For a small moment, I'd heavily considered giving Erik the chance to give out his final words. The back of my mind even consideirng outright not going through with the whole thing. Though judging by the venomous glare he gave me from his seated position, I realized I didn't particularly care to hear the curses he'd probably throw at me.
Probably upset me even more, all things considered.
Idly wiping away the temporary tears, I took in a steady breath, and with a foot, calmly pushed the man down, his body free-falling with ease, even as his venomous glare kept fixated on me all the way down. The Red Skull idly floating behind me, watching and waiting.
A few moments passed as my expression twitched once, twice as the wind buffeting my face picked up in force before-
The piece of paper stuck to my forehead promptly fizzled away, turning to dust in the wind as my emotions regarding the man fluctuated once again- Only, to my annoyance, they hadn't completely gone back to the levels they were before I'd stuck said seal onto myself. A small part of me genuinely upset about the fact he was dead. The ache I, shouldn't even be feeling was more bothersome and noticeable than I cared for.
I couldn't help the disappointed sigh at the result as I turned to favor the very bemused former Hydra leader with a steady look as my right hand wiped away the tears on my face.
It wasn't long before the Red Skull, to my annoyance, let out a chuckle, one that grew by the second as I grit my teeth and opened up another portal.
The Soul Stone, evidently didn't care at all.
"Well, that was a waste of time," I remarked with a sigh. "Twenty minutes of my life I am never getting back."
I walked through the portal back to Killmonger's base of operations, the Red Skull's growing laughter at my back.
...
It didn't take very long to gather up the tech Wakanda had bestowed him, the man having packed it all up himself in truth. Slinging it over my shoulder, I calmly made another portal, somewhat thankful that at the very least something had come out of the whole ordeal.
Walking through the second portal, I found myself greeted by a pacing Stark- Still in his Iron Man armor, while Jane and Pepper didn't seem to be anywhere around-
"Where the hell have you been?" Nick Fury's surprising voice echoed out from behind me. "Roger's done with the announcement, we've been waiting for you-"
I promptly threw the bag at Tony's feet.
"There's at least a billion's worth of dollars of Vibranium tech in there. Enjoy." I deadpanned as Fury's voice snapped shut from behind me. "Try not to make a super robot hell-bent on destroying humanity with it." I promptly turned my gaze towards Fury. "I am guessing you're ready?" Though I couldn't help but wonder when the fucker had gotten here in the first place...
Fury's gaze snapped between me, the bag, and Tony Stark's giddy expression as the tech genius made no comment on the words, instead electing to go through the bag.
"I am sorry, did you just say vibranium? Where the hell did you get that from-" His eye narrowed.
"You deal with Warmonger?" Tony idly questioned as he appraised the vibranium suit in his hands.
"Killmonger, and yes I did."
"Is someone going to catch me up?"
"Not important," I remarked, turning towards Fury. "Wakanda put a hit out on me, sent one of their foreign operatives after me, gave him that-" I pointed to the bag, "He blew up Janes' apartment, put a clip of bullets through me- I took him to another planet and threw him down a cliff. An old nazi laughed at me when I left and I am now currently still waiting on Wakanda's next move before I settle on either sealing their goddess into a tea kettle or preferably, settling for peace."
"You killed him?" Tony questioned, surprised, his brief vibranium based distraction ignored as he turned towards me again.
"He killed me first. Didn't stick." I shrugged, idly looking around before my gaze fixated onto the reflective surface of one of the nearby tables, my expression creasing as I took in the increased size of the cursed tattoo on my forehead. My mind idly wondering what would happen if it grew-
"What. The. Hell. Are you talking about!?" Nick Fury questioned in a louder voice, his bewildered expression showing through.
"There are Nazis in space?" Was Stark's bemused response. "Leave it to N.A.S.A to leave that part out of the history books."
"Literally couldn't have made it any simpler- If any Wakandan's pop up in your radar let me know," I remarked passively. "Anywho, you said Steve Rogers was ready? Any particular targets you want to go for this time?"
Nick Fury spent a moment simply staring at me, his gaze every so often turning to take in Stark as he pulled device after device from a bag before he eventually settled on-
"If that really is Vibranium, you can't just hand it over to-"
"Sure I can."
"Sure he can."
"He pays my bills-" Not that I really had any, but if anyone knew what to do with a load of Vibranium that didn't involve more frisbees, it was Stark. Plus, he was likely the only one who'd let me use some of it if I ever needed to, without question. Not to mention he probably had the best legal means of dealing with any international crap Wakanda tried to pull to get their shit back. Though I had a feeling he'd just tell them to stuff it.
"Best investment I ever made." Stark finished, shaking his head as he called on for Jarvis's help.
"Ah, I should probably go visit Jane-" I remarked, turning to look at Fury, the man's expression almost unreadable as he just stared at the two of us, passively. "So... If that's cool with you, I think I am going to need another hour before I follow on with you- I'll portal to Steve as soon as I help her... Err, try and get past the whole assassination attempt and all... So... Yeah. If you have any follow-up questions just give 'em to Tony..." I waited for a moment, giving Fury a chance to reply, before sighing at the lack of response and promptly opened up another portal.
"You know they're practically next door right?" Tony idly remarked, not paying me much attention. "You don't need to portal everywhere Quack."
"Noted." I deadpanned and started walking through. "By the way, I am buying Jane an apartment on your card-"
"Quack, you can buy her a hotel at this point, I won't even notice." Stark deadpanned back, his voice barely filtering through as the scenery changed once again-
I almost rolled my eyes when I noticed the fact I was stood before a freakin' Starbucks of all things-
"..." I ignored the sudden commotion my arrival brought from the patrons inside, my gaze locked onto the sign on top of the establishment.
'Starkbucks.'
I let out another sigh at the ridiculous idea that Tony had probably bought the damn brand and walked inside, my gaze scouring through the floor before finally landing on a still shaken Jane Foster, currently in a quiet conversation with a very bemused, and out of place, Pepper Potts.

Edit: The amount regarding the Vibranium tech, is incorrect as the SI doesn't actually know how much it's worth. Exactly what was in the bag should be shown in some of the future chapters.
