A/N: A new day, a new chapter! Thank you for all of the reviews and feel free to leave more. They give me the motivation I need to continue writing. I decided to make it so when the Kree and Sif talked about Daisy's kind they mentioned that they were called inhumans so that I could make Daisy call herself an inhuman instead of calling her an enhanced. Oh and I just realized that the Retreat is in Canada and I don't really now how she got to Texas but.. let's just continue on with the story.
Chapter 3, Soulmate
Daisy stared at her in shock, did she just- was the the woman standing across from her her soulmate? She shook her head, she could not deal with having a soulmate with SHIELD and HYDRA after her. Daisy heard some sirens then took off running towards her warehouse, afraid that if the cops caught her then SHIELD would find her. The redheaded woman was hot on her heels and was talking to someone in an earpiece. They reached the warehouse and got in from the back door.
"What is this place?" Natasha asked as she entered the warehouse following her 'newfound soulmate'. As she entered she noticed that it was some sort of gym. There was punching bags on the right side of the large room, with fighting mats in the middle, a bench, mini fridge, and a towel rack opposite of the punching bags, and also a bunch of different weapons lined up on a wall and table.
Daisy walked over to the bench then replied to the redhead's question, "Welcome to my warehouse, where I train." Daisy didn't know why she had brought her here but she felt like she could trust her. Daisy sat down on the bench and pulled out a med kit from underneath it. She began to clean her wound when the redhead came over to her. "My name is Daisy, Daisy Johnson" Daisy introduced herself trying to break the awkward silence.
When Natasha was following her soulmate she told Clint through the comms where she was and told him to come to her. So when Daisy told her her name, Natasha decided that if Daisy was her soulmate she may as well say her own. "Natasha Romanoff," Nat said as Daisy snapped her head up to look at her. "Let me help" She offered her assistance to Daisy to help her with cleaning up the injury.
Daisy was even more shocked when she realized that her soulmate was an avenger so when Natasha offered her help Daisy instantly shook her head no and said, "It's only a flesh wound, I got it." Daisy didn't mean for it to come out rudely but even if Natasha was her soulmate she was still a stranger and she didn't like the idea of a stranger tending to her wounds.
"You wouldn't have gotten shot if it weren't for me so let me help" Natasha said with a glare to make Daisy know that Nat felt bad for getting her shot, even if it was just a flesh wound.
Once Daisy looked up at Natasha's eyes she saw her give her a glare and that made Daisy sigh and say, "Fine." So Daisy rolled up her sleeve to show the simple injury and it was still bleeding, of course. She watched Natasha clean it then she wrapped her arm in bandages, when she was done Daisy rolled her sleeve back down and hissed at the pain. Then she felt another person's presence and tensed, not just Natasha's and her own, but someone else was watching them.
Nat noticed Daisy visibly tense and she stood up and looked up at the ceiling where Clint came down from. Then Clint walked up to them and Natasha stood next to him and began to introduce him to Daisy, "Clint this is Daisy, Daisy this is-" Natasha pointed to Clint and was about to introduce him when she was cut off by Daisy.
Daisy glared at the other avenger that entered the warehouse. "Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye" Daisy said dryly interrupting Natasha. Daisy did not like the idea of having a soulmate as an Avenger not to mention, Black Widow. Because Avengers mean Maria Hill and Hill means SHIELD, and She could not risk getting caught by SHIELD.
"Yes.. and you are gonna have to come with us." Natasha told Daisy, and when she said that she saw Daisy give them a deadly glare but Natasha could see beyond her wall and she saw fear and betrayal.
And with that Daisy quickly gave a deadly glare and replied, "And what have I done wrong that I would have to go with you." Even though Daisy knew what she had done and what she was, she never yet admitted to herself that she was still just a dangerous freak of nature.
"Well for one, you are an enhanced. And for two, you are Natasha's soulmate and we have a little rule about soulmates." Clint responded as Daisy raised an eyebrow at the word 'rule'. So Clint just continued, "When an Avenger finds their soulmate, they come to live at the tower with us."
"No"
"What do you mean no?" It was Natasha who asked her in confusion as to why Daisy said no.
Daisy just looked at them then explained, "I mean, no, I am not going to be going with you. I have a life here, plus it would be to dangerous."
Natasha was dangerous yet she was living at the tower so she just looked at Clint and dragged him over to a corner where they did that thing where they would have a silent conversation.
Nat: What does she mean 'it would be dangerous'?
Clint: I don't know. Maybe because she is an enhanced?
Nat: Well we are all dangerous, but either way she has to come with us.
Clint: Okay, okay. What about our mission though?
Natasha looked up and saw that Daisy was gone. How did she not notice? "Looks like we are gonna have to put our mission on hold." Nat replied to Clint while starting to look for a clue as to where Daisy could have gone.
Daisy watched as Natasha pulled Clint aside to talk to him, she remembered her training with May and instantly snuck off. Daisy knew the risk she was taking with running away from the Avengers but she didn't want to deal with having a soulmate. She passed by the alley where the HYDRA agent had shot her, 'If there was one HYDRA agent there would be more agents and more agents mean a HYDRA base near by.' Daisy thought to herself.
She looked over at where the cops were in the alley and saw a little slip of paper in a pocket the dead HYDRA agent's body. Daisy made her way to the body and was able to grab the piece of paper before the cops could realize she was even there. She kept on walking keeping her head low then rounded a corner, she was able to make it to her apartment building before anybody caught her. Once inside she closed the door shut and grabbed her laptop and a few Twizzlers then sat on the couch and read what was on the paper while eating the food of the gods.
It said,
If you are reading this you have successfully taken down my agent. Just know we have always been watching you, Agent Skye, right from the start. Come to the abandoned building three blocks down from the coffee shop, at 6:00, it will say Hahi Lyard on the front of it. A lot of people will die if you decide not to come, and come alone it will be easier that way.
-Hail Hydra
When Daisy finished reading she instantly knew it was a trap but also had a plan. Because Blackwidow and Hawkeye would not have just come here just for a vacation; no, Daisy figured that they must be following a lead on HYDRA so she opened her laptop and hacked her way to find out where they were staying.
A/N: Okay I was gonna make this chapter longer but that was perfect place to stop. And the food of the gods is Twizzlers because almost every single show or book that I have read or watched has Twizzlers in it, so I like to call it the food of the gods. Oh and let me just say that Hahi Lyard is Hail Hydra but the words are scrambled; saying this just in case you didn't know what Hahi Lyard was but it will also be mentioned in the upcoming chapter.
