"Date with a Speed Demon"
Please enjoy and review!
A teenage girl with raspberry hair, tanned skin and chocolate brown eyes was sitting on the roof of the apartment building she lived in.
She was listening to her iPod which was playing music over the roar of traffic and was sketching in her book while she saw on a lawn chair that had a pillow underneath her head.
Humming along to the song that was currently playing, the chocolate eyed young woman was focused on her sketch that she was making of the two creatures that were laying on the ground in front of her.
One of the creatures was a small blue and white dragon and he was curled up on a pillow with a silver furred kitten that had a long tail with a large red ribbon and bell attached to it.
Her partners were simply adorable together and she loved watching them.
While she was working on the shading, she was unaware of the fact that someone was standing on the rooftop behind her, watching her work with a fond expression.
Disappearing in a flash of red and gold, the man then ran over to the woman, making her hair fly around her head from the breeze that was created from his movement.
Curious over the sudden burst of wind, the woman glanced around and noticed that a peony was laid out on the page she was sketching on.
Picking the flower up and smiling softly at the sight, the woman then took a sniff at the plant.
"You're standing right behind me aren't you?" She mused.
Chuckling was heard and she turned around, smiling brightly at the sight of the man with fiery orange colored hair and bright green eyes who was dressed in a gold and red uniform.
Standing up and setting her sketch pad down, she walked over to the redhead and he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into his embrace.
"What're doing here? And in your uniform?" She asked.
"I just stopped a robbery. Thought I'd stop by and check up on my favorite person." He grinned.
"Always the charmer, Wally." The raspberry haired woman cooed.
Chuckling at that, Wally West ducked down and nuzzled his nose against hers, making the young woman giggle as her cheeks burned pink at the show of affection.
Yawning caught their attention and the couple turned their attention over to where the dragon and kitten were located, both creatures waking up from their afternoon nap.
"Davey, is it time for lunch yet?" The dragon asked as he rubbed at his eye with his paw.
The kitten licked her paw and used it to clean her face, trying to wake herself up.
Smiling brightly at her partners, Davey Motomiya turned in Wally's embrace and settled her hands on the arms that were wrapped around her waist.
Wally rested his chin on top of Davey's head, breathing in the honey scent from her hair.
"Almost, DemiVeemon. What do you two want to eat?" Davey asked the duo.
Becoming more alert, the dragon and kitten noticed that Wally had shown up and they both smiled at how the speedster was gazing down at their partner with an expression of utter adoration.
"Can we go to that new Italian restaurant that opened up?" The kitten requested shyly.
"I think that sounds like a great idea." Wally said.
Gently pulling out of the redhead's arms, Davey walked over to her partners and scooped them both up in her arms, kissing the tops of their heads which made them giggle.
"Great, come on downstairs. You can change out of that uniform and we can all go together. Unless you need to get back to saving the world from evil." Davey teased.
"I could say the same for you, my little miracle." Wally winked causing her to blush.
Flashing over to the chair to grab the sketch pad and then zipped over to his girlfriend's side, Wally leaned down and kissed her cheek.
"Come on, let's go. Did I leave my clothes in your room or the spare?" Wally asked as he began to walk down the stairs.
"They're in the spare room." Davey informed.
"Why do we have a spare room? I don't understand why we need one when DemiVeemon and I sleep in your room with you." The kitten said looking confused.
"It's in case I have guests over, Diamon. Now, come on, we better go get ready. I'm hungry." Davey smiled.
"Make that two of us." DemiVeemon pouted cutely.
Once she reached her apartment room, Davey found Wally had already changed into a pair of jeans, a white t-shirt and a plaid over shirt.
"Okay, I'm dressed." He said.
"How do you do that? We were, like, ten seconds away from you!" DemiVeemon pointed at the man.
"Super speed is super useful for plenty of things." Wally shrugged.
"Well, now you have to wait on me. I'm going to change into something okay to walk around in." Davey said as Wally glanced down at the sweats she was wearing.
"Who cares? People in this city walk around dressed in weird clothing all the time. Besides, you look amazing in everything you wear." Wally grinned.
"Kiss up." Davey rolled her arms, but blushed.
Setting Diamon and DemiVeemon down on the couch, Davey then started making her way to her room and paused by Wally, leaning up to kiss the corner of his mouth.
Smiling at that, Wally turned and watched as Davey continued walking to her bedroom, only snapping his attention over to the two Digimon after the woman's bedroom door was closed behind her.
"So, what do you two think about heading out for ice cream afterwards?" Wally asked as he zipped over to the couch and sat down beside the two Digimon, petting Diamon on the head.
"I knew there was a reason I like you." DemiVeemon smirked up at him.
The redhead rolled his eyes in amusement and continued to pet Diamon, waiting for Davey to finish changing.
A few minutes later, he heard the door to her bedroom open and he turned to find Davey walking out dressed in a pale green camisole, jean shirts and gladiator sandals.
"Okay, I'm ready. Let's go." Davey said as she placed her phone in her small black purse.
Scooping the Digimon up into his arms, Wally zoomed over to where his girlfriend was standing and handed the duo over to her.
Taking her two Digimon into her arms, Davey then yelped when she felt Wally scoop her up into his arms bridal style and grinned down at her.
"Hang on." He said.
"And now I remember why I don't like him." DemiVeemon pouted knowing his tiny tummy was going to feel uncomfortable.
It always did when Wally used his super speed to carry them around, but Davey seemed to love it.
Shaking her head at the pouting dragon, Davey prepared herself and felt Wally take off, the air around her blowing her hair around and the world fading into a kaleidoscope of colors.
The end...
