"First Love"

Please enjoy and review!

Learning that his younger brother was having a dinner party at his girlfriend's house, Damon Salvatore just couldn't resist the urge to go over and intervene.

Thankfully, he had his perfect little excuse to go over; Caroline Forbes, his girlfriend for show and breathing blood bag.

Caroline insisted on picking up a cake to bring over for dessert and Damon allowed, figuring it would help allow him entry into the home of Elena Gilbert, the girl who was a replica of his first love.

Katherine Pierce, the love of his life, the woman who had stolen his heart and who couldn't choose between him and his brother Stefan, so she decided to have them both in her life.

He was upset that he had to share Katherine with his perfect younger brother, but as long as he still had the attention and love of the beautiful woman, he didn't care.

Although, there had been moments where Damon would wish that instead of light brown eyes, he would be staring into a pair of beautiful chocolate brown eyes.

Unsure of why he would feel that way, Damon would snap himself out of the thought and thought he was imagining things.

Standing on the porch with Caroline, he waited as the doorbell was rung and heard the footsteps of everyone at the dinner table standing.

The door was then opened by Elena, the replica of Katherine, who was kinder and had a gentle aura around her.

"Surprise! Bonnie said you were doing dinner, so we brought dessert." Caroline explained as she grinned brightly.

Without waiting for an invitation, Caroline handed the cake to a stunned Elena and stepped into the house, greeting Bonnie Bennett, the great-great-grandchild of Katherine's witch-handmaiden Emily Bennett.

From the corner of his eye, Damon noticed that Caroline was pulling a third girl into a hug, greeting her enthusiastically.

"Davey, hey, I wasn't expecting to see you here tonight!" Caroline smiled happily.

He couldn't see her face, but for some reason, Damon was compelled to get a proper look at her, wanting to know who she was.

"Hope you don't mind." Damon smirked down at Elena.

"What are you doing here?" Stefan demanded.

To Damon's curiosity, Stefan had stepped protectively in front of the third girl, hiding her from his sight.

"Waiting for Elena to invite me in." Damon answered with a mischievous glint in his blue eyes.

"Oh, yeah, you can-"Elena was cut off quickly.

"No, no, no. He can't, uh, he can't stay. Can you, Damon?" Stefan looked at him, giving him a silent warning.

"Get in here." Caroline called looking confused.

"What the hell is going on?" Damon heard the third girl asked Bonnie.

"I don't know." Bonnie whispered back.

When he heard the mystery girl's voice, Damon's head picked up and Stefan seemed to curse under his breath.

There was something familiar about the way the girl's voice sounded and it sent a spark through his veins.

"We're just finishing up." Stefan said, wanting to keep his brother from entering the home and causing havoc.

"It's fine. Just come on in." Elena insisted as she gave Damon a polite smile.

Smirking, Damon then stepped through the doorway while Elena gave Stefan a scolding expression, wondering why he was being so rude.

Glancing around the house that he now had free reign of, Damon glanced over his shoulder to smile at Elena, knowing the girl was unaware of his secret intentions.

"You have a beautiful home, Elena." Damon complimented.

"Thank you." Elena nodded.

"So, why don't I go make some coffee? We can have it with the cake Care brought over." The third girl spoke up.

Feeling his blood sing once again, Damon turned and was finally able to see the form of the girl who was being hidden from him by his brother.

When he finally saw her, Damon felt his mouth go dry and his eyes grew wide in shock.

The girl had long raspberry colored hair that was pulled up into a messy bun, caramel skin, chocolate brown eyes that he had wished Katherine had and she was dressed in a white crop top with jean shorts.

As he took in the appearance of the beautiful young woman, Damon felt a surge of memories rush into his mind.

The raspberry haired woman laughed as she picked up her skirts, running through the garden outside of the Salvatore house.

"You can't catch me!" The girl teased.

"We'll see about that." Damon laughed as he gave chase.

Shrieking in glee, the girl took off running, trying not to trip over her skirts and her heels as she ran away from Damon, knowing that the man was allowing her to win.

Glancing over her shoulder to see if he was gaining on her, the woman tripped over her own feet and fell to the ground.

Eyes growing wide in worry, Damon rushed over to her side and knelt down, helping her onto her feet.

"Daisy, are you all right? Did you hurt yourself?" He fussed over her.

"Damon, darling, I'm fine. Not hurt at all. There are too many layers of this dress that keep me protected." The woman, Daisy, assured.

"If you are sure." Damon said as he brushed her hair back from her face, staring down into the chocolate brown eyes that stared up at him adoringly.

Snapping out of his memories, Damon turned his eyes back onto the girl, noticing that she was staring at him with an expression of shock on her face.

"Yeah, thanks Davey. Do you need any help?" Elena asked.

Snapping out of her daze, the raspberry haired girl turned to the brunette and gave her a smile, one that Damon automatically knew to be fake.

She was trying to pretend like nothing odd happened when she met eyes with the raven haired man.

"Nah, it's fine. After cooking in here, I think I know my way around." The girl, Davey, grinned slyly over at the brunette.

"I'll help." Damon spoke up quickly.

Everyone turned to look at him, giving him looks of confusion and surprise.

"I mean, it's the least I could do, showing up unannounced." Damon said.

"Um, okay, sure." Davey nodded.

"I'll join you. Get the plates for the cake. Elena, why don't you, Bonnie and Caroline all go into the living room?" Stefan suggested.

"Um, okay, sure." Elena said with her eyes narrowed in confusion.

As the three friends want into the living room, Davey rushed off into the kitchen, the brothers on her tail.

Once they were in the privacy of the kitchen, Damon couldn't stop himself from reacting the way he did.

Using his enhanced speed, he pushed Davey up against the wall, being as gentle as he could, placing his hands on her face and ran his eyes over the beautiful features he hadn't seen in 150 years.

"I can't believe it's really you. I-I thought you were dead. How are you here right now?" Damon asked as he felt tears stinging his eyes.

Watching the tears falling from the girl's eyes, Damon wiped away them away, never wanting to see them on her face ever again.

"I-I don't know. I don't understand what's going on." Davey said looking horribly confused over the situation.

Ever since she first arrived in Mystic Falls, she had been having dreams of herself with a handsome blue eyed man who called her Daisy Blackwell.

It confused her, especially since everything felt so real to her.

Clearing his throat, Stefan flinched when his brother and the girl who was supposed to be his future sister-in-law both turned to face him.

"I can explain this." Stefan said.

"What do you mean, Stefan?" Damon demanded.

His arms had wrapped around Davey's waist and he pulled her into his chest, holding her to him protectively.

"When Katherine first showed up, she didn't like how you spent so much time around Daisy." Stefan began.

Thinking, Damon remembered the day Katherine first arrived.

She always seemed to glare at Daisy whenever she was around and didn't seem to like how Damon fawned over the raspberry haired human constantly.

"When she heard that Damon was going to propose to you, when you were Daisy, Katherine had Emily cast a spell on Damon to take away his love and memories of you." Stefan explained.

A wave of anger surged inside of Damon as the memories of the event came rushing to him, remembering the look of absolute pain and heartbreak on Daisy's face as he looked at her and didn't know who she was.

"But how am I here? I-I mean, I should be dead, shouldn't I? I-I don't get it." Davey shook her head.

Rubbing her back gently, Damon kissed the crown of her head, wanting to provide as much comfort as he possibly could, wanting her to know that he was there for her and wouldn't be leaving her ever again.

"Emily felt bad about what she did. She actually liked you, Daisy. She cast a spell that would give the two of you a second chance at being together." Stefan explained.

"And I thought Emily hated me." Damon's lips curled into a wry grin.

"She did. She did it for Daisy, to try and give her a second chance at living a happy life." Stefan said.

"I-I-I think I need to sit down." Davey groaned.

Helping the girl over to the table, Damon sat her down and quickly made her a cup of coffee to drink while she held her head which was pounding in pain from the overwhelming amount of information.

"When the hell were you gonna tell me this?" Damon turned to his brother.

"That's my line." Davey said.

Feeling stressed that he was put in the middle of this situation, but also hopeful that this would change the way his brother had been acting over the years, Stefan then dove into the explanation.

"How could I? Damon, you didn't remember Daisy. Your memories of her were completely erased and then Katherine had her compelled to leave Mystic Falls. Emily also said that the only way you would get your memories of Daisy back was when you saw her again. With the years that went by, I didn't think that was ever going to happen. And then there's the fact that you've been obsessed with Katherine." Stefan explained.

"She can go rot in hell for all I care." Damon spoke with a coldness in his voice that made Stefan and Davey look up at him in shock.

"Good to know. But here's something I want to know. How the hell are you two still alive? Were you reincarnated or something too?" Davey asked.

Growing silent, the brothers shared a look and knew that they would have no other choice but to explain things about the supernatural to Davey.

After meeting and befriending the girl at the start of school, Stefan knew that Davey was a kind, caring person who didn't judge others until they showed their true colors.

He just hoped that she would accept the truth about what they were and that they wouldn't have to compel her to forget about them.

Kneeling down in front of Davey, Damon reached out and took her hand in his; holding it gently and he stared into her brown eyes that he loved dearly.

"We're vampires. Katherine turned us. I know you're probably scared right now, but I swear to you, I would never hurt you. Never." Damon vowed.

Staring into Damon's icy blue eyes, Davey searched them to see if he was being honest and saw the sincerity that shone in them.

Glancing over at Stefan to see if he agreed with what his brother said, Davey saw that he had the same look in his eyes as Damon and she nodded.

"Okay. I believe you guys." She said.

The brothers both sighed in relief at that, happy that she didn't appear scared of them or ready to rush off into the next room trying to warn her friends about them.

"But there's something I don't understand here." She said making the brothers look at her to see the confusion on her face.

"What is it?" Stefan asked.

"What are we supposed to do now? I mean, after what we just learned, how-how do we...deal with it?" Davey questioned.

Damon frowned at the question, unsure of how to deal with things.

He had originally come to Mystic Falls to unlock the tomb that Katherine had been sealed inside of, but now that he had his Daisy back and he learned the truth of what the vampiress had done to them, he had no intention on helping the evil bitch.

She was going to rot in that tomb and he was going to spend his time trying to win over his first love all over again.

After he finally got her back, he was never letting her go ever again.

The end.
