If you've read the rest of this fic, you'll probably know that it's anti-wanda and Steve but it's pretty heavy in this chapter so if you don't want to read that kinda stuff you should probably skip this chapter. But anyway, I wasn't really planning on writing another chapter but here we are, I hope it ends things better than the last one. :)

45 minutes after the death of Thanos

Tony was lying face down on one of the Compounds couches in the main area. Fighting for over three hours straight would do that to a person, Tony was pretty sure the only reason he was still conscious was because of Hydra's Bullshit. But hey, he was still alive which was a bonus. Though really, it hadn't been as difficult as he had anticipated, especially as they had two gods on their side. A nice shot from Thor had taken down the ships containing the Chitauri, and Vision and Wanda had managed to take Thanos down. Without the Stones at his command, he hadn't been any more difficult than a generic villain of the week they used to fight before the Civil War.

Sure, Tony would have to employ an entire force of gardeners to fix the Compounds lawns, but it could've been much worse, really this was the best-case scenario. Tony couldn't remember the last time a battle had ended with this little collateral damage.

"Boss, Shield Agents have converged outside the Compound, Agent Fury is requesting entry," Tony groaned as he pushed himself into a sitting position, nudging Rhodey awake as he did so,

"Did he say what he wanted,"

"He said he received an anonymous tip, and he has to follow it up. He wants to meet with the Avengers."

"Uh, sure let him in, just him for now. And wake the others up please Fri,"

"Of course Boss."

"What's going on Tony," murmured Rhodey,

"Fury's here for something or other," he replied, letting his head fall back on the couch as he tried to find the energy to make himself stand up. The others began shuffling into the room – minus the Guardians who were all sleeping peacefully in the spare rooms - exhaustion following all of them except Thor, Loki, and Vision.

"Is there a reason we're awake, Stark?" asked Rogers giving Tony a tired glare. Tony resisted the urge to roll his eyes,

"Yes, Fury's here wants to talk to us," he said shortly.

"Why," demanded the Witch.

"I've received disturbing information and I'm required to see how true it is," stated Fury, entering the room before anyone else could say anything.

He simply stood there for a moment, surveying the group before him.

"First off, congratulations are in order." He said, "Thanos was handled quickly and efficiently with no civilian casualties; secondly, however, it seems that Thanos isn't the only threat we have to deal with today." The tension in the room spiked, tony sat up straighter, what now? What else is there? He was so focused he missed Thor and Loki giving each other a knowing look. "Unfortunately, that threat is in this very room," continued Fury, his gaze settling on Wanda.

The room was in an uproar, Rogers and Barton were yelling at Fury, Wanda looked like she couldn't decide to look outraged or play the victim, Natasha was trying to reason with Fury and Barnes was yelling at Steve to calm down. Tony simply stared at Loki, he was the only one who could have tipped Fury off, otherwise, it would have had to be one hell of a coincidence.

"Quiet," bellowed Fury, a thin silence descending over them. "Less than half an hour ago, I was contacted by Loki who told me that there is a clear residue of Maximoff's magic in your minds," Fury paused to let this information sink in before he got ready to continue,

Rogers had other ideas, "No offense Sir, but due to this information coming from Loki, it isn't exactly reliable," Fury simply looked at Rogers as if he was purposely being stupid,

"Which is why Thor backed him up on the claim." He stated. All eyes turned to Thor,

"What?" chocked Rogers,

"I apologise for any deception, but when my brother brought this to my attention I had to act, mental manipulation is against most cosmic laws and Earth falls under such laws, I cannot stand by and watch as this Witch manipulates you."

"How do you know Loki wasn't lying to you," hissed Barton, coming to stand protectively in front of Wanda, Thor's eyes hardened,

"I am not as proficient in Seiðr magic but once my brother pointed it out to me it was very clear to see her magic woven through your minds, it isn't something my brother could replicate."

"This is ridiculous, why would I be doing anything to their minds!" cried Wanda, crocodile tears streaming down her cheeks, Rogers moved slightly to comfort her, giving Wanda a perfect view of Tony, who had been watching the proceedings with a slightly detached fascination.

"You!" she growled, her red-tinted eyes meeting Tony's "this is all your fault, you're trying to turn them all against me, you just want to watch me suffer," she tried to lunge at Tony, but Rogers had the sense to catch her before she could make herself look any more guilty. Tony stood up from the couch, feeling less vulnerable standing up, he had to resist the urge to call upon his nanotech.

"Hey, this hasn't got anything to do with me sweetheart, and believe it or not unlike you I don't take joy in watching other people suffer," okay, that wasn't the wisest thing to say as she responded by screaming nonsense at him.

"Ms. Maximoff, it would be wise of you to calm down, you are only managing to make yourself look guilty," she instantly did so, more fake tears welling in her eyes,

"Agent Fury, you must believe me, I have no intention of hurting anyone, this is clearly a ploy by Stark to get me of the Avengers. He hates me," she blubbered, clinging to Rogers as if she hadn't just tried to attack Tony,

"Mr. Stark is not the one showing any hatred for anyone in here," the unlike you went unspoken, but they all heard it. "regardless, due to these… allegations I have to make sure if they are true or not, I've contacted the Sorcerers of Kamar-Taj who will observe Ms. Maximoff to see if any of this is true. If it is, they will help her control her powers if she is doing it unknowingly, however if she has been doing this purposely, she will likely be sent to prison for her actions."

"Fury, she's just a kid, you can't do this. She can't be held like some sort of prisoner," ahh, there was Rogers leaping to her defence.

"Did you not hear me, Captain? She will only be held as a prisoner if she is proven to be guilty otherwise, she will be simply taught how to control her magic,"

"But we can help her. She needs to be in an environment with people who care for her," Fury pinched his nose, looking like he was losing brain cells just listening to this, even Natasha was giving Rogers a weird look. Tony couldn't blame them, it was like Rogers couldn't even hear what Fury was saying,

"You have no way of helping her control her powers Rogers, what's the problem with letting others help her out," cut in Rhodey, who was looking pretty pissed off.

"I don't want to be a prisoner again," whispered Wanda, attempting to make pleading eyes at Rogers and sending a death glare at Tony simultaneously. Tony almost through his hands up in disbelief,

"You were wanted by the Government. You killed people! Of course you were imprisoned," he shot back, completely done with this. In his opinion, this was more than reasonable.

He was completely ignored by them, unsurprising since he was making her out to be something else than this misguided child, who was 29 by the way. Yes, he'd checked her file.

"I've never even heard of the Kamar-Taj Sorcerers," added Barton, who was looking conflicted.

"Unsurprising," came a new but familiar voice. Dr. Strange was leaning against one of the doorways, watching their little group, "we normally keep to ourselves." He came further into the room. "I was just informed that Fury had contacted the Kamar-Taj about the Scarlet Witch," he continued, "They'll be here momentarily."

Wanda glowed, her hands began to glow ever so slightly, and the room began to shake. "I will not let you take me,"

"Ms. Maximoff, I must insist you stop," said Vision speaking up for the first time. He was looking at Wanda as if he didn't recognise her – or as if he was seeing her properly for the first time. Tony glanced around the room. He was in his amour, Thor's grip on Mjolnir was tighter, even Fury had his hand on his gun. Both Vision and Loki were ready to react. Wanda stared around the room, looking like a cornered animal, she was smart enough to know she was outnumbered.

Three orange portals opened, Tony recognising them as the same thing Strange had used to leave his house. A group of Sorcerers exited, they conversed quietly with Strange while everyone stayed ready for a fight,

"Ms. Maximoff, if you would come with us," said Strange, gesturing to the portal, Wanda hesitated but realised there was nothing else she could do, she reluctantly followed,

"You'll pay for this Stark." She muttered, before passing into a portal, Rogers tried to follow her, but the portal closed before he could. Everyone relaxed and Tony made his nanotech retract.

Fury looked around the room, "Now that's done, we move on to the next point,"

"What else is there," grumbled Rogers.

"Over the last two years, the UN has been in discussion over the events over the accords. We have been informed that any members of the rogue Avengers will have to be re-evaluated over whether they are fit to be in the Avengers, also," now Fury turned his attention to Rogers, "a hearing will be set up for Steve Rogers. It will be to see if a jury and judge believe that the civilian casualties caused in his escape from Officers to be excused due to the surrounding circumstances. I wouldn't bank on it," added Fury.

"What! I was just trying to save Bucky,"

"That doesn't excuse anything," whispered Bucky, who was looking at Steve with quiet anger. Fury nodded and gestured to Rogers, Natasha, and Barton,

"You three come with me," Tony watched in shock as Fury led the three away. Tony just collapsed onto the couch. Rhodey swung an arm around his shoulders and pulled him into a side hug.

"Come on, Tones, let's go home." Home yeah, With the Guardians and Rhodey, Peter and Loki, hey maybe he could even get to the point where he could establish a new friendship with Thor and Bruce. He wouldn't have to worry about Rogers or Wanda ever again. Thanos was dead and would leave him be and he had the biggest friendship group he had ever had. Tony grinned to himself. For the first time, he was excited to keep on going, to see what would happen next.

Nothing could go wrong now, could it? Well, yeah it could but he had people beside him who actually cared so he wouldn't worry about all the bad things until they happened. He would just enjoy his friend's company.
