"A (Sort of) Apple Pie Life"

Here is a short oneshot for all of you. Please enjoy and review!

A tall man with shaggy brown hair and hazel eyes walked up to the old house placed in a junk yard, rolling his shoulders to work out the kinks he had from the hunt he had just returned from.

Opening the door to the house, the brunette shrugged off his jacket and searched the area for his friends who were supposed to be inside.

"Bobby? Daisy? Veemon? Where is everyone?" He called out.

Hearing noises from the kitchen, the brunette made his way over and found a woman with tanned skin, raspberry hair and brown eyes standing at the stove, mixing a sauce while he spotted a roast in the oven.

Smiling at the sight of the woman swaying side to side, he noticed that she had a par of blue earphones in her ears and was listening to her iPod.

Hanging up his jacket, the brunette walked over to the fridge and pulled out a water bottle, gulping it down as he watched the woman who was mumbling the words to a song as she cooked.

Feeling eyes on her, the woman turned around and smiled at the sight of the tall brunette and she took the earphones out, wrapping them around the green iPod she had slipped out of her bra.

She had a habit of hiding her keys, money, cellphone and other things in her bra since they were safer there than in her pockets which could be easily picked.

"Hey, baby boy. How did the hunt go? And where's Dean?" She asked walking over to him.

"The hunt was a lot easier than we thought it was gonna be. Just a simple salt and burn the body deal. We stopped by the bar for a few drinks, then Dean got distracted by one of the waitresses." The brunette rolled his eyes.

Opening up his arms, he pulled the raspberry haired woman into his chest and placed a kiss on her forehead, feeling relaxed and at peace around his girlfriend.

"Where did Bobby go off to?" He questioned.

"He went to go pick up some veggies. We were out. Now, why don't you got take a shower and relax? Dinner will be done in an hour." Daisy grinned up at him.

Nodding at that, the brunette ducked his head down and placed a kiss on her neck, breathing in the scent of strawberry, cotton candy and jasmine that clung to the woman.

"I'll be down soon and help you finish up cooking." He told her.

"Sam, you don't have to. Just relax. I can handle the food on my own. Besides, this is the first time in months that any of us has been able to enjoy a real good meal. Let me enjoy cooking it for everyone." Daisy said.

Unable to resist the pouting lips and the fluttering eyes she was sending his way, Sam found himself nodding in agreement and bent his head down to nuzzle his nose against Daisy's.

Laughing at the display of affection from the large man, Daisy pushed him off towards the bathroom and turned her attention back onto the stove, yelping when she saw the sauce bubbling.

(An hour later…)

Daisy had just taken the roast out of the oven and was carrying the pan over to the kitchen table where Bobby Singer, the Winchester brothers and Veemon were all waiting.

Sam had insisted on helping set the table and carried the bowel of steaming vegetables and mashed potatoes over while Daisy handled the sauce and roast.

At the sight of the female hunter walking to the dining table with the roast, a man with sandy colored hair and green eyes smiling brightly as he took in an overexaggerated sniff.

"Oh, yeah, now that's what I'm talking about! Haven't had any good roast in, what, like a year or something?" Dean grinned.

"It's been a while since we all got to sit down and eat a real meal." Bobby commented as he took his trucker hat off.

"No kidding. I like junk food and stuff from diners, but nothing beast a real home cooked meal. I'm ready to pig out." Veemon grinned and his red eyes sparkled.

Setting the pan down on the table, Daisy sighed out in satisfaction as she looked over the table at her small family and felt truly content with having them all there with her.

"Well, dig in, boys, before it gets cold." Daisy told them as she took off the oven mitts.

Dean and Veemon were happy to oblige and started loading up their plates with pieces of roast and the vegetables that were laid out for them.

"Slow down or you'll make a mess! Which you'll be cleanin' by the way!" Bobby scolded them as he filled up his own plate.

Shaking her head in amusement, Daisy sat down in the chair beside Sam and poured herself a glass of wine.

She had been teased by Dean about having a more dignified palate than the other hunters since she would prefer wine and champagne over beer, but she simply stated that she couldn't stand the scent or taste of the yeast filled drink.

Feeling a large hand settle down on her thigh, Daisy glanced over at her boyfriend and saw him smiling down at her, looking pleased and utterly content with the family dinner they were having.

Out of everyone in their group, Sam was the one who truly desired an apple pie life as Dean had called it, and it seemed like he was only ever able to have these moments when Daisy took charge and forced everyone to sit down and relax for a short while.

"Everything is amazing, Daize. You didn't have to do all of this." Sam told her.

"Don't be silly. I love cooking for you guys. You're not picky and you eat everything on your plate, so it doesn't go to waste." Daisy winked.

Grinning brightly at the raspberry haired hunter, Sam linked his fingers with her free hand and brought it up to his lips, placing a kiss on her knuckles.

The rest of the night was spent with the group of hunters stuffing their faces with food, loud chatter filling the room as they all spoke about past hunts they had been on or teasing Dean for striking out with a random woman he was trying to charm into bed with him.

It was a nice day and it would be one of the very few normal moments they were going to have for the next few months after they went back on the road, so they were going to make it last for as long as possible.

The end.
