"You Found Me"
Part 2 of Soulmate. Please enjoy and review!
The sun shone down on Davis' face while he breathed in the scent of the sweet flowers in the field he was resting in.
His head was resting in the lap of a man who was gently running his fingers through his hair, twirling his strong fingers over the silky locks.
Opening his eyes, Davis glanced down at the young woman who was resting against his chest, her fingers drawing lazy designs against his abdomen and hummed a lullaby in a European language he didn't recognize.
His arm was wrapped around the girl's back, pulling her into his side and he leaned down to press a kiss on the top of her head, making her giggle.
Whining at that, the man above Davis then cupped his chin and tilted the boy's head up to face him.
Davis was staring up into a pair of bright blue eyes as the white haired male bent down, placing his lips over the younger man's.
"Vă vom găsi în curând, îngerul meu (We'll find you soon, my angel)." The white haired male whispered against his lips.
"Mr. Motomiya." An English accented voice spoke.
Jerking awake from his deep sleep, Davis groaned as he glanced around to see he was back in his room at the Avengers Tower.
"Mr. Motomiya, are you awake now?" Jarvis, the A.I., asked the 23 year old.
"Yeah, I'm awake. What's up Jarvis?" Davis asked as he sat up in his bed, rubbing at his eyes.
"Mr. Stark says you need to suit up. Director Fury has located a new Hydra base." Jarvis reported.
"Okay, I'll be down soon." Davis said.
"Yes, sir." Jarvis said.
Shaking his head, the boy then got out of his head and went to his drawer to pull out a spar uniform and clean udnerwear for the day.
Once dressed in the black spandex pants, black boots and black sleeveless top with a high collar, Davis allowed his eyes to turn yellow while his fox ears and tail grew out.
"Okay, let's get it started." Dark Fox sighed.
(In Sokovia...)
Dark Fox and the Winter Soldier were both riding on ExVeemon was the large blue dragon flew over the battle that was raging on in the snowy forest.
Both males were shooting at the soldiers that had gathered into the forest, taking out the ones that were trying to shoot them or Captain America who was riding his motorcycle.
Iron Man and Thor were flying through the sky while the Hulk charged on through the forest, knocking down the jeeps and such that were in his way.
Black Widow was driving a jeep while her soulmate Hawkeye was standing up in the back, his head poking out of the sunroof to shoot his arrows at the on coming agents.
When the jeep was attacked, the duo jumped out to continue the fight on foot while Captain America tossed his shield at some of the soldiers.
Iron Man flew above everyone and headed off towards the base and tried to fly inside, but he ended up crashing into a force field that had been put up around the building.
"Shit!" Iron Man cursed.
"Language! JARVIS, what's the view from upstairs?" Captain America asked the AI that was viewing the battle.
"The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield. Strucker's techonology is well beyond any other HYDRA base we've taken." JARVIS reported.
"Loki's scepter must be here. Strucker couldn't mount his deffence without it. At long last." Thor said.
"At long last is lasting a little long, boys." The Black Widow commented.
"Yeah. Think we lost the element of surprise." Hawkeye said as he hid behind some trees and shot his exploding arrows at a tank.
"No, really? I hadn't noticed." Dark Fox said as he watched the Winter Soldier shoot down multiple men with ease.
"Wait a second. No one else is going to deal with that fact that Cap just said 'Language'?" Iron Man questioned.
"I know." Captain America sighed.
Using his super strength, he flipped his bike over and threw it at the truck that was heading his way.
He stood back as he watched the motorcycle hit the front of the car and the men in it barely had enough time to jump out when it exploded.
"It just slipped out." He said.
"Aw, don't be embaressed, Cap. It was cute." Winter Soldier teased his soulmate making Dark Fox and ExVeemon chuckle.
"Sir, the city is taking fire." JARVIS warned Tony as his suit was shot at.
"Well, we know Strucker's not gonna worry about civilian casualties. Send in the Iron Legion." Tony ordered.
As the swarm of robots flew off towards the city to defend the people, Dark Fox groaned as he felt a strange sensation from his soulmark.
"What is it? Were you shot?' Winter Soldier asked as his eyes gazed around the area.
"No, I wasn't hurt or anything. I just feel...weird. And this time, it's not something I feel through the bond from my soulmates, it's me." Dark Fox said.
"Well, that's a first." ExVeemon muttered.
"Ignore it for now. We've got more important things to do." Winter Soldier told him as he aimed his gun at an agent below.
While the two men were talking, Hawkeye had been tackled to the ground by a strange blue and silver blur that shot by.
Cursing under his breath, Hawkeye rolled onto his side and sensed someone behind him and turned to find a man a year older than Dark Fox walking by, a smirk on his face and swagger in his steps.
"You didn't see that coming?" He teased.
Throwing one last grin over his shoulder, Quicksilver took off into the forest, leaving Hawkeye behind.
As he raced through the battle ground, Quicksilver felt a tingling sensation from his soulmark and stopped behind a tree, lifting up his sleeve to stare down at it to see it was giving off a feint, blue glow.
There was no distress coming from the mark, but the star was giving Quicksilver the desire to search for something or someone.
Looking up into the sky, Quicksilver's eyes grew wide when he saw a dragon flying by above him, two men dressed in black sitting on the beast's back.
When the shock passed, Quicklsilver then realized that the man sitting at the front of the dragon had a head of familiar burgundy colored hair.
"Înger (Angel)?" He whispered in hope as he watched the dragon fly further away from him.
Not wanting to lose sight of them, Quicksilver sped off after the dragon as it carried the two men through the battle, rising higher into the sky before it then hid in the sunlight, making the speedster groan as he was momentarily blinded.
Cursing at this, Quicksilver rushed off to go find the Scarlet Witch and tell her what he had seen.
(Back at the Tower...)
A party was being held that night, everyone rejoicing at finally finding the scepter and they could put their quest to an end.
Sitting at the bar, Davis was sipping at the vodka that Natasha Romanoff had served him while Veemon was off searching for something to eat.
"What's wrong with you?" Natasha asked making the Japanese boy look at her.
Lifting his head, Davis gave the Russian woman a cheerful grin, which she automatically knew was fake and it made her frown.
"Nothing, I guess I'm just tired." He waved off her worries.
"Uh huh. Come on, brat (brother), you know you can't lie to me." Natasha told him.
Deflating at that, Davis rubbed at the wrist where the silver star was located which Natasha took notice of.
"Something weird happened back in Sokovia. My soulmark was acting all strange, but it wasn't because my soulmates were feeling overly emotional. And then I had this really powerful...urge to look for someone. Sounds nuts, doesn't it?" Davis gave a dry grin as he threw back his vodka.
Listening to this, Natasha began to realize what had happened and wondered how she would explain this to the boy.
(In Sokovia...)
"You are sure that it was him?" Wanda Maximoff asked her twin as they walked through the cold night of their home.
"I am certain. It was him, Wanda, our soulmate. No one else has hair that color. Also, my mark was reacting to him when he flew by on that dragon's back." Pietro Maximoff insisted.
The twins had gone around the city, giving blankets and spare clothing to the people who had so little because of the war that had been disturbing their home for years.
Wanda was skeptic over what her brother was telling her, but she could sense how serious he was over the situation.
Was it really possible that their soulmate had been so close by, but they had let him slip right through their fingers?
"Why did I not sense him? Why did my soulmark not react to his pressence?" She asked looking hurt and frustrated.
With her new powers, she had been able to slip her and Pietro into their soulmate's subconcious as they slept, but she hadn't been able to reach out to him while they were awake.
Just then, her depression slowly faded away when she felt an aura of comfort radiate from the heart on her wrist which made her smile down at it, happy to know that he still found time to try and comfort her even after all these years.
She knew that she and Pietro hadn't made things easy for the boy with all of their rapid mood swings caused by the civil war, but he never seemed to mind that.
His only consern was to make them feel better and know that there was someone out there who cared for them dearly.
"I do not know. Maybe because I was closet to him. You know he cares for us both equally." Pietro told her seriously.
Fingers brushing over her soulmark gently, Wanda smiled as she felt the aura of happiness that he was sending her way.
"I know that. Wherever he is right now, we will find him and we will keep him safe with us." Wanda said.
An amused grin found its way onto Pietro's lips as he held up his arm, looking over the star on his wrist.
"I hate to break it to you, Wanda, but I think he is the one who will be trying to protect us. He seems like the protective type." The white haired male commented.
"That still won't stop us from protecting him." Wanda said.
(With the Avengers...)
"I still can't believe this bullshit right now!" Davis complained.
Tony Stark and Bruce Banner had accidentally created an evil A.I. named Ultron that took over one of the Iron Man suits and escaped with the scepter.
He had called Wolfgang von Strucker and taken off with the Maximoff twins to Wakanda to collect some vibranium from an arms dealer named Ulysses Klaue so Ultron could make himself a better body and an army to destroy the world.
"You think you can rant a little more quietly?" Bucky asked Davis.
The Avengers were in Klaue's base and each were sneaking up on Ultron and the twins, ready to find the scepter and destroy the robot.
"No, I'm pissed right the fuck off right now!" The fox growled as his tail lashed around in his anger.
"Yeah, so am I, but you need to chill out right now. Focus on the mission. That quick guy could be anywhere and who knows what that little witch can do." Bucky said.
"She accidentally influenced Tony to create an evil murder-bot. I'm sure we already have an idea on what she can do." Flamedramon commented.
"Guys, incoming! Klaue's soldiers are piling in." Clint Barton warned everyone.
Tensing up, the trio prepared themselves for the onsalught of soldiers.
When they arrived, the three males jumping into the fray and began to work together, taking out the soldiers as they tried to box the Digimon, Dark Fox and the Winter Soldier in.
While they were fighing, Dark Fox's soulmark was tingling as he knocked out a soldier and glanced over his shoulder to find a familiar looking brunette sneaking around the corner.
Red energy was moving around her hands and she was nearing the Winter Soldier, a wicked look in her blue eyes.
Knowing bad things would happen if the Scarlet Witch used her mind warping powers on the Winter Soldier, Dark Fox knocked down every soldier standing in his path as he raced over to the woman, ignoring the tingling feeling on his arm as he did so.
Before Scarlet Witch could touch the Winter Soldier, Dark Fox wrapped his arms around her waist, the touch sending a jolt up their spines.
Twisting in his hold, Wanda looked up into Davis' eyes and her breath left her in a whoosh.
Only one word came to mind as she stared at the face of the man holding her; beautiful.
Everything else going on around the base seemed to fade away as the duo continued to stare at each other, taking in their appearances in awe.
Slowly lifting his hand, Davis placed his hand on Wanda's cheek and rubbed his thumb against her fair skin.
He was amazed by the bright blue eyes the woman had and was amused to see her hair was the color of milk chocolate, but it smelled like roses.
Her lips were a lovely pink color and were plump, he felt tempted to kiss and nip at them.
One word purred in his mind as he stared down at the little beauty in his arms.
Mine.
"You are so beautiful." He whispered sounding breathless.
A dark red blush appeared on her cheeks as she smiled shyly up at him, her hands moving to rest on his chest as his scent of musk and blackberries seemed to overwhelm her own senses.
"You are perfection." She sighed.
Smiling down at the woman, Davis began to blush as well and leaned down, bumping noses with Wanda who continued to smile up at him as her arms wrapped around his neck.
"Davis?" Someone questioned.
Snapping out of their transe, Davis and Wanda stepped away from each other, shocked by the way they had acted, before turning to look at Flamedramon who had called out to his partner while Bucky had taken out the last soldier.
"What's going on here?" Flamedramon asked his partner while Bucky came to stand beside him.
"I-I don't... Who are you?" Davis asked as he turned his attention back onto the girl.
"She's one of the twins, Davis." Bucky told him.
Seeing a red glow, Bucky looked down at their wrists and his eyes grew wide when he saw the identical marks they had on their left wrists.
"And she's your soulmate. Oh, fuck! I bet the guy is your other soulmate, too. You gotta be kidding me." The Brooklyn born male complained.
Shocked by what she had heard, Wanda looked over the man standing in front of her and felt great confusion on what he was doing here, but also felt a great amount of joy as she stared at him.
"It's you." She whispered.
Ears twitching above his head, Davis turned to look back at the girl and felt the soulmate bond pulling him to her.
"Yeah. Guess you finally found me." He gave a sheepish smile, unsure of how to react to this situation.
Bucky and Flamedramon stood on the sidelines, waiting to see how the two enhanced humans would behave now that they had finally found each other after all these years.
Finally, Wanda was the one who acted first and she rushed up to Davis, wrapping her arms around his neck to pull him down into a kiss, red energy swarming around the duo as she did so.
A tidal wave of emotion then flooded over the duo, drowning them in the joy, comfort and love that was shared between the two as Davis began to kiss Wanda back, pulling her against his chest possessively.
Averting his eyes from the sight, Bucky then turned his ear communicator on.
"Steve, tell the others not to touch the twins. It looks like they're Davis' soulmates." He informed his own soulmate.
"WHAT?!" Captain America shouted in shock.
"Are you sure about that?" He asked once the shock faded.
"Oh, believe me. I'm sure." Bucky said as Flamedramon groaned, covering his eyes so he didn't have to see his partner making out with someone.
Slowly pulling away, Wanda smiled up at Davis and reached up to touch his fox ears, finding them to be adorable.
A frown then broke out on her face making Davis worry, wondering what was bothering her.
"What is it?" He asked.
"We need to find Pietro. He has to know that you're here right now." Wanda said.
"Right, we better find him. Guys, come on." Davis said turning to look at Bucky and Flamedramon.
"Wait, why are they coming with us?" Wanda asked grabbing his arm.
"They're my friends. They can be trusted, ojo (princess)." He told her.
Wanda was skeptic over this, but she trusted her soulmate.
If he said that the Winter Soldier and dragon could be trusted, then she would give them the benefit of the doubt.
What truly mattered was finding Pietro and telling him their search for their soulmate was finally over.
The end.
