"Winter in Summer"

Please enjoy and review!

Sitting in the common area were a group of teenagers who were all lounging around, enjoying the peace of their weekend before they all had to complete their homework for the next day.

The tallest member of the group was a young man who was over six feet tall and had a muscular body who had brown hair and blue eyes who was sketching in the book he had perched on his knee.

He was called Piotr Rasputin, but his friends all called him Pete or Colossus.

On the floor by his legs was Katherine 'Kitty' Pryde, a brunette girl with brown eyes who was the youngest of the group and was known as Shadowcat.

She was whispering into the ear of the girl beside her named Marie, but preffered Rogue, who had long brown hair with white bangs and brown eyes.

The final members of the group were two blond haired boys, Robert 'Bobby' Drake being the one with blue eyes while John Alvers, who most people called Pyro, had brown eyes.

They were both sitting on the couch, mocking a TV show that was playing.

As the group were goofing off, they noticed Professor Charles Xavier rolling his wheel chair by them, making his way towards the door.

"Hey, what's the Professor doing?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know." Rogue shook her head.

"Let's go see." John suggested as he stood up.

"Pyro, no." Bobby protested.

"We're going to get in trouble." Kitty said.

Rolling his eyes at the group, since he knew for a fact that they were going to follow John anyway, Piotr stood and followed after the mischiveous blond.

"Pete!" Kitty gasped.

"Let's not argue. We all know we're going to spy anyway." Piotr shrugged.

Sharing sheepish looks, the two brunettes and blond stood up to follow Piotr and John as they hid around the corner, staring at the Professor who was parked in front of the door.

Both doors were then opened and the man rolled out onto the front steps, a smile forming on his wrinkled face.

Walking up the steps was a woman with blue skin, red hair and yellow eyes who was helping a teenage boy carry his bags.

The boy had shoulder length burgundy colored hair, tanned skin and chocolate brown eyes.

What made the group of teenagers stare, though, were the silvery grey wolf ears that were replacing a normal pair of human ears and the matching tail that swayed behind him lazily.

"Hello, Mr. Motomiya. Welcome to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. I am Charles Xavier." The Professor greeted.

"Yeah, I know. Raven already filled me in about you and the school." The wolf boy said.

Hearing the new student call the deadly Mystique by her birthgiven name made the group of five all stare on in shock while their jaws dropped.

Did he have a death wish?

"Raven?" Charles repeated with a smirk.

At that, Raven Darkholme grinned smugly as she placed a hand on top of the boy's head, scratching him behind the ears, causing him to whine lightly, but he smacked her hand away and blushed.

"What can I say? I kinda like this kid." Raven smirked at her step-brother.

Feeling highly amused by this, Charles shook his head and smiled at the two mutants standing in front of him.

"I can tell. Now, Mr. Motomiya, I hope you don't mind, but you will be getting a roommate." He informed.

Ears twitching, Rogue and Kitty silently cooed over them, the burgundy haired boy gave the Professor a worried expression.

"Um, do they know about...? I mean, will they be okay with..." He trailed off and swept his hand over himself.

This made the spying friends frown and wondered if the boy had any insecurities about the way he looked.

They wouldn't be surprised if he did.

After all, there were many mutants with physical mutations who were shuned and hated because of the way they looked.

In Bobby's mind, he couldn't understand why the boy would be insecure with his appearance.

He thought the wolf boy was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen with his caramel colored skin, chocolate brown eyes and soft features.

"You have nothing to worry about, Davis. I assure you that your roommate will have no issues with you. In fact, Mr. Rasputin, why don't you and your friends come out and introduce yourselves?" Charles grinned.

Flinching as they realized they had been caught, the group shared nervous looks before walking out from their hiding spots and made their way over to the two teachers and the new student.

Raven was smirking at them while Davis was watching them curiously.

"Davis, these are some of the students at the school. Piotr, I hope you don't mind, but Davis was asigned to be your new roommate." Charles explained.

He knew it was the best choice to make Piotr Davis' roommate since the Russian man was very gentle and kind despite his appearance.

"No, that's fine with me. Hey, I'm Piotr Rasputin, but everyone calls me Pete for short." He smiled kindly as he held his hand out to the shorter boy.

"Hey. I'm Daisuke Motomiya, but everyone calls me Davis. Don't ask why, I don't get it either." He smiled as he shook the Russian boy's hand.

Turning his eyes onto the four others teenagers, Davis grinned at them.

"Hi." He greeted.

"Hey, I'm Kitty and this is Rogue." She said.

"Nice to meet ya." Rogue waved politely.

"These two are John and Bobby." Kitty then gestured over to the blonds.

"Uh, who is who?" Davis questioned as he glanced over the two males who were staring at him.

"I'm John, but I prefer Pyro. This is Bobby." The brown eyed blond said.

He then smirked when he noticed his best friend was staring very intently at Davis.

When he saw Davis' eyes were on him, Bobby blushed and tried to ignore the smug expression John and Raven were both sending his way and the amused expression Charles had.

"H-Hi, I'm Bobby." He stuttered.

Piotr raised an eyebrow at his stutter while Raven, Kitty and Rogue all grew amused as they realized the reason Bobby had suddenly become shy.

Just then, Davis' shirt moved and a small blue head with floppy ears, a white face and red eyes crawled out from the material.

"And I'm DemiVeemon! Nice to meet everyone!" He grinned cutely.

John, Bobby and Piotr all stared with their jaws dropped while Kitty and Rogue both started gushing over the baby dragon.

"Ah, right. Hope you don't mind, but I don't go anywhere without my little partner in crime." Davis smiled down at the Digimon and patted him on the head.

"He's so cute!" Rogue cooed as she reached out with a gloved hand to pet the dragon.

"Who is he? You're little brother?" Kitty asked.

"Something like that." Davis grinned showing off his fangs.

"Anyway, we'll leave Davis to you guys to take care of. You, don't let these troublemakers talk you into anything." Raven teased.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." Davis winked up at the blue skinned woman.

With that said, Raven then walked off and Charles rolled his chair after her, leaving the group of teenagers alone.

Clearing his throat, Bobby then gained the boy's attention as he turned his dark brown eyes on him.

"Um, here, I'll help you carry those." Bobby offered.

"Thanks." Davis said as Bobby reached out to grab one of the bags.

"Come on, I'll show you up to our room." Piotr grinned at the shorter boy.

"Then after that, you can come hang out with us." Rogue said.

"Sure, sounds great." Davis smiled at the group around him.

Walking upstairs, Bobby kept glancing over at the new boy every five seconds which John, Piotr, Kitty and Rogue all noticed and were extremely amused over it.

It seemed like their ice wielder had an interest in the wolf boy.

They wondered how this would play out.

(Three months later...)

Davis was down in the kitchen, cooking food for dinner with Veemon acting as his little helper as usual.

Slicing up chicken, Davis then tossed the meat into a frying pan and while he cooked it, he added some red wine to add flavour while Veemon chopped up some vegetables.

The silvery ears on top of Davis' head twitched when he heard footsteps coming closer to the kitchen and he recognized the frigid scent of the person.

Bobby walked into the kitchen and leaned up against the door frame, staring at Davis as the wolf boy expertly cooked the food which smelt amazing.

"Hey. What're you making?" Bobby asked as he walked further into the rook.

"Coq au vin. I found the recipe on line and decided to try it out." Davis said.

"Coq au... W-What exactly is that?" The blond asked as he walked over.

He stood behind Davis and glanced over his shoulder to stare down at the chicken in the pan and noticed there was another skillet that Veemon was dropping mushrooms and onions in.

"It's a French dish that has chicken and vegetables in it." Veemon informed the ice weilder.

The dragon's eyes were filled with tears and he was rubbing at them with the side of his hand.

The onions he had used were strong and they stung his eyes.

Nodding in understanding, Bobby then looked back down at Davis and hesitantly placed his hand on the shorter male's lower back.

Over the last three months, he had been trying to get closer to the Japanese boy and had tested how much he could touch him without getting told off.

So far, his advances were welcome or perhaps they didn't bother the wolf boy who tended to be very affectionate with his friends and often touched them as well.

Feeling the cold hand pressing against his back, Davis felt chills go up his spine and tried to ignore the pleasant feeling he was getting as he focussed on his cooking.

Sensing the tension between the two males, Veemon stepped away and moved off to the bathroom to splash water on his face.

He was not going to torture himself by staying in a room with two, hormonal teenage boys.

Turning the stove off once the food was cooked and mixed together, Davis then backed away from the stove and Bobby let his hand drop, allowing the boy some room to move.

Turning around to grab some plates from the cupboards, Davis instead found himself standing chest to chest with Bobby and was staring into a pair of icy blue eyes.

Swallowing nervously, Bobby remained frozen as he stared down into the chocolate colored eyes and then glanced down to a pair of candy colored lips, wondering if they tasted as sweet as they look.

Davis remained still as he stared into a pair of the bluest eyes he had ever seen and felt content with the moment they were in.

Unknown to the two male mutants, their heads were slowly drawing closer together and Bobby's hands had moved on their own, placing themselves on Davis' waist.

"What smells so good?" John asked as he walked into the kitchen.

Jumping apart, Bobby and Davis turned to look at John who was staring at them with a surprised expression that soon morphed into a smirk.

"Was I interrupting something?" The fire bender smugly questioned.

"No, John, not at all." Bobby gave him a forced smile while his eyes reflected his annoyance.

Rogue, Kitty and Piotr then walked into the room next, all three smiling as they took in the scent of the kitchen and Veemon came running after them.

"What's that smell?" Rogue asked.

"Is dinner done yet?" Piotr questioned.

"Yeah, food's done. Grab your plates." Davis told the group.

Kitty walked over to the cupcoard and phased her hand through the wood, grabbing a plate and walked over to the stove to be served with an eager grin on her face.

"Would that count as cheating?" Veemon asked as Piotr picked him up and carried him over to the cupboard.

As everyone began to serve themselves, John nudged Bobby's side to get the boy's attention.

"So, did I walk in on something back there?" He whispered.

"I honestly don't know. I mean, it felt like it, but you know how affectionate Davis is with everyone." Bobby whispered back to his best friend.

Shaking his head at this, John then glanced over to see Davis sitting down at the table with a glass of soda while the rest of their group joined him, the girls talking about what happened during training that day.

"You need to stop with this whole admiring from afar bullshit and just ask him out. Okay? It's kinda painful watching you two act like you don't have the hots for each other." The fire bender said.

"Come on, John, I can't just ask him out. I don't even know if he's gay." Bobby told him.

Rolling his eyes in annoyance at this, John then shoved Bobby towards the table and made sure his fellow blond was sitting beside Davis.

Taking a seat beside the wolf boy, Bobby saw Davis grinning up at him before turning his attention back over to Piotr as the Russian told him about a signature move he and Logan had come up with.

Through out the meal, the group of friends laughed and joked around as they ate and after the food was done, Bobby offered to help Davis wash the dishes while John shoved everyone out of the room.

As they were leaving, John gave Bobby a pointed look and shrugged at Davis, telling his fellow blond what he intended for him to do.

"Thanks for helping me with the dishes, Bobby." Davis said.

"It's no problem. I mean, you cooked after all." Bobby gave a small smile.

Glancing over at the other boy, Bobby tried to gather up his courage to try and ask him out.

Sensing the eyes on him, Davis turned to look at Bobby and the blond blushed before ducking his head down, avoiding the other boy's eyes.

Sighing n aggravation, Davis threw his wash clothe down and turned to look up at Bobby with a firm glare on his face.

"Okay, seriously, how long is this going to take ya?" He demanded.

Stunned and confused, Bobby glanced back down at the wolf mutant, trying to figure out what he meant.

"What?" Bobby asked.

Rolling his eyes, Davis decided to be the one to act since it was obvious Bobby was too shy.

Gripping onto the taller male's shirt, Davis then pulled Bobby down and pressed his lips against the blond's, slightly surprised at the cool feeling of his lips.

Shocked at being pulled into a kiss by the Japanese male, Bobby soon melted into it and wrapped his arms around Davis' back and held him closer to his chest.

Lips shyly moved against each other, testing the way it felt since it was a new experience for both boys who had never kissed another male before.

Slowly pulling back and giving the shorter boy a lingering peck on the lips, Bobby then stared down at Davis' flushed face and was met with what could only be known as 'bedroom eyes'.

"How did you know I wanted to ask you out?" Bobby asked as he kept his arms around the boy.

"These ears aren't just to make me look cute." Davis retorted.

His wolf ears then wiggled, drawing Bobby's attention to them for a split second before looking back down at Davis' smirking face.

"You and Pyro should be more discreet while you're talking." He stated.

That made Bobby blushed and he hid his face in Davis' hair making the wolf boy laugh at the ice wielder's embarressment.

Davis was able to hear everything he and John had talked about.

How humiliating!

Lifting his head, Bobby then met Davis eyes once again and began to feel hopeful as he decided to finally ask the question.

"So, does that mean you'll go out with me?" He asked.

"I don't kiss just anyone." Davis grinned.

The end.
