the robots and Pietro was a blur as he tore through Ultron's army.
Clint Barton was walking over to the helicarrier with a group of people he had saved from a turned over bus.
"Clint!" Davey called.
Rushing over to the assassin, Davey checked him and the rest of the crowd over for injuries and saw that they only had some cuts and bruises.
The medics could take care of the minor injuries, so Davey wasn't needed at the moment.
"How's everything going?" She asked as her eyes scanned his body for wounds.
"It's tough. Think you can come back onto the field?" Clint panted.
"You gettin' tired already?" Davey gave a grin to lighten the mood.
"Oh, no. Killing a bunch of murder-bots on a flying island is actually a great workout. I'm pumped." The brunette joked along with her.
"Costal!" A woman cried.
Turning their attention over to the woman, the duo saw that she appeared to be looking for someone frantically.
Clint gazed out onto the battle field and found a young boy standing in the debris.
He then took off running towards the boy which made Davey turn her attention over to him just as Ultron started flying overhead with a jet.
"Clint!" Davey screamed when she saw Ultron locking the gun attached to the jet onto the archer.
Seeing that he was about to get shot, Clint picked up the little boy in his arms and turned to the side as he tried to shield the child with his body.
Scared of what the outcome would be, Davey quickly started racing over as the gun was fired off towards Clint and the child.
It only took a few seconds, but something shocking happened that made everyone in the area freeze.
Not feeling any bullets hitting him, Clint opened his eyes and looked up to see that a car had been moved in front of him to shield himself and the boy from the bullets.
Raising his head, Clint met the stunned and dazed expression of Pietro who was standing above him with multiple bullet holes in his arms and chest.
Wanda, who had a psychic connection with her twin, sensed him getting hit with the bullets and her breath was caught in her throat as she sensed his heart slowing down.
Releasing a shuddering breath in horror at the sight before her, Davey watched as the white haired speedster glanced over at Clint who was staring at him in shock.
"You didn't see that coming." Pietro rasped.
Ex-Veemon roared as he attacked the jet, ripping Ultron out of the driver's seat before he threw him down into the forest where Vision was waiting to deal with him.
"NO!" Davey screamed as she ran over to Pietro as his body fell to the ground.
As for Wanda, she released a silent scream of despair as tears fell from her eyes and she dropped to her knees as a wave of red energy shot out of her hands, destroying every single robot swarming around her.
Dropping to her knees beside the injured man, Davey turned Pietro over as she rested his head on her lap to check over the bullet wounds.
"D-Davey, you can't heal him." Clint shook his head as he fought to keep the tears at bay.
He just couldn't believe the annoying brat had just put his life in danger to save.
"Watch me." She told him with a fierce confidence in her eyes.
Raising her hands above the Sokovian's body, Davey focussed on her powers as amethyst light began to glow from her palms.
Her face was set in determination as she silently begged to whoever was listening for her powers to heal Pietro and bring him back.
He had spent his entire life living in a war filled country and he had just recently escaped from Hydra.
Pietro deserved to live the rest of his life in peace with his sister and to meet some girl to fall in love with so they could start a family of their own together.
He didn't deserve to die at such a young age.
Steve then raced over to the group as he saw Davey trying to revive Pietro while Clint watched on with a hopeless look in his eyes.
"It's over. Ultron's been destroyed and so have the rest of the army." Steve reported.
"That's great." Clint nodded.
Looking down at the boy in his arms, Clint stood up and began making his way over to the helicarrier where the kid's family member was searching for him.
"I'm gonna take the kid to the helicarrier. You stay here with Davey. She's gonna need someone." The archer told the super soldier.
Nodding at that, Steve turned his gaze back down onto the redhead and saw that she had managed to heal Pietro's bullet wounds, but the man was still as white as sheet.
His lifeless blue eyes were staring at nothing which made Steve feel unnerved since he was so used to seeing them filled with mischief.
Kneeling down at the girl's side, Steve placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Davey... You need to stop." He told her.
"No, I can't. I-I can't stop. I can heal him." She insisted.
Ever since the battle of New York that ended in the deaths of so many innocent people, Davey couldn't stand to let anyone just die.
She was determined to not let anyone die on her, not when she had the power to help them.
"No, you can't. I'm sorry, but you can't save everyone. He's already dead, Davey. There's nothing else you can do for him." Steve said softly.
Reaching over, he grabbed the girl's hands and pulled them away as tears began streaming down her soot covered face.
The poor girl felt cold and she was shaking as her brown eyes stared down at the dead body of the man she was becoming friends with and starting to care for.
Feeling eyes on her, Davey lifted her head and met the broken hearted expression of Wanda as the witch stumbled her way out of the building she was fighting in and was making her way over to her brother's body.
Wanda's blue eyes were tinted red from crying and the look of heart break on her face would make anyone's heart shatter at the sight.
Seeing the despaired look that was on the other girl's face, Davey regained her determination as she yanked her hands out of Steve's grip.
"NO! I am NOT giving up yet!" She yelled.
With that exclamation, the amethyst light around her hands glowed even brighten as it transformed into a peridot green colored light that seemed to wrap around her body.
The sight and actions of the girl made Steve jump back in surprise as he watched Davey place her hands onto Pietro's chest which also caught Wanda's attention as she watched to see what the Japanese woman was doing to her brother's corps.
Keeping her hands firmly placed over Pietro's lifeless heart, Davey focussed every bit of her energy into her palms and forced it into the cold body below her.
A pulse of energy flooded out of her own body and flowed into Pietro's which made Steve and Wanda watch with baited breath to see what would happen.
The green light then died down and returned to the amethyst color it originally was before it faded away and Davey's eyes drooped tiredly, leaving the girl to feel completely drained.
It was silent for a few seconds as everyone started making their way over, Ex-Veemon and Vision flying down from the sky along with Iron Man and Thor.
Making her way over to them, Wanda sat down beside the exhausted redhead who looked pale and weak.
"You tried. That's all that matters. Thank you for that." The brunette female whispered.
"It-It should've...worked." Davey panted.
"Don't beat yourself up over it, Khaleesi. It's not your fault." Tony Stark said as his face plate was removed to show off his face.
Ex-Veemon was covered in yellow light as he turned back into DemiVeemon and scurried over to his weakened partner.
"We should all head back to the hellicarriers. This island is going to crash into the ground soon." Thor said.
"Yeah, we better move." Steve said as he stood up.
He couldn't stand to see the look of utter defeat that was now on Davey's face as she stared down at the dead body on her lap through glassy eyes.
Everyone moved over to the two girls as Steve and Thor moved to grab onto the dead body to carry it with them to the helicarrier.
If anything, they could still give the young man a proper grave for dying as a hero.
As soon as the two blonds touched the body, Pietro shot up screaming which made everyone else scream in horror as they jumped back from the revived man while the girls threw themselves away from him in shock.
"Ahh! Zombie!" DemiVeemon cried as he jumped into Davey's arms for protection.
"What the fuck!" Steve gasped out as he stared at the dazed speedster in shock.
No one even bothered to tease him for cursing since they were all far too absrobed in their shock at the sight of a man being brought back from the dead to notice anything else.
"P-Pietro? Frate (brother)?" Wanda asked in hope.
Gasping in large lungfulls of air, Pietro turned his confused blue eyes onto his sister who had a new set of tears filling her matching orbs.
"Sora (sister)?" He asked.
Laughing in awe, Wanda threw herself into her brother's arms as she hugged him close to her, thanking the heavens for allowing her last living relative to stay with her.
"How in the hell did that happen?" Tony asked as he pointed at the twins.
Gaping in disbelief, Thor turned his attention over to Davey who was still kneeling on the ground with a tired expression on her face pale.
She was cluthing DemiVeemon to her chest and seemed to be staring into space as everyone kept their full attention on the man she had brought back to life.
"I must admit, I am quite amazed by this predicament. I had no idea that Davinia was this powerful." Vision said which caught Pietro's attention.
"Davinia?" The white haired male questioned.
Pulling away from each other, Wanda smiled at her brother before she nodded her head over to where Davey was slowly standing up with Thor's help.
"She healed you. Brought you back to life." The brunette informed.
Spinning around to look at the girl, Pietro took in the sight of Davey as she leaned against Thor who was supporting most of her weight since she was having a difficult time standing.
"Draga (darling)?" Pietro questioned making her look up at him.
When those big brown eyes met his, Pietro gave the girl a large smile as he stared at her in awe like he had done when he had first met her in the forest nearly a week ago.
The young woman was a beautiful, pure and incredible person.
She was an angel in his eyes.
"I take it back. Your power is better." He told her.
This made Davey laugh weakly in amusement as she licked at her split lip she had received during the battle.
Just then, the ground shook which made everyone cry out as they felt the island beginning to fall out of the sky.
"Come on, we need to get out of here." Steve said urgently.
"Not arguing with you this time, Capsicle." Tony said as he and Vision flew off.
Scooping his sister up into his arms, Pietro took off in a blue blur while Thor lifted Davey into his arms as he and Steve began running towards the helicarrier.
Everyone managed to get onto the helicarrier just in time as the island started falling towards the ground below.
Once inside, Thor carried Davey off to the medical bay which made Clint, Natasha Romanoff and Bruce Banner glance over in worry when they saw the healer had been injured.
"What happened to her?" Bruce asked as he saw the rest of the team walking over.
"She overworked herself." Steve answered.
That made the trio glance down the hall as they watched Thor entering the med bay to set the youngest member of the team on one of the beds.
"Whoa! You're alive?" Clint exclaimed when he saw Pietro walking over with his sister clinging to his arm.
"Thanks to Davinia." Wanda smiled brightly.
"What do you mean by that? What did Davey do?" Bruce asked looking like he was close to jumping out of his own skin.
Natasha had only recently gotten him to calm down and turn back into his human form, so he still felt a little anxious from the battle.
"It was quite extrodinary, really. She used her healing ability to bring Pietro back to life." The red skinned man said.
This made Bruce, Natasha and Clint all turn their heads over to Vision who looked like a child who had just seen Santa Claus for the first time.
"I'm sorry, she did what?" Natasha demanded.
"Exactly what he just said. She brought Speedy back from the dead. He was completely dead. As a doornail. But now he's not." Tony said.
"Yeah, that did nothing to explain what's going on." Clint scoffed.
"What do you want me to say? I have no idea what the hell happened!" Tony exclaimed.
Thor then came walking back into the hallway where the others all were.
"I think it's obvious what's happened." The Asgardian prince announced making everyone turn their attention over to him.
"Oh, great. Then please explain, Pointbreak." Tony rolled his dark brown eyes.
"Davinia's powers are growing stronger. They've advanced so far that she can now heal a person's heart and revive them." Thor explained.
Everyone became silent at that as they took in what Thor had informed them of.
"That does make sense." Bruce nodded as he crossed his arms.
Releasing a sigh of disbelief, Steve began to pace as his worry for the tanned redhead grew stronger.
With the way her powers were now advancing, she could be a great threat to other people if she could bring someone back from the dead.
"What I noticed from the event is that it seemed to have greatly drained Davinia of her energy. It may not be wise for her to do something like that again." Vision stated.
"You are right. She may be fine right now, but who knows what would happen if she ever tried it again." Wanda said.
"Or what would happen if someone else heard of her new powers." Pietro said as his worry began to grow.
"Yebena mat' (holy shit)!" Natasha breathed in Russian as she ran her fingers through her hair.
"Okay, look. No one else can know about this." Steve said.
The others all turned their eyes onto the super soldier who had gone back into his Captain America persona which made them stand at attention.
"If Fury or Hill asks, Davey did NOT bring Pietro back from the dead. He wasn't dead in the first place. He was just badly injured and she healed him normally like she always does. Understood?" He asked.
The team all agreed as they spoke out their own agreements to keep silent, even Vision who understood how inportant the 23 year old girl was to them.
"All right. Good." Steve nodded.
With that done, Pietro placed a kiss on Wanda's head which made her smile up at him before he then took off in a blue blur to go visit Davey in the med bay as the others all left to their own rooms.
Pausing in the room, Pietro glanced over the sleeping form of the girl while DemiVeemon sat at her side trying to clean off the dirt that was on her face.
"Hey, how is she?" Pietro asked making the dragon look over at him.
"She's okay, just sleepy. She might also be hungry when she wakes up. She usually is." DemiVeemon smiled up at the Sokovian.
Davey was also going to be hunting down a bathroom so she could shower off and get rid of the annoying catsuit.
Giving an amused grin at that, Pietro walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge as he reached over to pick up her hand.
"These hands are a gift, printesa (princess). But it's your heart that makes you an amazing person." Pietro whispered as he kissed her knuckles.
The end.
