Etude Op. 10, No. 1 in C Major ("Waterfall")
Kai took a deep breath of the crisp, cold air, misted with the crisp spray from roaring Niagara Falls. "It's amazing," he sighed.
"Kai-kun, there's a tour of Rainbow Tower at noon!" To his side, Amamiya tugged on his elbow, eager eyes shining bright. "Maybe we can try the carillon!"
They listened to the automated system playing God Save the Queen, then reverently entered the tower, gazing at the ponderous bells. The carilloneur seated them at a practice console filled with wooden batons, each wired to a bell, and taught them to depress the batons with loose fists.
"This is unusual," the carilloneur began, "but we'll allow you to perform a piece." They chose the joyful, shimmering Preludio II with Kai reading treble and Amamiya sounding bass. Their rich, resonant overtones blended with the rushing water below.

- I believe it's customary for Rainbow Tower to play God Save the Queen every day. Or maybe it's only on Sundays.
