Hi y'all! I know it's been a minute for me, but I'm here I promise, I haven't forgotten about y'all! I just have been super busy! But I actually really love this chapter, not because of the fluff or the smutty stuff (which don't get me wrong, I do love), but because it's bringing a storyline I've been really excited to write! So I hope you like it as much as I do!

Getting the rest of the ambassadors back to their planets, while chaotic, was done fairly quickly, and when they were all gone Alex had a moment to breathe- in fact the whole Enterprise had a moment to breathe. Alex had put together a small team of people who helped her with the ambassadors, and after the last of the ambassadors had been beamed onto their own planet Alex turned and looked at her team. "Come on guys, I owe you a drink after all that," she told them before the four of them made their way to the break room where each of them got a drink- sure it was Synthahol, but at that moment no one cared.

"To the ambassadors," Alex said to them. "May we never have to deal with all that again."

"Hear hear," one of the people on her team, Jatham agreed as he tapped his drink against hers.

"Look, I know what we just did was wonderful, and the peace signing is great," Celestia commented as she sipped her drink. "But holy crap, next time we need a better system,"

"Agreed," Alex said with a nod. "I'll talk to Kirk about that next time I see him."

"Do you think it's going to happen again?" Jatham asked and Alex shrugged. Jatham was like her in the sense that this was his first mission with Starfleet- fresh from the academy, he worked in the quartermaster's office and had been lent to Alex's team when he heard that it would make everything a lot less stressful on the crew.

"I don't know," Alex admitted. "I'm not sure what we have planned next,"

"Spock doesn't tell you?" Celestia asked and Jatham glanced at her before his eyes widened as he looked back at Alex.

"Oh you're the one dating Spock!" He said in realization, making Alex chuckle.

"Yeah, I mean, technically we've only been on one date but-"

Alex didn't have an opportunity to finish her thought before speaking of the devil, Spock walked into the room and she smiled when she saw him.

"But?" Jatham prompted and she grinned.

"But it's going well," she admitted softly with a nod before looking over at Spock as he approached.

"Lieutenant," he said to her. "The Captain wishes to speak to you,"

"Understood," she stood up, paused and looked back at the team. "You guys were awesome, you totally held it together and we couldn't have done it without you," she told them and smiled. "You earned your drinks, I'll see you guys later," she told them before she turned away and followed Spock, leaving the team grinning.

When they stepped into the elevator she held on as Spock directed it to take them to the bridge. "What does the Captain want?" She asked.

"I believe to give you the same sort of praise you just gave your team," he told her, making Alex smile proudly.

Time on the Enterprise continued to move forward, as time often does, days turned into weeks, and the Enterprise had many interesting jobs, checking on different civilizations on different planets, going further into the Galaxy, and one instance of transporting confiscated animals to the closest star base.

Alex learned a lot about the universe, she continued to learn more every day and found that there were things unimaginable happening throughout the galaxy for centuries, and everything she saw was just a drop in the bucket.

Things with her and Spock seemed to be on at least a linear standing, they had their routine, they had mostly taken up residence in Spock's quarters and with that Alex had grown comfortable with the Vulcan, and he, it seemed, was comfortable with her as well.

She didn't join him to meditate every night, some she would shower and wait for him to finish, and some she would go to sleep because she knew it would be a longer meditation.

One evening after her shower she was sitting on the bed, using a bottle of nail polish she had borrowed from Mindy on her toes when she felt the touch of Spock's mind to hers, inviting her to his side. She smiled as she screwed the cap back on and then walked over to where he sat. She stood in front of him, and slipped her hands into his when he offered them.

Sitting in front of him, so she was facing him, she relaxed, her knees touching his, his hands holding hers as she settled into a relaxed position and she closed her eyes. The feeling of Spock's mind reaching out to hers was no longer foreign, it felt like she was slipping into a warm tub, and lacing her fingers through his, Alex allowed herself to sink further into his mind. Each touch of his mind, each pause to sort through her memories, to dust off the things she hadn't realized she'd forgotten made her sink further into his mind as she had grown accustomed to.

She could see his memories, memories of Vulcan children being cruel, memories of him coming home to his mother and father, she could see him running out into the woods behind their home, and recognized the places on Vulcan that he had taken her to, and the places he had shown her in his memories.

There was something incredibly intimate and relaxing about sharing a mind like this, and she loved his willingness to not only tell her what she wanted to know, but show it to her. A question rang in her mind, a memory of a conversation from some time ago, something she had meant to ask him, and like a fish darting to the light of an angler fish Spock found the question. It was an interesting sensation Alex had come to learn, she hardly even needed to think of a question to him anymore, he seemed to be able to tell what her question was and he was able to answer it in kind.

Alex felt the sensations he had felt, the urges, the plak tow, the needs and the fury and everything that the Vulcan would have found so embarrassing, and unnecessary- but she saw and felt it all, as she did when they were joined like this.

When she saw through to the end of his Pon Farr she went on her way through his mind.

When they separated minds, Alex took a moment before opening her eyes, figuring out how to categorize her thoughts and her new information was a learning curve, but Spock had given her some tips for that in the earlier days. When she did open her eyes, it was to see his staring into hers, staring, but not quite seeing.

She leaned forward then, cupping his face with both hands and kissed him on the lips, gently at first, until he responded by moving his hands to her arms, pulling her close and deepening the kiss.

Alex moved to sit on her knees, practically kneeling on his lap before his hands moved from her arms to her thighs. Lifting her was easy, he was a Vulcan, he was incredibly strong, and Alex loved the feeling of him using that strength to pick her up like she weighed nothing.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her face in it as he settled her on his lap and moved his arms to wrap around her middle. She sighed as he let his head drop to her shoulder and kissed the spot where his shoulder and his neck met.

The kisses were soft, almost lazy, ones that Spock reciprocated as he turned his head to kiss her neck before trailing the kisses along her jaw and then back down to her neck, his hands moving to the waistband of her shorts and he tugged them down. She had to adjust to get the shorts off, but when they were off she settled back in his lap, a soft sigh of pleasure released against his neck as his hands ran over her legs and then up, over her bare bottom.

No words were spoken, none were needed as he lifted her with his hips, his hands pushing his own pants away and she felt him free himself from the confines of his underwear. She busied herself, pulling her shirt over her head as Spock managed to get his pants down to his thighs and then removed his own shirt. When it was tossed to the side Alex leaned forward and softly kissed his chest, her fingers running through his chest hair as his hands moved up her bare back and then back down to her hips.

Their hands explored each others bodies, Alex touching him, kissing him as Spock let her, his head leaning back at one point as she kissed his neck and ran her fingertip ever so gently over the tip of his ear. Spock let out a shiver at the brush over his ear tip and she felt goosebumps rise on his arms, as well as his length hardening even more underneath her, pressing into her firmly as she sucked on his earlobe gently.

One of his hands was stroking her breast, his thumb circling her nipple while his other hand had dipped between her legs and was gently moving over her clit, but his hands stilled as she sat up on her knees to brush her lips along the shell of his ear. Understanding what she was doing, Spock angled himself against her entrance and leaned his head forward, giving in to the feeling as she pressed her lips to the tip of his ear, drawing a groan from the Vulcan.

She lowered herself at the sound of the groan, lowered herself over him and bit her lip at the feeling of him inside of her. She whimpered softly as she looked up at him before she started to move back up his length.

The Vulcan leaned in, pressing his forehead to hers and Alex relaxed to the touch of his mind, letting their minds merge together again, each sharing their pleasure as their bodies moved, touched, stroked and thrust.

Alex cupped his face with both hands, panting softly as Spock gripped her hips tightly, thrusting up into her as she met his thrusts, the pleasure intensified as their minds moved together as deeply as their bodies until Alex let out a cry of pleasure, her nails digging lightly into the sides of Spock's face and his own nails dug into her hips. He gave a few more thrusts of his hips before he let out his own cry of pleasure, burying his face in her neck as he came and she sighed as she wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him close as he moved his arms around her waist.

After a few minutes of panting against her neck Spock moved Alex, laying her back on the floor of the room, then ran his hands down her waist, over her thighs and then to her knees, his arms slipping under her knees and holding her legs apart as he began to thrust into her again.

Alex moaned as he thrust into her deeply before she reached up, took his face in both of her hands and pulled him down, kissing him deeply as he thrust deeply into her, no words were spoken between the two as they were one with each other.. over and over again.

The next morning Alex woke up to the shower running, she sighed and ran her hands over her face before she rolled out of bed and looked at the clock, she still had plenty of time before her shift started so she stepped into the bathroom and stepped into the shower with Spock who turned and ran his fingertips down the sides of her face.

"How are you feeling?" his deep voice made her feel calm and she smiled as she touched his hands lightly and then ran her fingers along his wrists.

"Very good," she told him before he leaned in, moving his hand to the back of her head and kissed her deeply.

When Alex got to work that afternoon- she'd be working through the afternoon and the evening, she started by making Kirk his lunch and then bringing a small stack of reports he needed to sign towards the elevator to bring to the bridge when the elevator opened and out walked Kirk.

"Oh good, there you are," he said and caught her arm, turning her around to walk with him.

"What's up?" She asked and he glanced at her. "Earth slang, what's going on?" She clarified and he pulled her along with him, Alex easily falling into step next to him.

"I just got a report from Starfleet," he explained as he pulled her into an empty lab full of plants. "A Klingon warship has been reported in the area, they seem to have some interest on one of the smaller planets in the system, it's small, but it's rich in minerals, especially Dilithium Crystals,"

"They're what make the matter-antimatter reactors work right?" She asked and he raised an eyebrow, obviously surprised at her knowledge. "I read," she pointed out as she set the tray down. "So what do you need from me?"

"Starfleet wants to find out if the Klingons have started mining on the planet- they have considered the planet uninhabitable because of the frequent ion storms and the creatures that live on the planet," he explained. "But if the Klingons have started mining here- especially for dilithium- Starfleet wants to know about it. Now we know that there's been a bit of a break in the storms, and that'll last an hour, maybe two hours before the next storm hits,"

"So you want me to go down and see what I can see?" She asked.

"I wouldn't send you if I didn't think you could do it," he told her and she nodded. "I need a soldier who can stay low, stay unseen by the enemy and who knows how to look for any irregularities in behavior,"

"Should I change out of my Starfleet uniform?" She asked and he looked at her quizzically. "Just in case anything does happen, it gives the Federation plausible deniability, I'll say I'm a- a crystal poacher or something," she explained with a shrug and a grin broke across Kirk's face.

"I knew you were the right person for the job," he said gratefully. "Meet me in the transporter room in fifteen minutes,"

It took her ten to change from her Starfleet uniform to a pair of pants, a tank top under a long sleeved shirt, a jacket and a scarf with her boots. After getting to the transporter room she found Kirk there, holding a communicator and a phaser.

"Now, you shouldn't need it, but in case you do," he explained as he handed the phaser to her. "And try not to use the communicator until you absolutely have to beam aboard. The storm shouldn't be here for another two hours, so that should give you plenty of time. We're going to be dropping you as close to the Klingon camp as possible," she nodded as she slipped both the communicator and the phaser into her pockets and then looked at him curiously.

"Does Spock know I'm going down there?"

"Ah, no," Kirk admitted. "I thought it would be better to not tell him until you came back, he'd just insist on going with you, but I think you can handle this yourself,"

"Logical," she nodded and Kirk smiled. She looked over at the head of engineering, Mr. Scott who nodded to her. "What if it takes longer than two hours?" She asked as she looked back at Kirk.

"We won't be able to beam you aboard, or communicate with you during the ion storm," he explained. "So do your best to get back here before those two hours are up.

"Understood Sir," she said before she stepped onto the transporter pad. "All right," she nodded and Kirk nodded back.

"Scotty, Energize,"

When Alex landed on the planet the first thing she noticed was how dark and cold it was. This planet was so far from the solar system's sun it made it almost infinitely winter, though it didn't snow, there was very little moisture on the surface of the planet.

She had been beamed next to a large hill made of coarse black sand and after looking around she decided to climb the hill and see what she could find. As she got towards the top of the hill she she knelt down as she looked over the peak, watching as she saw Klingons bringing what looked like cases of crystals to a small shuttle. She stayed knelt down, behind the lip in the sand dune while she watched them, waiting to see how many there were. So far she had seen three klingons, so after making note of that she waited, watching.

She had two hours, so she'd use those two hours to her advantage.

As time went on she made mental notes of what was happening, she watched the klingons as they loaded the crystals into their shuttle and tried to think of a plan that involved disabling their shuttle before the ion storm hit and leaving them there to deal with it.

The wind soon was starting to pick up and she wrapped the scarf over her nose and mouth, keeping the coarse sand from getting into either before she heard a low rumble. Looking at the sky she saw the clouds moving quickly across the sky and figured now would be a good time to call up to the Enterprise. Sitting back on her sand dune she pulled the communicator from her pocket and was about to flip it open when she really focused on what was behind her.

The sudden memory of Kirk saying that Starfleet didn't see the point in mining this planet with the ion storms and the creatures who lived on the planet came crashing back to her as she looked up at three six foot tall beings who seemed to be covered in a thick coarse dark hair and the closest one was bearing its long pinscher like teeth at her. Memories of tarantulas from her childhood came back to her as she stared at the ten beady eyes and then held up her hands in a surrender.

The surrender must have come across more as a threat than anything though to the creature because it snarled and Alex was faced with a decision, stay hidden from the klingons and not give up her location, thus leading to her inevitable demise- or run.

Alex chose to run.

After scrambling over the sand dune she stood up, running down the sandy hill, straight towards the cave the klingons were in, a quick glance over her shoulder showed the beings following her, running on all fours like apes, their powerful arms and distribution of weight making it easier for them to move over the sand as they followed.

She turned back, trying her hardest not to stumble in the thick sand, and finally made it to the bottom of the dune as the wind started to pick up.

She heard the klingons speaking amongst themselves, as she drew closer to the mouth of the cave- it was about ten yards from her when the klingons came out, holding boxed of crystals before one of them seemed to notice her running towards them, holding something in her hand.

They shouted in their own language and she gestured to them to run, waving her hands at them before a second man came from the cave and saw what was chasing Alex.

He ran to the shuttle and grabbed a long sword looking weapon, and just as Alex ran past him he was able to swing the weapon, slicing the head off of the closest creature, but the sudden death of their companion meant nothing to the others who were running at the two men.

The third came from within the cave and Alex darted into it, trying to catch her breath before she flipped open the communicator. "Alex to Enterprise, come in Enterprise," she panted desperately as the shrieks and squeals of the creatures came from outside of the cave.

"Enter… Come…" the message was garbled and statickey, Alex would have to move closer to the entrance of the cave, and as she did she tried again.

"Can you hear me? Enterprise, come in?" she asked, watching as one of the creatures bit down onto the arm of the fighting Klingon who bellowed in pain and tried to stab at the creature.

One of the Klingons was dead, she could see that clearly from where she stood and she looked around for the third and saw him grappling with one of the other creatures. She had a choice to make, soon the Klingons would be dead and she'd be next, pulling her phaser from her waistband she took aim and shot the creature that was biting the arm of the Klingon closest to her, the wind picking up speed as the last creature bit down on the head of the uninjured Klingon and with a sickening crunch she heard his neck break. The wind was coming in stronger now and Alex watched as the creature seemed to plant its feet in the sand before turning to look at its cohorts who both lay dead.

Alex was faced with another decision, and after picking up the long curved sword she realized that it seemed like it was designed to be held with two hands. It came towards her and she slashed at it as she moved out of the cave, standing between the klingon who had an injured arm, he was passed out and she could see he was losing blood- if that's what the lavender colored fluid coming from the wounds indeed was, but she didn't have too much time to think about that, she slashed at the creature with the blade, clipping it in some of its eyes and the creature began to flail on the ground, clawing at its own eyes while Alex took the opportunity to start back to the cave before she paused.

"Fuck me," she whispered as she looked back at the Klingon who was still alive. "Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck," she groaned, the sand was almost covering him now but she couldn't just leave him there- she just couldn't. So she ran back out, hooked her arms under his and dragged him out from the layer of sand that covered him and back into the cave with her.

As she dropped him on the hard ground of the cave, him landing on top of her legs, she looked back out and saw the creature coming towards them, she scrambled, her hand brushed the phaser and she grabbed it before pointing and shooting, the beam of energy hit the ceiling of the mouth of the cave, and rocks came tumbling down, crushing the creature and closing the cave off from the ion storm outside.

Alex lay back on the ground, panting as she tried to catch her breath, the unfamiliar weight of the Klingon on her legs, her heart racing from the fear and exertion, and sweat soaking her head.

How the hell was she going to explain this one to the Enterprise?

All right! I'm excited about this storyline, and I hope you all like it too! This is going to be interesting for sure! Also, because I have 14 stories that I need to update currently, I'm kind of leaving it to the readers to see which ones get my focus at the moment, so if you want me to update this one more often, leave me a review on it and I'll move this one up the list of things to focus on!

I also have a discord, message me to find out how to join!
