Ep 2: That's Zane-y Nonsense!

"Last time, on Total Drama: Bakuhatsu Island…" Phil announced, as he stood firmly on the wooden dock. The sky, as cloudy and gloomy as it can get, tempted to drop buckets of water at any time. Fortunately (or unfortunately), this had not stopped Phil from continuing the show. "We gave you all a brief glance at the brand-new island! Mixed it in with new competitors! New interns! New camera crew! To summarize it all, we had the fourteen contestants split into two teams: The Floppy Fish and The Electric Eels. One rose out victorious, while the other succumbed to defeat! Bet ya' didn't see that one comin'?" He hinted, with a touch of obvious sarcasm. "Even though the Floppy Fish took the easiest path, they STILL manage to lose! Talk about humiliation. Anyways, say goodbye to Alexander, as he did a huge oopsie during the challenge, and all it took… was a FLUTE! Oh well… we got more juicy drama comin' right back at ya', on…" He cleared his throat to fully scream out the intro, as if he were in an overcrowded mosh party.

"TOTAL!...

"DRAMA!...

"BAKUHATSU ISLAND!"

Opening Theme

(Multiple cameras popped out of the lush bushes and palm trees found within the island)

Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doin' fine,

(The camera did its signature zoom across the island, as it quickly flew by Hailee and Phil arguing on the camper's compound.)

You guys are on my mind.

(The camera then entered a deep pond found further inland covered in dark, dense vegetation.)

You asked me what I wanted to be

(A gleeful Arnold found a treasure chest deep within the pond, but it was quickly snatched by Hunter's fishing rod as he raised it onto the wooden boat. Arnold swam up onto the boat and threw his fake, plastic cutlass sword towards him, but Hunter deflected it and whipped it into the air, as it flew across the sky.)

And now I think the answer is plain to see,

(The cutlass falls and lands with the blade stuck on the ground, frightening both Kiara and Kayla, as they stood right next to it.)

I wanna be famous.

(A large, green snake with bright, red eyes slithered out a nearby bush and hissed at Kiara and Kayla, frightening them once more as the snake chased after them.)

I wanna live close to the sun,

(Spencer and Nanci were both on a motorboat, cruising through a river in a dense, swampy region. A couple of random crustaceans jumped onto the motor and pinched it, causing the motor to glitch. The boat then sped uncontrollably, zooming through the river. Spencer and Nanci were panicked.)

Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won,

(The boat quickly passed by Alexander, as he continued playing his pipe flute.)

Everything to prove, nothing in my way

(The crustaceans that were on the motorboat jumped out the river and pinched on all over Alexander's body, as he then screamed in immense pain.)

I'll get there one day.

(Lily leaned onto the outhouse confessional and noticed Alexander's screams from a distance. She took photos of his inconvenience with her camera but was then startled by a sudden arrow piercing through the confessional door. It was revealed to be Emily carrying a bow and arrow, who then had an apologetic smile.)

Cause, I wanna be famous!

(At a region near the beach, Rashon tried to carry multiple coconuts at the same time, presumably for someone else, but clumsily tripped on a rock, dropping all the coconuts at once. Zane creepily stared at him from near a palm tree.)

Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!

(Soraya and Daniela were seen arguing on the beach. Soraya was standing with her arms crossed, while Daniela sat on a black couch with her hand resting on her face.)

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!

(On the main dock, Oliver pulled out a line graph from the sky, seemingly out of thin air, as he pointed out the downwards slope in viewership and ratings for Total Drama.)

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!

(The dock exploded out of nowhere, dropping Oliver into the water. As he swam back up, it was revealed to be Phil. He stood on the leftover part of the dock, holding a remote control in his hand as he grinned menacingly.)

(Whistle)

(Spencer and Nanci smiled and looked straight into each other's eyes, but suddenly, Arnold popped right in between them, waving his sword in front of their faces. Nanci's face turned to confusion, while Spencer was completely annoyed. The camera then zoomed out of the campfire site, revealing all the contestants sitting in a circle.)

It was six in the morning, two hours before the challenge commenced; flocks of birds surrounding the camper's compound chirped and sang harmoniously, enhancing the peaceful atmosphere at the competitors' sleeping grounds. In the Electric Eels, everyone already settled in with ease; the suburban house had three spacious bedrooms, two personal squeaky-clean bathrooms, and a large living room. Quite the typical, nothing-special, suburban heaven, minus the furniture, as it looked like a new family just moved in. Kiara was the first to wake up, sharing a room with Kayla, who slept in her own bed.

"Kayla, wake up." Kiara loudly whispered, as she gently shook her shoulders. Kayla's eyes slowly opened, followed up with many blinks and eye-rubbing with her ditzy hands.

"Is it challenge time, or, like, what?" She let out a huge yawn in response.

"It's search time." Kiara was determined to leave the bedroom immediately.

"Right now? Too early for that." Kayla was very tempted to jump back onto her small bed. "But… if you say so. We just gotta', like, tiptoe out the house. I think everyone's still asleep."

Kiara nodded anxiously, as they both quietly opened their bedroom door and swiftly walked across the hallway, passing by one door which led to a bedroom shared by Nanci and Soraya, and another door leading to Oliver's, Rashon's, and Hunter's bedroom. They quickly, but quietly, ran down the wooden stairs, opened the double-front doors, and sprinted out the house. They ran past the Floppy Fish's Pahkitew shed, accidentally waking up two people from the loud footsteps.

"W-what?" Spencer mumbled to himself, startled by Kiara and Kayla's running. He looked outside the window, then glanced all over his room, shared by Zane and Arnold; both were still asleep in their unstable bunk beds. He pondered; sharing a room with the strangest people he had ever met was bad enough. But as he stared down the floor, squinting with his messy hair drooping over his left eye, he noticed something peculiar under Zane's bed. To his eyes, it looked like a black rubber handle, with a large "Z" carved onto it. He reached for it with his right arm fully extended, while being cautious not to accidentally wake him up, who had the bottom bed. As he pulled out the item, his eyes widened open with shock at the full reveal, and dropped it immediately to the ground, unable to fully comprehend what he just witnessed…

Blood dripped off the blade of a military-grade knife.

Confessional:

Spencer: He had both hands anxiously in his pockets, glared blankly at the camera with nothing but despair on his face. "Okay, this is completely insane…" He quietly whispered to the camera. "I'm pretty sure that's blood. And I'm pretty sure I'm sharing a room with complete lunatics. Send help… ASAP."

As Spencer tried to keep a calm composure on his bed, he detected someone walking out the shed from the girl's room through his window. "Where is she going?" He muttered to himself, as he observed her speedy walk straight into the forest. As he squinted further, he figured out who she was.

"Lily."

Confessional:

Spencer: "Don't know if it's just my paranoia kickin' in, but I'm sensing bad things on some of my teammates…" He stared at the camera for a long moment, with wide, frightened eyes.

Two hours later, all the competitors were now awake; some were outside casually chilling with their respective teammates, while few were in their homes, waiting for their breakfast delivery to arrive.

"Dang, I'm hungry. When's breakfast gonna' arrive though?" Daniela leaned on the outside wooden wall of their shed with her arms sternly crossed with Emily, who was also waiting for her morning meal.

"Supposedly thirty minutes ago? Maybe the interns got lost in the woods? Or maybe they're having lunch themselves. Yeah! That must be it!" Emily sat crisscrossed on the dusty ground with her usual optimism, hoping that the host had not forgotten on feeding the contestants.

"Or maybe 'cause it's about to rain as well? I don't know…" Daniela pointed to the partly-cloudy sky; as they both looked up, the dark clouds moved closer and closer together at a faster rate, the sky turning gloomier and gloomier by the second.

"I think I see the interns!" Emily shouted, pointing to the forest. Two shadowy figures approached the compound, shaking up the bushes in the distance. As they finally stepped foot onto the compound, Daniela and Emily were quickly filled with disappointment at the reveal.

"Looks like we're trying again tomorrow, 'kay?" Kiara said, walking exhaustedly, as a tired Kayla quickly followed behind. Both casually walked past Emily's and Daniela's hungry faces. "But… I'm gonna' have, like, a quick chat with Soraya first-"

"Please. Can you, like, drop it?" Kayla quickly interrupted. "We'll go back tomorrow to find it. Most likely scenario, you probably dropped it somewhere." They continued to walk towards Nanci, Rashon, and Soraya; all three were sitting right near their newfound home, with wooden chairs facing towards each other, carefully invested with their game plan.

"So, you want us all to vote out Kiara?" Nanci replied quietly to Soraya on their ongoing conversation.

"If we lose, that is." Soraya said. "But look, we can all agree that she gets on everybody's nerves. Let's face it; she's a complete nuisance and a liability for our team. We're basically doing the rest of our team a favor. Besides, I've dealt with these entitled wannabes back in high school, and I don't want to go through it again."

"Are you a private student girl?" Rashon asked Soraya, irrelevant to their conversation.

"Nope. Public school." Soraya said. "Not every rich girl attends private schools, ya' know? Ever seen Mean Girls?"

A confused Nanci arose. Soraya's out-of-nowhere reference caught her off-guard. "Umm, I don't think those girls were snobs. You mean 'popular'? I've never seen that movie, by the way."

Soraya thought up of another quick example. "Uh, okay. Wow. How about Heather from Total Drama?" Nanci couldn't connect the dots with her references.

"May… be?" She replied with hesitation. "Kiara doesn't strike me as a Heather though. She's more like a mean Lindsay."

Soraya wanted to wrap up their game talk. "Who cares. Look, point is, once we get rid of Kiara, all our annoying little problems are solved. Done. End of story. So, are you guys with me?" Rashon nodded, eagerly in on their unofficial alliance, while Nanci was completely not onboard.

"Sure, I guess." Nanci said. As soon as they finished their talk, Kiara and Kayla abruptly popped into their view sight.

"So, what were you guys talking about?" Kiara said, as she combed her hair. "Hopefully not about me, of course. But… knowing you Soraya? That's probably, like, not true." Both her and Soraya were giving each other mean stares.

Confessional:

Kayla: "They were definitely talking about us." She presumed with no doubt. "Well, probably about Kiara, but close enough."

-static-

Nanci: "Look, I can't stand Kiara as much as anybody else, but I don't know. Soraya kinda rubs me the wrong way too, with her butthurt and bossy attitude. Don't think I'll be able to stand her all season." She calmly readjusted the collar of her shirt. "But… I could take Soraya over Kiara any day. I just feel like she isn't the biggest jerk on our team…"

-static-

All five of them suddenly heard the double-door entrance of their team home slammed wide open, revealing Oliver and Hunter rolling out, onto the ground, as they fought over a vinyl record cover, with a visible "Chris McLean" signature on the back cover.

"LET GO OF IT, YOU [BLEEP] [BLEEP]!" Hunter screamed, laying on the ground with heavy dirt on his jeans.

"Not if you let go first, Duncan wannabe!" Oliver continued holding the cover sternly.

"HA HA! Oh, how much I LOVE YOUR CORNY JOKES, YOU [BLEEP] [BLEEP] [BLEEP] [BLEEP]! At this point, Hunter was nothing but rage, filling up his vocabulary with as much profanity as he could. Soraya and Nanci stepped forward between their fight, with both their arms extended sideways as they tried to take control of the situation.

"Guys, cut it out!" Soraya yelled out.

"I will… once he gives back my rare, amazing, shiny, one-of-a-kind, scrumptious, Chris McLean-signed record!" Oliver stood up, now calm, as he looked back at a roughed-up Hunter, who held the vinyl cover by his chest.

"Ever heard the phrase 'finder's keepers', you [BLEEP] [BLEEP] [BLEEP]!" Hunter retaliated, unwilling to give back Oliver's personal belongings. "You lost it, I found it. Simple as that. You only got yourself to blame, you [BLEEP]!"

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that. You'd make a great twin for Duncan next season." Oliver snarked.

Confessional:

Nanci: She rolled her eyes. "Scratch that. I think we just found the biggest jerk on our team."

-static-

Soraya had enough fights to deal with on her own team. "Alright, lets settle this. Hunter, give back Oliver's vinyl. Now!" She demanded. Hunter seemed to refuse.

"No way! He stole my damn stash!" He said, as everyone in his team glared at him with huge disapproval on their faces. "Alright, fine. He gets to keep my belonging. Just this once!" He hesitantly handed over the vinyl cover to Oliver, as he quickly snatched it from Hunter's hand.

Confessional:

Hunter: "That record is probably worth a couple hundreds, damn it!" He was irritated at giving away his prized possession. "Looks like I gotta' keep scoutin'. And keep a low radar, from here on out."

-static-

"Uhh, guys?" Rashon suddenly interrupted, while pointing to the dark, cloudy sky. "Looks like it will rain hard right now. Lets go inside." Everyone rushed inside the house, avoiding the droplets that sprinkled down onto the ground. Daniela and Emily noticed the Electric Eel's rush, and followed pursuit, speed-walking back to their shed.

"Huh, I just realized. Where's Lily?" Daniela said. She never came back into their room.

"Bathroom, maybe?" Emily replied.

"This long? 'Kay then…" Daniela was not too worried about her; breakfast was on her mind instead. Buttery pancakes. It was all she could think of. "Oh well, her loss. I just want my food already…"

As soon as they both sat down on their beds, an intern popped into their room, carrying six, plain-looking sandwiches in individual plastic bags. "Delivery's here! Here are your loser sandwiches." He said, panting with his uniform dripping from the rain, as he handed over their sandwiches, while placing a spare one on their wooden cabinet, presumably for Lily.

"Loser sandwiches?" Daniela's face quickly turned into disappointment. "Looks like this is the price to pay for losing?"

The intern shrugged, scratching his brown, curly hair, not knowing what to say to them. "I'm sorry, ladies. Maybe if your team wins, you can get better lunch?"

Emily eyeballed him with flirty eyes, making the intern more uncomfortable with her sudden stare. "You're very cute, by the way. What's your name?"

The awkward intern visibly sweated on his forehead. "Ca-ca-Calvin." He stuttered. "I have to go now. B-b-goodbye!" He nervously left the room with his face blushed.

"Emily! You scared the dork away!" Daniela chuckled.

"Couldn't help myself." Emily smiled playfully. She fully expected that reaction.

In the Electric Eels' quarters, mostly everyone sat comfortably on their large, curvy couch. The lack of furniture made the living room quite spacious, with the black, leathery couch sticking out like a sore thumb. They all patiently waited for their breakfast to arrive. Kiara and Kayla, sitting closest on one end while simultaneously farthest away from their teammates, discussed quietly on what they will do with the million dollars. Both whispered to each other loudly.

"Can't wait to fill up my closet! Maybe add another car? Oh, the possibilities!" Kayla said, as Kiara gave a funny smirk in return.

"Yeah me too. I could use more shopping." She said a bit louder. Her comment caught Soraya's attention, who sat more towards the other side, with noticeably empty space between them.

"Of course, you do." Soraya muttered very quietly to herself, with no intention and energy to engage with Kiara any longer. She looked to her left; Oliver and Nanci sat on the other end of the couch, having a friendly conversation of their own.

"Breakfast better be pancakes, 'cause I'm hungry for syrup." Oliver salivated, with just pancakes on his mind. Indeed, quite a handful of contestants were thinking of pancakes. I wonder who else-

"Oh wow. You just read my mind." Nanci replied. "The moment I heard the interns were delivering our breakfast, my first thought was… pancakes." There goes another one.

"It's kinda funny, ain't it?" Seemed like he would be headed towards a philosophical rabbit hole. "We instantly connect breakfast with pancakes. Crazy how our brains work like that, right? I mean, it's just incredible… ahem, sorry, almost went geek-o mode…" He stopped once he observed Nanci's disinterested face. But he was mistaken; there was no disinterest on her part at all.

"Oh, no, you were fine. I agree how all our thoughts and feelings we've ever had, stem from a piece of meat inside our head. Crazy stuff, right?" She was completely on board with Oliver's thoughts.

Confessional:

Nanci: "Never thought I'd get along with people on this show at all. But Oliver is such a cool dude! Surprisingly, I could relate to him a lot."

-static-

As everyone cozied up inside, a sudden knock on the front doors echoed across the living room. Nanci was the closest one to the doors, so she dashed towards it. Upon opening it, a tall, male intern stood laid-back outside, with two metal crates on a shopping crate.

"Oh hi! Nice to meet you." He first greeted Nanci, then waved to the others in the living room. Suaveness was the first thing that came to her mind; first thing she noticed was his slick, jet-black, pompadour hair.

"Oh, um, hi!" She said, timidly. "You're our breakfast guy, right?"

"Absolutely." He welcomed himself inside, as he turned his head around to face the rest of the team. "So, everyone… may I have your attention please?" He announced. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Julian, and I am your designated intern in charge of delivering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus extra commodities for your team. Inside these packages are, you guessed it, breakfast!"

"IS IT PANCAKES?!" Rashon screamed out from the bathroom, muffled by the toilet flush.

"Yeah!" Oliver stood up with his arms crossed. "Is it pancakes-guaranteed?"

"Oh, no worries!" Julian continued. "We got all sorts of breakfast and lunch inside these packages. Welp, I better get going now. Enjoy!"

The moment Julian strolled outside the compound with his shopping cart, Oliver ran straight to the crates on the floor. Upon opening the delivery, their breakfast resembled a high-class buffet, from pancakes to biscuits. This was great news for the Electric Eels.

Until…

"Attention victi—erm, contestants!" A loud speakerphone blasted loud enough to be heard through the suburban house. "Report outside to the compound. It's ch-ch-ch-ch-CHALLENGE TIME!"

"Aww, really? No time for breakfast? Talk about cruel…" Kayla reiterated everyone's thoughts throughout the room.

Everyone from both teams cluttered outside together with their respective teammates, waiting for the host to show up; some were more impatient than others. Electric Eels stood there quietly, while Floppy Fish talked amongst themselves. Spencer however, noticed someone was still missing from their team.

"Guys, where's Lily?" He waited for the team's response.

"Argh, who's that again? Me pirate completely forgot." Arnold said, causing some of the teammates eyerolling in unison.

Of course, you forgot. Spencer thought. As he turned his head all around the compound, someone walked towards them from the bordering bushes afar. As the person approached the team closer and closer, Spencer knew exactly who it was. Lily.

"My apologies I'm late, fellow teammates. I went for a long, calming, morning nature walk, and it was quite a therapeutic journey, I must say." She looked a bit exhausted, but surprisingly, there was no rugged appearance on her. Everyone simply shrugged in response, but Spencer did not buy her explanation as Lily continued sipping her coffee calmly.

"Where were you exactly?" He said. "Why did your morning routine last for two hours? And where did you get that coffee?"

"Oh Spencer, you're quite the curious one. To put it politely, that's none of your business. I do as I please." She said with a teasing smirk; it was just the two of them talking, while the other teammates were talking amongst themselves. "But…" She began whispering. "Since I'm not a spiteful individual, I'll lend you a hand; I'm the least of your worries…"

As they both had a silent stare-down, both pair of eyes squinting rigorously at each other, Hailee had arrived, ready to give an announcement. Her presence alone interrupted Spencer's and Lily's stare showdown.

"Can I have everyone's close attention?" Hailee said, as everyone turned their heads towards the co-host. "Seems like my uncle, or so-called host, managed to be late… yet again. So, I will be the host of this episode for the time being. Now, can everyone report to-"

"Hailee! Don't start without me!" A familiar voice shouted from a distance. The closer the voice approaches, the heavier panting one could hear.

"Oh… good morning uncle. Glad you're here. Unfortunately, you're late… like always. So… maybe it's time I shall take over as host for today's episode. What do ya' say?"

"No can-do Hailee. My show… my rules. If I'm late, everyone waits, including you." In response, Hailee stood there in unfazed silence, arms crossed. Phil turned around to face the contestants, as he raced around the clock. "So… I have a quick announcement to make before we commence."

"Crazy how those two are related." Nanci whispered to Kayla, who then nodded in agreement.

"There was something I completely forgot to mention last episode." Phil said. "You remember the iconic McLean-Brand Invincibility Statue used in previous seasons? Well guess what? It's coming back baby! We've hidden it away at a random spot on this island. To make the search even easier, it glows red! Makes it a lot easier to find in the dark!

"Nice one uncle. Too bad you made this announcement an episode too late. Oh well… your professional image will quickly diminish if you keep butchering every episode, ya' know?"

"Don't push it, Hailee." Phil was tired of being interrupted by his so-called assistant. "Anyhow, time to commence today's challenge!"

"WAIT!" Soraya shouted. "You're not even gonna' hint where the invincibility statue could be hidden?"

"Where's the fun in that?" Phil chuckled. "Look… how about this: whichever team wins today's challenge will receive a map that contains an approximate location of the statue in the next episode. There… happy now?"

"Very." Soraya said.

Confessional:

Soraya: "Perfect. After that atrocious performance during the coconut-search challenge, I have another chance to redeem myself, to show just how much of an asset I truly am." She smirked.

-static-

Hunter: "Ahh, great." He said, frustratingly. "Not only did Philly boy mention there be a map, but that little-miss-bossy girl is gonna' go on a search hunt for sure. Damn."

-static-

"So how about the challenge?" Kiara glared straight at the host with an impatient face. "When will it, like, start? Hmm?"

"Okay everyone! Pay close attention!" Phil shouted, as he ignored Kiara. "Today's challenge will be quite an explosive one." He smirked. "Follow me!"

Phil and Hailee walked the teams further inland. The forest had grown darker and darker, forcing both to lit up their large, wooden torches along the way. The damp atmosphere created by the morning rain added immense discomfort for the contestants. Sweaty clothes and muddy shoes were bound to happen, as everyone walked carefully to not smudge their shoes with the mud. However, it is too late for Hailee as her heels were no longer shiny gray, but muddy brown.

"Ya' know?" She said. "Should've just ditched the heels. I had spare sneakers at HQ."

"Ya' know your dad just loves to have you look as fancy as possible on TV." Phil sensed her slight discomfort wearing her dress and heals whenever the camera was rolling. He knew his brother too well. "You sure you cool with that?"

"He can be a little demanding, but don't worry about it. It's fine." She wanted to quickly change the topic.

"Screw it. Just go all-casual next episode. It'll piss him off for sure!" He laughed.

"Okay… yeah! But first, I'll start dressing casually once I receive my co-hosting privileges…"

"Hmm, about that. Let's put a pin on it." He said, as they finally arrived at their destination. The location was much like the camper's compound; it was a spacious, circular region devoid of trees, like a giant, empty circle. Except in this case, there were two, large, red metal targets with rocket launchers attached at the back of the targets; its line of sight aimed towards the trees. Almost every contestant was dripping sweat due to the humid forest.

"Is this what I think this is?" Emily was gleeful once she took notice of the targets.

"Yes, but there's more to it than that." Phil announced, as he then faced towards the competitors. "Today's challenge is gonna' be quite a doozy! Your goal is to find your designated ATVs located across the dense rainforest and bring them back here safely. However, to bring the vehicles over here, one must clear away all the trees and bushes that stand in your way. This is what these targets are for. There are two targets: one for the Floppy Fish and the other for the Electric Eels. The closer you shoot at the bullseye, the stronger the signal for the rocket launcher, which also means bigger explosions and farther distance. One must stay here to be the archer, and another must oversee the reloading of the launcher. But be careful… while those bombs are quite small, they can pack quite a punch! The rest of you must traverse through the forest, on your own trails, while avoiding the bombardment to retrieve your ATVs. Any questions?"

"So wait…" Soraya interrupted. "You're telling us that we're forced to destroy the ecosystem… for a CHALLENGE?"

"And also," Lily said. "We are using legitimate military weapons. None of us are trained professionals, so what if one of these explosions backfire? What then?"

"Yeah!" Nanci agreed. "What if one of us gets hurt? Or worse?"

"Well then." Phil said. "The rockets are completely optional, but good luck trying to drive those rundown ATVs through all those trees and bushes."

Confessional:

Soraya: "I will NOT contribute to the destruction of our planet for just a challenge. Like, are you KIDDING me?" She was tempted to punch the door out of frustration on what she just heard but resisted. "Our team will just need to find a better way. Set a good example for the people watching at home. But trust me, I'll be leading this team."

-static-

Daniela: "For once, I actually agree con esa llorona." She said, referring to Soraya. "I'd be joggin' around the nearby forest back home whenever I'm feeling down, so it kinda' sucks just mindlessly destroying all these trees. But… a challenge is a challenge."

-static-

"This is just huge, wacky nonsense." Rashon said, astounded by the insaneness of this challenge.

"Perhaps you could say it's… Zane-y Nonsense? Get it? Ah? Ah?" Oliver continuously nudged his shoulder onto Rashon's shoulder, but there was no comment, just a confused look in return.

"Can we, like, start now? Before my teammates start spewing more unfunny jokes?" Kiara said, unsurprisingly at this point.

"Alrighty then! On your mark… GO!" Phil announced, as Hailee blew the air horn. Both teams gathered around in their own circles, discussing their team strategies.

"First off," Spencer said to his teammates. "This host is completely insane. Just wanted to get that out of the way."

"Argh! The host is a true pirate!" Arnold interrupted as he waved his sword in the air like an ecstatic monkey. No one was fazed at his recurring schtick anymore. "I will fire the shots! Like a true pirate! Argh!"

"No need for that!" Emily said. She held her hands on her back with a shy grin. "I'm a bit of an expert at shooting arrows, so if I may? I'd love to be the archer! It's kinda my thing."

"ARGH!" Arnold shouted. "As team captain, I shall elect you as the archer! Argh! Argh! Argh! Argh!"

"Okay." Daniela could not help, but chuckle at his consistent arghs. "Now you're sounding more like a screeching dolphin."

"ARRRGH! There's no such thing as pirate dolphins, m'lady!"

"Okay, okay, okay…" She could not contain her laughter much longer. For her, a pirate dress-up was enough to make her burst into laughter.

"Okay, look guys..." Spencer intervened, irritated at their bickering. "We lost the last challenge, so we need to get going straight away! No distractions."

"He does have a point." Lily sipped her coffee right afterwards. "Luckily, I've already wandered around this area in particular, so I believe I know exactly where we should be headed."

"I'm sure you have…" Spencer said.

Confessional:

Spencer: "First off, why in the world was she roaming around here in the first place? She is hiding something for sure, and I'm not liking the sound of that…"

-static-

"Look, Spencer." Lily smiled. "As you can see from my professional attire, I'm a journalist. It's my job to observe and scout."

"Alright, alright ladies, quit fighting." Daniela said. "Mira, look; I'll be the reloader. You guys just worry about not being in our line of fire. Okay?"

Everyone else nodded, and ran straight to the forest, but not too close to the launcher's line of sight. Emily ran to grab the quiver underneath the target, then quickly ran back to the white line a couple meters away from the target, readying her position. Daniela went to the large metal crate underneath the launcher, filled with explosive projectiles. While the Floppy Fish were more determined than ever to win the challenge, the Electric Eels reflected the complete opposite energy.

"Listen team…" Soraya, more frustrated than ever, her face showed disgust just by the mere vision of the rocket launcher. "We are NOT firing those rockets. End of story."

"Hol' up!" Hunter interrupted. He was fazed at what he just heard, very rare for him to be startled from just spoken words. "Yo…who elected you as team leader? Not me, that's for sure."

"Sorry, and who are you?" She hissed. "Oh yeah… the one who steals valuable belongings, then cries about it once caught. And who solved that mess between you and Oliver? Me, of course."

"Oh, get off your damn high horse." Hunter then pointed at the targets. "We are using those. End of story."

Kayla was exhausted at all the team bickering, as well as everybody else. "Can we, like, focus on the challenge? The other team had already gone into the forest…"

A loud explosion was heard, startling every Electric Eels teammate. Emily fired her first shot: a bullseye. The bomb explosion destroyed a few trees, but there was still a long way to go. Flock of birds flew away from a distance, away from the drama.

"Nope, screw it!" Hunter said. "I am firing those rockets." He ran desperately towards the quiver.

"HEY! DON'T YOU DARE!" Soraya chased after him, tackling him to the ground. Her quick and rough takedown caught Hunter by surprise. However, another explosion startled everyone yet again. Soraya was filled with so much rage that the next explosion did not just simply startle her but caused her to completely pass out on the ground.

"Umm, is she okay?" Nanci asked. The obvious answer was… no. "We can't just leave her there. We have to do something."

"I could give less of a damn about her." Hunter stood up, as he dusted the dirt off his jacket. "I gotta' fire those rockets and we gotta' win today's challenge. What else can I say?"

Hunter was not the only one glad; Kiara was relieved that no one else would end up bossing her around. "Soraya's, like, finally out of the picture now, which means I am in charge now. Hunter, you are the archer, and Oliver, you'll be, like, the reloader, 'kay?"

Oliver readjusted his glasses. "Reloading large, dangerous weapons that could potentially destroy the island's flora and fauna forever… is my specialty. Count me in!" He said.

"Good." Kiara said. "The rest of us will run through the forest together…"

"But wait!" Oliver interrupted. "What about our dearest friend Soraya?"

"Oh, I don't care. Watch over her if you want."

"Aye aye, new Heather!" Oliver saluted.

"Excuse me?" Kiara looked very insulted.

"Never mind. Reality TV newbies, am I right?" He turned directly to the camera with a smile and a wink. He expected a sitcom laughter sound effect, but alas, no humor from the camera crew were present.

Confessional:

Kiara: "Daddy would, like, always lecture me about having my own subordinates to do the business work for you, and what perfect way than to have my bestie on my side, and Rashon following everything I instruct him to do. Nanci will, like, end up doing what I tell her to do sooner or later. Just a matter of time, 'kay? It's what I do; that's my specialty." She glared at her nails, each one still delicately groomed. Only thing missing in place was the crown on her head.

The Floppy Fish teammates rushed through the forest while avoiding the constant bombardment by the archers; they followed Lily as hunched together as possible, scared of being lost in the vast rainforest. Zane, however, kept his distance away from his teammates.

"What is with that guy? Jeez." Spencer had enough of his teammates. So much that he was dripping sweat. Not so much from exhaustion, but rather… the anxiety.

"Spencer." Lily said. "We're being filmed by the camera crew. So don't worry about it… for now at least."

"What do you mean by… for now?" He squinted his eyes in response.

Confessional:

Lily: "Spencer tends to worry. A lot. But if you truly want to hear my personal opinion, I think all that worrying is just asking to be eliminated. Not a good game strategy, if I do say so myself."

-static-

"ARGH!" Arnold shouted. "When is my turn to be captain? Sorry journalist lady, but leadership is calling my name, ARGH!"

"Yeah! Great idea!" Lily shouted.

"You're kidding me?" Spencer opened his mouth in shock.

"Nope. Not at all!" She kept her smile. "However, in return, I get to ask you, Arnold, some quick, personal trivia questions about yourself, for a newspaper I plan to write. Deal?"

"ARGH! Now that's what Captain Arnold likes to hear, ARGH!"

Confessional:

Arnold: He waved his sword around in joy. "ARGH! For the first time, me team is taking Captain Arnold seriously! It's a great day for all me fellow pirates! ARGH!"

-static-

"So Arnold," Lily asked her questions straight away, as they all speed-walked through the trees, ignoring the explosions that went off in the background. "Why do you always speak in pirate-language? Are you acting? Or do you actually believe that you're a pirate?"

"ARGH!" He shouted, though with a much meaner tone. "What kind of pirate-y pirate question is that? Of course me a pirate! ARGH!"

"Oh, my apologies, Captain Arnold." She said, as she scribbled on her tiny notepad. "Although I have to ask, what makes you think you could win Total Drama?"

"ARGH! I have a lot of tricks up me sleeve, m'lady." He winked.

"Hmm. I see."

The Electric Eels, already behind, sprinted rather swiftly through the trees, jumping, and skipping over the clumped-up bushes. Rashon, running alongside Nanci, helped clear the thorns and bushes that blocked Kiara and Kayla's way.

"Hey Rashon?" Nanci panted. "You don't have to clear EVERY bush for them. I think they might just be using you."

"Don't think so." He said. "They are very nice to me. And lovely people. I'm in alliance wit' them."

"I thought we were just in an alliance with Soraya?" She whispered, although not as quietly; instead, Kiara and Kayla heard her every word.

"Excuse me? Let's stop right here." Kiara demanded; their sprinting came to a halt. "Just as I predicted, you guys were gonna team up on me for, like, if we were to lose. Is that so?

"No, not me!" Rashon whimpered. "You're a very lovely person. Both of you."

"Aw, thanks!" Kayla said, she quickly noticed Kiara's unhappy face with her sudden gratitude.

"Look." Kiara said. "You guys are, like, clearly not thinking straight. You do know that she is using you two, right? She wants me gone so that no one would boss her around ever again. Because that's who she is, a control freak, 'kay?"

"Yeah!" Kayla followed along. Nanci was not truly buying it. She cannot stomach her.

"So, you're suggesting Rashon and I to vote her off instead? Why should we trust you?"

"You're kidding?" Kiara eyerolled. "The longer you let her in the game, the more control she'll get. She's, like, a power-hungry freak. I know those types back in high school. They are ugly people on the inside. Plus, she's also a stealer. Don't forget, she might just be hiding my crown somewhere. Because that's who she is. You're smarter than this. You need to see the bigger picture."

Confessional:

Kayla: "Is she, like, really bringing back the Soraya-crown narrative again?" She eyerolled. Rarely would she ever eyeroll on her own best friend. "We better hope the tiara shows up tomorrow on our next search, or she might burst into tears again."

-static-

Nanci: "Yeah, sorry not sorry. Soraya may not be the nicest person, but Kiara is just so… so full of herself. The way she speaks, the way she acts, her attitude, is just… yuck."

-static-

"How about let's keep running? I'll think about it." Nanci had no energy to argue with anyone. She would not want to, anyways.

"Give it a long thought." Kiara said. "I hope you'll make, like, the right choice. By the way, I love your shirt. What brand is it?"

"Oh this?" Nanci was cut off-guard by her compliment. "It's Lay C. Jenny. It's very simple, but I love it. Very comfy."

"Oh, that's very nice…"

Confessional:

Kiara: She cleared her throat. "Ahem. Tacky."

-static-

More explosions were going off by the second. Some were clear bullseyes, while others were sloppy firing. On the Floppy Fish's side, there was a much more wide, visible trail made by Emily's bullseyes, while the Electric Eels was a lot rougher by the edges, no clear trail yet as a few trees poke out of the thin pathway. The Floppy Fish could hear the explosions louder on their side.

"ARGH! Emily never misses! A true pirate at heart! ARGH!"

"Can you PLEASE fill your vocabulary with anything other than pirate nonsense?" Spencer was just too exhausted to continue arguing much longer. Zane, writing something on a notecard, also joined him in frustration from Arnold's shenanigans.

"Something you need Zane?" Spencer asked carefully, scared on what he would end up saying. As Zane finished writing, he held up the notecard to his face. It read:

I can see the ATVs from here. To the right.

Spencer was shocked, no menacing wording or frightening threats. Maybe I was just being paranoid, he thought.

"What does it say?" Lily intervened.

"Zane says the ATVs are over there. I could kinda see it as well. It looks it like." He points to the right. "Let's go?"

"ARGH! LET'S MARCH MATEYS!" Arnold screamed at the top of his lungs. Everyone ran straight through all the leaves, and to everyone's surprise: the ATV was there. Both, in fact. They were in a small, circular region, much like the other circular regions devoid of any trees. Each one had a different flag attached to it. One banner was red, with a flopped-up fish, while the blue one was an eel with electric currents surrounding it.

"Wow, easier than I thought." Spencer said. "Should we wait 'till Emily clears all the trees?"

"I think she's almost done. Though I might be going deaf from all these explosions." Lily could hear an explosion almost every five seconds. Each one coming closer and closer.

"What should we do next?"

"ARGH! It's sabotage time, mateys! Lily… ask me more questions while me pop all the tires! ARGH!" He ran towards the tires and tried popping them with his sword.

"Um." Spencer intervened. "You do know it's made out of plastic, right?"

"ARGH! Captain Arnold will just steal the ATV and hide it, so they can't find it, ARGH!"

"That's… not a bad idea." Spencer's face, however, quickly turned into worry. "But what if Phil deducts us points for hiding it? What if it counts as cheating? What if-"

"WOOHOO, we made it!" Kayla shouted, startling the Floppy Fish, as Rashon, Nanci, and Kiara popped out of the large bush behind.

"So…" Nanci said. "We heard a lot of pirate noises from a distance, figured it was you guys." She continuously chuckled shyly.

"Oh, perfect." Spencer glared at Arnold, irritatingly.

Confessional:

Spencer: "Why am I no longer surprised?" He held his arms crossed sternly. "But at least Nanci is here. Crazy how I trust her more than my own teammates at this point."

-static-

Nanci: "Really wished Spencer was with us. Could use more genuine people on our team."

-static-

"So…" Kayla said, turning around towards her teammates. "What do we do? Should we wait until, like, Hunter finishes?"

"I think we should just drive through the trees." Nanci said. "Hunter doesn't seem like the best archer."

"Sounds good to me!" Rashon went along with her quickly.

"Okay." Kiara was hesitant. "But please drive carefully. I worked very hard to keep my hair clean for the cameras. No bumpy rides, 'kay?"

"No worries," Nanci muttered passive-aggressively. "We won't destroy your pretty blonde hair."

"Good." Nanci quickly jumped onto the four-seater, behind the wheel.

"Shotgun." Kiara entered carefully, as she tried not to make her blouse dirtier than it already was.

"See ya' later guys! And Spencer… try not to lose!" Nanci teasingly chuckled and waved goodbye, as Spencer waved back. Rashon and Kayla jumped onto the backseats, as they drove off, straight through the trees.

"We better get going too. Emily might take a long-" As soon as Spencer was about to finish, an explosion broke off the trees and trigs near them. They all turned towards the destruction, and there it was: a pathway, wide enough for multiple ATVs to race on. That explosion was the final blow: a bullseye.

"Oh wow, she did it." Spencer had no idea on how truly skilled Emily was at archery.

"Let's get going." Lily remarked. "I'm a competently fast driver, so I elect myself to drive."

"ARGH! LET'S GET MOVIN' MATEYS!"

Both teams drove on their own trails. No more bombs were going off. Although the ATVs were not speeding as quickly as they previously thought, the Floppy Fish still managed to drive smoothly, while the Electric Eels' trail was incredibly bumpy and not well-cleared.

"Wow." Lily said. "We are actually zooming through. I could hear the Eels' ATV from way behind."

Arnold, sitting in the backseat, noticed something on the ground and managed to swiftly snatch it with one hand. "ARGH! Look what me found! A bomb!"

"What?" Spencer turned his head around to face him. It was exactly what Arnold described: an undetonated bomb.

"Oh look, another one, ARGH!" Now he has two on the backseat.

"Arnold, stop grabbing those!" Spencer yelled. "Those could blow up at any time."

"ARGH! Don't tell me what to do, skinny man. ARGH!"

Over at the Electric Eels, things were not looking up for them. While less and less trees were out of their way the closer to the finish line, it was still far from a smooth drive.

"Nanci, let me drive." Kiara demanded. "You keep driving on the rocks."

"We're not that far away. Could you just wait for a couple minutes?"

"Ya' know?" Kayla said. "I wonder what our other two teammates are up to?"

"Oh boy." Oliver sat underneath the launcher, tired of repetitively reloading each bomb. "I could already here the Floppers. Hunter, your performance for this episode is very mediocre."

Hunter did not respond; Oliver had been talking the whole time they were clearing trees. He simply stretched his arms, exhausted from the constant aiming and shooting.

Confessional:

Hunter: "Yo! Cut me some slack!" He yelled to the camera. "It has been so long since I shot arrows with my dad. I swear, if I hear Oliver open his mouth one last time, I might reconsider to vote him off instead."

-static-

"Yo Emily?" Daniela and Emily were sitting close by each other near the white line, seemingly for a couple minutes by now. "How are you so good at using a bow and arrow?"

"I just love shooting arrows!" She was smiling the whole way through. "It's my favorite hobby. At first, I must admit, I was terrible. But now, I never miss! Persistence is key to perfection."

"Oh nice!"

"What are your hobbies? Any talents?" Emily was curious.

"Oh, well, I like to go on jogs, watch movies, hang out with friends, that sorta' thing. Though I'm not as talented as you, if I'm being honest."

"Well, everyone has a talent." Emily assured. "I'm sure you're very talented…"

"Did you hear that?" Daniela stood up to observe their pathway. She could see an ATV, the size of an ant in her point of view. "Emily, mira! They're getting closer."

She stood up as well, squinting to see whether it was them or not. "You are right. Looks like no elimination ceremony for us." She smiled, although not Hunter; he noticed their cheering and his face quickly turned into a frown.

Confessional:

Hunter: "Damn it!" He slammed the door with his clenched fist. "If we lose, then goodbye for me. They are gonna' be getting' rid of me. Which means, no more valuable items. Which means, NO MONEY! I gotta' do something quick. Think Hunter, THINK!"

-static-

As the Floppy Fish ATV came closer and closer to victory, their cheering could also be heard. Meanwhile, the Electric Eels ATV finally popped into Hunter's vision, but were already way behind. He had to do something to prevent his potential elimination.

"Screw it. Oliver, throw me an arrow real quick, and NO TALKIN'!"

"Aye aye, new Duncan."

"I SAID NO TALKIN'" As Oliver grabbed an arrow stuck on the target and tossed it towards him, Hunter picked up his bow, and aimed towards the target. Not his target… but the Floppy Fish's target.

"AHHHHH!" Hunter screamed, shooting an arrow towards it, almost a bullseye. The launcher fired a bomb directly towards the Floppy Fish ATV at rapid speed. The explosion was a close one… but not in its destructive radius.

"What was that?" Lily said.

"It wasn't from our team." Spencer assured. "I saw an arrow flying from the Eels' side. They tried to sabotage us!"

"ARGH! THEN WE MUST SABOTAGE BACK, MATEYS!" Arnold threw one of his bombs in front of them, aiming towards the Eels' side. Instead, his throw was extremely frail, only flew about a few meters ahead, and detonated on impact. The shockwave caused their ATV to flip backwards, crashing into the bushes off-trail. Daniela and Emily were stunned; no longer were they confident on their victory, as the Electric Eels finally zoomed right past them and crossed the finish line. Or more so, they crashed into their own rocket launcher. Phil, while disappointed that they ruined one of his launchers, announced their victory regardless.

"And the Electric Eels snatched the win! Yet again!" He declared through his loudspeaker.

"Oh my gosh! We did it!" Kayla cheered, as well as everybody else on the ATV.

"Hey! You can thank me!" Hunter yelled out. "I secured our victory baby!"

As everybody on Electric Eels celebrated, their ruckus woke up Soraya. She lifted her head up slowly, her vision blurry but still managed to heal itself rather quickly. But something was not right; she looked towards Hunter and noticed a sparkle in his jacket. As she stood up slowly while no one noticed, she squinted further to get a clearer picture on what it was. Then, it all made sense now… the tiara.

"Oh hey, look!" Oliver said, as he walked towards her to help her stand up. She was much taller than him, making it much harder to keep her standing straight. "Our dear friend Soraya just woke up. Fortunately, today's episode was kinda' lame, so you didn't miss much."

"First things first." Soraya quickly recovered, no longer needed assistance. "I have something to say." She stared at Hunter, then sprinted towards him, tackling him to the ground once again. As she reached within the jacket, she pulled out Hunter's prized possession, then flashed it in the air. Everyone on her team gasped, especially Kiara.

"MY CROWN!" Kiara yelled out, running towards Soraya as she snatched it from her hand.

"See? Told ya' I didn't have it." She then turned towards everyone as she stood up, leaving Hunter on the ground. "Let this be a reminder that not only is Hunter an eager anti-environmentalist, but also a slithering weasel!

Confessional:

Hunter: "Ahh [BLEEP]!"

-static-

Soraya: "See? This is one of the key perks as an artist: attention to detail." She bragged. "Now we know who not to trust on our team. And finally: Kiara will stop crying over something as pathetic as a crown. This is a win-win for me."

-static-

Kiara: "Oh how I miss being a princess." She carefully propped up her crown on her head. "So typical it was that Hunter guy. I suspected it was, like, him. Luckily for him, if we lost, he would've gotten the boot. No one touches my crown." She then pulled out her comb to straighten her hair.

-static-

Oliver: "I saw that a mile away." He said confidently. "After he tried stealing my vinyl, I knew for a fact he had that crown hidden somewhere. Mediocre plot twist. He might as well just come out and say that he's the main villain of this season, like, c'mon! No one's blatantly done that before. Well, except for Max."

-static-

As every passenger from the Floppy Fish ATV got out from the vehicle with the help of Emily and Daniela, no major injuries were present, but they all had a definite contestant in mind to eliminate.

"Oh, how perfect." Spencer looked directly at Arnold; his eyes marked with fury.

"ARGH! The bomb too heavy for Captain Arnold, AR-" He coughed immediately.

"You've done it!" A voice from afar was heard; his footsteps were heard closer and closer. Once he arrived at the crash scene, it was nobody else, but Phil. "You've managed to lose not once, but TWICE in a row. Talk about embarrassment. Welp. I'll see you all tonight at the elimination ceremony!"

Confessional:

Hunter: "At first, I wanted Zane gone, but now I'm flip-flopping right back to Arnold. Finally, good riddance!"

-static-

It was an hour before the ceremony; some of the Floppy Fish contestants ate outside in the forest, although not far from the main compound. Owl noises could be heard from the distance, darkness enclosed the island further and further as the moon gleamed in the sky. The contestants, however, don't mind the sudden darkness. Some of them were still hungry after finishing their loser sandwiches.

"So, you guys wanna' go back?" Daniela said. It was just her, Emily, and Spencer sitting on a large rock.

"Emily and I tried to find some berries, but I'm worried that they could be poisonous, so I just threw them across the river"

"Oh, typical Spencer." Lily sneaked up onto them after overhearing his paranoia. "Always have to worry about something."

"Hey! At least this one's reasonable." He remarked.

"I'm with Spencer on this one." Emily chipped in. "There shouldn't even be berries here at a tropical island like this."

"Well…" Lily said. "We better get going. So that we don't end up being late in case we get lost here."

Everyone nodded and followed her outside the forest and into the camper's compound. It was an extremely short walk. No running needed. But something felt off; Spencer was the first to notice strange, red writing on the Pahkitew shed.

"What is this?" He noticed from a distance, as he got closer to the shed. Everyone else followed behind.

"What's it say?" Daniela said.

"It reads: I will end each and every one of you, one by one." Spencer was frightened; he had no idea who could have written such a cryptic message. But… he noticed a knife sticking out of the wooden wall at the bottom. As he picked it up, he discovered that it was the exact knife underneath Zane's bed. That signature "Z" carved on the handle. The blade still dripped red.

Confessional:

Spencer: "O-okay." He stuttered. His eyeballs switched from left to right out of fear. "Looks like I'm switching my vote back to Zane. I am not risking it. I'd rather take annoying Arnold than insane Zane at this point. Jeez."

-static-

"Now, let's calm down." Daniela said, as she tried settling down her frightened team. "I know this is all very sketchy, but let's say this: what if it wasn't Zane?"

"Are you kidding me?" Spencer retorted. "Who else could it be? Zane isn't even here!"

"So?" She stood her ground. "And neither is Arnold. Doesn't mean anything though. What if the Eels set this all up to frame Zane? I'm still gonna' vote him out, but all I'm sayin' is that we shouldn't quickly jump to conclusions."

"How about let's settle this in the ceremony, civilly?" Lily wanted to leave the unnerving message as fast as possible.

"Agreed." Emily said.

It was finally elimination time. Phil and Hailee were already present, ready to hand out marshmallows. A familiar metal crate was placed on the dock: The Missile of Shame. By now, the campfire site was familiar to the Floppy Fish. Losing twice in a row dampened the atmosphere further; no joy from the contestants were present.

"ARGH! What took y'all so long?" Arnold and Zane observed each contestant arriving to the campfire circle, one by one.

"Pardon me, are we late?" Lily said.

"ARGH! YES! Captain Arnold arrived early, like how all pirates should, while quiet Zane man arrived just in time! ARGH!"

"Arnold is right." Phil said. "You guys are late, and I got a show to run. Have a seat immediately." Everyone sat on the logs, some anxious for the results, while others showed zero worry at all.

"So, you guys know the rules by now. I'll just make this quick." He smiled menacingly, a reminder that he was not a sane man, no saner than Chris McLean. "Now, those who are safe…"

Confessional:

Arnold: "ARGH! Me will just vote for the one that did the least work today. ARGH!

-static-

Spencer: "You already know who I'm voting for…"

-static-

"Lily and Daniela… you two are safe." Phil said, as Hailee threw each of them a marshmallow. "Emily and Spencer… you two are also safe." Two more marshmallows flew in the air. Only Zane and Arnold were left empty-handed.

"ARGH! How is Captain Arnold in the chopping block… AGAIN?"

"Quiet!" Phil silenced him. "And the loser for tonight is…"

"Zane!"

There was no shock in his face. Only just a grin. A very disturbing grin under his mask.

"Follow me freak!" Phil strolled to the dock to prepare the crate opening. As soon he stood right beside the crate, Zane grinned harder. His eyebrows turned into a deep V-shape visible through his ski mask, looking more and more like an evil scientist. Suddenly, a speeding bomb could be seen from the sky, heading straight towards the dock at rapid speed.

"UNCLE, LOOK OUT!" Hailee screamed, but it was too late. The bomb detonated straight away. A shockwave so loud, it rippled through the night sky, shocking everyone at the campfire. Miraculously, the host… was still alive.

"We need to call an ambulance NOW!" Hailee demanded. "Hey camera crew, help me carry out my uncle. And can someone PLEASE get Zane out of here?" Zane calmly walked towards the metal crate floating towards the beach and cranked it open himself. To his surprise, the missile was still intact from the explosion. He tied himself up and used a remote control he had in his pocket, as the missile launched straight to the sky. No scream accompanied it.

"Don't worry about me Hailee." Phil spoke, his sudden words startled Hailee. An ambulance van arrived at the beach just in time, as the camera crew propped him onto a bed, and moved him within the van. Hailee approached him, completely worried on his well-being. "Your time to shine is now. Take my hosting job until I get better. You got his!"

The van drove away towards an undisclosed location. No one expected this. All the contestants were confused and frightened at what they just witnessed.

"So, are we ever gonna' get an explanation on what just happened?" Spencer said.

Hailee did not want to answer him. Instead, she looked straight to the camera, completely caught off-guard from everything that just occurred. "So, uh… that just happened. Well, uh, you saw it here first, viewers! I will take his place as host indefinitely. This could just last for a few episodes, or maybe the whole season. Who knows? Unfortunately, only time will tell. I know this is a drastic, sharp turn of events, but regardless, the show must go on. So… stay tuned for more suspenseful and unpredictable drama! Right here, on Total! Drama! Bakuhatsu Island!"

Floppy Fish: Daniela, Spencer, Emily, Arnold, Lily

I know this chapter has taken almost a WHOLE year to upload, and I am very sorry on that. I was very busy working on other things and had to put it on hold, but now, it is back on track (for real this time). The next chapter is currently being worked on, as we speak. I also tweaked the displayed votes at the end, so that it would show who voted who (Thank you 16Doobop13 for the suggestion! Really appreciated the feedback!). I also added in an Elimination Table and a Remaining Contestants section to help keep track.

Also, not sure if you had noticed, but this is the first chapter where I introduced the Opening Theme. I was not planning on bringing it to this story, but after some thought, I figured it would not hurt using the theme as foreshadowing on events that could potentially happen in the future. So, keep an eye out for that.

And now, I have a few questions for you guys:

1. What are your overall thoughts for this chapter? Any criticisms you would like to share?

2. Was today's elimination expected? Who do you think will be eliminated next?

3. Any predictions for future chapters?

4. Your overall thoughts on Phil and/or Hailee? How do you feel about Hailee's sudden promotion as the new host?

Feel free to answer these questions in the review, or just let me know your overall thoughts. If you are enjoying what I got so far, feel free to stick around! There are plenty more surprises along the way, so stay tuned!

Thank you and have a great day!
