Chapter 3. Justice Served! Part Two.

As morning downed in Royal Woods the McBride Family are waking up. Harold and Howard were getting breakfast ready, Harold turns on the Television in the kitchen at the same time a news report was on.

As Clyde was getting dressed he heard his fathers shout out in unison. "CLYDE! CLYDE! COME QUICKLY!"

Clyde barley got his shirt on as he ran into the kitchen to see what his fathers were yelling about. He saw both Harold and Howard pointing to the kitchen television. As Clyde Looked he was a picture of his best friend, his best friend's family, and their house on 1216 Franklyn Ave. on the screen.

Clyde Face froze with shock as he watched and listened to the developing story.

At the same time about five blocks away form were the McBride's Live. At the Santiago Residents Maria the mother of the family was getting ready for another long shift at the hospital when she called for her children. Her son Roberto 'Bobby' and her daughter Ronalda 'Ronnie Anne' were in the television room when Maria called them for breakfast.

"Roberto! Ronalda! Breakfast is ready!" She called out.

But the two didn't answer despite the kitchen being right next to the t.v. room and there was no door connecting. It was almost as if they did not hear a word.

Maria walked into the room were Bobby and Ronnie Anne were. As she came it looked to her that both Bobby and Ronnie Anne were in a trance. The two were standing motionlessly as a news report played on the Television. It shown a family photo as well as the photo of a house then the photo of a young boy with white hair. It was the same news report that the McBride family was watching. After Maria looked at the photos and the names the reporter was saying, Maria asked. "Roberto, Is that your girlfriend, Ronalda is that your friend from school?"

"None other." Ronnie Anne said in a monotone with a blank expression.

The news report that was both the McBride Family and Santiago Family was watching aired like this.

(This is Kathrin Mulligan with a developing story. At about midnight Monday morning a Police Cruiser picked up a young boy with torn ragged clothes coved in filth who was walking alone on the streets. The Boy Was Identified as Eleven Year Old Lincoln Loud who's own Family kicked him out of their own House for what can be describe as both a very cruel and very idiotic reason. Apparently one of their daughters got into a fight with Lincoln about a few weeks ago. She convince her family that he was bad luck and as of that forced him to sleep outside, they even boarded up his room but not before cleaning out all of his belongings and selling them. Lincoln is both the Middle Child and only brother of eleven children. The sister who got into the fight whom convinced her family that he was bad luck was identified as Lynn Loud Jr. who was also the base picture for the Royal Woods Squirrel's softball team.)

At that moment a certainty softball coach who was watching the same story unfold made up his mind of making sure one of his 'Former Players' never plays on any sport teams again.

(With me now is Officer Tanner one of the police officers who picked Lincoln up off the street. Officer)

Kathrin said as she handed the microphone over to a Police Officer.

("Hello Mr. Mulligan" Officer Tanner said

"Officer Tanner it was said that you've discovered Lincoln walking the streets alone at midnight. Is that Correct?" Kathrin Mulligan asked

"Yes, it was about two minutes three minute past midnight, we were coming to the end of our patrol when all of a sudden in the distances we saw someone walking alone on the street. At first we thought because they were far off in the distance it must be some homeless guy or someone lost. Because it was right after midnight, there were no bar or shops or stores open at that time. As soon as we came close we could see that it was a minor about ten or eleven years old." Officer Tanner continued

"What was your reaction to finding the minor walking alone on the streets late at night?" Kathrin Mulligan asked

"We we're shocked. He looked homeless. His clothes were all tattered and he was dirty. We asked him what happened and he told us blatantly that he was kicked out of his house." Officer Tanner said.)

As the McBride and Santiago Families were watching this story unfold right in front of them. All six people were zoned into the news report as it was being broadcast. Harold, Howard, Clyde, Maria, Bobby and Ronnie Anne all stayed glued to the televisions as the story was unfolding. They completely forgot about everything ells in their immediate surroundings. Harold and Howard forgot that they were making breakfast for Clyde, Maria forgot she was working at the Hospital. Clyde, Bobby and Ronnie Anne forgot it was a school day. It was like the world around them stopped turning and all they can think about was the developing story. All Clyde can think about was his Best Friend. All Bobby can think about was the eleven year old whom he thought of as a younger brother. All Ronnie Anne can think about was her friend whom most people mistook for her boyfriend. Clyde's Dad's and Maria all felt the same way about Lincoln. Who would do such a thing to him!? and why!?

The news report than cuts to Kathrin Mulligan with a man in a three piece tie suit.

("With me now is Detective Richard Cane of the Royal Woods Police force." Kathrin Mulligan said as she handed the mike over to Detective Cane. "Now Detective Cane I understand you took a very interesting roll in this case?" She asked

"Indeed I did." Detective Cane said.

"Could you explain to me exactly what happened?" Ms. Mulligan asked

"I was at my office working late when I was told about an eleven year old boy who was picked up off the streets because according to his own words he was kicked out by his own parents. I was told the boy was sitting in the interrogation room and when I went to question him, he looked as if he was living alone under a bridge for several weeks. I knew right then and there that he was kick out and everything he said about his family was true." Detective Cane continued

"What did you mean by that?" Ms. Mulligan asked

"The next morning after obtaining a search warrant for the house he lives as well as an arrest warrant for his parents and one of his sisters. I went in expect what we found." Detective Cane said

"And what did you find?" Kathrin asked

"We found his bedroom, it was boarded up from the outside as well as his clothes and a few personal belongings in storage bins in the garage. After breaking into his room we found it was completely empty. There were signs of furniture, Carpet indentation showing that the room did have someone living in it before he was kicked out." Detective Cane continued.

"Was this evidence enough to press charges against them?" Mr. Mulligan asked

"Absolutely, In addition to the evidence we've collect upstairs we've also obtain a squirrel mascot suit the family forced him to wear in public every ware he went. However it was the testimonies of the eleven children was even more incriminating." Detective Cane said

"More incriminating?" Kathrin asked

"After arresting the parents I've questioned each of the sisters and it seemed as though Lincoln was the victim of bad parenting long before he was kicked out of his house. The two eldest sisters informed me about a fight the ten sisters got into. Punching, Kicking, Biting the kind of fight responsible parent's break up, But instead of breaking up the fight the two parents hid in the closet.

Then I was informed about a time all eleven siblings got into a fight over money. The parent did punish them by forcing them to clean the attic, however it was revealed that the previous owner left a note stating that they left a hidden fortune behind. The eleven kid pretty much destroyed the house making a huge mess of both their bedrooms, kitchen, and living rooms, and yet the parents still payed them for cleaning the attic despite the rest of the house being trashed.

Then the girls informed me of the time all eleven kids went on strike from doing their chores, how garbage, dirty laundry, and about everything disgusting piled up in the house. I've seen photos of war torn countries that were more pleasant than what the girls described.

After that Lincoln also told me about the time he asked his mom if he could do the grocery shopping for her. His sisters agreed to come along with him and they pretty much caused a ruckus of chaos in the super market. The eleven siblings were kicked out and his mother scolded him for what his sisters did.

He informed me about a girl who was bulling him in school, and when his sisters found out about it. They told him that she likes him and that he should get to know her.

He also told me about a time when he accidently made that same girl cry and how his eldest sister forced him on a double date with her because it turns out she was dating the girls elder brother.

Then he informed me about how he was band from going to an Ace Savvy Convention for clogging up the only toilet in the house with a 'Princes Pony' Book a book belonging to his goth emo sister, and how he took the blame for it because he knew it was hers and she'd be an easy target for bully's anyway.

Then all eleven siblings told me how they literally destroyed the family's van over a so called 'Sweet Spot' and how instead of taking odd jobs to work of the damages. They were punished by sitting in a living room for a whole week without watching television. Like That's a punishment." Detective Cane explained

"Wow! That is a lot of charges!" Kathrin said with shock

"That wasn't all. Lincoln then informed me about when he was making chocolate pies for a bake sale and how his sisters ate all the chocolate.

How he purchased Ear Plugs to get a little peace and quiet, and how his sister both threatened him, embarrassed him, and other things like using him for kickboxing or as a footstool.

How when he got failing grades in school he went to the Community College for a tutor and how his sisters chased his tutor out of his house.

Then the girls informed me about the time he won a Free Limo ride and how he was going to take them to the Burping Burger and how he left them home alone all day.

They also informed me about the time Lincoln wanted to cut back on their energy consumption. To as he put it reduce their echo footprint, and how he spent more energy playing video games as the rest of the girls lived like it was the stone age.

Then Lincoln informed me how every April Fool's Day his one sister becomes psychotic and rigs the house with life threatening Prank Traps, which to him sounds more like Death Traps.

The Stories, the Paperwork, all the testimony from this one family was so, so large it was almost endless. I couldn't take it anymore." Detective Cane explained with rage.

"What did you do?" Kathrin asked

"After recording Lincoln and his sister's testimony I've decided to change the charges pressed against the parents. Originally I was going to charge the two with only One Account of Child Abuse, Child Neglect, and Child Endangerment for what they did to Lincoln. After the hours' of testimony from all eleven siblings that was well documented for the trial ahead I've decided to change the charges against them to Eleven Accounts Child Abuse, Eleven Account Child Neglect, and Eleven Accounts Child Endangerment." Detective Cane Concluded)

The McBride Family, and the Santiago family were both in a state of sorrow and disbelief. Tears ran down the six faces. Clyde soon found himself in a group hug between his two dads. Maria, Bobby and Ronnie Anne too were crying over the horrible truth about the Loud family that was just reviled to them as well as everyone in the state of Michigan.

At that moment at the McBride's house Smoke from the burning breakfast set off the smoke alarm, Harold and Howard quickly broke out of their trance and put the fire out. At the same time at the Santiago Residents Maria got a call from her supervisor asking where she asking where she was.

As Maria went to answer the call Ronnie Anne looked on at the television with tears streaming down her face. "I'm So Sorry Lincoln." She wept quietly.

As the day was moving on at the 'Michigan Women's State Penitentiary' Prisoner 2323 was sent to a waiting room. Prisoner 2323 was none other than Rita Loud the mother of the family that only moments ago became known do to a news report.

At that moment a heavy set bald man walked into the room were Rita was sitting. He wore a tie and sports coat and carried a briefcase. He looked worried almost like he was in a state of panic. "Twenty Years of Practice And This Is The Thanks I Get! I Have Got To Be The Most Unluckiest Person Who Ever Passed A Bar Exam!" he shouted to himself

As soon as he saw Rita he looked at her and said. "Wait! Are you Rita Loud?" the man asked

"Yes." Rita said

Looking at her he asked with a knitted eyebrows. "Really?"

Rita looked down with a look of sham. "It about what we did to my son isn't it?" She asked in a melancholy tone.

"Of Course it Does! We Only Have Two Months To Prepare Your Case." The Heavy set bald man said.

Confused as well as worried Rita asked. "Who are you?"

"I'm Frank Higgins Your Lawyer, And I Can Not Believe The Charges You And Your Husband Are Facing. Eleven Accounts Child Abuse! Eleven Accounts Neglect! Eleven Accounts Child Endangerment! It Seems That The Best Option For You Is To Plead Guilty!" Frank said in

"That's Okay Because We Are!" Rita explained out of guilt.

"Well You Better Be Ready To Explain Yourself Two Months From Now!" Frank explained

"Why What's Going to Happen To Us?" Rita asked worryingly

"What Do You Think Is Going To Happen To You Rita Loud? Exactly To Months From Today You and Your Husband Are Going On Trial!" Frank explained.

With the court date scheduled and Attorneys appointed for each side. The case of "The State Of Michigan Vs. Loud!" as it was called was going to be the only thing dominating the news and media for the next two months. Just about every News Paper in Midwest printed out in bold print.

(THE STATE OF MICHIGAN VS. LOUD!)

It was all the media in the entire state of Michigan was coving at the moment. Within two months at the Michigan State Courthouse the trial which everyone will be talking about for years to come will be taking place.

Two Months Later…..

Lansing Michigan may be the Capital of Michigan however most of the activity that is going on today would not be seen at the State's Capital Building, But at the Lansing's Court House were thousands of news reporters and news vans gathered outside for the Court House waiting for the verdict of the most watch trial in Michigan history.

Meanwhile not so far away from Lansing in the Neighboring town of Great Lakes City at a Bodega Called "The Casagrande's" The Latino family who own the bodega were watching the developing story.

(This Is Kathrin Mulligan Reporting Outside the Lasing Courthouse Were in Just a few minutes from now the Case of 'The State Of Michigan Vs. Loud' will take place.)

As she is reporting the new photos of the Loud family appear on the screen behind her. Pictures of Lincoln, Lori and the rest of the Loud family came up on screen. As the Casagrande Family was watching this Hector, Rosa, and Carlos remember talks with Maria back in Royal Woods.

"Is that the girl Bobby's Dating, and the young Boy Ronnie Anne likes?" Hector asked

Like many families through out the state of Michigan the Casagrande's stayed glued to the television screen as the trial began.

Meanwhile in the Courthouse, In the Courtroom Two parents in the early forties wearing orange jump suits, with their thirteen year old daughter who was also wearing an orange jump suit were lead in buy armed guards. The three were lead to a table were their lawyer Frank Higgins was seat. At the table next to them another lawyer sat with ten children, nine girls and one boy. The lawyer looked at Frank with a smug expression and said. "Defending Criminals!? Shouldn't that be Illegal!?"

Frank looked back at him with an agitated expression and said. "I was assigned to this!"

At that moment the bailiff walked in and said. "All Rise for The honorable Judge Jefferson!"

After the Judge took his seat he called into the trial into order.

The prosecuting attorney stood up as he presented his case. "Your Honor, we have sitting before you three monsters. The evidence against these three is overwhelming. They are Lynn Loud Sr., Rita and Lynn Jr. are monsters for what they did to their only son/ brother. The last person any would expect to mistreat. They kicked him out of their home and forced him to sleep in their backyard."

As the prosecutor was presenting his case he then pulled in a huge screen television to present the photographic evidence on screen for everyone to see.

"These photos were taken inside the house and they tell the same story."

A picture came up that shown the closet door boarded up was shown.

"This use to be the bedroom were Lincoln use to sleep at night. When we removed the board that were nailed in place to keep their son out of the house this is what we found."

A picture of an empty room came up with, An empty room with indentations on the carpet.

"You can tell from the indentations on the carpet that this room once had furniture in it. A bed, a dresser, a place to hang his clothes. Now it was completely emptied of all of its belongings."

The prosecuting explained as he pointed out the indentations in the carpet were the furniture once was.

Then pictures from inside the garage appeared. One showing storage bins.

"The boy's clothes and belongings were found in the garage. In storage bins staked on top of one and other."

After showing the photographic evidence on the flat screen monitor and the monitor was sent back he continued.

"The parents informed the police that Lincoln's furniture was sold after he was evicted from his room and it was boarded up. All his belonging placed in storage bins and placed in the garage. This is not the work of responsible parents. This is the Work of lazy, brainless, heartless careless parents who don't care about their children." The prosecuting attorney stated

"THAT IS NOT TRUE!" Rita shouted out

"ORDER!" Judge Jefferson shouted as he banged his gavel.

"I would like to call my first witness. Detective Richard Cane." The prosecuting attorney said

Detective Cane came walking up to the stand and as he sat down.

"State your name and occupation please?" The prosecuting attorney asked.

"Richard Cane, I am a detective in the Royal Woods Police force." Detective Cane said.

"Tell me Detective Cane, Were you're called in to investigate this particular case involving the Loud Family?" The prosecuting attorney asked.

"Yes I was!" Detective Cane said

"And I understand you've interviewed each of the eleven Loud siblings upon the arrest of their parents?" The prosecuting attorney asked.

"That is also correct." Detective Cane said

"Could you share with the court what the Loud children told you about their family?" The prosecuting attorney asked

At that moment Detective Cane pulled out a tape recorder, he placed it on stand and said. "Here is a recording of everything the Loud Children shared with me." And with that he pressed the play button on the tape recorder.

("About a month ago me and Leni got into a fight over a dress were we've kicked Lincoln out of the house." Lori start

"He got in the way of our sister protocol. And we needed him out of the house in order to resolve our differences." Leni continued.

The statement did spark interest in Detective Cane. Maybe there was more to this family than what Lincoln said. "What kind of fight? Was it like words shouts of profanity? Or physical fighting, Punching and kicking?" Detective Cane asked

"It was a physical fight their was also a lot of biting, clawing, as well as punching and kicking." Lori explained.

"Were your parent present in the house at the time?" Detective Cane asked

"Yes they were." Lori replied

"Did they try to break up the fight?" Detective Cane asked

"NO! THEY DID NOT! They didn't want to get involved in our protocol." Lori explained.

.

"Lincoln, your sisters told me about the whole Sister Protocol and how they kick you out." Detective Cane said.

"That's not all they did!" Lincoln Said

"Anything Ells you want to share with me about your sisters?" Detective Cane Asked

"As a matter of fact I do! Last year I was making chocolate pies to sell at a bake sale, But my Sisters Ate all the Chocolate! I tried making Salt and Vinegar Pies For the Bake Sale but it turned out bad. Either Way Because of The Chocolate my Sisters Ate!" Lincoln shouted

"There was another time when I was getting failing grades in school, I went to the Junior College for a Tutor. My sisters all chased my tutor away, They would not give me a moment alone with him so I can study.

I once wanted some peace and quiet from them so I purchased 'Noise B Gone' Earplug. My sister done everything bad to me. Lynn used me for Kick boxing, Leni used me as her mannequin even Lori used me as a footstool.

I once asked my mother if I can do the grocery shopping, she agreed and my sisters came along. At the super market they caused all sorts of problems. A Rokus of Chaos and Leni even tried to free the Lobsters so they would not get eaten. I was kicked out and my mom blamed me for everything that was my sisters fault.

Then there was this one girl Ronnie Anne who bully's me in school. When my sisters found out about it they told me that she likes me and I should get to know her.

One time I was explaining to my friends that she was rude and grouse and totally annoying. She overheard me saying this and my eldest sister Lori forced me to go on a double date with her and her brother because it turned out she was dating him." Lincoln explained. )

This wasn't even half of the testimony recorded that Detective Cane played for the jurors in the trial. After he played hours of testimony of Lincoln and his sisters explaining the chaotic life in the family some jurors even broke down crying.

"Alright Detective Cane you may go now." The Prosecuting Attorney said

As Detective Cane left the stand the Prosecuting Attorney called his final witness. "Now for my final evidence I'd like to call to the stand Doctor Cohn."

With that an elderly doctor walked up to the stand.

"State your name and occupation for the record please." The prosecuting attorney said

"Dr. Henry Cohn, Criminal Pathologist." Dr. Cohn said

"As a Criminal Pathologist what do you do?" The Prosecuting attorney asked

"I usually deal with homicides and domestic abuse cases. Basically the police department with their cases to determine if the death or injuries of a victim were accidental or intentional?" Dr. Cohn explain

"And I understand you've examined Lincoln Loud after the police picked him up?" The Attorney asked

"That is correct." Dr. Cohn said

"Tell us what did you notice about Lincoln after you examination?" The Attorney asked

"I've realized that he had a considerable amount of cuts and bruises on him. The cuts were made from outdoor elements sleeping outside in the back yard without a tent or a sleeping bag. The bruises on the other hand struck me as the most intriguing." Dr. Cohn explained

At that moment Lynn Jr. began to sweat, and shake. Her face turned pale as if she was about to come down with a nasty flu virus.

"What was so interesting about the bruises on a boy?" The Attorney asked

"I knew the bruises had to have came from a blunt instrument like a baseball bat." Dr. Cohn stated.

At that moment Lynn Sr. and Rita's face's turn pale white and the two looked as if they too were coming down with a nasty flu just like Lynn Jr.

The prosecuting attorney walked over to the evidences table. Placed rubber gloves on his hand, reached into a brown paper bag and pulled out a baseball bat.

"You mean like This Bat?" The Attorney Asked

At that moment Lynn sr. and Rita both looked down with shock and appall to the thirteen year old daughter Lynn Jr.

Dr. Cohn took one good long look at the baseball bat and said. "Yes in fact that's the same bat which I compared the bruises to."

Lynn Sr., Rita and Lynn Jr. were all at a lose for words. They knew right then and there that it was none other than Lynn Jr. baseball bat.

"Could you explain about that?" The Attorney asked

"After photographing Lincoln's bruises I've enlarged them so I can examine them next to the evidence taken from the house. One particular evidence that was taken from the house was that baseball bat. The marks of the bruises were identical with that very baseball bat you're holding. There is no question about it. That he was beaten with it." Dr. Cohn finished.

Lynn Jr. could feel knots forming in her stomach. She felt pale and queasy she knew then and there that she was busted.

"The baseball bat taken from the house belonged to none other that Lynn Jr., the same Lynn jr. who convinced her entire family that her brother was bad luck and had him kicked out of their house." The attorney said.

At that moment Lynn Jr. passed out and the table and the three defendants had to be taken out. Judge Jefferson called for a momentary reassess for Lynn Jr. to be examined, turned out she only passed out due to stress and not the stress she's used to. Both Lynn Sr. and Rita were Shocked, Appalled and infuriated that Lynn Jr. would beat her only brother with a baseball bat. As for Frank Higgins the Loud's defense attorney he knew it was all over for him and for his clients. No amount of arguing or debating would not do any good in this matter.

He walked over to the three and asked. "Do you think we should just enter into a guilty plea?"

Both Lynn Sr. and Rita felt the weight of the world pressing on their chest. They feel a guilty plea is the only options for them.

After a while the Lynn Jr. Sr. and Rita returned to the courtroom.

Judge Jefferson called the court back into session. "Now how does the defense plea?" He asked

Frank Higgins the Loud's defense attorney stood up and before he could say a word.

"Guilty!" was said in the jury box.

Judge Jefferson looked at the Jury and said. "I asked the defense for their plea, Not The Jurys verdict." He replied.

"No their right. I Myself have examined all the evidence and there is no question, no excuse, My clients did to their only son and brother is inexcusable, and undeniable. We Plead Guilty to all charges." Frank Higgins said.

"Now! What is the jury's verdicts?" Judge Jefferson asked

"GUILTY!" the jury shouted in unison.

"Lynn Loud Sr. and Rita Loud I sentence you to life in prison with no possibility of parole. As for you Lynn Loud Jr. I sentence you to five years in the Michigan Juvenile Correctional Facility. May God Have Pity On Your Child Abusing, Child Neglecting, Child Endangering Souls.!" Judge Jefferson said as he banked his gavel for the last time.

Everything that happened in the court became state wide news. Soon every word the prosecution said, every action, every little detail would be known by the entire state of Michigan. As for the Loud children aside from L.J. they were going to be adopted.

A.N. Sorry if it took a little long, for this longer than usual chapter. The next chapter will focus on what happens to the Loud siblings getting adopted. As for why the McBride's don't adopt Lincoln. Well you'll have to find out in the next chapter.
