Happy Easter! I'm still alive, by His grace.
I do not own.
As the dragon loomed overhead, Siren got ready to fight. Suddenly, the castle shook violently. Debris fell from the ceiling. The dragon was momentarily distracted Siren immediately blasted the dragon in rapid succession in the eyes. While it was blinded, roaring in anger, she picked up Bofur and dragged him as fast as she could away from the area. They didn't get far before the dragon recovered. It was not happy.
A fireball formed in the dragon's mouth as the surrounding structure started to crumble. If the fireball didn't kill them certainly the collapse of the ceiling certainly will. She gritted her teeth willing to go down fighting when a blue light engulfed her and Bofur.
The fireball crashed into an empty space as the walls fell around the dragon.

Senarius felt something wrong. "Master!" He yelled. He finished off his opponent before turning to find the wizard. He fought his way through the crowd. The tide seemed to be turning as Senarius's forces started taking out the forces of Baratrum. Then he felt a disturbance. He couldn't explain it, but a feeling of dread filled him. "Master!"
"I feel it." The Master appeared at his elbow. "The orb has been found but not by the right people." They automatically turned their head towards the camp. Master squinted before his eyes widened. "My wizards to me!" The Master ordered. Duo and Tribus materialized immediately.
"Where's Quinque?" The wizards looked around.
"We will concern ourselves later but we must act now or all is lost." The Master held out his hands. The other wizards took hold of his and each other's. Holding hands, they formed a bubble which grew until it covered the field.
Senarius had no idea what his Master was doing but he trusted him. Then in a blink of an eye a red beam engulfed the bubble and bounced off. It went beyond the walls of the castle hitting a tower leveling it to the ground.
The wizards fell to the floor exhausted.
"Woo wee, that's some powerful magic." Tribus grunted.
"He has the orbs." Duo growled. "And where's Quinque?"
"I'm afraid something has happened to her." The Master replied. "I am afraid the fight is about to get even more dangerous."
"Siren and Bofur." Senarius reminded the Master.
"Yes, we should get them out immediately." He acquiesced. He raised his arms and in a flash of blue light Siren and Bofur were among them.
"What?" She looked around bewildered. When she realized what had happened, she gave a sigh of relief. "About time!"
"What happened?" Senarius asked.
Siren bent over to check on Bofur as she told about Van Klaus. Senarius cursed softly under his breath.
"It is as I feared." The Master muttered. "We must return to the camp."
"I will go. You must continue the fight here." Senarius said. "If Van Klaus has done anything to Roy or Reselda…"
"You think you can face someone that powerful?" Duo scoffed. "I say we cut our losses and leave." He addressed the second part to the Master. He ignored Senarius's glower.
The Master shook his head. "No, we are committed. And do you think Van Klaus would stop at this kingdom? It's a matter of time before he comes after us."
"As long as we break some legs, Tribus don't care." Tribus grinned.
"I will go with Senarius. You continue the fight here." The Master ordered.
"I need to take care of Bofur." Siren said.
"As you should." The Master agreed.
In another flash of light, Siren found herself in the tent of the camp serving the wounded.
"Even fays can't get use to that." She muttered under her breath as the healers stared dumbfounded at their sudden appearance.

Reselda gaped in horror as Van Klaus let off a blast from the orbs. She expected the field to be obliterated with all the soldiers from both sides. But then as the orbs powered up she spied a glow from the field. She thought perhaps it was the sun reflecting off a sword, but the glow grew bigger and before Van Klaus can stop, a beam blasted from the orb. The energy bounced off the shield and hit the tower of the castle. Reselda's heart sank at the destruction of a part of her home. She prayed that there was no one in or near that part of the castle. Then she turned her ire upon the scoundrel.
"You fiend! You would have killed your own men!" She yelled.
"T'would be a small loss." He said obviously irritated that it did not go as planned. "But perhaps you're right. Perhaps it be better to eliminate you." He aimed the orbs at her. Conrad stepped in front. "Ah brave man, foolish but brave." Van Klaus snickered as the orbs powered up.
Before the orbs could charge this time, Van Klaus was knocked to the ground. The orbs flew in the air.
"You think you can just waltz into our camp and take what belongs to us?" Roy asked as his War Hammer rescinded.
"Ah, the last orb has come to me." Van Klaus grinned as he pushed himself up from the ground.
"Roy! Run!" Reselda yelled as she ran for one of the orbs. A shadowy tendril snatched it before she could reach it. Conrad who was running after another had the same happen. The orbs travelled over to Van Klaus.
"Oh no you don't." Roy's legs morphed into horse legs. He galloped to intercept the orb. Something grabbed one of his leg and he fell. more tendrils arose from the ground to hold him down.
"You should have run when you had the chance." Van Klaus scoffed as he reached out to take the orbs from his shadow creature.
Sorry for the abrupt ending. I wanted to upload this before the end of the day and the end of Easter. I've been busy but this story is still being worked on. I haven't been reading other people's work. My days are spent with my mom in rehab or at work. I'm trying to end this in a satisfactory manner and soon. I will finish. Pinky promise...
