Well... finally an update on this goddamn story! As I said before, I was going to rewrite it, and here I am making it actually happens. If you haven't already, please read the previous chapters as they have been rewritten. So they are much better than what they used to be. But I'm not going to keep you here for long, so enjoy the story.
Warning: I do not own RWBY. Fictional events that I make are mine as well as my 3 OC's. I do not own Drake maverick/Venom.
Turns out, David, Venom, and Drake landed near the city of Vale. That was the name of the city that the heroes were in at the moment. It had been almost a week since they have landed in Remenat, yes that is what Earth is called here, and stayed with Kuzco and his mom. Luckily, Kuzco's mom didn't ask too many questions about David and Drake, so they had a place to stay for a while as they have helped runaways before. That was the lie Kuzco had come up with as they stayed there for the past six days.
And in that time, Kuzco showed the heroes his town as he taught them a little of it's history….well it's not much considering he doesn't follow a lot in the first place. But luckily they had a library, and David decided to freshen up on this world's history. Drake and Venom tries to get into it, but they could only do so much before they bored of it. It was then decided that David should be the one to read up on the information that is needed in this world as he will only share what's important to follow as to not bore them too much.
From what David found out after using his super speed and reading most of them under a day, is that this world is way different than there as he learns more about Grimms, Salem, Faunus, money, and the auras that everyone has. Apparent it is the manifestation of one's soul and can be used for a wide range of abilities. The specific abilities and their strengths differ from individual to individual and are dependent on a number of factors, such as experience, training, and innate skill.
It is predominantly used for protection from harm. Some people develop an active power called a Semblance. It's a power exhibited by certain people. It is developed from a person's Aura and typically helps in the battle against Grimm. Semblances are different between people and can range from super strength, and manipulating objects to disorienting opponents. Now because of this, David came up with a lie that he would have super strength, while Drake can use Venom as an excuse of black stretching powers. Drake was fine with it as long as they don't attract too much attention but considering they are heroes, trouble will definitely find them.
Right now, David has just left the library again after hours of research. David can go on for hours and not stop, but he just had to as he need to clear his head after the rough days he and his brothers had been on. He has been trying to build his multiverse device, that can travel to any universe. But the probability is the parts he needs, which he doesn't have money for as well as the power source needed for it. Which is something uncommon as he has no idea if it even exists in this world or not. As he stroll through the city, David saw that it didn't look any different from the ones that he's seen, well on Earth anyway, and it looked relatively peaceful.
"Looks like this place doesn't have too many problems." thought David as he turned around the corner.
Just as he did so, the young man saw some people cowering back in fear of something. raising an eyebrow at the situation, David made his way through the crowd and saw it was a group of men. roughly five or six, all of them dressed in black suits with matching hats and shoes, red sunglasses, and a red tie, with a small amount of variation. All of them have black hair with some having a black mustache as well. They also seem to have the same skin color.
One in particular stood out, a man with bright, long, orange hair with long bangs covering his right eye. He had slanted, dark-green eyes as black eyeliner traced his visible left eye covered by a black bowler hat with a small feather tucked into it's red band and wore an immaculate red-lined white suit with long black pants and black shoes. His accessories include a small gray scarf, black gloves with buckled sleeves. He and the rest of the group were walking down the street as if they owned them.
Seeing the way people fear towards them gave him the feeling that theyse people were dangerous and need to be stopped. As of this moment, the man with the bowler hat was someone that David needed to keep an eye on. Deciding to tail them, the young man made sure to keep out of sight.
As they walked through an alleyway, the young hero could only wonder where these men were going. Though robbing a place in the middle of the night, doesn't look too bad of an idea, does it?
Once they walked out into the open, the leader of the group took out a cigar from his pocket and lights it up without even using a lighter.
That immediately got David's attention, making him realize that this man must possess either a fire-based semblance or someone must be really good at lighting things without even touching it at all. But he didn't put it past him since he was still new in this world.
It didn't take long for them to stand in front of a store, one that went by the name of 'Dust Till Dawn'.
Quickly jumping onto the roof, David watches as the men entered the shop that seems to have an old man at the register.
Meanwhile inside, the leader of the group, who is called Roman Torchwick, began to do what he came here to do while walking up to the old man. "You know how hard it is to find a dust shop open this late?" Roman asked as one of the henchmen pointed a gun at the old man's face.
The man instantly raise his hand and said, "P-please, just take my lien and leave."
"Shhh, shhh, shhh, shhh, calm down, we're not here for your money." Roman said to reinsure him he wasn't after that as he look at the guys in black and said, "Grab the dust."
Soon enough the guys in black went to the dispensers of dust, hook a container to them and drain them for all their worth. Another guy in black came up with a case and said, "Crystal. Burn. Uncut." The old for both his safety and the other costumer's safety did what he was told while he reach down to the crystal dust and started to pull them out few at a time.
As one of the henchmen went to the other side for dust, he stop as he saw someone in the back. A person, most likely a teen girl, was reading magazines and listening to This Will Be the Day on her headset as she read. The thug immediately pulled out a weapon and said, "Hand in the air where I can see them."
The girl didn't move or really seem to be hearing him as the guy said, "Hey do you have a death wish I said hands in the air." Reaching over grab her shoulder and pull her out of her reading as she said, "Hu?"
The henchman saw the headset as he pointed at them, the girl understood and pull them down to hear what the man was saying as she said, "Yes?"
"I said, put your hands in the air, now!" the guy said to the red hooded girl.
The girl asked as if they are actually serious right now, "Are you… robbing me?"
"Yes!" the guy was tired of saying it over, as the girl said, "Oh." The girl forms a smirk on her face as she get's to have some excitement.
Roman is waiting for his men to finish the heist when a "Hey!" and "Hyah!" are heard, and the threatening henchman flies past him. Roman calmly motions for another to handle the girl.
Another thug came in and pointed his gun at the girl. "Freeze!" He called as he pointed his weapon at the girl.
That's when the window still was soon shattered as the thug was thrown out of it while the girl followed. David's widen in shock, from all years of fighting aliens, and the supernatural, he had never seen a scene quite like this.
Standing in front of the group of the men who remained, was a young girl who didn't look any older than his age in a red and black outfit. The girl is a fair-skinned girl with black, choppy hair that gradates to dark red at the tips. She wears a long-sleeved thick black blouse with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, a black waist cinched with red lacing up the front and a black skirt with red trim. She also wears a pair of thick black stockings and black combat boots with red laces, red trim around the top, and red soles. Her outfit is topped by a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulders by cross-shaped pins. Her emblem appears as a large silver scattering rose brooch that is pinned to a wide black belt slung around her hips on an angle, which also carries silver bullets and a silver pouch.
The only thing that truly stood out were silver eyes, filled with innocent about the world around her. However, this fifteen-year-old girl was wielding a giant crimson scythe as she twirls it around. Seeing a girl wielding a weapon of that size was shocking, to say the least.
David was originally going to stop this from getting any further but was curious about what the girl could do. As there was a stare-off between her and the group of criminals, Roman spoke up, "Okay," he said lowly, "Well, get her!" ordered the leader, with the remaining henchmen nodding and started attacking the girl.
The henchman head out of the shop and charges at the girl, who spins around her scythe and kicks the first approaching criminal in the face. She gets the scythe out of the ground and fires it off to hit another one with the butt of her weapon, sending him flying.
She fires again and brings the side down on one attacker and dodges the next's gunfire with her sniper rifle's speed, getting close enough to knock him into the air and follow him upwards so she can beat him away to Roman's feet.
Meanwhile, David was flabbergasted by what he saw. It wasn't every day he could witness a girl, who wielded an amazing weapon, kicking some serious butt. Sure he has seen some individuals like Wonder Girl, and Omni-X, but not like this.
Once looking over the bodies of his henchman, Roman just sighed, "You were worth very cent. Truly, you were." He said with his voice dripping with heavy annoyed sarcasm.
He then looked at Ruby, dropping his cigar and crushing it with his cane as approaching police sirens are heard. "Well, Red, I think we can all say it's been an eventful evening, and as much I'd love to stick around..." the man raises his cane and opens the bottom to reveal the muzzle of the gun part of his cane with a targeting reticle.
"...I'm afraid this is where we part ways." he uttered, pressing a button on his cane, causing a red flare to fly out of the muzzle of the cane.
Just as Roman fired the explosive red Dust flare at the girl, she moved out of the way, however, what she didn't account for was the strength of the blast.
Once the explosion went off, Ruby didn't feel anything at first. Then a few moments later, the girl opened her eyes, revealing their silver color. Her vision took a minute to see a strange figure standing in front of her, with his back to her. The figure appeared to be a little taller and not as skinny than the average person, but similar in comparison
In front of her, was David as he had jumped in and saved her in time. All in all, both the girl and Roman were quite surprised when the boy appeared out of nowhere. As the dust settled, Roman saw the teen boy and shook his head for a moment before calling out to it, "Now, who the hell are you?"
David gives the man a glare. "Someone you don't want to mess around with."
Roman could only snort, "Yeah, and that's coming from the boy that's interfering with my robbery." he retorted, preparing to fire another shot at David and make his escape. Once he felt his weapon was ready to go, the man lifted his cane once more and fired at the boy.
This time would be different, however, and as it made contact with the Kryptonian, he could feel the force of the explosion, but it wasn't enough to move him.
"Woah... didn't think that thing would pack a punch like that." David thought as the explosion didn't hurt that much to him.
In the distance, David noticed Roman running towards a building with a ladder attached to it. Just as he was about to go after the criminal, he remembered the girl who was originally fighting him. Looking over to his right, he saw the girl getting up from the ground.
"You okay?" David asked.
At first, the girl looked surprised to see him still standing there, but her demeanor changed within less than an instant, "Oh my god! That was awesome! How can you take that like it's nothing?! How did you appear in front of me?! Is it your semblance?!" she asked the Kryptonian.
David was surprised to see how quickly the girl went from being hesitant to full-out excitement.
Giving her a look, the Kryptonian reminded her of what needed to be done, "How about I tell you later if there's time, but right now, there's a guy with a bowler hat that we need to go after."
Looking at the shopkeeper, the girl named Ruby Rose asked him, "You okay if we go after him?"
The old man merely said, "Uh huh."
Ruby had then proceeded to use her weapon; Crescent Rose, to get to the top of the building. Wondering where the boy her age went, Ruby looked back as she was scaling the side of the building to see the boy currently his super strength to "fly" up to the roof.
A look of excitement was present on Ruby's face. "That is awesome!". That was all she could say.
It wasn't every day that Ruby got to see something like this. Heck, even in her wildest dreams she could never imagine herself meeting someone or something was entirely made of fire. Realizing that she was in the middle of something important, the girl continued to scale the building until she jumped onto the roof of the building, landing a few meters away from Roman.
"Hey!" she called.
Roman seemed to have muttered something under his breath, "Persistent..."
David landed next to her within a few moments, curious as to where the man was supposed to go.
Until he heard the sounds of engines on the other side of the building, right where Roman was currently standing at the moment. Within moments, there was a massive aircraft appeared behind the criminal.
As the wind created by the aircraft intensified, both Ruby and David covered their eyes.
Taking a red gem from his coat, Roman laughed, "End of the line, kids."
Throwing the red gem on the ground, it didn't take long for David to realize what it was that he threw.
Immediately, David as well as Ruby saw Roman fire his cane/rifle at it. This was when David knew exactly what needs to happen.
Just as the resounding explosion went off, Ruby felt a pair of strong arms carrying her, but they felt like a hard stone almost. Opening her eyes, the silver-eyed girl saw that David have saved her from the explosions. The debree fell on him as it didn't even hurt him at all as he had covered Ruby in the process.
As the dust settled, Roman saw that the girl survived as she was being put back on her feet by boy
Muttering something under his breath, the criminal took out his cane and prepared to fire off another round. Just as the round flew out of the rifle, the man couldn't help but feel smug.
"Whoa-ho-ho-ho!" Roman couldn't help but laugh until he noticed something that caught his eye, "Huh?"
A middle-aged woman has very light blonde hair tied back in a bun with a curl hanging down the right side of her face. Her eyes are bright green and she wears thin ovular glasses. She has dangling teal earrings that match the hanging pendant on her collar. She wears a white long-sleeved, pleated top that has a wide keyhole neckline and gauntlet cuffs that flare in pleats at the wrist. Her lower body is covered by a black high-waisted pencil skirt with bronze buttons and black-brown stockings. She also wears black shoes with bronze heels and a cape that is purple on the inside and black on the outside. The cut of the cape is stylized to end in flames and arrows, with a row of diamond-shaped bronze beads on the back. Above this line of beads appears an emblem of a tiara that is her personal symbol.
She was in front of Ruby and the Diamondhead, casting a purple circle of protection over them with her riding crop. As Ruby looks on, Glynda Goodwitch waves her weapon and summons several streaks of purple energy at the Bullhead.
Roman is thrown around in the back until he goes to the cockpit, where a woman with ashen-black hair in a dark-red, off-the-shoulders, v-neck mini dress with yellow designs, her face unseen, is struggling with the controls.
"We got a Huntress!" Roman yelled, knowing that things would go south from here on out.
The woman in the red dress got off from the seat and headed towards the back as Roman takes control of the Bullhead.
While the huntress with David and Ruby was glowing purple for a moment, aims another blast above the Bullhead, resulting in a dark storm cloud right over the VTOL aircraft.
"The hell...?" muttered Roman when seeing the clouds forming around them. Feeling that something bad was going to happen if they didn't get out of here. And he would get his answer within a few moments.
With a flick of her riding crop, large jagged hail starts falling from the clouds, pummeling the Bullhead, and even breaks through the window, narrowly missing Roman's head.
The woman in red reaches the back and her arms and chest light up like fire, aiming a burst of energy at Glynda.
The huntress blocks it, but the flame splatters behind her and glows hot with the enemy's raised hand. Glynda backflips out of the way as the explosion destroys part of the roof she was standing on. She magically uses her riding crop to gather the shards as she creates a large arrow, which she throws at the Bullhead.
The fiery woman shatters the arrow as the wreckage separates and reshapes into more arrows that encircle the Bullhead, but summons several glowing rings around herself that expand and destroy the shards.
David started firing off his heat vision at the aircraft, which was overwhelming the woman in the red dress to some degree. However, she managed to hold them off long enough for her to use a burst of energy, causing the ground underneath David to explode. Throwing him back a few feet, but still standing.
Ruby, finally acting, reverts her scythe into its rifle form to fire at the woman, who blocks each shot and creates several blazing circles around her two opponents. Glynda telekinetically pushes Ruby and rolls herself out of the explosion's radius; looking up to see the hatch close and the Bullhead fly away.
Looking at the woman who helped them, Ruby had a look of awestruck, "You're a Huntress!" putting on a pleading, awe-stricken face, "Can I have your autograph?!"
However, the blonde huntress was focused on the boy that help them.
"You there." she said while looking right at David, "I need you to come with me." she said, or more like ordered him to.
Though David wasn't in the mood to deal with the authorities at the moment, he knew that maybe he should go with them to help with the situation. Maybe she knows someone that can help him, Drake, and Venom a way back home. Plus he would immediately be tracked down to Kuzco's house as he doesn't want him and his mom to get in trouble so with reluctance, he decided to go with this woman.
Glynda then focused her attention on the said girl. All she did was gave the girl a blank look, letting her know she wasn't amused at the moment.
"We're in trouble, aren't we?" Ruby asked, having a feeling that it was the case.
AAAAANNNNNDDDD THAT"S A WRAP FOR THIS CHAPTER! I hope you all enjoy it as I plan on finishing the series. Was going to put the new schedule on here, but I figure I should wait until Earth's Mighties Heroes is done being rewritten, so you have to wait for that. Otherwise please follow/favorite this series as it helps me want to write more of this. Also, leave a comment if you have any suggestions you might want to see, but otherwise, I'm out. PEACE!
