Chapter 10. A Rockers Redemption.

After coming into the waiting room prisoner 3232 saw two people she never expected to see in person again. She was even surprised to see Lynn the one sister who was responsible for everything that has happened.

After a few moments of awkward silence Luna then spoke. "So, Lincoln, Lynn what brings you here?"

"We originally came here to see mom, But found out you're here also." Lincoln said

"We could be asking you that same question?" Lynn said

"So why are you here? Domestic disturbance complaints for playing your music way to loud?" Lincoln asked

Luna looked down, lowered her eyes and sighed heavily. "It's a long sad story bro." Luna said in a glum tone.

A little hesitant Lynn asked. "So how long have you've been here?"

"I'm on the second year of a five year sentence. However I am also be held on a five hundred dollar bail." Luna answered

Both Lynn and Lincoln stood silent. Lynn Looked at Lincoln and Lincoln looked at Lynn. Luna could tell by the expressions on each of their faces that they were both in deep thought.

Very hesitant Luna asked. "So… um… You guy's won't mind paying my bail?"

"We just need to process this Luna, right now I don't know if we should free you or just leave here and avoid you?" Lynn said

Luna looked down with depression and hopelessness in her eyes. After seeing how sad Luna looked Lincoln did feel for his one sister who he was very close to at one time. "Look Luna, If you really want to get out I'll pay your bail."

Luna looked up at her brother with a smile and her eyes began to water. Lynn was a little hesitant. "Um…Link are you sure this is a good idea?" Lynn asked

"I was thinking the same thing about forgiving you back when we first met at the ball park." Lincoln replied.

Even though Lynn's fears were reasonable at the time. She still went along with Lincoln's suggestion. After a talk with the warden and a five hundred dollar transfer later Luna was freed from Prison and was reunited with two of her siblings. The truth was after seeing her brother Lincoln again she really wanted to just run up to him through her arms around him and cover his face with kisses. But knowing the nature of the families situation as well as the history he has with Lynn, and after seeing Lincoln and Lynn together Luna did have hope that her brother would forgive her.

Meanwhile back at the Michigan water park Lincoln's wife Kate and his three sons Michael, Jeffrey, and Franklin were having a great time until Kate got a message on her phone. She soon recognized it was from her husband Lincoln. It read-(Kate just got back from visiting my parents in prison. I came across another one of my sisters. Inform the three that they'll be introduced to their Aunt Luna.)

After Kate read Lincoln's message she immediately called her three sons together and as soon as they were together she explained. "Look Dad and Aunt Lynn are coming back, Dad also said they have another one of your Aunt's will be joining us Aunt Luna."

"Aunt Luna?" Michael asked

"Is She Dad's evil step sister?" Franklin asked

"No she's one of Dad's real sisters." Kate answered

"How many Aunt do we have?" Jeffrey asked

Michael looked at Jeffrey and said. "Seriously, You don't remember that night Dad told us about his ten evil step-sisters. They were really Dad's ten real sisters whom mistreated him."

"So that means we have ten aunts." Jeffrey asked

"Ten aunts we never knew we had until five months ago." Michael replied

Within a few minute the care Lincoln drove his family in returned to the water park, and sure enough Luna was with the other two.

"Michael, Jeffrey, Franklin." Lincoln called out

Within seconds Lincolns three sons were stand right in front of their father and his two sisters.

"This is your Aunt Luna." Lincoln introduced them.

As soon as Kate and the three got a good look at their Aunt Luna, with her knee high leather boots, torn black jeans, scull tank top, leather jacket, Buzz cut, tattoo's, and multiple ear piercings. They stood back in fear. To them she looked like a drug dealer from off the streets.

"Um Lincoln? Where did you did you say you found her?" Kate asked in an uneasy tone.

"I found her in prison. She was serving a five year sentence, It fortunate that they released her on a five hundred dollars bail." Lincoln said

At this moment Kate twitched and a vain formed on the side of her forehead. "Lincoln! Can I Have A Word With You Alone!?" she asked in a very uneasy tone.

As Lincoln and Kate walked off to talk away from his sister's and sons. Luna decided to get to know her three nephews.

"So …Uh…I Take it you three little dudes are my nephews?" Luna asked

"I'm Michael, This is Jeffrey and Franklin." Michael introduced his two brothers to their Aunt. As Luna and getting to know her three nephews. The five can hear Lincoln and Kate's alone conversation in the back.

"Lincoln Are You Crazy!? She Was Placed In Prison For A Reason! You Can't Just Release People From Prison!" Kate explained in an almost hysterical tone.

"Calm Down Kate, Look I'm Sure It was only a minor charge against her. It's not like she killed anyone." Lincoln explained trying to calm down his wife.

After overhearing what Lincoln said Luna turned her head and her face fell. Lynn and the three could tell that she looked like she was on the verge of tears.

"Aunt Luna? What's Wrong?" Jeffrey asked

"Oh, Nothing. It's just that…" Luna tried to explain as she was fighting back tears at the same time. "It just that I'm worried that's all."

"Worried about what?" Jeffrey asked

"I'm worried about your Father and your Mother. What if your mother doesn't like me? What if she wouldn't let me hang out with you, or your father?" Luna answered to the best of her ability.

As Luna was trying to explain herself to her nephews. Lincoln was in the other room trying his best to explain himself to his wife.

"Look Kate, She's my sister, she's my family. You said so yourself that I should forgive my family for all the hell they put me through." Lincoln explained

"Lincoln, Just because one of your sisters spent five years in juvie and because of her experience she changed her ways, doesn't mean that the other sister who was sent to prison for only God knows what is a changed person." Kate tried to explained to her husband.

"By the way why was she in prison?" Kate asked

"I don't know she never told me." Lincoln replied

Shortly afterword's both Kate and Lincoln came out and asked. "Luna why were you sent to prison?"

Luna looked down and said. "If you must know I'll show you."

"Show us? Why not tell us?" Kate asked

"There is a cemetery about a three hours drive from the prison I was relisted from. If we drive there I'll show you." Luna explained

"A Cemetery! Did You Kill Someone!?" Kate asked

"KATE!" Lincoln shouted getting angry

"It's alright bro. She has every right not to hate as does everyone ells." Luna said

Now the Louder family piled into the car with a very uncomfortable unnerving about one of the now five people sitting in the back seat of their car. Michael and Franklin were squeezed off to the side literally being pressed into the doors. As for Jeffrey he was now squeezed between two aunts. One reeking of armpits and toe jam, the other reeking of hard liquor and marijuana smoke. For the next three hours the seven drove down the road taking Luna's instructions as they came up to "St. Alban's Cemetery."

As soon as they pulled in Luna got jumped out of the car and ran off as fast as she could.

"LUNA! WAIT?" Lincoln cried out.

"I knew releasing her from prison was a bad idea!" Lynn said

"You can't say I didn't warn you!" Kate said

"Come on you two! If she brought us up here for a reason!" Lincoln explained

"Yah it was to get as far away from the prison as she possibly can." Lynn said

"NO! If She wanted to get away from the prison Why would she pick above all things a cemetery?" Lincoln asked

"Maybe because it's a good place to hide a dead body?" Kate said

Lincoln knew the joke Kate made would be in bad taste even for his sister Luan.

"Well you two could just stay here." Lincoln said as he began to leave.

"Dad Were are you going?" Michael asked

"To find my sister." Lincoln said

"Your Funeral Bro." Lynn said

Lincoln just ignored her as he left to find Luna. He walked up and down the row of tombstones all around. The cemetery was fairly big enough to get lost in but at the same time clear enough to make out everything in the surroundings. Lincoln soon caught Luna standing in the distances.

"LUNA!" Lincoln called out as he ran up to her.

She was standing over one of the tombstones. Her face was riddled with guilt, regret, and remorse. To Lincoln it looked as if she was standing over the grave of a loved one who's death she felt responsible for. Lincoln walked to Luna and got one good long look at what was written on the Tombstone.

It read:

Samantha Jane Sharp
(2001-2024)
Beloved Daughter
Beloved Sister

After reading the headstone Luna was looking down at Lincoln had to ask. "Was she an old friend of yours?"

Lincoln could tell Luna was on the verge of tears. "Her name was Sam. She was the love of my life." She said as tears started to run down her face.

Lincoln felt a deep sense of sorrow and pity for his sister. As Luna continued her story.

"After the trial and everyone was adopted by various different families I was adopted by Chunk." Luna continued.

"Chunk! Your British friend who would come by the house?" Lincoln asked

Luna nodded her head signifying yes.

"What happened to him?" Lincoln asked

"He died of a heart-attack ten years ago. He was cremated and his ash's flown back to Briton." Luna answered.

"Oh…Luna." Lincoln said quietly

"Anyway Me and Sam first met in high-school. We were in the same band together. During our freshmen year we started smoking marijuana. By that time it was made perfectly legal in the state of Michigan. After high school we tried a number of thing from heroin, to crystal meth. Anything that would give us a high." Luna said as she began to shake. Tears continued streaming down her face.

"One Night in 2024….We were at a party. We drank a lot and began smoking crystal meth…I Don't remember much about that night….All I do Remember was Sam saying she was not feeling good….. I…. I didn't think much about it…." Luna said asked tears poured down her face.

"I…I woke up on the floor next to Sam…..I thought We…..We passed out…I shook Sam to get her to wake up…But Sam….Sam wasn't breathing….and she was cold….cold as ice…I screamed to the top of my Lungs..…Bro…She….She was…"Luna tried to explain as she just broke down to tears.

She threw herself on to her brother as Lincoln held her close to him. Luna didn't need to say anything ells. Lincoln already knew then and there why she was in jail.

As Lincoln was holding and comforting his sister a voice shouted out from behind the two

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE!"

The two turned around and saw a heavy set man with long blond hair that went down to his shoulders.

"I Told You! I Never Wanted To See Your Face Again!" He shouted

Luna's expression went from that of sorrow and remorse to that of terror and fear. She quickly hid behind Lincoln for protection.

A little confused Lincoln asked. "Do…Do you two know each other?"

The heavyset man stepped forward. "My name is Simon Sharp. And your friend is responsible for my sister's death!" He said as he pointed to Luna who was hiding behind Lincoln.

"Please Simon I Swear it was an Accident. I never meant for any of this to happen." Luna said pleading with him.

It was at that moment Lincoln took a defensive stance in front of Luna and said. "Now hold on a minute okay. Luna already explained everything to me. She explained about the concert and how the two passed out."

"Yah! Did she tell you that my sister died from a drug overdose? An autopsy confirmed that she had overwhelmingly high levels of amphetamines in her system. Amphetamines from the Crystal Meth she got my sister hooked on." Simon said as he pointed his finger at Luna.

"Look, Simon! Lets get a few things straight. First of all she's not my friend! She's my sister." Lincoln started.

At that moment Simon cut in. "Your sister!? Since when did you have a brother!? I thought she was an only child!?"

"Well no! It's a complicated story you see. I was kicked out of my house when I was only eleven years old and our parents were sent to prison because of it. We were each adopted by different families." Lincoln explained

At that moment the gears inside of Simons head came to a screeching stop. "Hold on a minute! You mean to tell me that You the Boy from the whole "State of Michigan vs. Loud" trial." He asked

Even though he was only about ten or eleven at the time. Even though the events of the whole "State of Michigan vs. Loud" happened over twenty years ago. The memories of that faithful event were still fresh in the mind of everyone in the state of Michigan. Simon just like everyone ells in the state of Michigan knew about the whole trial and the whole story about the family who kicked their only son out of the house and how the parents were jailed because of it.

"As a matter of fact I am." Lincoln stated.

At that moment Simons domineer went from that of an angry enraged person to that of being guilt redden and regretful. "I…I had no idea how…how mess up Luna was." Simon said

"Hey!" Luna shouted back

Lincoln standing in front of the two maintain order. "Now, Now Luna and Simon. I want you both to know right now. The only reason I came back to Michigan was reconnect with my old family. Yes what they did was wrong and yes they all suffered for it. I didn't even know Luna had a drug problem until I met her in prison." He explained.

"You now know why she was in prison." Simon said pointing to the grave of his dead sister.

"That's beside the point! The Point is we've All Made Bad Choices in Life. I originally went down to that prison to reconcile with my mother." Lincoln explained

"Your mother!? Who kicked you out of your own house when you were only eleven?" Simon asked

"Yes Simon. I knew what she did was wrong and I knew she deserves to stay behind bars. In fact she's going to be staying in prison for the rest of her life. But I still forgave her. I still forgave because even though what she did was wrong, even though she deserves to be locked up forever. She knows what she did was wrong and she regrets every moment of it. And I want to give her some clerisy that she was still my mother and I love her. Because it's never healthy to harbor a grudge against anyone. It's better to forgive them for their mistakes." Lincoln explained

Both Luna and Simon stood in silent. For a good few moment or so they were at a loss for words. After hearing Lincoln and his talk about forgiveness and family they two stood in astonishment. As for Simon who lost his own sister from a drug overdose from which he blamed Luna for getting her hooked on. Lincoln the boy who was kicked out of his own house by his own family. He always thought he'd be the very last person in the world who would forgive people who hurt him like he did. Simon stood there long and hard thinking about he treated Luna and what he said. He thought long and hard about his own ordeal.

After a while Simon took a deep breath. "Look, Even….Even though you did get my sister hooked on the drugs and all….Even though I did overreact at your trial and said you should be jailed for life…Maybe I was a little too harsh on you. I mean after all It could have been you who died that night from the overdose. In fact I spent the past two years wishing it was you, But now I see if…If your brother can forgive his own family for treating like an animal all those years ago. I can probably forgive you for what happened to my sister. I mean…I know it wasn't you fault. Sam only told me good things about you. But I…I want you to know. Luna I forgive you."

Unbeknownst to the three Lynn, Kate and Lincoln three sons came over to the part of the cemetery were Lincoln, Luna, and Simon were. Because a long time has passed and the five were getting worried about Luna and Lincoln.

once again streamed down Luna's face. Lincoln placed his hand on his sister's shoulder and said. "I want you to know Luna that you have my deepest sympathies for your friend."

"Oh! Bro." Luna crocked out. At that moment Luna through her arms around him. Lincoln hugged his sister right back. She shook with the force of an epileptic sizer. Crying and sobbing in Lincoln shoulder. Lincoln too began to cry as he held his trembling older sister in his arms. Lincoln could not help but feel sorry for his once energetic rocker older sister being reduced to a tragic wreck. He knew the depth of her guilt, sadness, and grief. He knew how much Sam's death weighed in on her soul and how the guilt and regret was tearing her apart inside. Luna had a long road ahead of her, and Lincoln was going to help her. He was going to help Luna on her long road to redemption. It was not going to be an easy path for her. Luna's lifetime of drug and alcohol abuse took its' toll on her health in more ways than one, but Lincoln knew. He knew right then and there that she need him. She needed him to help her get out of the depth of trouble were she was.

As for Lynn, Kate, Lincoln's three son's and Simon. They just stood there looking on at Lincoln holding and comforting his distraught sister in his arms. For Luna to be held by her Baby Bro. Her Little Man. Now all grown up. She never wanted to lose this moment to be held by her brother after all she went through.

As for Simon. He dropped all charges against Luna. After listening to Lincoln word and knowing about his story he walked away with a different point of view. Simon felt different that day almost like a changed man. He knew if a young boy who was kicked out by his own family can forgive them for what they did to him. Then he too can forgive the person who was responsible for his sister's death.
