Disclaimer, you know, second disclaimer, this is going to be a long one, and I will be mostly sticking to the source material with a few exceptions. Just a warning.

In a rapid whirl they all suddenly found themselves no longer in the palace. But in a beautiful and lush valley. Looking around the ground seemed flat and level. It had streets laid out on the ground, but in place of where one might put houses, there appeared to be platforms separated partly by the road, and partly by flower gardens. All around they also observed groups of clowns. Dressed in brightly colored clothing. All happy, tumbling, juggling, and balancing acts of varying descriptions. They were doing all the things one would expect from a clown as well as making each other laugh. Dorothy couldn't help but giggle a little watching the sights around her.

Alex, out of curiosity, walked carefully and slowly around one of the platforms. Looking it up and down, they weren't that tall, roughly four feet if he had to take a guess. he also gave a rough estimate that they were about fifteen square feet across from end to end, with a trap door in the middle roughly four or four feet wide. Pressing his hand against it gently, he found that the platforms appeared to be covered in a soft, velvety material, and were plush like a bed. To him this made sense, if one was going to do jumping, and bouncing around all day long it was probably safest to have the buildings be made out of cushioned material.

At that moment however, three sharp claps rang out, and suddenly every clown fell silent. A clown, who appeared to be the leader of the large troupe was now standing before them. He, like the rest of the clowns as the people from Oz observed, were only about three or four feet tall, and this gave a few of them pause for thought. Glinda and Ozma however quickly concluded that the inside of the platforms were probably expanded even if only slightly, to accommodate. They didn't linger on this long as the clown who appeared to be the leader quickly made his way over.

"Your majesties, This Is Flippityflop, Prince of the Clowns of Merryland." Queen Dolly said.

"At your Amusement, Honored guests of the queen." Flippityflop said removing his hat and bowing quite low, "the queen has told us all about you, and it is an honor to entertain people from another country."

"The clowns of Merryland only serve to amuse, practicing day and night." Queen Dolly said, "occasionally some set out to the other countries of the nonestic landmasses."

"So, if we ever bump into a clown on the off chance, we go to one of the other countries…" Alex asked looking at the group, "it would be a decent bet to say they might have come from here?" he asked curiously.

"Oh, for sure." Flippityflop said all happily and bubbly, "and if you run into a clown that doesn't manage to amuse you, you can be sure they did not practice or learn here in the valley of the clowns."

"That is indeed quite interesting." Ozma said, "but I would have to wonder how any might get to some of the countries,"

"Usually, when one wants to set out, they go to the edge of the realm, cross the river and walk, occasionally they'll be carried by one of the storks from a different valley." Flippityflop said cheerily, "it is always a shame to lose a friend, but a solace to know they will be entertaining someone."

"How often does a clown leave?" Glinda asked quite curious.

"Not very, once in a blue moon" he replied, "I myself have only seen maybe six or seven set off, but it does indeed happen."

Glinda nodded at this; she had a lot of knowledge. But the great book of records was often vague about a lot of things. She knew of Merryland, of its valleys but not much about its inhabitants apart from queen dolly. She knew Cassandra had a lot of knowledge on the countries outside of Oz and had probably been to a lot of them over the years.

"And if your majesties will allow, we wish to put on a show for you, before you pass merrily on your way through to the rest of the valleys." Flippityflop said, breaking Glinda from her train of thoughts.

"We would be honored." Ozma and Queen Dolly both said in unison.

Flippityflop led them rapidly to the center of the valley, where they all proceeded to take a seat on the ground.

Flippityflop and the rest of the troupe stood before them. Once more he clapped and immediately the show began. Mirthful was a word the sprung to Alex's mind as he watched the performers before them. Joking, slapstick, tumbling, juggling, and even what could only be described as acrobatic leapfrog. Alex himself couldn't help but laugh and chuckle. None of them could repress and laughs, giggles or chuckles. this amused Dorothy as Alex didn't seem to laugh at much, at least not this heartily.

The show would go on for a good half hour before Flippityflop did a tumble, dismounting perfectly and clapped his hands loudly again. And as quickly as the show had started, it was ended. Once all the clowns were in line, they bowed low, getting applause from the group.

"I must say, that was the funniest show I have ever seen." Glinda said still giggling

"As I said" Flippityflop cheerily chimed in, "we serve only to amuse, and we are pleased to have made you so." He said bowing once again.

"It was gwate" Dorothy said still giggling, though she quickly fell silent again, mad at herself.

"Kitten, I know this is going to be completely unhelpful, but staying silent for literally everything does even less favors than at least trying to fight through it." Alex said sighing, "I mean, it could work." He added.

Dorothy couldn't help but nod in agreement at this point. They knew it was possible to fight back against magic that was effecting oneself, but they also know that it was rather difficult to pull off. Alex got to his feet at this point and Ozma handed dorothy over to him while she got to hers.

"Thank you Flippityflop." Queen Dolly said, "For such a wonderful performance" she finished

"Like I said your majesties, it was our pleasure." Flippityflop said happily, "I do hope you all consider returning to see us again sometime and we will happily amuse you with another performance."

"I hope one day, myself and my friends might visit Merryland again, and should we do so." Ozma said, her tone and face very bright, "we will most certainly pay a visit to this valley." She said.

"I shall lead you to the edge of our valley now." Flippityflop said, "where the candy man shall take over from me and show you around the valley of bonbons." He added happily.

Rapidly they moved along, following the prince of the clowns. Soon walking up a gentle hill, they came to the border of the first and second valleys. There was a notable line where the terrains met, as the ground of the valley of bonbons was more brownish in color with a very short layer of what the group assumed to be green sour candies serving as grass. They could make out houses, trees, and even other people that even from a distance, they could tell were all made from candy.

Before them stood a rotund little man, dressed in a very fancy outfit that appeared to be made as part of him. A coat with tails, fancy dress pants, and a top hat. He appeared to be made from marshmallow. But was more in the shape of a person. In one hand he held a cane that looked to be made from a long thin peppermint stick, and in the other, what appeared to be a metal shaker that one used for dusting flour. He took a moment to shake some of the contents onto himself, leaving a small cloud of white powder in the air. A sniff of the air told alex that the contents was confectioners' sugar, or powdered sugar as it often didn't say on the container.

"I do beg pardon of my Majesty and her guests, in order to prevent sticking to things I must coat myself often." The Candy man said happily.

"It's no trouble, you must do what you must." Queen dolly said smiling.

The Candy man nodded and led them down the hill carefully and slowly onto the level ground of the rest of the valley. the place was very reminiscent of candy county in Oz, as Ozma pointed out to her majesty. With the exception being that a lot of the people appeared to be made from one solid piece of candy.

"Indeed." The Candy man said, "Very well observed your majesty."

"The path below us" Alex said looking at the brown road beneath them and taking a moment to jump, "What is it made from?" Alex asked curiously.

"A hard fudge, its quite delicious." The candy man said.

This caused Alex, Ozma, and Glinda to stop.

"You eat your walking path?" Alex asked curiously, "surely that often leaves gaps in the road that people stumble into."

"Only those who are not careful." The candy man said, "but yes, it does occasionally happen." He added dusting himself again with the sugar.

Eventually they came to a particularly large house, with walls that appeared to be made from giant pieces of licorice.

"Occasionally some members of the other valleys do come here." Queen Dolly said, "so the candy man's house is quite large."

"Bit like the houses in candy county." Alex observed.

The candy man nodded and led them indoors. The house was just tall enough to prevent any of them from grazing the ceiling.

"Unfortunately, unlike the valley of the clowns, I could not make the houses that the clowns use too much bigger, or the clowns would always require ladders to get out of their houses" Queen dolly said.

And with a wave of her wand, some extra licorice chairs were suddenly in the room, large enough for them all to sit on. The Candy man took a moment to dust each one generously with powdered sugar.

"I think what stops the people from candy county from sticking to things is that their ground appears to be made from mostly a pure sugar that's compactable like snow or wet dirt." Glinda said as she watched this, "the wind certainly blows it around."

"My wife will return in a few moments; she's gone to collect some refreshments." The Candy man said happily.

"This is one of those cases, Alex." Ozma said turning to him, "where wearing dark colors as you always do, tends to be a problem."

"Oh, it will brush off easily enough I'm sure, if not ill just have to grin and bear it." He said brushing off a chair. It creaked uneasily but seemed sturdy enough.

A few moments later, a woman who also appeared to be made from marshmallow and was dressed as fancily as the man and just as short and fat staggered in with a large, covered pitcher, and a large basket.

"Candy woman?" Alex asked curiously

"Indeed." She said, "though a lot of the citizens of this valley do have names, and may I say it's an honor to be entertaining guests as well as the queen." She added with a stiff curtsey before standing still long enough for her husband to dust her with sugar.

"It is our pleasure." Queen dolly said.

Soon they were all sat down. The pitcher had been filled with pink lemonade, which the candy man explained came from a stream that ran along the valley. everyone who could enjoy it agreed it tasted quite good. Dorothy just sat on a chair silently watching. Not having much to say. In the basket were literal candy fruits, they looked like fruits in appearance but where candy all the way through. An apple that was a gummy apple flavored candy with black licorice seeds.

"The Queen has explained the situation of your friend here" The candy woman said referring to dorothy, "since she cannot presently enjoy the pleasures which you guys are I shall take the liberty of retrieving more candy fruits that you may take with you back to Oz." she said before quickly leaving.

"That reminds me, Ozma?" Fayth asked curiously, "how come you're the one carrying dorothy, surely alex would prefer to be doing that?"

"She was closest too her when Twinkle suggested carrying her" Alex said, "and I really don't think it's a good idea to keep dorothy and the scepter within touching distance at the moment, otherwise I probably would be doing so"

Fayth opened her mouth to respond to this but shut it again. she looked at the scepter then shared a glance with her sister who also shrugged.

"you're worried it might do something worse." Fayth stated.

Alex nodded and looked at it

"she's able to take and obey orders, case in point with the beast, but she has proven that she does like to have a bit of fun on her own accord." Alex said sighing "she seems intent on showing off, to prove a point to us."

With that the scepter let out a single ping.

"Okay, scratch out the seems like and add is." Alex said rolling is eyes "But we already knew the fact that you're a powerful object of power." He said

The scepter let out a series of pings

"there's a time and a place for hands on experience though." He said back to it.

"it's always amazed me how you two seem to be able to put words to her little pings and bells." Ozma said looking at it, "what amuses me more is the fact that you're typically right about what she wants to get across."

Dorothy turned her head to look at the scepter and thought back to when it first started doing this. Candy county, when it tried to warn them about the sink hole and the molasses pit. It hadn't wanted to move over it and in fact had tried to prevent them from doing so. The irony being that had she and alex not left the scepter where it had been. They wouldn't have made it to Marshall mallow in time and would have had to rescue him from the pit. It was that day where the scepter had really started trying to properly communicate with them. She recalled for a moment, when it was shattered, it had jerked in her hand to move itself into the path of Evanora's spells, spells which it absorbed, and took damage from. But even before that as they had often pointed out, the scepter always had something of a mind of its own. Other people could use it in the right circumstances, but it only truly answered to herself and alex.

"I do have to apologize for this, a lot of our conversations get sidetracked a lot, the scepter has just been the most recent culprit to this." Alex said, snapping dorothy from her train of thought

"Oh, it's no trouble" The candy man said, "its been quite an entertaining discussion."

"Their conversations typically are." Glinda said, "entertaining, but occasionally worrying."

"Anyways, we were discussing the roads before we started" Alex said pouring himself a small cup of the lemonade"

"Ah yes." The Candy man said, "We had to go over them often, so that no one has the misfortune to trip and fall due to the occasional gaps."

"The people of candy county, I observed" Queen Dolly said, "are a lot more flexible than you all tend to be, they can fall over and usually don't break."

"I imagine the difference is due to the magic that created the land of Oz in the first place." Ozma said looking over at her.

"We can only assume that is the case" Queen Dolly said nodding, "as your mother's present location is currently unknown."

"So, people occasionally fall and break here?" Alex asked curiously

"Oh yes" The candy man said with a nod.

"Surely being made out of candy they'd be easy to stick back together?" he asked in response.

"Only occasionally." The candy man said, "sometimes though, someone falls and breaks into many pieces which makes them unrepairable."

"What do you do then?" Alex asked taking a sip of lemonade.

"Well, we usually split the pieces amongst their friends and family, those who cared about them most, and they consume them with breakfast." He said

The shock of hearing this caused alex to choke on his sip of lemonade. Glinda thumped on the back a couple of times until he coughed and caught his breath. Ozma, Fayth, and zinnia all looked a little uneasy at this. Dorothy, even in doll form couldn't shake off a little queasiness that this brought on but said nothing. Glinda was the only one who seemed to be able to keep her composure but looking into her eyes told them that even she was shocked by this.

"I'm sorry, but…they consume the pieces?" Alex asked

"Indeed." The candy man said, "it would be a shame for the candy to go to waste."

Alex said nothing at this, he looked as though he were trying to fight back the beast at this point. He took a few deep breaths, then sighed.

"I mean, they're different from the people of Oz, and especially candy county, where everyone fears the idea of being eaten." Fayth said looking over to him, "they're similar but different at the same time."

Alex nodded, but this didn't make him feel anymore at ease. Though for the sake of politeness he said nothing about it. and proceeded to change the subject to other things. Once the candy woman returned with another small basket, which she handed over to Zinnia. Queen Dolly decided it would be best to move along to the other valleys. They thanked them for the hospitality and after spending a few moments to dust themselves off the best they could, made their way towards the next valley. the Candy man led them to the bottom of the hill that went upwards towards it and bid them farewell hoping they would visit again sometime.

The next valley as they got to the top of the hill, was made up of a beautiful garden. All the flowers appeared to be of the same variety but of different sizes. They all appeared to be tended to by storks who hummed at they flew about.

"The flowers" Queen Dolly said, "are baby blossoms, if a baby is born from one that blooms it takes the shape of a citizen of one of the valleys, which the storks will deliver"

"and." Said one of the storks as they passed by it, "if it blooms without one, it means a baby has been born elsewhere." It finished before flying off to attend some more flowers.

"that's rather interesting." Ozma said looking at them in awe as she looked at them, "they're beautiful flowers as well."

They all nodded in agreement at this and looked around. The flowers were yellow, and bulb shaped. Most of them closed. They did witness one open however, though it was empty, and within a few seconds it faded away, vanishing and being replaced with a bud. A stork immediately landed before them and began tending to it.

They didn't linger too long in this valley and were soon climbing over a hill that brought them back to the valley of dolls. Being able to see it from a high vantage point, they observed that the valley consisted of a large city with queen dolly's castle in the center. At the moment it seemed to be still. They assumed that queen dolly had put the people to sleep before departing. Quickly they made their way through that valley. as they came to the hill on the opposite side and got over it, they were met with a particularly large Maltese breed cat, wearing a bow and a crown.

"This is King Felis, leader of the Valley of cats." Queen dolly said.

"a pleasure to make acquaintance." King Felis said slinking around them, "I am not trying to be rude, but I do smell a strong scent of dog amongst you" he said sniffing around.

"that's probably me." Alex said

"Very strong scent." The king said as he approached alex

"it's a rather long story, but I am able to take the shape of a large wolf if I wish too" he said, "though I imagine that would not go over well"

"I would have to agree with you" King Felis said, "for there are no wolves in the valley of cats."

He proceeded to lead them down the hill, to the city of the cats. The houses were almost as tall as alex were, and looking into them, they looked to be made specifically for cats to live in comfortably. All the cats were large and of varying breeds. It looked to them as though all breeds were here in one form or another. they all looked at the group curiously as they passed, some jumping up onto the roofs of their houses. Other's just taking a glance then going about their own business. As they came to the center of the valley, they heard what appeared to be a chorus of cats meowing. And looking around there seemed to be several on various roofs doing so.

When enough cats get together, most people find their meowing in chorus grating or annoying, but here it sounded sweet and beautiful. King Felis asked to group to be seated which they did. Something odd seemed to catch the Feline king as he walked up to Ozma and gave dorothy a sniff.

"And you, despite being in the form of a doll, smell very strongly of cat, and molasses" King Felis said.

"Long stowy" dorothy said thinking it rude in this case to not say anything.

"Perhaps one day I shall hear it." The king said "but for now, let us entertain you" he said

He turned to look at all the cats and nodded. Soon a beautiful chorus was meowed by the cats. Something that came as a surprise to all of them. It was long, it was beautiful, it sounded sweet yet somber. This went on for a good while, as the song seemed to come to a natural conclusion. Everyone applauded at this, and the cat choir bowed their heads. Soon however, they all vanished from their rooftops. Most of them seemed to disappear inside their houses.

"That was very entertaining." Ozma said, the others nodding in agreement.

"Thank you, your majesty." King Felis said with a nod, "I do hope, after this that you choose to return again sometime."

Dorothy turned her head to look at alex, who didn't take long to notice. The both of them seemed to be in silent agreement that if they ever returned to Merryland that this valley would be one of the ones they wanted to really see again. Dorothy also had a hope that if they returned to Merryland, she might be able to do it in her proper form. With very few words after that, Queen Dolly and King Felis led them to the edge of the valley. and he bid them farewell and slinked away quietly.

"Visiting this valley is always a treat." Queen dolly said, "the cats and the clowns are two of my favorites."

"I can see why." Glinda said looking back at the city.

As they climbed the hill into the next valley, the first thing they noticed was that there was a very thick wall of trees surrounding the area. Just peeking through the gaps, they could make something out. Queen Dolly carefully led them to a gap in the trees large enough to walk through. And soon they were greeted by a funny looking man.

He was made, alex observed, out of different types of wood. All jointed together like a marionette's but split down the center. Other than that, he appeared to be a completely normal wooden person. They all noted the wind-up key that he held in each hand.

"I apologize" he said quickly but disjointedly, "for not being at the top of the hill to greet your majesties, but I had to pull myself together first.

"It is no trouble Mr. Split." Queen Dolly said.

Looking around, they appeared to be in a city that consisted of various kinds of toys, either windup or old tin toys. They observed a small train track going around the city.

"Mr. Split? I assume that's because of the split down the middle?" Alex asked curiously.

The man nodded. "I am usually very busy winding up creatures and people, it is a job of two people, and I am able to do it as two when I split."

"that's very interesting" alex said with a nod.

"I assume that rings true for a lot of the valleys you have passed through." Mr. Split said, "I do not leave this valley as everything would wind down if I did"

"And then it would be very quiet until you returned." Zinnia said nodding

"Exactly, but the routine must go on." He said excusing himself to wind up a wind-up bear that stopped close to them.

It thanked Mr. split and then bowed to the queen and her guests before trundling off. He led them through the valley, stopping to wind things up as he went along. Before they had gotten completely through it, there was a clacking, almost crashing sound, it took them a minute to find that the train that looped round the city had jumped its track. Nothing appeared to be damaged, and it had tipped over to the side that wasn't facing the city.

"Oh dear." Queen Dolly said looking at it, "I had forgotten that had a habit of happening."

A wind-up policeman and fireman turned up at the scene, looked it over, scratched their heads.

"Well, it seems we have once more missed the trouble" the policeman said sounding like he was winding down

"I shall have to rectify the problem later your majesty, I do apologize that that has chanced to happen during one of your visits" Mr. Split said before going to wind up the policeman.

"Just like the land of Oz, never truly a dull moment." Alex said watching this.

"Indeed" Ozma agreed.

Dorothy nodded though she wasn't sure this was noticed.

It did take them a while to get through the rest of the valley. however, none of them could say that the sight of Mr. Split running every which way in order to wind up citizens.

"The last Valley, is a tiny bit dangerous as there are literally things everywhere." Queen dolly said with a sigh.

"Oh indeed." Mr. Split said as they came to the end of the valley.

"Why is it like that?" Ozma asked curiously

"Because its where a lot of lost things have a habit of winding up." Queen dolly said, "lost pins, needles, toys, destroyed books, jewelry." She said listing them off

Mr. Split said nothing, he did a low bow, then split off into his two halves and ran to continue his work.

They carefully made their way up and over the hill. And they couldn't deny that there had been truth to queen dolly's words.

"The pins that occasionally pop up can be dangerous, but someone appears to have managed to make a decent walking path at some point." The queen said, "though I haven't the faintest idea as to whom."

"I'm surprised your magic didn't zap you here" Ozma said,

"So was I, and that was one of the reasons I wound up with a rather annoyed air about me" she said with a nod.

"But you were found again, and while you weren't left in the most ideal of circumstance." Fayth started

"There were people who knew exactly where you were, just not anyone who could immediately help." Zinnia finished

They looked at all the lost things, the piles were set in such a way that they were interesting to look at, but none of them dare touch anything for fear of upsetting the balance.

"Occasionally I will come here with a few servants to collect jewelry or cloth or such." The queen said looking around, "it can be a bit dangerous like I said, but my fairy wand always manages to help out in a sticky situation."

"a fairy wand is rather useful, with fairy magic being less limited in most respects of the word." Fayth said nodding

"Indeed." Both queen dolly and Ozma said nodding in agreement.

"That being said." Zinnia said, "this place is kinda depressing, looking at all this, makes me wonder why this place doesn't have a couple of inhabitants to sort out and do stuff with the lost things."

"Oh, my other subjects come here every now and again as well." Queen dolly said assuredly, "all the stuff here is eventually reused, but people will always lose things once they deem themselves done with them"

They all shared a glance and nodded at this, as there was some truth to it.

"Well at least everything here will eventually serve a purpose." Glinda said, "that means that this place will always serve a purpose as well."

"I assume other dolls occasionally wind up here." Alex said

"And they are allowed to join our society if they wish." Queen dolly nodded.

It didn't take them long to get to the end of this valley, which was blocked by a high mountain of lost things. Then with a woosh they were back in the palace of the valley of dolls.

"I hope you have enjoyed the tour of my domain" Queen dolly said cheerily

"It was a real treat." Ozma said, "I do hope we are able to keep in touch."

"That can most certainly be arranged." Fayth, Zinnia, and Glinda all said in unison.

"Oh, that will be lovely, I do hope you choose to visit again sometime" Queen Dolly said, "and hopefully the next time, Ms. Dorothy can keep her proper form when that does happen."

"We can hope." Alex said looking at the scepter. "That said, it has been a pleasure and an interesting experience, speaking on behalf of myself, the beast, and dorothy."

Dorothy nodded at this.

"May I have the honor of returning you all to your palace in the city?" Queen Dolly asked curiously

"You may, your majesty." Ozma said smiling.

Queen dolly waved her wand and without another word there was a woosh. And they all suddenly found themselves suddenly standing in the throne room. Madeline was still sat on Dorothy's throne, taking a deep breaths, and looking rather pale. The scepter let out several pings. Ozma took this moment to set dorothy down on the floor. It immediately began feeding energy into her.

Madeline took in one sharp breath and held it as dorothy began to transform back to her proper shape. Rapidly, she was growing. Her body returning to normal. She wobbled as she reached her full height.

"Oh, sweet Lurline that was awful." Madeline said regaining her breath.

"Pwease don't do that again" she said, before pursing her lips "Wats" she said again.

"Once again, credit for trying kitten." Alex said sighing, "and credit for trying you" he said to the scepter.

Meanwhile at glinda's castle.

Elphaba had spent a good majority of the morning checking around the shelves of glinda's castle eventually, she did find the jar though, in the kitchens. It was on top of a high pantry. Not wanting to both Chuck, she found the shortest stool she could safely stand on and used it to add to her already tall stature in order to reach.

"I hate that these things are magic proof." Elphaba cursed under her breath

As she was about to climb off the stool however, she lost her footing due to the shoes she was wearing and fell backward. Or would have had someone not steadied her.

"Elphie, I do a lot of unwise things when I'm in a rush or just distracted, but even I wont wear heels while standing on a stool" Glinda's voice said.

"Ah, Glinda, I saw most of the trip before I resolved to check in here" she said holding up the jar.

"That thing can bounce you know" Glinda said, "its magic proof and shatter proof"

"it's the magic proof part I have disdain for, why is it so high up?" she asked curiously.

"It's where aunty kept it" Glinda sighed, "not that any of us would willingly go after these." She added taking the lid off and one of the contents in the jar out.

It was a large yellow lollipop, oblong in shape. It had a slight glow to it, and apart from the strong scent of lemon there was the distinct smell of magic to it.

"Remember these like it was yesterday." She said putting it back in the jar.

Hopping off the stool, Elphaba giggled.

"Well, thanks for the save." She said

"anytime" Glinda teased

"she's not going to enjoy these you know." Elphaba said glancing at the jar

"They aren't meant to be enjoyed, they're a remedy." Glinda said taking her hand and squeezing it, "still I wish we didn't need them in the first place, cant be helped now."

"Indeed." Elphaba said tucking the jar under her arm and summoning her umbrella to her.

And with a wave of a wand they returned to the emerald city.

So, yes, I kept to the original material where I felt I could but made choice alterations here and there. The people of the Valley of Bonbons consuming their properly broken is from the source material, and the valley of babies was modified a bit. Otherwise, most things were kept to their source best I could
