It's been many years, but our people still remember. Why wouldn't we? For others, it may be just a part of our past but it isn't. The pain is still there, though the fire is smaller. My people still held resentment against the humans but we left them alone. It has been thought of, genocide, but what will we gain from the extinction of an intelligent species? Intelligent but monstrous; they are capable of so much destruction; hold so much anger; covets our gifts. Why couldn't we just be left alone?

Before we left, we were content. True, we experienced a civil war, particularly the second wizarding war, also called the Battle of Hogwarts. But we found out that our enemy wasn't each other but another altogether. Before the war, Lord Voldemort's beliefs and goals were made known. What was taught to us was wrong. Spreading information about his desire to wreak havoc, eradication of muggles, and world domination were baseless. After gaining his body, he changed his name to Marvolo Slytherin and was able to use his title as Lord Slytherin and Lord Gaunt for getting a political position in the Ministry of Magic. And after months of preparation, before the retirement of Rufus Scrimgeour, he was finally able to gain more support from the masses and became the Minister of Magic with Harry Potter by his side.

During his term: he passed laws that made him respected and even revered by some. One of those laws required all parentless muggle-born children to be transferred to the care of wizarding families as children are treasured by the wizarding world, another is adding content in Muggle Studies in all British schools about their history, math, and science, which furthered their understanding of muggles and their technology which is now seen as a threat by the British wizarding world. Another one is adding subjects in Hogwarts like Spell Creation, Dark Arts, and Elementals. The Dark Arts were particularly seen as evil but before Minister Marvolo passed that law, he and Lord Harry Potter wrote articles and books about such subjects which changed the wizarding world's view of the Dark Arts.

This became more certain after the defeat of the Order of the Phoenix. When they stormed the Ministry of Magic, they were prepared to force Lord Voldemort from his seat and at most kill him and the Death Eaters in attendance. Little did they know, their plans were leaked by a spy, namely Severus Snape. Albus Dumbledore though may seem as kind but was as sly and cunning as a Slytherin, never trusted Snape. Severus Snape was able to get the information by using legilimancy on one of the members of the order. Just as they were able to defeat the Order of the Phoenix, the humans came. They bombed the wizarding world in each country but the British wizarding world was the most damaged by the British government. Their muggle-repelling charms were ineffective against their weapons and because of Albus Dumbledore's position before Marvolo Slytherin was created, subjects that were taught weren't as great as they used to be during Lord Voldemort's time as a student. It was later found out that Albus Dumbledore convened with the humans if his plan failed. It was ingenious and horrible. His traitorous action led all magical creatures and the wizarding world to ruin.

Their kind was experimented with, tortured, raped. They were not able to duplicate our magic to be used by their own people. As that became known, humans found out that wizards are able to become pregnant by surgically inserting a womb inside their reproductive system. They then performed artificial insemination on the wizards, hoping that they can be used as soldiers for their country. Once the children were born they were then called Augments, as there were major defects in their genome. Before the humans planned to kill the magical creatures and, wizards and witches they were prevented by others who were able to escape during the bombing. Some were implicated during the conflict, while others committed suicide as they were not able to continue their life with humiliation and suffering.

Lord Voldemort and Lord Harry Potter were able to devise a plan to erase the humans' memories by making a memory-loss potion that will cover the whole world through precipitation. After that, they left the planet by time traveling and teleporting. The wizards and witches had to use their magic to perform incantations simultaneously while families included in the Sacred twenty-eight families had to offer their blood to strengthen the ritual.
