"…What?"

"As I said, I want to be with my darling."

"….." Ryoma deadpanned, looking at the guard, who shrugged and tried to look away. It was unclear how it happened.

"….. is something wrong?"

"….Lady Akemi…."

"Just call me Akemi, Lord Ryoma," the girl grinned. "As you know, I have been a reeeeeaaaaaally good girl, so, could you be so kind as to sign?"

Ryoma sighed. Right now, he was busy dealing with the council. They demanded to talk with Yukimura or Kamui, at some point, they were one step away from filing a formal complaint to start pushing where he really didn't want them to, and now, this girl appeared out of nowhere with a paper that allowed her to see Kamui. It had the sign of Oboro, she wasn't authorized but the request at the end of the paper and the guard at her side made it pretty clear that it was something she requested.

"Look… I don't know what´s happening, but I can't approve this, Sakura is the one in charge, if you can get her approval, th-"

"B-Big brother," The timid girl appeared at the door. "C-Can I… talk to you for a moment?"

"S-Sakura? Wh-"

"I-I'm sorry to interrupt, b-but I heard it from b-big sister," Sakura said, approaching the table. Akemi smiled, looking at the girl "…I… I believe she needs to see him."

"….." Ryoma looked at her. She shyly tried to look away, but after drifting her eyes away for a brief moment, she returned her gaze to his eyes. She was clearly distressed, even gloomy for the last days, but seeing how some of…. Hope? Returned to her eyes, and looking at the bandages of her arms, it caused internal conflict.

On one hand, he could allow her, but he wasn't sure if she was trustworthy. On the other, there wasn't much to do about Kamui´s situation. In the end, he needed to do whatever could help him.

"….I´ll let her pass, but only if one of our retainers stay at her side all the time, and if she keeps the secrecy of what happens on the upper floors."

"Yes, of course Big Brother, th-thank you so much!" Sakura smiled, with her hand on her bandage, her face lit a little with the news.

"Let me know the good news."

"Yeah, we will," Sakura smiled tenderly. "I think we can change for the best."

"I'm sure we can," Ryoma sighed when the girls left the room.

It has been a while, yesterday he heard about what happened with Hinoka and Yukimura at the ground level, then there was something that Reina shoved in his mind about being Kamui´s new mother and a lot of crazy stuff.

In the last 48 hours, a lot happened in his room.

The most important thing was the detailed report he received from Kaze. He couldn't believe what it said, since Yukimura was being investigated, he was locked in that small room on the second floor, to ensure any pertinent actions in the castle were outside the reach of the tactician, and now, filling that role by the time being, he heard a lot of things.

"If I lay my hands on that excuse of a man, I´ll only achieve true peace of mind when I behead him with my bare hands, after making him wish he was never born."

The report Reina delivered was clear, short, and shocking. She would stay as long as she could at Kamui's side, she would never do something to betray his trust, even if he had to betray Ryoma or any other part of the royal family, and even she would be accused for murder in cold blood, she declared in an official report that she has the intention to kill the former tactician at first sight.

As second in command, she had an excuse for that, even if it was something so morbid, but still, it was too close to "betrayal."

"Either, I won't say a thing about Kamui, I already know what pains his heart."

"Ok, so you won't tell us so we can present a formal complain?"

"…Lord Ryoma, with all due respect, may I say something?"

"Go ahead."

"Bite me."

The moment the stoic woman said that with a straight face, taking him of guard and everyone in the room, Ryoma was took off balance and needed some moments to recover for her blunt and rude response.

"Do you think any formal complaint would help? Would that un-murder his wife? Would that un-hurt his heart? She sighed. "You can't bring justice here, only retribution."

"You´re… you´re not thinking clearly, maybe you need to take s-"

She took off her glove, Ryoma saw her wounds a few days ago, she even needed some stiches to maintain her cuts from opening, but now, her skin was pristine, it even looked younger? The small lines were the only evidence of her wounds.

"This is the power of his kindness…. This is the proof that Lady Mikoto's blood runs strong through his veins. Yukimura took something…. Unbelievable, his acts….. unforgivable….."

She sighed, looking at him.

"My oath was…. Is with Lady Mikoto, all of us failed to protect the last part of her light, her love…. Her child, so now, I won't hesitate to kill anyone that dares to think they can touch a hair on his head, not even you."

That was unexpected, somewhat disturbing, but seeing her face and determination, even if he knew the two guards at his side would like to strike her down for her audacity, at this point, taking her away from Kamui would be the worst thing he could do right now, the pressure on Oboro could be too great.

"…..I´ll go…. But, you´re wrong," Reina looked at him, somewhat disappointed. "From the look on your face, I believe you think doing this is a burden…. It's saddening that you think so poorly of him…"

That was another strike to his pride, Mikoto´s words were resonating in her rude behavior, even if it was inappropriate for her to act like that, it was the position a mother would take to protect her child. At that moment, he knew she was serious about "adopting" Kamui.

After that, he had to ignore her behavior. Some of the guards that witnessed the whole scene couldn't believe she walked away like it was the most normal thing in the world to do.

After that, Kaze, Saizo, and Kagero came to his office, with Bell.

He remembered the frail girl. From what he knew, she was one of the close servants of Mikoto, and always was willing to help the late queen, but after hearing what Kaze reported, he was pretty damn sure that if someone found out about her, either way she would be executed or exiled for what she has done. At least, he could guess that the council would like to deliver that judgment, for the time being, she was under Kaze and Saizo's custody. They were planning something big, and for starters, Kaze insisted that his brother handled the report and actions to take after making sure Yukimura was captured or struck down. Saizo, for a change, agreed with him, with the excuse that they couldn't trust all the royal guards. Yukimura slipped from their grasp several times, and he wanted blood for that betrayal, that and his pride couldn't accept that some random guards were good enough to evade him.

So for now, he wanted to make sure a small strike force was prepared as soon as possible. Kagero wouldn't join them, since she wanted to know what happened to Orochi, all of sudden she lost the interest in anyone but Kamui. For the last 48 hours, the diviner forgot about her meals, her health and even her sleep, she was forced to rest in the bed Kagero provided after witnessing that her friend was talking to herself with black eyes, there was something that she wanted to do desperately, and now she wouldn't let her own safety be in the way of whatever was stuck in her mind.

So now, they needed a healer and a small group, Hayato would take a look at Orochi, but on another floor.

There were reports of Cyrkensia and letters from Izumo, it was delivered by the Pegasi knights guarding the border and Izana personal guards. The reports of the outside world were like the last time, nobody outside Hoshido know what was happening in Nohr, and Silas with Peri wouldn't talk to anyone, so it was a dead-end, Izana in the other hand, was…. Disturbing.

The letter described the dream of the man a few days ago, something that made the man sequester himself, he even decided not to have another banquet. The odd archduke was out of character, and from what the guards commented, when they left their liege, his looks weren't better. He was trembling, agonizing over something, they described that he couldn't stop trembling, that the god´s delivered one final message before his divine connection was severed.

Under normal circumstances, the archduke would waste a lot of ink to describe and cheer them up, but now, it was short and blunt.

Animosity will kill us all.

It was all.

A small parchment that had his handwriting, he recognized it, there wasn't a hint of doubt in his mind that it was legitimate. But still, he sent his guard for this? The Izumitas told him that their liege was delusional, somehow more reluctant or even paranoid, but in a moment of lucidity, he stated that he couldn't talk more, he wasn't sure if he would be forgotten or not if he said more, on the edge of his mind. His retainers asked for assistance to the best priestess of Izumu, so now, the voice of the gods was silenced.

He shoved off the impulse to check on Kamui and his skills. He knew it would be pointless, even if he managed somehow to convince Orochi to do another check on him, he already knew that no matter the number of times he tried, the result wouldn't change, those unknown skills could only be translated by someone who knows the language, and knowing that it might be from Mikoto's homeland, there was no option but to find Yukimura and hope that he hasn't destroyed her diaries.

For now, all he could do was to finish the paperwork and prepare the terrain for their case, if Yukimura tried to end it in the court instead by his own hands, right now, he had to trust those chose to Kamui, and that meant one more thing to do before day ends.

"Excuse me, did you summon me?" Silas interrupted his thoughts. The guards let him in after making sure he was unarmed.

"Yes…. You´re…. Kamui's best friend from Nohr, aren't you?" He inquired while the knight took seat in front of him, with a movement of his hands, the guards nodded and left them alone.

"Umm, yes, I'm…. His closer friend, and best man," He answered awkwardly. "Excuse me, but, why am I here? Have you considered our request?"

"I'm… struggling with it….. there has been a lot of issues in the last days…" Ryoma sighed. "…..But, it is really true what happened? Xander is the new King?"

"Yes sir…. It wasn't…. easy…." Silas scratched the back of his head. "there are things…. That I don't understand….. Aqua has been…. Really secretive about it….. but the general image is clear, Kamui's flame shone bright between us…"

"….Silas, would you mind telling me what happened in Nohr?"

"Uh?"

"Sorry, it's just…. hard to believe Garon is gone, for years, he has been plundering our land, or at least, trying to, but I can't believe someone who was at the same level as my father, King Sumeragi, to be defeated by Xander. Don't get me wrong, Xander has a lot of strength…. But Garon was on another level."

"…. It was… hard…. There are things that I´ll never forget… but…. It was a desperate attempt….."

"Uh? Desperate?"

"….Lord Ryoma, I don't mind telling you some details about our struggles. After all, King Xander requested our help to unite the kingdom," Silas began "To be honest, the only good thing that Xander has done for all of us, is to dethrone Garon."

"That´s harsh, you´re not supposed to talk like that about your new king…."

"It´s the true, and I'm quoting what he said, he always states that it was thanks to Kamui that Nohr is united," he sighed. "He managed to gather help from Cyrkensia, the north tribes are under Flora's command, even the rebel wyvern warriors are under our command, right now, instead of waving on war, Xander is waving in the future."

"Seriously? How so?"

"Following Kamui's and Elise's advice," he smiled. "Elise was always trying her best to secure the supply lines from the tribes and cities, Kamui was the voice of reason, instead of trying to subjugate and conquer by force, he prevented several massacres before Garon or Iago knew about the people who were arranging the outbursts."

"I see…. Would you mind telling me what happened?"

"…if it helps to reinforce the trust between our halidoms, I can't deny," Silas sighed. "….mmmm…. I wonder where I should start?"

"Everything will be fine, it will end as soon we can enter."

Kaze's words resonated in her mind. Hesitant and struggling to contain her tears, she slowly walked through those empty hallways, with a tray of food, she was looking over her shoulder to see if Kaze and Saizo were following her.

Kaze hated his brother's plan, but the circumstances were too pressing to let it slide. At that moment, they couldn't risk Kamui losing control again, they couldn't wait any longer, they needed to strike swiftly and precisely.

Right now, all she needed to do was to walk to his hideout. Every time she heard a low "thud" or some noise behind her, she had to stop for a moment, so they could catch her and resume her walk. They needed to approach slowly just to make sure there weren't any kind of traps hidden in their path.

She could hear her own heart pumping in her chest. Somehow, she managed to hold her tears and fear, all for what Saizo claimed be "the greater good."

In the end, it would be a fitting end for her. She never had a hold of her own destiny, of her own life, even if Mikoto saved her, she never could help her, or even maintain her memory and legacy. Again, she was dancing at the rhythm that everyone but her could hear. Right now, instead of cursing her own bad luck, she wanted to thank them to give her the chance to correct her wrongdoings. Kaze was too kind to her, always saying it wasn't her fault, but if she at least tried harder, perhaps the story about Kamui being a mindless beast at the festival wouldn't exist.

She quietly passed through the supporting beams at the side of the hallway and making sure she did it slow enough for the small group to follow her. She slid the key in the lock. Now her world was soundless, trying to figure out if it was empty.

"Dammit," she could hear his voice. Entering the small space, she could see the lit torch at the end, and again, she tried to fake her behavior, making sure that the secret door was open. Now, she needed to distract him for a few minutes until they were prepared to strike.

"L-Lord Yukimura? What´s wrong?" She asked, high enough for him to hear her. "A-Are you ok? You need to rest, sir," after some moments, she reached the end of that hallway to the main room. Yukimura was glaring at the orb, there were still stains of blood on his shoulder.

"Where were you?" he looked at her for a brief moment and then returned his gaze to the orb. "it´s not like it matter, just be quiet for a moment," he scratched his chin with his mechanical arm.

"L-Lord Yukimura? Did you really attach that to your shoulder?" Bell left the tray on the nearest desk. "I-I know you have been working for way too long, you need to rest, sir."

"No Bell, this is… unusual," She noticed how he was holding Mikoto's diary. Nervousness started to arise on her face, one of the main points Kaze highlighted in their plan, is that at the very least, they needed that diary. "I think it's…. Wearing off," he sighed, disgusted. "I can't believe this is happening…."

"Sir?"

"…mmm…. I think it won't take much time…. Maybe a week? I'm not sure if I need another one or if it has something to do with that beast….."

"Lord Yukimura, please, you can't think straight if you push yourself too hard, now, if you could just relax, I can c-"

"It doesn't matter, at the end, this is all that I need," he sighed, his expression was severe. "I need a more direct approach this time…. Mmm…." Passing through the pages of the diary, he looked more disgusted. "If only Queen Mikoto wrote something about improving the strength of a glyph instead of soothing that beast…."

"Sir, you know she wanted the best for everyone," Bell tried to distract him. "Maybe if y-"

"Mmm… never mind," he closed the diary, looking at the orb. "It´s not like it changes the result, this will be all, Bell," he smiled. "I believe this will be all."

"Lord Yukimura? Do you mean that we are done with this project?"

"Ah, yes, it will be all, all dead ends should be taken care of."

"O-Oh, then, I should pr-prepare the report! Maybe I can make more notes about it, I'm sure I c-" She was too distracted now, maybe it was the relief or satisfaction? The fact that Yukimura declared that it would end, she didn't notice how Yukimura approached while she was gathering the papers from his desk near the fireplace. It was not until he placed his hand on her shoulder than she froze, seeing his face.

"Your services…. Are no longer required, Bell….."

She couldn't move. His eyes changed, there was just hatred in his gaze. Opening her mouth to reply, she felt something cold and sharp, her heart beat twice before realizing what happened. Her vision blurred as she quickly moved her hands to her throat, another beat and now she could feel how she lost the strength on her legs. Falling on her knees, she could see how Yukimura looked down on her, with a swift movement he cleaned the edge of his blade, some stain of blood on his sleeve but more than anything, he was now satisfied with the scene.

"I'm sorry, but now you´re more useless than ever. I should have done this sooner, otherwise, maybe that way you wouldn't have sullied the memory of our late queen, trying to help those incompetents fools," he sighed while she fell to the floor, still trying to stop the blood, but every beat made her weaker. "It´s a shame," Yukimura looked up in time to see how Saizo was knocked off the ceiling from two replicas, now they could hear how the clash of metal above them. Calmly, Yukimura took two steps back and raised his mechanical arm to block two incoming shurikens.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Kaze screamed, throwing more shurikens to gain space. "BELL!"

"You´re like roaches," Yukimura snapped his fingers as several ninjas accompanied Saizo fell to the ground while more hands appeared from the ceiling. Kaze dashed to Bell, who was pale. He pressed her cut with his scarf, trying to stop the hemorrhage. "It´s useless, it´s a serrated knife, those who help that mongrel doesn't deserve the chance to live."

"HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?! SHE DOESN'T DESERVE THIS!" Carrying her while Saizo and the others ninjas stood up, bleeding as well, he noticed that their wounds were similar to Bell´s, blackened by something on their flesh.

"Mmmm, maybe if you hurry up, you can save your brother. I believe there´s enough time so he can write his epitaph," he shrugged as half a dozen faceless replicas fell from the ceiling. He took the diary out from his inner pocket. "Maybe you want to make a wager? If you try hard enough, you can save this diary, or maybe if you leave, you might be able to save their lives," he threw the diary to the fire. Bewildered by his actions, the ninjas looked at him, at the fire, and back to him, not knowing what to do. "Either way, this charade will end by the end of the week," he closed the grate of the fireplace, breaking it with his mechanical arm to prevent it from opening again. While the pages were consumed by the fire, he laughed, they could swear that there was a small purple fog surrounding him.

"….This is not the end." Kaze disappeared, barely in time before the replicas started to attack, followed close by his comrades. They dashed to the exit of the panic room.

"I hope so, otherwise, if I don't purge this insolence, Hoshido can't return to its former glory," Yukimura said, looking at the giant orb. Another pair of hands appeared behind it, uncoupling from its place. Four more replicas appeared. "I think it´s time to use my own panic room, it´s a shame," with a final look to the fireplace, seeing how the pages turned to ashes, he bit his lip. "Those…. Idiots…. Forced me to destroy another of your treasures…" flicking the orb while he was retreating, it glowed once more before changing color, "…and on top of that, they tried to distract me… something is happening…well, this will be the last step before my endgame," Yukimura curled his lips as the orb glowed for one last time. He laughed "…. interesting…. do you want to show you´re not a beast? …. We can´t have that…can we?" his face darkened as the orb glowed stronger.

Meanwhile, the small group retired, trying to not fall behind despite their wounds.

"…Ka….ze" Bell tried to talk, but her mouth was filled with blood, the ninja reassured her, making sure his hold was tight enough.

"Don´t, don't talk, we can think in another strategy, yo-"

"I'm…..so…rry…" All what Kaze could do while they were running away was seeing how the frail girl lost the light on her eyes.

20 minutes earlier.

"…..You look…. Good?" Hinoka sighed, making them groan.

It was just a few minutes before the sunset. At that time, Reina made the habit to stay at Kamui's side and to watch the sun disappear behind the mountains.

It was curious how that woman managed to get so close to him. Right now, they were sitting on the couch in front of the window, and somehow, she snuggled in her cape, the one she used in winter, some kind of robe made of blue-yellow feathers. It was big enough to use it as a blanket and now, Kamui was leaning on her right shoulder while Reina giggled, but there was still a strange form on them she couldn't point what was wrong at first glance.

"….Want to hop in?" She suggested.

To be honest, Hinoka wanted to, she really wanted to, even if it was rude for her to think that they looked like a hen with its chick. She couldn't picture Reina outside of that role, right now, more like a hen, she was like a hawk, a really dangerous one, so of course, she was hesitant to take her offer.

"…I….."

"Oh, actually, you don't mind, dear?" Reina asked Kamui, who was already falling asleep and yawning. When he turned to see Hinoka, she looked…. Distressed? He didn't have any problem seeing Oboro or Reina, but Hinoka was a special case, sometimes he could see her without issues, other times, her figure overlapped with a younger version of her. It was somehow disturbing, since the younger version looked sad all the time. Right now, the 'young Hinoka' overlapped more than ever to the real one. It was confusing, but strangely, he knew something was wrong with her, but couldn't figure out why it felt more 'distant.'

"I don't know…. is there space left?" Oboro head popped from the other side of Reina. Hinoka stepped back, the girl emerging from below the cape was so sudden that she almost tripped, she looked happy? There was some joy in her carefree smile.

"Who knows? I feel like there´s a small place for another one, but…" glancing at the princess, Reina curled her lip. "I don't think she feels comfortable with this situation."

"Of course not! I wanted to speak with Kamui in private!" Hinoka thought while she shook her head.

"Such a shame~!" Reina teased. "What´d you think about this, Oboro?"

"…..Comfy" the girl exclaimed, without a hint of embarrassment or guilt, actually, she looked quite comfortable.

"…..I…." Hinoka hesitated. "….I want…. To talk with him…. In private….."

Arching her eyebrow, Reina stared for a few moments, then seeing the albino, there was something on his mind. "Kamui?"

"….I…. could we have some…. privacy? Please," he replied, looking at each of them. Oboro and Reina were deciding if it was a good idea, he said that Hinoka was one of the few people he could see, but for some reason, they weren't convinced that it was the whole truth. Before they could say anything, he spoke.

"Yes, of course…. Can we?" he asked, looking at them. Reina didn't want to leave his side, but there was something important he wanted to discuss with Hinoka. It was in his eyes, and for the first time, it seemed that he had the desire to help someone.

"Very well, Oboro, shall we go? I'm sure we can fetch something good to fill our bellies in the meantime," she instructed. Oboro hesitated for a moment, but nodded in agreement.

"Thank you….." Hinoka weakly smiled. The girls left that strange robe on the albino, and in seconds, they heard how the door closed behind the princess, leaving them alone. "…"

"…." Now he knew it. At first, he could see her in that 'gray' world. The first time he blinked he could see another 'Hinoka', he couldn't remember, but certainly it was the last winter they spent together before he was kidnaped. He could see her like a vivid memory, her red cheeks, her messy hair, warm breath that left her scarf in that winter. When he blinked again, he 'returned' to that room, she was taking much time to think, certainly, something weighed on her conscience, or in her person. He didn't know what, but it must be the reason why he could see her infantile version spliced with the real one whenever she looked troubled. "….come."

"Uh? Uuh…." She sat at his side, covering herself with that warm robe, they just remained silent for a moment.

"…I…. I don't think I want you….." Kamui's words felt sharper than any kind of steel. Opening her mouth, she tried to say something, but she focused to remain calm. "At least…how are you acting right now…"

"Wh-What? What do you mean?"

"Sorry, it's just, I felt that I need to make this clear, but is hard to talk about it….." Kamui scratched his neck. "I know you want to say something, I can see it in your eyes… and in your… well, you know."

"My 'shadow'?" Kamui nodded. That´s how he described her, he didn't make sense, but even if it was unreasonable, she always tried to remain calm.

"It's selfish what I´m trying to do right now, but listen me for a moment…. It's just, I know it´s easier to say something hard if you start with something small."

"And saying that you don't want me like I am right now is something small?"

"I don't know," he sighed. "it's just, when I try to say something, I start with that, small and important, and right now, I believe it is important, but I don't know what do you want to say, so at the very least, I want to try to help you," He just hit the bull´s eye there. She wanted to know what he would think if she said she will be away from him for a while. Kaze was doing his job and there was no guarantee that he would succeed, or that they could find Yukimura, but she wanted to be part of that. Of course, that meant leaving him behind, and now saying that he saying that hurt her. "But… it's just… I don't think you´re you….. or that you´re changing? I'm not quite sure myself."

"How so?"

He struggled to answer that, taking a moment to think in his answer, he was sure what his words wanted to mean. "I…I'm sick…. Of all this….." he began again. "sick…. And tired…. To try so hard….. for something I care about so very much, just to be taken away….." he shook his head. "I know it's selfish…. But I don't want you to change…. At least not to what you´re turning into now."

"Everyone can change, it´s how we grow up."

"I don't mean that….." again, he stopped for a moment. He took her hand, lifted it, and continued. "….I remember when we were little…. You always tried to do something to calm down Sakura… you even did a lot of tricks with chopsticks….. same ones you did last time when you were nervous about the replica, or trying to figure out what to do…." He placed her hand on his cheek. "….Somehow…. right now….. I feel like this warmth is going to disappear if you keep doing what you´re doing…."

"….Kamui…."

"I know it's selfish, or maybe I'm overthinking way too much," he chuckled. "Sorry, I wanted to start with something small, but in the end…. Even if I wanted to cheer you up…. It ended with me talking a lot…. I…." he released her hand, but it never left his cheek. Looking at her, she looked troubled but, happy? There was a kind of snort from her side, but she simply placed her forehead against his.

"…Gosh… I'm so stupid….." Hinoka thought. "He just…. Took it from me…..my anxiety, whenever I had to leave him behind or not….."

"H-Hinoka?"

"Tell me, you remember more?"

"Uh? Umm…. Yeah…." Looking at her eyes, he couldn't avert his gaze. "I remember…. How we used to play in the garden…. Sometimes you used a stick to 'beat all the bad guys'….. I can see how Ryoma scolded, how… you used your hands to warm my face in winter every morning….." he really could see those memories passing through his mind.

"You remember that?" she brightly smiled, blushing but eager to hear more.

"yeah,… I do…. I remember how Takumi was angry about us getting in the bed in winter, how Sakura snuggled with us, even how….Mother laughed seeing the three of us in that position…..and how she convinced him that instead of complaining, he should´ve been sharing those moments with us….."

"That´s…. good, I remember as well….." Hinoka approached, with her chin on his shoulder, she just wanted to embrace him like that, slowly but steadily, his arms were around her as well. "What else?"

"…. Don't make me say it."

"Humor me….."

"….how we used to play in our little fortress made up of sheets and pillows, how you refused to play as the princess, that was… the last memory before Garon….."

"…." It was decided. She wouldn't leave him. She wouldn't walk away. It wasn't a petty struggle or vindication against Yukimura, but more importantly, right now, HE needed HER, "Screw it… I'm not going to complain about Oboro being with him…. He´s been making such great progress…. To think I could hug him like this again…. It fills me…w-"

"Uggh!" Kamui accidently hit his head with hers, but before that, a sharp pain struck him in his brain and chest, he fell to the ground as Hinoka couldn't grab him in time.

"KAMUI?!" She quickly tried to help him, he looked like he was in deep pain. "What's wrong?!"

"My~…. That seems nice…"Kamui froze, looking at the back of the room. He could see how the 'grey' of the world started to gather in one point, with the sound of footsteps from the shadows, the color of the world returned, but a figure appeared 'devouring the gray', her figure appeared before his eyes. "It´s been a while, hasn't? honey…" that Elise took for a moment his capacity to hear anything around him, only her voice accompanied with his own slow heartbeat. "you should know already….. that this feeling won't disappear for the rest of your life" she claimed as her face withered.
