He knew he shouldn't be nervous, that this was nothing, but it was something and to him it felt like it was the whole world.

"Relax, Severus, you'll get through the ceremony and then the real fun can start," Lucius teased. Severus stared at him for a moment, the words sinking in slowly. Right, after this, then...there was the reception, he was being forced to attend that. He knew everyone would want to congratulate him, slap him on the back, make some lewd remarks about the upcoming night. He'd been dragged to enough of the blasted things by her to know what to expect. She was the only reason he was doing this. If it had been entirely up to him, he'd just eloped and run away to the country side without a word to anyone, but no, she had friends, family, people that wanted to wish the happy couple well.

"I can't do this," he whispered, fiddling with the cuff links on his dress shirt.

"And I'm not allowed to let you out of this room, Severus. We both know Miss Lovegood tasked me with making sure you didn't pull a runner. Although,I should just let you, let you do something stupid and wreck your life."

"Still going on about that then?" Severus asked, rolling his black eyes. Lucius was under the impression it was Severus' fault that Narcissa had left him after all these years. Severus was convinced it was because Lord Voldemort had driven a wedge in the marriage by existing in the first place.

"She was my world!"

"She was a name your father drew from a hat in order to make an alliance," Severus commented dryly, having forgotten about running for the time being. He was about to go into a long winded and frankly boring speech when there was a knock on the door. Lucius sighed in relief as Ginny stuck her head into the room.

"They're about to get started, sirs," she stated, giving both men a look over, her eyes lingering slightly on Lucius. Severus fought back a smirk as he accidentally picked up a stray thought from Miss Weasley about how Lucius would look out of his dress robes. If Lucius wasn't being a git after all of this, Severus had half a mind to set them up.

"Right," Severus muttered, toying with his cuff link yet again. Lucius put his hand on Severus' shoulder and steered him from the room and into the adorning chapel. The guests were already seated and Severus could feel them watching them. Ginny had disappeared back to where ever it was his future bride was getting ready. Severus knew it was bad luck to see her before the wedding, but he wished she'd have been there to convince him that this wasn't a mistake. She had a way of putting things that made them make sense, even if no one else could see it. He stood there at the alter as the music started, soft at first but growing louder. He saw her walking down the aisle, past the rows of chairs holding their friends and other guests. Severus wasn't sure he considered Harry Potter a friend, but he knew Luna did. She was the vision of the sun in a bright yellow dress, a tradition in her family apparently. Her hair was down in loose waves with a golden hair comb uptop her head in the shape of the sun. Severus felt a smile spread across his face just seeing her. He could hear Lucius rolling his eyes about the fact Severus had even thought about running. Luna reached the front of the room, her eyes meeting Severus'. She smiled at him, her smile lighting up the room.

"Good afternoon everyone, we are here to day to unite Mister Severus Tobias Snape and Miss Luna Pandora Lovegood in the bond of marriage. I have been asked to leave the objection part out of the usual speech, so if anyone does object, will they please hold their tongues now and forever."

Luna let out a tiny laugh knowing how important it was to Severus that their wedding go off without any trouble. Severus nodded to her as the officiant continued talking about the usual bonds of love, of magic.

"I believe the couple has written their own vows?"

"Yes," Luna and Severus answered in unison.

"Mister Snape then."

"Luna, my Luna, my light in the darkest of days. You came into my life like the sun breaking through the clouds, showing me that even in the darkest of days, there is hope and there is love. You have saved my soul time and time again and to that I am thankful. I love you more than mere words could ever express," Severus said, taking Luna's hands in his.

"Severus," she whispered, tears forming in her blue eyes. "I...there have never been words to describe how I feel about you. All words feel hollow compared to the feelings in my heart. I have always seen you, the true you, the you that you were forced to bury to protect yourself. To me, you have never been that dark man you speak of, but a towering source of wisdom, comfort and later love. Together we have grown into something which there will never be words for, nor will there ever need to be. As of today, we shall hold our new titles in reverence to one another and to our love," Luna stated, her dreamy voice carrying over the crowd. With that, the rings were presented by Teddy Lupin, the only child the pair knew of. He had taken his ring bearer job seriously, carrying the small white heart pillow as if it were something fragile and might break in his hands. Severus plucked the white gold ring and slipped it on Luna's dainty finger. She took the other, a dark colored metal, and slid it on Severus' finger, knowing he would most likely remove it daily as to not damage it by the potions he was making.

"By the power granted to me by magic herself, I now pronounce you husband and wife," the officiant stated, raising his hands above his head as the room filled with light, with magic blessing the union of Luna and Severus. They glowed as their lips met sealing the union, the bond. Their kiss was met with applause as Ginny slowly edged closer to Lucius, inspired by Severus' bold move in marrying Luna and the heavy magic in the air. Finally Luna and Severus broke apart, turned, and faced their guests.

"Thank you all for attending, please, make your way to the reception," Luna said, her voice somehow louder than anyone's. Severus watched people slip out, making their way to the reception, the one place he really had no interest in going himself. He just wanted to be alone with his Luna.

"We don't have to stay long," Luna whispered in his ear. "Besides, no one expects us to, not with a bonding like that," she added with a tiny giggle as Severus felt his face flush. Arm in arm, they walked from the alter, past the guest who had stayed to wish them off. As they exited the building, the air was full of bubbles, little orbs that changed color as they moved, that didn't pop even when they hit something. Severus looked to his new wife.

"Weasleys' non pop bubbles," she replied. "Also environmentally friendly," she added with a laugh as the pair made their way to the building across the street to bask in well wishes, gifts they'd have to write thank you letters for later, and a brief spot of dancing before finally taking their leave of society and retreating to a tiny cottage in the country for their honeymoon.
