"The Boy Who Lived and the Child of Miracles"
Please enjoy and review!
Walking outside on the Hogwarts' grounds, a black haired boy spotted a girl with shoulder length raspberry red hair sitting under a tree.
He stood still, his heart beating rapidly in his chest as he stared at the girl in black and yellow robes who had big brown eyes that were looking over a potion book.
The girl was Daisuke "Daisy" Motomiya who is a muggle-born witch in Hufflepuff and he had met her in their first year.
Like him, Daisy was new to the Wizarding World and wanted to learn everything she could about it.
When she met Harry Potter, she hadn't cared about him being the Boy Who Lived; in fact, she thought it was stupid for people to believe that a one year old baby could have defeated Voldemort in the first place.
Daisy liked Harry for the person he is and was happy to befriend him and not the Boy Who Lived or the heir to the Potter house.
She didn't ask him to show off his scar like Ron Weasley had and she didn't look star-struck like Ginny Weasley, no, Daisy had simply asked his name and shook his hand, treating him like he was a normal boy which he appreciated.
Harry loved spending time with Daisy and grew angered at anyone who looked down on her for being a Hufflepuff and being a muggle-born.
He almost tackled Draco Malfoy when the Slytherin boy had called Daisy a mudblood, but the girl held Harry back, not wanting the half-blood to get in trouble since the pureblood would probably twist the truth if a professor noticed them fighting.
The next day, Draco had a rash that broke out all over his body that lasted for a few days and the Weasley twins were blamed for it, but Harry had a feeling that Daisy was the one who did it because of the wicked smirk on her face when she looked at the whining pureblood.
Daisy was a crafty little witch and she attacked from the shadows, making sure no one saw her, something that Sirius Black admired and he greatly approved of her for his godson.
Besides, it was amusing to Sirius that Harry had fallen for a redheaded muggle-born just like his father had.
There was just something about Daisy that reminded Sirius of Lily and it made his heart hurt when he saw the girl with Harry, making him think of his dead best friends.
Sensing someone nearby, Daisy glanced up and saw Harry standing a few feet away from her and she smiled when she meet his emerald green eyes.
"Hey, Bambi!" She greeted.
A blush bloomed across Harry's face at the nickname Daisy had given him after she learned his Patronus was a stag.
Sirius had laughed in amusement when he heard Daisy call Harry that.
The girl had gained his approval.
"Daisy, how are you?" Harry asked as he moved over to sit beside the witch.
Hearing snoring, he looked down to find DemiVeemon curled up in Daisy's lap along with an orange and white niffler she named Nala.
Hermione Granger greatly disliked Nala since she always stole anything shiny, but Luna Lovegood had stated that that was what nifflers did.
"Fine, I'm just going over my homework." Daisy said as she showed off her book.
Honestly, Daisy had to be the only student that wasn't a Slytherin that Severus Snape gave a good grade to.
Hermione got great grades in potions as well, but Snape always complained about how the girl was an insufferable know-it-all and just had to flaunt her knowledge to everyone.
Daisy put in the work and even asked Snape for help when she didn't understand something, revealing a talent she had for brewing.
That may come from the fact that Daisy enjoys baking and mixing ingredients was very similar to brewing potions.
"Oh. I haven't really completed my potion's assignment yet." Harry said sheepishly.
"Snape's gonna be pissed and McGonagall will kill you. You don't wanna get banned from quidditch, do you?" Daisy asked.
"I don't know. We are playing Hufflepuff. Maybe your team will have a better chance at winning." Harry joked.
He realized the mistake when she lost her smile and her chocolate brown eyes hardened.
Harry forgot that Daisy had recently joined the Hufflepuff team and she could be just as competitive as Oliver Wood.
"…you want to die, don't you?" Daisy gave him a look.
"M-My ap…I'm…Sorry, my brain and mouth weren't working when I said that." Harry apologized.
"I noticed." Daisy commented.
Nala then woke up and gave a yawn, her movement waking DemiVeemon who rubbed at his eyes sleepily.
This relieved Harry since Daisy turned her attention onto them.
"What time is it?" The small blue dragon asked.
"Right around supper time. I guess I better put this stuff back in my room." Daisy said as she packed up her books.
Jumping to his feet, Harry held out a hand to Daisy and helped her stand up as she tried to juggle her books and pets so she didn't drop either of them.
"Do you want any help with those books?" Harry asked her.
"Are you offering to carry them for me?" Daisy questioned looking amused.
Nala climbed up onto Daisy's shoulder and purred happily and she nuzzled against her face, right where a silver earring with a dangling crescent moon that had blue gemstones was located.
The niffler loved how shiny and pretty these earrings were, she had been the one to pick them out, as in, she tried to steal them so Daisy had no choice but to buy them.
DemiVeemon was giving Harry a knowing look since the mischievous dragon knew about the boy's crush on the DigiDestined.
"If that's all right with you." Harry said.
Daisy gave him an amused before shaking his head.
"No, I'll be fine. I'll just need someone to get the door for me." Daisy told him.
"Let's go then." Harry gestured to the school.
The Hufflepuff smiled at him before she made her way towards the school and the Gryffindor eagerly chased after her.
The end.
