A/N: Feel free to leave some constructive criticism! I fixed the point of view so I am going to try and write like this from now on. I also made a plot to the story but if you review and leave some ideas for me to do I will try and add them into the story. The only characters I own are original characters.
Chapter 2, Daisy Johnson
Skye woke up startled until it came back to her that she was in a hotel room, not still in that cabin being chased by SHIELD agents. She hugged her knees close to her chest and started crying, her family put her at the retreat. SHIELD chased her like she was some dangerous being, then Skye realized that she was a dangerous being. The Skye her team once knew was gone and now she was just a dangerous freak that could bring down buildings.
Skye wiped her tears and said to herself, "May would be disappointed in me if she saw me like this," Skye chuckled to herself, 'Well I guess I could try and start over, and I will make sure that no one will ever betray me again.' Skye thought seriously, "Skye is no more, now it is just Daisy Johnson." She said out loud.
Daisy walked out of the hotel and started to wander around the city, she knew she needed to get a job if she was gonna start over and start a new life. Daisy found a café shop that was hiring so she went inside and talked to the manager about getting a job.
A week later Daisy had a job at a café with being a waitress. She had got an apartment, and made friends at the café and after work everyday she would go out of the city to practice using her powers. Daisy was getting good at using her powers so she decided she needed a place to train to keep in shape. And she also loved training with May every morning so she wanted to keep on training to stay good with fighting.
Daisy found an abandoned warehouse then went inside, she looked around and moved all of the wooden boards in the middle of the room to the side. Then she went to the store and got fighting mats and some punching bags. Daisy always payed with cash because she was afraid that SHIELD would find her. After work each day she would go to the warehouse and fix it up and make it into a gym/training area. The warehouse was not to far from her rickety old apartment building and work at the café.
Once Daisy was done with going at the punching bag until she couldn't no more, she grabbed a water from the mini fridge and a towel from the rack and sat down on the bench in-between both. Daisy noticed her knuckles were red and covered in blood, then grabbed the first aid kit and cleaned the blood of off her hands then she wrapped her knuckles in bandages. Once done with that she got up, walked out of the warehouse, and back to her apartment. She opened the door to her room and closed it once she entered.
She went into the bathroom and turned on the shower, she quickly stripped and got into the steaming hot shower, closing the curtain behind her. Then Daisy suddenly felt a sharp pain coming from her soulmark on her left hip. The pain stopped after a minute then she finished up in the shower and got dressed and looked at her soulmark on her hip, it read Yes you did, and that needs to be treated. Daisy had always had those words on her body for as long as she could remember, but when she felt her soulmate's emotions Daisy always felt either pain or sadness. So she just decided to ignore it and go to bed, because Daisy already knew that with her luck she was gonna die before she even got to meet her soulmate. Once she got into bed she slowly drifted into a sleep filled with nightmares.
The next morning Daisy went to the café on foot. When she got there she saw her friend, Ava Williams, already at work early.
"You're late, Daisy" Ava said in a playful annoyed tone.
Daisy put her stuff down and replied, "Sorry, my alarm didn't go off." She didn't want to admit that she wasn't able to sleep because she had nightmares about SHIELD chasing her and catching her. But at least she was able to sleep in, kind-of.
Ava looked at her with a brow raised. She knew Daisy for almost three month and she never got much sleep, so when Daisy is late to work Ava knew it was her sleeping in. And she would rather have Daisy get sleep and go to work late then not get any sleep at all. "Whatever, get to work" Ava said to Daisy pushing her over to a person who came in.
Daisy just got done with work when she was walking to her warehouse to blow off some energy when she noticed someone was following her. She turned a corner and went into an ally, then she turned around and said to the person following her, "Come on out, I know you're there."
The person following her came out and Daisy noticed that it was a muscular man wearing a black suit. Daisy silently cured under her breath because she instantly knew when she saw the man that it was an agent of some sort, surprisingly though she kind-of hoped that it would be a drunk following her. Even if it was highly likely she still didn't like how she had to leave Houston if it was an agent. Because if it was a SHIELD agent Daisy would have to move to make sure that SHIELD didn't find her, to ensure her safety.
"I noticed you made a home here in Houston, to bad HYDRA can't allow no SHIELD agents roaming around," The man prompted while smirking as he reached for his gun.
Natasha was on an undercover mission in Houston, Texas with Clint to gather information about a HYDRA base being close by. Clint was in their apartment building when he saw a suspicious man in a black suit on the street cameras. On the comms, he told Nat to follow him; just in case.
Nat followed the man into a bar, he grabbed a beer and looked at his phone when he got a notification. She saw him look up and look around that was when she thought her cover was blown but when he payed for his drink and got up and went outside of the bar. Natasha was surprised -but of course didn't show it- and realized her cover wasn't blown because if it was then the HYDRA agent would have just attacked her, not caring if innocents saw or got hurt in the process.
"Huh, I really thought your cover was blown for a second there." Clint said honestly through the comms.
When she got up and started following the man Nat soon realized he was following someone else, although he wasn't that good at hiding. He was trying to follow a young Asian woman but when the woman suddenly rounded a corner into an ally she stopped and called out.
"Come on out, I know you're there" the woman said to the man to get him out of his hiding spot.
"I want to see how this plays out." Natasha declared to Clint in the comms.
"Fine, but be careful." Clint remarked seriously.
"I noticed you made a home here in Houston, to bad HYDRA can't allow no SHIELD agents roaming around," The man prompted while smirking as he reached for his gun.
Natasha was brought out her pistol and pointed it at the man and was gonna shoot him but it was to late. The girl tried to move out of the way and luckily for her she the bullet just scraped her arm. But when she got hit she lifted up her hand and and made the HYDRA agent fling back. Natasha quickly shot him before he could do any more damage to the woman, and looked up at her in surprise because she had powers and was an enhanced. And not only that but the now dead HYDRA agent said that the girl was a SHIELD agent.
"I was doing just fine on my own and I didn't need yourhelp," The young woman exclaimed putting a hand to her arm to try and block some of the bleeding.
"Hah! She said the words on your soulmark, and the HYDRA agent said she was a SHIELD agent." Clint said laughing because the person Nat was following was following her soulmate.
Natasha's eyes grew big because she never thought she would meet her soulmate through a HYDRA agent. "Yes you did, and that needs to be treated." Natasha told her seriously.
A/N: Ahh! Daisy found her soulmate! Sorry not sorry about making it a cliff hanger, hopefully I will post the next chapter sometime this week. I decided to turn this into a soulmate story because everyone likes a good WidowQuake story.
