"The Two Lights"

Please enjoy and review!

The cherry blossoms were in bloom as students began making their way to school.

There were tables set up all around the yard as the older students tried to recruit the new ones to join their clubs.

One of the new students was Daisuke Motomiya a 15 year old girl with raspberry red hair, tanned skin and chocolate brown eyes who was searching the school yard for her boyfriend.

They had met while her family lived in America for a couple of years and began dating.

Sadly, he had gone back to Japan for middle school, but he promised her that they would meet again during high school.

Now here she was trying to find him.

"How difficult could it be to find this guy? He's huge and has bright red hair. He should be easily standing out in this sea of brown haired and black haired people." Chibimon complained.

The blue and white Digimon poked his head out of Daisuke's bag and his large red eyes were searching the area around him.

"I know, this shouldn't be so hard." Daisuke sighed.

Unknown to her, a boy with pastel blue hair and eyes was walking behind her, his nose buried in a book as he successfully avoiding walking into someone.

"Are we gonna have to call him?" Chibimon asked.

"Knowing my luck, Taiga probably left his cell phone at home. He does that when he's in a rush." Daisuke sighed.

Squinting her eyes, Daisuke looked up at the sun that was shining down on her, making her hair shine in the light.

It caught the attention of the blue haired boy who glanced up from his boy to see how the sunlight made everything about the girl glow.

Behind the girl, her shadow was stretched out and covered the blue haired boy who seemed to be hiding in it.

"Damn, it's bright. I should've brought my sunglasses." Daisuke complained.

Chibimon then yawned making the girl smile down at her partner before she began to yaw as well, covering her mouth with her hand that wasn't holding her bag.

"Why does school have to start in the morning?" Daisuke yawned.

"Hey, Daisuke!" A loud voice called.

Recognizing the voice, Daisuke and Chibimon turned to look as the students in the school yard seemed to jump back in shock, allowing a very tall and muscular young man with crimson red eyes and hair make his way through the crowd.

"Taiga, there you are!" Daisuke waved at him.

Smiling at the sight of his girlfriend, Taiga Kagami rushed over and scooped the girl up into his arms, making her laugh while Chibimon squeaked at being lifted up so high.

"Finally, I've been looking all over for ya." Taiga complained.

Rolling her eyes, Daisuke cupped her boyfriend's face and pulled him into a kiss, ignoring the people who were staring at the odd couple in surprise.

The blue haired boy was watching them, almost in awe as the sunlight shone down on them, beautifully enhancing their features.

Together, they cast a massive shadow that covered him completely.

Noticing how long the couple seemed to be locking lips, Chibimon rolled his eyes before clearing his throat as loudly as he could.

That made Daisuke pull back, but she pecked Taiga on the lips one final time before she wriggled around so he know she wanted to be set down.

"Where have you been? I thought we were meeting at the front gate?" Daisuke asked.

"I was trying to find where to sign up for basketball. This place is so friggin' huge I haven't found it yet." Taiga grumbled and the blue haired boy became interested in the topic.

"Maybe we should just ask. We'll find where the basketball signups are and then I can go sign up for soccer." Daisuke smiled.

Taiga seemed to flinch and rubbed the back of his neck, knowing his girlfriend was going to be very upset.

"Um, yeah, about that…" Taiga trailed off.

"What is it, Tiger?" Daisuke asked and blinked her eyes innocently.

Taiga took a step back, knowing that Daisuke wasn't going to take the news well.

"I already checked and…there's no soccer club at this school." He revealed.

Chibimon's eyes grew wide in horror before he ducked down into the bag, hoping to avoid the child of Miracles' wrath.

Large chocolate brown eyes grew wide in shock, but then they narrowed and a golden tint seemed to take over the iris as the girl's face twisted into a snarl.

"What do you mean there's no soccer club?! This is Japan! What kind-a crappy school has no soccer club?!" Daisuke shouted making the nearby students flinch back.

Blinking in surprise at the girl's rage, the blue haired boy simply stood and watched as the large redhead tried to placate his angered girlfriend who seemed to be vibrating with rage.

Well, the girl was certainly passionate.

It reminded him of a certain boy with dark blue hair with matching eyes and a dark complexion who loved basketball fiercely and would probably have the same reaction as the raspberry haired girl if he learned the school he applied to didn't have his favourite sport.

"T-Take it easy, Daisy." Taiga raised his hands in a placating manner.

"No! First I had to deal with this bullshit in America, but now here? What the hell am I supposed to do? If I can't play, I'm going to lose it. You know I have a lot of energy that builds up and needs to be worked out, Taiga." Daisuke stated.

"Not to mention her anger issues." Chibimon helpfully added as he poked his head out of the bag.

"That too!" Daisuke agreed.

Sighing at this, Taiga began to think.

He was shocked to learn that there were no sports teams for girl at Seirin.

They all seemed to be focused on boys which was confusing.

Was it because Seirin is still a new school and hadn't given much thought to adding female oriented sports teams?

There had to be something he could do.

Daisuke did love baking, but cooking wouldn't do much to help with her excess energy that needed to be worked out.

"Hey, I got it. Why don't you sign up for the basketball team? I'm sure the coach would at least let you play with us during training." Taiga suggested.

"You sure they'll go for it?" Daisuke asked as she calmed down.

Taiga grinned brightly as he placed his hands on Daisuke's shoulders.

He knew that Daisuke loved soccer.

In fact, she had been so great that she earned herself the nickname the Odaiba Wildcat because of her prowess on the field, but she was a fantastic basketball player.

She played against him all of the time back in California and they had both been coached by a former WNBA player.

"Are you kidding? The coach would have to be an idiot to not let you play." Taiga assured.

Looking into her boyfriend's crimson red eyes and seeing the eager spark that was there, Daisuke sighed, knowing that she had to at least take the chance that she could play.

But next year she was going to make sure there was a soccer team even if she had to raise hell with the school board to do it.

"Okay, let's go find where the basketball club are." Daisuke agreed.

That made Taiga give a brilliant grin before he planted a long lingering kiss on Daisuke's lips, unaware of the fact that the blue haired boy was smiling at the duo before he made his way to where he had heard the basketball club was accepting applicants.

Pulling back from the kiss, Taiga took Daisuke's hand in his and began to make his way through the thick crowd of students.

As they were walking, Daisuke frowned and glanced around, noticing that something was different.

"Hey, Taiga, did you notice that blue haired guy just staring at us before?" Daisuke asked.

"Huh? What blue haired guy?" Taiga asked.

The end.
