Welcome to the final chapter of Alluring Devil, it has been 8 months since I uploaded a new chapter, hopefully, it has been worth the wait.

Ok, in all seriousness, I have to admit that I had spent too much time not writing. I am close to graduating already and have been busy with it. Most of my time had also been focusing on my new hobby and a number of real-life things that I had to address first.

The other issue is that I was not able to write out how I want the story to proceed and how it would end. It was supposed to be longer, but not writing and thinking about it made me go "screw it, let's end it here."

But all of you are not here to see this author's notes, you are here for the final chapter. And I just want to say thank you all for being patient with me, and thank you all for reading this small fanfic.

As for a sequel to this… well, I don't think I would do that, but I'm not too sure about it.

But for now, I have another story idea that I want to see if I can work with.

The creation of Rias' cosplay costume had been going smoothly in the past week. He had checked the design of the costume, drew the details, and swiftly begun sewing them.

He had the fabric on hand already -it was expensive to even get a bolt of them- and he had the measurement so his job was easy.

Rias' cosplay costume, Grea from Manaria Friends, is a simple modified and stylized school uniform. All that it contains are a white button-up shirt and a deep red skirt. While one could argue he or Rias can just buy a button-up shirt in a store and modify it, seeing how the uniform was designed and buying one that evokes the "high-class" looks can potentially be expensive, Issei decides he might as well sew one.

And so, within the next week, Issei used all of his physical and mental energy on just making the best costume for his redhead client. It's not a challenge for him to make the uniform (aside from not having his own personal sewing machine for 3 days), but dammit, he could not deny his imagination of just how beautiful Rias would be in that costume, even without the wig, tail, and wings, making the creation process even more enjoyable for him.

It was a smooth week for Issei, he was able to finish half of the project pretty swiftly and he felt that he might be able to finish the whole costume for Rias within the next few days. In the meantime, Rias insisted that she wanted to make the fake wings and tails; as she wants to contribute to something.

"Look, just trust me, it won't be like last time." She said, and trusting her judgment, he decided to place some faith in her.

Just hope it comes out well.

Now Issei is waiting for the redhead to come to the Home Economics Clubroom so that they can test out the outfit to see if there will be anything that they need to change before finalizing everything.

In the meantime, Issei decided to check on the details of the cosplay competition that she will be attending, checking out if there will be any celebrities that will be attending and who they are. He also found out that there will be quite a huge number of contestants too, so the odds are stacked against Rias.

Regardless, Issei has faith that she would be able to at least get to the top 15 or top 10 placement in the competition. He had pulled all the stops to make the best cosplay he could for Rias and now it's all up to her to win the competition.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting."

He turned his head when Rias greeted him as she entered the room, in turn, he greeted her with a smile before he went back to a black bag that he brought along with his school bag. He then gave her the bag, where she then looked at him, silently asking if that was the costume; to that, he replied to her with a nod before he walked out of the room, giving her the privacy she needed.

This is it, Issei thought. This is the moment both of them have been waiting for. They wanted this, and Issei had done his best. Now it's just Rias and the upcoming competition.

"I put it on, Ise-kun." Rias announced behind the door.

The brown-haired boy took a deep breath, and he opened the door…

He saw beauty, he dares say an impossible beauty. Standing in front of him is Rias, but with the costume he made and the prop wings she made. She doesn't have a wig right now, but she looks even more beautiful than Grea.

Rias looked at his reaction and smiled, celebrating her victory in her mind. "I'll take it that the cosplay worked since you are gawking at me?"

Issei quickly shook his head and recovered. He walked in front of her and checked if there was anything that needed to be changed.

"So is there anywhere you feel uncomfortable?" He asked.

She moves around in the clothes, testing out if her movements are limited and if there is any part of her body that is too tight. Moving a few more times, she smiled in satisfaction, happy that everything is perfect.

"Nope, not at all, the costume feels comfortable to wear. It's amazing, Ise-kun, thank you."

Issei grinned at her response. "Glad that is the case, senpai. Say, you want to have a picture?"

Rias nodded enthusiastically, wanting to see how good she looked with the cosplay.

Seeing her enthusiasm, Issei quickly brought out his phone, signaling her to be ready for the first photo.

Once it was done, she rushed to Issei's side to see how the picture looked, and she was satisfied with the result.

It's just a simple picture of her standing in the club room, smiling gently right at the camera with her hands at her back, but the beauty of the picture is accentuated by the ray of the evening sun shining behind her, making the scene have a more romantic feeling.

"You look beautiful, senpai." Words come out of Issei's lips before his brain even processes what he just said. By the time he realized it, his face turned bright red, and nervously looked away from the girl. "I-I mean, y-you do look beautiful anyway, but erm-"

Rias giggled, finding his nervousness amusing, but decided not to tease him, at least not right now. "Thank you Ise-kun. That means a lot to me."

The boy doesn't trust his words, so he decides to just nod at her reply. The sincerity beyond those words is not something that he often gets from his clients, since most of the thanks he got were from text anyway; still, the thanks she gave him made his day.

"So, you want to take a few more before we call it a day?" Issei asked.

"Absolutely." Rias said immediately before she made a teasing smile. "And you better take those pictures look just as and better than the one we just took."

Issei chuckled at her words and shook his head a little. "What a demanding client I have."

"Deep breath… deep breath…" Rias meditated the same train of thought as she took deep breaths.

She glances around quickly, seeing the next contestant slowly walking to the stage while the rest of them wait for their turn. The redhead fiddles around her wig and her clothes a little to make sure that it is straight, then she goes back to looking around her, feeling the pressure surrounding her.

"Deep breath… it's not as bad as all those aristocratic meetings." Rias thought.

Today is the day of the competition, and Rias found herself to be very nervous. This is the first time she has entered a cosplay competition… or any competition come to think of it.

Maybe that is the reason why she is so nervous now. With the nobles, all she mostly does is to act as politely as possible while making sure she doesn't show anything that can make those snakes badmouth her or her family; in school, she can completely ignore all the compliments and admiration she receives.

Meanwhile here in this competition, she would have to present herself in front of large masses of strangers and three judges, assessing how she looks and how much in character she cosplays.

She is so deep in her mind that when her partner tapped her shoulder, she jumped in shock and let out a squeak.

"Sorry for that." Issei apologized.

Quickly calming herself, she shook her head. "No, it's ok. I was just too deep in my thoughts."

Issei nodded and stayed silent while the distant sound of murmurs and cheers from the crowd kept going behind them.

"Nervous?" Issei asked.

Rias could only nod. She doesn't think she can trust herself to not stutter with her words.

Issei stares at her for a little longer before he suddenly holds her hands with his own and squeezes them lightly.

"Hey," Issei said. "Don't worry too much alright. I'll cheer you on from the front. I'll be with you until the competition is finished."

Rias slowly processed his words for a little while before taking one more deep breath and smiling. Hearing her costume maker's words reassured her and calmed her down, at least now she has some confidence once her turn comes up.

After a few more minutes, The next person went to the stage and performed, which meant that she was up next. "Next up!"

"Here we have a newcomer! Let us give a round applause to Youko, cosplaying as Grea from Manaria Friends!"

"Alright. Let's go!" Rias lightly slaps her own cheeks before she shifts her face to a serious one as she walks up to the stage.

Her heart beat rapidly as she heard the awes and whispered praise of the audience. Scanning around the crowd, amidst the people's admiration and flashlight of cameras, only to not be able to find Issei in the crowd.

Shame, she thought to herself. Then again, it is hard to find a brown-haired person in a crowd of many different colors-

"Ah, never mind. I found him." As she found that her costume designer was slowly moving through the crowd just to be in the front row to watch her performance. He noticed her stare and gave her a quick nod, encouraging her to keep going.

So she began her performance, starting simple with different generic poses to show them Issei's work, then trying to recreate expressions and make moves and poses from the show. As she was doing it, the judges of the competition were writing down notes and looking closely at her performance. But from the looks of their expressions, she could tell that she at least made a great impression on them.

Meanwhile, the reception she got from the audience was nothing but positive. They cheered and clapped anytime she changed her poses, and Issei had a proud smile on his face the whole time.

Alas, the performance needs to end, as there is a 5 minute limit to each performance, and now her time is almost up. With that in mind, she made a small bow to the audience before giving them a gentle smile as she waved to the audience as she left.

As she walked back to the back of the stage, she took a deep breath and sigh.

"I did it." She muttered. "I finally did it!"

"You sure did." She heard from her back. The redhead turned her back to see Issei with a grin walking towards her. "So how does it feel? Up on the stage I mean."

"Nervous. A little scary, I admit. But I don't feel those after a while." She replied, then she smiled. "I think I like the feeling though."

The boy chuckled at her answer. "Never thought that I would hear the most popular girl in school actually be nervous."

She rolled her eyes and gave him a faux hump, turning her head away as if she was angry with him if her smile did not give her intention away. "Excuse me, I am a human too, you know! I'm not the perfect Madonna that everyone seems to worship." "As human as I can get anyway."

Issei laughed before Rias joined in the laugh. They both calmed down and smiled at each other for a few more seconds.

The two teenagers decide to walk towards a corner to recuperate themselves, waiting for all the contestants to show what they got to everyone. Some of them are really good, some are decent, but overall it seems like everyone has fun with the event.

Rias then heard a voice from behind. "Excuse me." They asked. Both Issei and Rias then turned back and saw a young woman holding a camera shyly. "I saw your performance and how good your cosplay is, may I take a picture?"

"Sure." Rias accepted the woman's request and walked to a wall to take the picture. Rias then began to do some poses while the woman began to take a few pictures. Once the woman is satisfied, she says a thank you before walking away with a smile as another person takes her place to take her picture.

Noticing that there are people beginning to walk toward them, Issei quickly asks all of them to form a line for taking Rias' picture.

Issei stepped on the sideline as the cameramen (and women) took photos of Rias. There are those that just wanted to take pictures of her, some of them are group pictures, and, of course, there are those that took pictures with her. Regardless, Rias was having fun with them and he couldn't help but be happy that everything turned out well.

"Attention all cosplay contestants, we are going to announce the winners of the competition, please gather at the main stage. Thank you."

Both Issei and Rias looked at each other as the announcement ended. They nodded to each other and began to walk towards where the rest of the contestants were, waiting for the host to announce the winner.

Rias took a deep breath, staring ahead at the stage right as the announcement of the winners began.

"Alright, thank you all for the wait. First, we would like to tell all of you to thank you for participating in this event, the judges said that they are very happy to see the work and passions of everyone. With that said, it is time to announce the winners of this competition."

The host clears his throat before he pulls out a paper, announcing the winners of the competition.

"Alright, let us start with our third place winner! In third place we have Hana, cosplaying as Marin Kitagawa from My Dress-Up Darling!"

Rias clapped along with the audience as the mentioned cosplayer, but in her heart, she felt nervous. She hoped that at least she would be in third place, but the announcement that she is not the 2nd runner-up made her nervous.

"On the second place," the host continued his announcement. "We have one of the new faces that took the 1st place runner-up this year! Give your standing ovation to Youko for her Grea cosplay!"

Rias jumped in shock. She actually was able to get into 2nd place despite cosplaying for the first time?

She denies it at first, then she looks at Issei giving her a large grin and a thumbs up, then she looks back at the crowd before she smiles and walks up to the stage to get her prize. Once she got it and took a quick picture, she quickly ran down and joined Issei to the side.

"We- we did it!" Rias shouted. "I mean- I just- I DON'T KNOW HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY MY FEELINGS RIGHT NOW!"

He held her shoulders, making Rias quickly look at Issei. " I think the right word is overjoyed."

Rias looked at him in the eyes and blinked for a few moments. Then she laughed out loud, completely not caring that there were other people looking at her.

"You're right." Rias calmed down. "It's just… I just realized that this might be the first time in a long while that I have achieved something that made me feel this good in a very long while."

Issei wondered about her word choices. The fact that she said those words made him wonder just how she actually felt as a person of her status (being born in riches and having huge fame and all that). But seeing how happy she is, he decided to not comment on anything and just let it be for now.

"Finally, our champion of this year's competition, we have… drumroll… Haxxor! Cosplaying Silverwing NEX! Congratulations!" The audience gave their clap and cheers as the champion walked up to the stage with a smile, happy that she got the win.

At the side of the stage, Rias sighs in silence. While she is upset that she did not get 1st place, she is still happy that at least she was able to get to be the 1st place runner (she attributes it to her having a Devil's Luck).

"Doesn't mean I will give up from here!" Rias thought with determination. She looked back at Issei, who is still looking at the champion of the competition, and made a promise to herself. She would learn how to sew from Issei and win one competition someday.

Although, becoming a cosplayer with a huge following is a huge win in her book too. That's for future Rias to ponder. For now, she wants to enjoy the rest of the convention with her newfound friend.
