"Havok and Aqua"

August 13th is Daisuke Motomiya's birthday, so this is a day late. Please enjoy and review!

A tall man with blond hair and blue eyes walked up to the door of a bedroom, twisting the knob and walking inside, hoping he wouldn't have anything thrown at his head for entering without permission.

Walking inside of the room, he glanced around and found the curtains were closed while a girl with raspberry hair and tanned skin was curled up under her blankets, head resting against one of the many pillows that were in the bed.

Smiling at the sight, the blond walked over to the bed and gently pulled the blanket back, revealing the body of the woman who had a pair of triangular shaped eyes covered in blue skin on top of her head.

She was also dressed in a lilac colored bra and panty set, deciding it was too warm to sleep in pajamas.

Lying down beside the woman, the blue eyed man wrapped an arm around her and gently pulled her into his chest, leaning over to place a kiss on her cheek which made her face twitch.

"Come on, baby, it's time to wake up." He told her.

Groaning in displeasure, the woman moved back against his body, refusing to wake up.

Gaining an amused expression, the blond placed his hands on the woman's lips and turned her over onto her back, knowing she was awake now, but was being stubborn.

"Davey, you need to wake up now." he said.

"Don't wanna." She muttered.

Leaning down, he pressed his lips against her own while his hands rubbed against her warm skin, causing her to moan softly as she added force to the kiss and her arms wrapped around his shoulders.

Grinning against her lips, the man gave her a final kiss before he pulled away, watching as her eyes fluttered open to reveal two chocolate brown orbs.

"Why are you waking me up, Alex?" Davey Motomiya asked.

"Because it's your birthday and I intend on spending as much time with you as possible." Alex Summers stated.

"Great. We can start by cuddling up in bed together for a few more minutes." Davey said.

Chuckling at that, Alex allowed Davey to push him down on his back while she curled up into his arms, resting her head against his chest while her legs wrapped around one of his own.

"Seriously?" He asked in amusement.

"Hey, it's my birthday; I'll do what I want." She said and snuggled into his side.

Allowing the girl to rest for a few more minutes, Alex kept his arms around her, smiling down at her face that had a soft expression on it as she started to fall back to sleep.

Being consumed by the scents of lavender, ylang ylang, strawberry and coconut that surrounded the bed sheets, Alex felt himself being lulled to sleep as well, but fought to stay awake.

After ten more minutes, Alex decided he let Davey sleep long enough and shook her awake making the girl whine.

"Come on, baby, wake up. I have a whole day planned for us. And it'll start as soon as you get up." Alex said as he rubbed his nose against Davey's ear making her giggle.

Lifting her head up to stare into the sapphire blue eyes she adored, Davey unwrapped her legs from around Alex's leg before she stood up and made her way over to where the bathroom was located.

Opening the door to her private bathroom, Davey then turned back around to look at Alex, seeing him lounging on her bed and she bit her bottom lip.

"You wanna join me for a bath?" She asked.

It took Alex only a few seconds before he agreed and hopped off of the bed and raced over to Davey, wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her off the floor, making her screech in glee as he carried her into the bathroom.

The door was closed behind the couple and soon enough they were sitting inside of the tub, relaxing in the warm water as foam bubbles that smelled of cherry blossoms.

Alex had climbed into the tub first and lay back while Davey stepped inside next and lay against him with her back facing his torso.

In the beginning, Davey would always be worried about going into water because her legs would transform into a mermaid tail when she got wet, but she had learned some control and could transform at will now.

"What exactly do you have planned for today?" Davey asked as she blew at the bubbles in her hand.

"Ah, no, I'm not telling you. It's supposed to be a surprise." Alex said.

She sent a pout up at him, but Alex turned his head face, burying his face into her hair which he had helped her wash along with her ears.

"I don't get why you're being so secrety about it. You weren't like this before on my other birthdays." Davey commented.

Usually, Alex would wait until Davey woke up on her own before they would have breakfast together.

Afterwards, they would spend the day in bed or on the couch, waiting movies together and then Alex would give her a simple present (a stuffed animal, box of chocolates and whatnot) before they would have dinner together.

They never started out the morning with a joined bath, but it was a nice change.

"This year is special. After all, we've been together for ten years now, so I think some extra planning should be involved." Alex stated.

"Whoa." Davey breathed out in realization.

"What?" Alex asked.

"It really has been ten years. I honestly can't believe we've been together for that long." Davey laughed in amusement.

"I know. It's a hell of a milestone." Alex grinned.

They had started dating when they first met at the ages of sixteen and seventeen and the years seemed to have gone by quickly with training their powers, going to school and later on becoming teachers themselves.

Finished with bathing, the couple got dressed before Alex led Davey downstairs so they could have breakfast together before they headed out for the day.

Grabbing the keys for the car, Alex took Davey with him into New York, keeping the girl tucked into his side as she held her hat against her head to hide her ears from the public.

She still had a few issues going out into public with the way she looked since there were plenty of people who had issues with mutants.

"So, where are we going?" Davey asked as she clung to Alex's arm.

"You'll see." Alex smirked as he pulled her along with him.

As they continued walking along, Davey glanced around at the people on the streets, noticing that some children were wearing t-shirts with faces of the Avengers, Fantastic Four and Spider-Man on them.

It was typical that people hated natural born mutants, but they adored the fake ones that did more damage than good while they were trying to save the world.

"Here we are." Alex announced.

Turning to look at their destination, Davey's eyes grew wide in awe at the sight.

"You brought me to a zoo?" She asked.

"There have an exhibit here with foxes in it. I thought you might like to see them." Alex said knowing that his girlfriend loved foxes.

He supposed he could have taken her to an aquarium to see all of the aquatic animals, but he found it best to take her to a zoo since it had a few aquatic animals as well.

"Let's go!" Davey smiled as she pulled Alex off with her into the zoo.

Paying for their tickets, the couple walked into the zoo, glancing around at the different animal exhibits, being mindful of the children who were running about with their parents.

Smiling at the wonder on his girlfriend's face as she looked over the animals, grinning at the sight of the babies who played together while the adults were lounging nearby, Alex found himself feeling victorious for putting that look there.

Eventually, they found their way to the fox habitat and Davey was in awe of the different breeds of foxes that the zoo had.

There were cross foxes, marble foxes, red foxes, black foxes and grey foxes.

All of the breeds were adorable and she loved the different colors of their furs, having never seen anything like them before.

As Davey was busy staring at the adorable baby foxes that were playing together, Alex kept his arms around her waist and smiled down at her, happy to see the smile on her face.

After they were finished looking at all of the animals, the couple went off to an Italian restaurant for lunch since Alex knew Davey adored Italian food.

Once they finished lunch, the couple went for a walk in the park, Davey clinging to Alex's arm as he gripped her hand in his larger one.

Finding a bench that no one had claimed, they both sat down and Davey leaned her head on Alex's shoulder, enjoying the peace of the day and relaxed from the warm sun that shone down on her.

She looked perfectly content which made Alex feel like he had accomplished something.

They both needed a day out to relax since there had been quite a few battles going on in the city and around the world which the Avengers had tried to take care of all on their own, but needed the help of the Fantastic Four and the X-Men and also some of the DigiDestineds.

"Today was really great." Davey murmured happily.

"Glad you liked it. I just wanted us to be able to have a day together with just the two of us before we had to go out fighting again." Alex said as he kissed her head.

Smiling at that, Davey nuzzled into his side and felt herself about to fall asleep from the warm light shining down on her and the nice breeze that was gently blowing around them.

"Hey, Davey, can I ask you something?" Alex asked sounding a bit nervous.

Ears twitching under her hat when she heard the nervous tone in her boyfriend's voice, Davey glanced up at him and found him staring down at her.

"What is it?" Davey asked wondering what was on his mind.

"Well, I was just wondering...if you ever thought about...maybe...the two us getting, you know, married?" Alex questioned.

His face was unusually red as he managed to get the question out, feeling nervous and worried over what the young woman's response would be.

"Honestly, I did think about once. When we were together for about five years and I saw some of the other couples getting married after being together for even less time than that, I started wondering if we would ever do that." Davey confessed.

Alex remembered that as well, watching as Kitty Pryde and Peter Rasputin got married after only being together for two years, then having some of the men asking him when he and Davey would be tying the knot next.

It had bothered him, but Davey never pressured him about marriage, so he assumed that she wasn't ready for them to get married yet.

"Do you care...if we ever get married? I mean, is something like that really important you?" Alex asked.

"Not really. I don't need some piece of paper or a ring on my finger to be with you. We made it to ten years easily. I think we can make it even further than that without getting married. Why, is it important to you if we get married or not?" Davey asked him.

"No, I don't care about that. But, I do have something that I wanted to give you." Alex said.

Feeling him move, Davey sat up properly and watched as he pulled a black velvet box out of his pocket that had a blue bow on top.

Stunned by the sight, Davey watched as Alex opened the box to reveal two gold claddaugh rings, one of them having a heart shaped diamond that was between the two hands.

"I saw these the other day and decided to get them. They're promise rings. Even though we've been together for ten years, I want something to show that we both belonged together and that we're in this for the long haul. Even if we never get married, we're still going to be together no matter what." Alex explained.

"They're beautiful. I love them. Thank you." Davey smiled brightly.

Smiling as well, Alex took the ring with the diamond on it and slid it onto Davey's ring finger, making sure the heart was pointed towards her to symbolize she was already involved with someone.

After he slid the ring onto her finger, Alex watched as Davey took the larger ring meant for him and slid it onto his ring finger, watching as her face lit up in joy.

He then threaded his fingers through her long curly hair, gently pulling her down for him, but was interrupted by the sound of a crash.

Jumping to attention, the couple watched as a few robots flew down from the sky, some of them being destroyed by Thor and Iron-Man.

"Seriously?!" Davey and Alex groaned in frustration.

"So, you have your uniform on under your clothes?" Davey asked.

Turning to look at her, Alex watched as Davey shed off her shirt, revealing the black and blue suit she wore on mission.

"Yeah. I was worried something like this was going to happen." Alex sighed as he started to strip down on his uniform.

Fully clad in their uniforms, Aqua and Havok then turned their attention onto the robots that the Avengers were fight while people ran off screaming.

"We better get to work." Aqua said when she saw Ms. Marvel flying overhead.

With that said, they both took off running to where the fight was going on, helping the Avengers with the battle going on.

It may not have been a birthday that Aqua was expecting, but she did enjoy it and now she had a beautiful ring to show off.

The end.
